The wonderful thing about them never being canon, though, is that they have always been wholly ours, doubly so since the show ended. I mean, there’s a reason they have such an emotional pull on me (and so many others) when I haven’t watched a single episode of Glee in years. It really is remarkable, the fact that they were the most popular ship in the entire fandom - and maybe still are by certain metrics - despite not being canon.

I guess what I’m trying to say that even when Glee is dead and buried, Faberry might still live. Because these two girls, these kind-of-friends-but-girlfriends-really, these we-can’t-stand-each-other-but-we-understand-each-other-in-a-way-nobody-else-does, these starcrossed-almost-lovers girls mean more to the world than they do to Glee. The Glee writers spat on them like they did to every female character. We, the fandom, built them from those ruins.

And I like to think that when we’re in our eighties, we can look back and remember them fondly. Miss them, yes; but they’ll exist as long as we do.

Omg what horror games? I need recs esp for smaller stuff. I’ve only played Callisto Protocol but I have alien isolation and I think a couple resident evils thanks to PS+

To be fully honest, I've only actually played The Last of Us - I've been so hyperfixated on it for the past year and I can't bring myself to play anything else - so I feel like that's probably not much help because it's so mainstream ajsjdk... I will recommend it to literally everyone though because it's so fantastic!!!

Based on streams I've seen, I thought A Plague Tale was fantastic! It's maybe more of a puzzle game but I'm pretty sure it still still falls into the horror genre - tbh I just love historical fiction so much that I don't mind either way! Also anything from the Dark Pictures Anthology I love - Man of Medan looked really good but I'm pretty sure the streamer I watched missed out on a lot of the story because of a choice she made early on in the playthrough! I keep meaning to buy The Devil in Me but haven't got around to it yet - it's based on the H H Holmes murder castle which is... incredibly exciting to me!

My only gleeboot thoughts: yes, it’s inevitable. But it should, if it wants any chance of being good, focus on new characters - a new school, even - and be completely fresh. Be the fun new thing for teenagers that glee was for us in 2010, rather than trying to bring back old fans (us dedicated ones will likely begrudgingly watch out of morbid curiosity anyway.) And give it to electric new young writers. Save the cameos for later on when it’s already good. Everyone will be sceptical so surprise them by making a really good TV show that continues the spirit of what glee *wanted* to be. But that’s just me!

Yeah this would be the best scenario. I've listened to the full podcast ep now and I kinda like what they were saying about keeping the spirit of it but of course I wouldn't trust Ryan Murphy with the execution.

To really succeed, at least in a "be good" kind of way this show would need to be its own thing. In today's pop culture climate? That's impossible. Because it would only even be greenlit if it capitalized on nostalgia as much as possible.

How do you think Rachel Berry is doing these days? I like to think she’s doing well. She’s glad for autumn. Isn’t huge on hallowe’en but loves the chance for some decor.

Rachel Berry does not do Halloween. People are surprised when they hear this, almost invariably, given her penchant for dressing up, but she’s always felt it cheapens the idea (and there’s still a part of her that thinks it ruins the fun if everyone’s doing it).

Once she has kids though, she loves dressing them up - not that she needs an excuse for that. She insists that herself, Quinn and the kids do a family group costume every single year, much to Quinn’s bemusement.

She does love winter. If you pushed her, she’d say it’s her favourite. (This is one of those rare ways in which Rachel and I differ completely - I’m a warm weather girl through and through.) She loves her sweaters, and hot, sweet tea. Long, fluffy socks. And it’s her birthday! It’s her season, really. And now it’s getting close. So, yes, I’d say she’s pretty excited.

When was the last time you cried? Sunday night. I was worrying about my cat's health.

Do you have kids? I do not. I think I do want them though.

What sports have you played/do you play? I'm currently in a pickleball league and I'm having lots of fun. And I played lacrosse when I was in High School.

Do you use sarcasm? Yeah, I can be a bit sarcastic at times.

What is your eye colour? Green.

Scary movies or happy endings? I like both but if I had to choose, I would go with happy endings.

Any talents? I think I'm a decent writer.

we've never interacted, beyond a few of your answers to my anonymous questions, but - hang in there. i know things are rough right now, and no words i can offer can fix that. but there are people who admire, and value, and are rooting for you - and i hope that can be some comfort. i wish i could offer more than just words right now, but i've always enjoyed your writings, and your videos. hang in there. (and that jurassic park video rocked btw.)

But at the same time, like, my mom died, so if there was ever a time I deserved a little extra emotional comfort, now would be that time, I guess.

Thank you for the message. I've said it before, but it bears repeating: when you're dealing with impostor syndrome or whatever, it's easy to forget this kind of stuff. All your brain tells you is "You're toiling in obscurity, your numbers aren't as good as they could be, other people are doing WAY better than you are, and now your world is collapsing"

It's good to hear another voice push back against that.

And that's like a lot of stressors, I guess, right? It's a common thing to have a problem, like a health issue, or something to go wrong with money, or whatever, and feel isolated, like you're the only person who's ever had this happen to you. And often all it takes is for someone to confide in you, to confirm that you aren't alone, and suddenly everything feels so much better. You don't feel like a freak anymore.

And I know that for someone like you, doing this probably takes an amount of courage. You don't want to be a bother, you don't want to be misread, but the world would be a better place if more people things like this for each other.
