Synopsis of story:

They unite with Sally and the Freedom Fighters, inspired by the events of the ''Countdown to Chaos'' arc from the Archie Comics. This marks the start of the "Neublite War" arc, where Werehog Sonic's potential involvement is contemplated.

Amidst strategizing for the impending conflict with the mysterious robots, the team gears up, anticipating a significant showdown.

About the Game: Space Diner is a cozy, narrative-driven sci-fi slice-of-life/ management game set against the unique setting of Jupiter’s second-largest moon. As the new owner of a space diner, you’ll juggle various management tasks, cook meals, unlock new recipes, upgrade your equipment, and keep your establishment afloat. You’ll get to know a diverse array of regulars, each with their own stories and relationships.

What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a talented programmer who can bring Space Diner to life! You should have a strong sense of character design, background art for world-building. A passion for sci-fi and/or cozy, slice-of-life games is definitely a plus!

Our ideal programmer has experience working in a game programming language of their choice, is willing to communicate and brainstorm all aspects of the game design/gameplay mechanics to gradually take the game from its early-ideation stage to implementation.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the game designer/writer to implement gameplay mechanics and features.

Work with narrative designers to integrate story elements into gameplay.

Contribute to the development of cooking mini-games and customer interaction systems.

Participate in playtesting and provide feedback on game functionality, do debugging based on playtesting/beta-testing.

it is absurd how different my grad school experience and life trajectory would be if my school didn't hire the c#/unity professor right when they did. thanks to that one course i have been throwing myself wholeheartedly into game development and i feel like i've finally found The Thing I Want To Do. i get to be an artist, a musician, a sound designer, a problem-solver, a developer, all at once. i get to be experimental and i get to have fun and i get to make things that are really cool. i get to do a little bit of everything and learn so many new things. i get to leave my own mark on the medium that shaped me so much growing up!!!

but i never thought i could do it until i took one course that showed me that i could, and now i cannot imagine any other future for me. like will it pay my bills? probably not. but i am going to keep doing it anyway. until it stops being fun and rewarding, but right now, it is so fun and rewarding. it is worth the slight stress of giving myself deadlines, because i am making things that are so cool. words are failing me and i'm tired but it just feels Really Good to know that i've found something that feels so right. i don't have to choose between art and music and code. i can do all of those things!!!!!!
