social experiment time! reblog this & put in the tags:
what medium you first experienced hitchhiker's guide in,
what language you first experienced it in, and
if it was an audioless/text-based medium (eg books, game, graphic novels) how did you first think to pronounce Zaphod's name?

Tell me about a book you like!
Recently i've been thinking about The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy again after two years since reading it and also one of my friends turned my attention to Last Chance To See and WOW i need to reread Douglas Adams, i didn't realise how british-humor-deprived (or just Douglas-Adams-humor-deprived) i've been. Ford and Arthur are both different flavours of The 'Tism and Arthur deserves to get a decent cup of tea, even in space when earth exists no longer. They are just 4.5 idiots (counting Zaphod here as 1.5 of an idiot) with a depressed android hitchhiking across the galaxy and reluctantly saving the universe
