It is done! I’ll take some better pictures soon but for now here she is on the dress form. I actually really love it. I still feel like I’m going to dislike most of the dresses I make, esp. if they are new or complex. 

I went with hooks and bars over a zipper so I could adjust it if I lose or gain weight but this means I can’t close it up myself. Not the worst since this is for special occasions only.

I’m glad I went with the dots under the bees, they add a little bit of depth between the bees and the satin without being distracting. I can also stuff this washer and hang dry it!

I know lots of folks have already done one of these! BUT! This is one of my favorite tropes, so... here are some of my faves! As a note, these largely range from ~vaguely medieval~ to incredibly well-researched SPECIFIC 'Medieval' to ~general regency ish~ to VERY Regency to various points in between.
