I dug up even more old tumblr formatted interactions from my WIPs and these are from the only DPxDC fic I have. It's officially called the Butler Apprentice AU, since it features a Danny whose been employed and trained by Alfred as an fellow butler. (It's loosely inspired by those who serve. by aryelee)

Some context: The main plot revolves around Danny and Dick. In this world, Danny is 5-8 years older than Dick, and joins the family shortly after Jason's death, becoming an older brother to Dick. It's all really one big excuse to write Dick having an older brother, and how I'd think he'd act. (Roy and Wally count, but also kind of don't. They big brother each other, yknow? If he had a proper big brother, I think - like Jason - he'd act 70% more kid-brother-ish.) I admittedly don't know Danny that well aside from too much fanfiction, half-remembered episodes of the show I watched as a kid, and fandom wiki research though. So characterization might be dog crap and this definitely does focus on Dick more.

ANYWAY. Without further yapping, here you are, under the cut:

Dick: He's my... (I can't call him my friend, that's a bit too impersonal. But anything closer might be crossing a boundary.).... He's my.... uhhh...

Danny: um- Older brother! (Is that fine? I mean we are close and I think of him as a younger brother but maybe I'm overstepping. The kid just lost a brother after all.)

Dick: *Looking at Danny like he just hung the stars in the sky and named them in honor of Dick.* 🥺 Yeah... He's my big brother.

Danny: (Oh, wow. Dick really liked that, maybe he actually thinks me of a older brother! I've always wanted a younger sibling.) 🥺 Yeah, he's my little brother.

The Titans: Why are they staring at each other like that? *Snaps fingers in front of their faces.* Hello...? Guys??

Danny: I'm here if you need to talk. Whenever. (I doubt he's going to, he barely knows me, but I'll offer anyways so he knows he has support.)

Dick: Oh, wow. Thanks, I will. (I will not. It's all my fault for letting Jason die, I don't deserve selfless love and attention where I don't give something in return.)

Exactly 2 minutes later.

Dick, sobbing his eyes out: -and I was so MEAN and HEARTLESS. Am I meant to only hurt?? Why is my love never enough to keep anyone close? To save them?? It wasn't enough to save my parents or Jason! Did I not do enough?

Danny, patting Dick on the back: (Oh, @$%&.) Kiddo, breathe.

Danny: Oh- um... Want a hug?

Dick: *Used to being around people who never offer hugs.*....Really?

A month later.

Danny, talking to the grocer about optimal apple growth: -Yeah and I was really hoping to get them for my employer's dining tables as decoration but- Oh wait, one sec my brother's here.

Dick: *Darts from around the corner and tackles Danny in a hug.* Hi, I followed you. :)

Danny, the wind knocked out of him: You... followed me all the way from the Manor to the grocery store, why exactly?

Dick: Wally canceled on our plans and I am bored. Entertain me, Danny.

Dick: I used to hang onto Bruce all the time, yeah. Then I got too big and we stopped.

after mc gets the new robot companion, xavier grows a bit jealous of the perfect companion

A knock at the door was heard, before MC could open it her new companion robot she had nicknamed phel was already on it.

as soon as it opened the door, a confused xavier greeted it. he looked at the robot and the door number, double checking he hadn't knocked on a stranger's door. chuckling at the situation, MC quickly went to greet him.

"thank you phel, i got it"

phel nodded and walked away, leaving a frowning hunter at the door.

"i didn't know you were busy." xavier said, a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"oh no! thats just phel, the robot companion we had talked about. I got it a few days ago, guess i forgot to tell you. come in"

the two walked in to the living room, the taller one wearily looking at the robot doing something in the kitchen as he sat down.

"whyd you get one?"

"im always too tired to do household chores, thought itd be a good way to lift up some stress from my shoulders"

phel aproached the two with tea, pouring it onto two cups, adding sugar to one of them.

"just how you like it, MC"

"thank you phel!" she smiled at it as xavier added sweetner to his own drink. the robot bowed and left the pair alone.

"i dont like it."

"oh is the tea not to your liking? i think i have other types, i can ask phel to make another pot-"

"no. i dont like the robot."

"...why?"

"its off putting. you dont need it"

"hm... i think it looks pretty great. its customizable"

"so you designed it?"

"if by designing you mean i selected the short brown hair and blue eyes option then yeah. i think i did some other stuff to it but not much."

the comment had made xavier frown even more. MC sighed and put her cup down.

"okay this is clearly a bigger problem than phel just being off putting, do you wanna talk about it?"

"well... not in front of it" he mumbled. MC rolled her eyes and grabbed his hand. "Phel, we'll be in my room. Please dont enter unless an emergency has happened" the robot nodded and continued wiping the kitchen counter.

she dragged the sulking hunter and sat him on her bed, looking down at him she spoke "so, whats wrong?"

"is it your ideal type?"

"HUH?!"

"i mean you designed him to be what you like, right? if you want me to dye my hair thats fine-"

"woah hold on. are you jealous of it?"

xavier fell silent, fiddling with the string of his hoodie. MC sat down next to him, wrapping her arms around his waist and placing her chin on his shoulder.

"y'know i love you right? i could never replace you. much less with a robot."

"it can be here all the time, it can cook, entertain, comfort and other cool features the ad talked about..."

"yknow what it cant give me? it cant give me warmth during an over night mission. i cant feel its heartbeat rising because i did something cheeky. i cant see its gaze softening as it wakes up and realizes its me. it cant be xavier, and thats all i need."

the two stayed in their position as a soft silence filled the room, xavier placing a hand over hers and squeezing it.

"...i can learn how to cook"

"i- xavier you dont need to-" she said as she laughed.

"and im good at cleaning, ill help so get rid it"

she chuckled a bit more before placing a quick kiss on his lips. "ill return it tomorrow. and for the sake of our building, you can just buy me takeout."

i always liked android and robot stories, i feel like theres a lot to explore even tho it has been getting repetitive in recent media. so when i got this chat i was inspired to do a fic based on it. first time writing xav kinda nervouse

deltarune ramblings. spoiler warning

yknow, with all the stuff around the prophecy... defying fate... i think i understand what deltarunes trying to say a lot more, now. the whole "only one ending' thing alludes to... well, the prophecy. the in-universe One Ending that is right there on the script. perhaps a different take on this whole "what if you could change fate?" is what inspired undertales main Thing, even!

but like. it makes the "your choices dont matter" messaging make so much more sense. its not just about control between us and kris, but its between... the prophecy and the people that are part of it. heck, i think its reasonable to assume now that the shadow crystals probably... had to do with the prophecy, giving glimpses into that pre-determined-fate. naturally, gerson, who has made himself clearly a metaphor/symbol of finding your own way instead of following some set path... is one who declines the shadow crystal that he is given.

but like, yadda yadda brain went on a big train i was thinking. hm. how will deltarune end?

and yknow, randomly, i just started thinking about... well.... after chapter 5, supposedly the prophecy ends. we'll pick up the pen ourselves- or... the 3 heroes will, i should say. go beyond their destiny, into something new. i think they've already deviated a lot, i mean heck susie doesnt wear ribbons! but like okay. what happens after the prophecys end? i... will they either reach the end and continue beyond it, or stretch it so hard that it doesnt get to reach the prophecised conclusion, and thus takes longer to reach the "true end" ...also, in regards to the prophecy of "the angel, banished, will meet its desire" ...thats totally gotta refer to us, the angel, wanting to see how the game ends, right? thats the desire? i think thats the desire. its a desire that toby fox / gaster has, too. but its one that we have. and, if toby is to believe in us as nice players... then well. our desire is to see everyone happy, right? i 100% think the story ends with our banishment, as the final way for peace. not that thats the Last Prophecy, though. whatever that is... was clearly something fairly personal to susie. i dont think she'd give a damn about the angel.

its all very curious, but... anyways. that concludes some deltarune ramblings

okay, time for thoughts BEYOND deltarune:

anyways, that kinda stuff also got me thinking about... yknow, i think it'd be. separately interesting. to see more pieces of media delve into "what happens after a story ends? after the world is restored to peace? after the heroes win?" like i saw an interesting video, once, and... it was a deep topic about... "Endings" in peoples lives, like criminals, and how ... like. how does life go on for them? i think it'd be interesting to see that in a game. a game where you follow the story of a villain, after they've... well. fulfilled their part in the story, and they've been defeated. what happens next? how do they ... continue a life for themselves? how can they, considering what they've done? when is it right to? what can and cannot be forgiven?

and... also, i think a lot of stories of the kind of "good guys defeat bad guy" in general tend to end on "and so everything was peaceful again, and yet no one knew that any of that happened. we pretended it never happened, or moved on quickly" but i ... really wanna see more stories that really, really go into the aftermath!!! what happens when theres no more Bad Guy to be fighting after. how does the world climb back up from near-destruction? not just what do the heroes do after it all, but... how is the rest of the world effected? do they really just go "well, that happened. anyways" but also, what of the heroes? of the good guys? are their deeds known? what of the eldritch chaos or evil monsters that were defeated... are those things KNOWN about, or is the knowledge of them having ever existed... just left to be forgotten ... as it perhaps should be. i dunno, i think it'd be neat to see a Normal World where people are alive who experienced those absolutely abnormal things. like in deltarunes case uh. people who literally saw titans, saw the roaring, and thus believe susie when she says "yeah i killed a titan once, with your dead father, alvin" but ah, i dont expect smth like that lmao. its certainly not a BAD thing to end stories on a note of "mm, lets keep this to ourselves, alright? lets close that chaotic chapter, and get back to normal" ...but it'd be cool to see some more games end like that. getting to see people believe that such a grand journey happened, as opposed to just. not knowing there was one but ah, i dont think that'd fit deltarune. i think the end of deltarune... will ultimately have it be a little secret between the dreemurr and holiday families, at most. a story to look back on. who says anyone needs to know the DELTA WARRIORS saved the world or anything? all we need... is friendship, and peace

Also, what about the other girls? Murderface feels like another butch, almost try hardy, but I also see her as not having a label at all because she's trying to give herself as much as a chance to get laid by a pretty girl. Pickles feels more fem. Not Skwisgaar fem but definitely fem. She's a "Marlboro Reds and Whiskey" kind of gal, probably doesn't know the word shame. And Nathan, I feel like she's undecided, like she found an aesthetic that works for her but she wants to venture out but is too scared of being made fun of, so she's stuck in a comfortable place, but she wants to explore what else is out there.

ohhhhh my gosh so there’s a lot because. i have my own personal dykeklok headcanons, and this lipstick lesbian skwisgaar and hey mamas toki is kind of its own separate thing. i’ll put it all under the cut because there’s a LOT.

so in the hey mamas tokiverse that @god-impeaching-dj and i have been cooking, i’ve actually been imagining skwisgaar and toki as the only lesbians in the group. the rest of the band are men and they don’t know if whatever the fuck skwistok has going on is a lesbian thing or a scandinavian thing. toki calls skwisgaar her princess and skwisgaar calls toki her daddy because OF course they would, head in hands. we’ve narrowed down their aesthetics pretty well, skwis is kind of pastel goth inspired, she wears pink and black nails, she has heart-shaped nipple piercings, everything!! toki is. basketball shorts. grey sweatpants. sports bra. snapback. she still has her mustache though!!! and kandi has been using rhea ripley as a body ref for their art of toki 😍😍. they’re the worst most annoying tiktok lesbian couple of all time, totally cringe.

as for my dykeklok headcanons, they’re COMPLETELY different. i have them all written up somewhere, but i don’t wanna find them lmfao. the long and short of it is that in my dykeklok/dragklok universe (which is the universe i wrote in for dethentine’s wheeeeee), they’re all lesbians but they perform and make public appearances in drag as drag kings. but that’s a secret to the public!!! they do it because misogyny in the metal community RIP. but also then no one will recognize them when they’re just at food libraries or whatever. and i refer to them like this:

nat started speaking in a death growl to avoid being clocked for her voice. pickles thought she was a trans man in the snb days but detransitioned just a bit afterwards (still kept the goatee). murderface didn’t figure out she was a trans woman for a while because she didn’t know you could be trans AND gay. skwisgaar is queen of the butch who gets mistaken for a twink by gay guys. toki went on E just to get top surgery. a lot of these are inspired by lesbians i’ve known in some way or another ✨ love the lesbian experience. and yknow it’s definitely hard for me to pin them down as butch or femme. because the butch/femme experience is SO unique and SO important to a lot of people (myself included) but it’s also not the only way to be a lesbian. there’s a reason that in the hey mamas tokiverse, i refer to skwisgaar as a lipstick lesbian and pillow princess instead of high femme. i reblogged a poem about the difference between the a lipstick lesbian and a femme lesbian at some point, it’s in my femme tag (as a butch i don’t feel totally comfortable trying to explain it, i’ll let the femmes speak for themselves 🩷). i do think they could all be different flavors of butch or masc though, even skwisgaar. i’d just really have to think about it and try to nail down my designs (I DON’T DRAW BUT I’M TRYING).

hello!! :D I asked for a spoilerless preview of 13s seasons a while back on anon, and your answer really got me excited to finish my rewatch!! took me a while because uni doesn't allow for binging the way high school used to, but I just finished season 12 the other day! I've enjoyed chibnall's era more and more the further I got (season 11 still definitely isn't anywhere near my favorite, but liked it a LOT more than I did on my first watch, knowing the foundations it was laying), and I LOVED the first episode of season 13! SO much! I haven't gotten further but I really wanted you to know haha, it's fun, it's exciting, it's got awesome new characters -- I so wish chibnall had gotten into the groove a little sooner, because this is exactly what I hoped his era to be! imagine if we could have gotten 3 full seasons on the same level... ahhhh I'm super excited to watch the rest! especially since several of the episodes you mentioned were your favorites are from season 13 -- and the first episode isn't even one of them!

Ahhhh oh my days hi hi hi!! I am SO so happy that you've enjoyed s12 so much! I think s12 honestly might be one of my favourite seasons of doctor who (although there are a lot of excellent contenders), simply because it just inspired me so much. There's so much to dig into. And yesss I think s11 works a lot better in context of the rest of it, which is super interesting. Actually, honestly, it all works SO nicely as a whole unit, which is super satisfying - to me, at least - but I suppose that hampered it when everything first aired, because we didn't have the whole picture (but also, that is how tv works sometimes ksksk - there were and are a LOT of bad faith viewings of this era, and it makes me so sad because I know that the moment you dig into it you start to realise just how rich this era has been). But yknow, what you say about s11 is interesting, because I do know a lot of people who really love it exactly as it is and always have - there are quite a number of people who got into Doctor Who because of s11, so I think, whilst there are things I don't like about it, I reckon Chibnall did approach it in a particular way with a particular intent - and it worked for some people, but less for others. And like, in a similar vein, I've actually found myself defending Moffatt of all people lately, despite the fact that I really don't enjoy like, two of his seasons, as well as a lot of things that he tends to do. But it's because I think like....hm, I guess I've lately found it really helpful to remember that all the writers are just humans who are putting stories and art out into the world that they want to create, and are sharing it with us - it's never going to be perfect, despite how much we want it to be. And there's always something of value in each era, right? Each of the main showrunners we've had since 2005 have had strengths and weaknesses, and there's something about each era that I absolutely adore. That said, there's definitely value in expecting better in certain degrees - but then you get people making hour long videos about how the show sucks now and I get so tired skskks

BUT YEAH sorry for rambling, your ask just got me thinking thoughts - much more importantly, you've got THE REST OF FLUX TO WATCH ahhhHHH have FUN!! War of the Sontarans is next and oh my daaaaays i love that episode SO much (I literally said as much earlier today and my coworker was like 'yes taka i know you love that episode' SKKSKSKSKSK SO. YKNOW) but honestly I just adore Flux. It's got such classic who vibes - I've started watching some classic lately and it's so funny seeing what inspired a lot of the structure/style of Flux (like the STUPID CLIFFHANGERS oh my days we need MORE of those). So I really hope you enjoy the rest - and the specials too!! "blackbeard is both ed and izzy, ed can't be free of blackbeard if izzy is alive, and if izzy dies, ed will never return to being blackbeard" i'm sorry. let me make sure i heard you right. even when both izzy and ed have found love and acceptance, even when izzy is his own person, having "divorced" ed in episode 3, even after izzy's shown being supportive of ed loving stede and quitting being a pirate... izzy still has to die to free ed. and this is fine and normal, and not the proof that there's something kinda Fucking Wrong with ed. sometimes you just can't be fully happy until that one person who's moved on from you and from whom you have moved on as well is fucking dead. and that's okay! hashtag self care. i gotta be honest i'm impressed. i don't remember hearing of a more fucked up dynamic, and this one belongs to a silly comedy show! truly, the writing for this show is exceptional. and by that i mean at this point i'm starting to wonder whether i've had a stroke at some point and it's only catching up to me now

"he’s found value in not having a distinct role or purpose on the ship, decoupling his worth from the job he’s expected to perform"? aah, huh. hmm. well. well that's. hm. yknow guys i'll get back to you later i think, i need to sit on this one

"do you really think con, an experienced actor and an adult, would feel bad about izzy dying? especially after getting to explore this character so well, especially after djenks has said he took it well?" well i can't say what con would feel because i don't know the man personally, right, but if i had a chance to explore a character i really like, play him finding his happiness, queerness and place to belong unconditionally, and then found out -- halfway through the shooting, despite my character's death apparently being known to the writers from the very beginning -- that he dies shot by the antagonist who symbolizes everything he hates, not even during a fight or a duel, not even protecting someone he loves, but just because he was the nearest pirate, and his last words are all about inspiring the guy whose lil depressive episode cost him a leg to fucking, hashtag be free and live his truth, while everyone else kinda just stood by and watched and didn't even try to help, i guess because eh, if he dies he dies, then actually yeah, i would think it's a little bit unfair, i suppose. but that's just me of course

HM. YKNOW, with as many times as I've personally romanticized the story of Eden (in an ex-christian, probably heretical/blasphemous way) myself, you'd think I'd've realized sooner.

Her name is EDEN.

His is LUCIEN.

I'VE DEDICATED SO MUCH OF MY BRAIN SPACE TO THINKING, LIKE, "wow it was honestly based af for Lucifer to go and bring knowledge to the humans stuck in Eden, I'd smooch the fallen angel fr fr" AND YET. IT TOOK ME UNTIL THE LATEST CHAPTER TO REALIZE THE NARRATIVE PARALLELS FJJFJFND

god I do love the story so far tho 🥺 gnaws on my phone... we love the allegory. We love the themes (even if we're a little slow on the uptake lmao).

No one ever believes me when I say this but this was not 100% intentional lmao. 

Eden is an old oc, she's incredibly flawed and frequently has ill intent. She is selfish and values her own goals more than most other people’s well-being. I called her Eden not only to call to the faux sense of safety she inspires, but also bc more than anything it was important to me that she felt human. Not redeemable or misunderstood, mind you, but fundamentally human and flawed in ways that show aspects of her that are worthy of being understood (something that flawed female characters often do not get as much as male ones do)

For a long time her name was Eve actually, before her apprentice and Lucien were ever created, but it never felt quite right. I really like Eden bc it does give you that sort of sickly sweet sense while I think, also really rooting her in that story of base, fundamental humanity.

She is so incredibly flawed in the way that humans are wont to be. She thinks of herself first, she seeks power and control, and she does it in the name of her own base humanity. (just in the way that readers overwhelming sense of trust and empathy is in the name of hers)

All of that and the whole isolation thing and some other things that I can't mention bc they're spoilers are intentional. 

The Lucien thing fully wasn’t. When creating Lucien I had the reader character (she was not a reader character at the time lol, rip Valentine, ur still the same character but ur name was so cute) in mind and I wasn’t rlly thinking about the whole Eden situation lol, the fact that it lined up so well is either a happy accident or (more likely) my catholic upbringing doing a number on my subconscious lol. 

His name is so close to Lucifers bc I wanted it to feel like he was an archetypal demon, not some exception to the rule. I didn’t want readers to be able to dismiss that fact or distance him from it, it's my way of keeping that front and center.  

The connection between those two names is so serendipitous I frankly cannot believe it lol. Stories have a way of doing that, I’ve found. You form all the themes you can but try as you might, a story will form its own. You just have to adapt to it and make those themes the best they can be. 

So just know ur not alone in missing it for a little longer than you should lol, happens to the best of us my dear

3. your favorite piece(s)?

as of now, my most favorite piece, off the top my head, is the greyscale thing i drew of lucia from tmk. i was messing around with brushes i had saved but never really used and the textures came out nice. i like the work i did on that canvas in general, i felt i got a good hold on her character. i tend to be happy with full body colored stuff i do of characters as of recent. most things i crank up the warmness on for a character and then slap a square bg on i tend to be more than satisfied with. same goes with playing around with brushes. fuuta trash and trash was a fun dabble in trying to recreate another style, and la maine de gloire i like for similar reasons. i hold a fondness for my deep cover william wisp redraw and we outta lightbulbs though that may just stem from a lot of attention on a pice that took a lot of effort

17. what is something youre confident about in your art?

uhhhhhhhhhhhhh i suppose my color choices and stylization. i like toning up the warmness + saturation and lowering the brightness of my art for a cozier feel and i like how it turns out. whenever i do contrast checks (literally just turning a piece to black and white to see if my values are good) the results are pretty good. i think most of the reason why im confident in my stylization is i just kinda like how it looks. some amount of the time i just do doodles that are just linework so i feel like ive gotten comfortable in how i translate things and i also tend to work from references. also ive been told my art style is quite unique and i feel that is the root of it

19. where do you find inspiration?

inspiration! this one is fun! at least for some amount of how i do(/did) eyes and how i color i draw from lavendertowne! her art is very cozy and nice looking, its cartoony but you can see anime influences in it. i think that's probably my main one. i also look up to drawing wiff waffles, she was the first artist i ever really became a fan of! whenever i do pick up alcohol markers (not much nowadays) i make sure to use a colored pencil for sketching. she's prolly also the reason i make sure to carry a kneaded eraser for traditional art. i like watching scott christian sava's videos. being an older artist with more life experience makes him sorta feel like the most mentor-y to me. also he's very nice and some amount active here. yunayuispink is who i mainly use for tutorials. their art style is simple but that is not to say its bad! the colors are nice and the linework is nice. i also like marikyuun's art. her use of linewidth and colored lines makes her work very merchandise-esque as she says. i own a couple studio ghibli art books that i should probably be busting out more for references. their films are very pretty. i also like to take bits and bobs from my moots' art styles that i think are cool. for instance, i think the main reason i tend to gravitate toward thin messy lineart is @/not scorb on here. though i think mine tends to lean messier (or maybe moreso them doing it gave me the confidence to post art like that.) i also take influences from other anime/manga, vaguely, often to the point where i just kinda forget the names. there's probably more but this list is very long already so ill stop

24. whats a compliment about your art that has always stuck with you?

hm. im not really sure. it might be from my bad memory in all honesty but i feel like most of the compliments ive gotten recently just tend to be a "great work!" which i dont mind or take for granted but its not really that descriptive, yknow? actually i remembered one. one time i drew different characters from a thing in chairs i thought suited them (lore rise) sitting based upon their character and i remember someone told me i was talented from the way i portrayed my personalities from how they sit. it really stuck for some reason, i dont know why actually. also being told my art is unique when i was asking my sib to describe my art style bcuz i didnt really know how. it just felt nice to know it was really something that felt like mine !

The headcanon for his family started as a joke, with me going "Hey what if the mask etho wears makes him talk like Kenny from South Park.", then it went onto "Don't make Etho's family based on Kenny's.", and then I made it inspired by Kenny's :]. His neighborhood is Rough. A father that's never home, and a mother that doesn't even know his name. She doesn't notice etho being gone for hours at a time. The parents, when bringing Etho home from the park, are always a little wary driving through his neighborhood.

Skizz's mother Juno is a gem. She's a little overprotective of him, but it's not overbearing. Besides, she has reason. yknow that vine that's like "I can't swim." "How old are you?" "Six." And the guy throws him in the water? That's Skizz's dad. He's nearly died multiple times. Its a miracle hes still alive, hes practically an angel at this point(;]). That's why Juno's currently in the middle of divorcing him, but that does take a while.

ahhh i have a LOT of headcanons and it feels like a lot of them vary based on which AU/story i'm working with, hc's are a lot like trying on clothes at thrift stores for me — sometimes you just wanna try a new one out for size and think 'hm!' @ the mirror, it's what makes community engagement so much fun imo !

but i will ATTEMPT to narrow down some of the constants i find when working with rymin and ones that aren't, yknow, confined to specific AUs — although i'm sure if you're familiar with paper trails, you know some of these already lmao

RYAN

HE LOVES REPTILES. You HAVE to know this about me by now but i push ryan lizard propaganda like my life DEPENDS on it!!! He loves bearded dragons in particular – his favorite girl is named Spitfire and she’s a proud lesbian (min in the bg telling ryan to stop pushing a sexuality on her, but he’s ignored). But he loves snakes too, and spiders and lizards…I imagine he names them all after musicians for funsies, spitfire just happened to break that code for me bc i liked the name too much lol

Second thing people probably know about me is how hard i push anti-beatles ryan akagi bc it’s true

He picked up a habit of smoking on the road and he’s since then quit – going cold turkey after getting abducted by a train will tend to break that habit

His sibling’s names, in order, are Alexa, Miya, Ethan, and Eikoh. Both his sisters kinda had to mother him; though he’s closest to Miya (who’s an interior design/textiles major, also engaged) bc Alexa had a severe case of eldest daughter syndrome and it made her pretty snippy – she also fled the nest the second she could and only really calls to yell into the receiver about her job and secret girlfriend

Ryan’s a Schrodinger’s Gender situation for me, so it fluctuates often just based on what story i’m telling. In the AUs/stories where he’s transmasc, ryan names himself after a homeless guy named Ryan who’d sit outside his family’s local supermarket and play a sick riff. One day baby ryan spotted him throw a banana peel at a police officer was chasing him (for dignity’s sake, he always tells friends he was just inspired by ryan roxie, the guitarist)

(also in these AUs, he has insanely intense cycles due to the cursed cocktail of anemia/endometriosis, which leads to minor complications when he’s on the road and can’t afford T/birth control anymore. It’s a whole Thing, he had to be hospitalized for it at age 13 and the doctors basically shrugged, as doctors do. I’ve wanted to explore this caveat before but never found the time, oh well)

also shoutout to prism who engraved 'pt ryan transfem' into my brain you were so real for that

his specific mental diagnosis is also a roulette wheel based on what story im working with, shrug. idk who said that min is adhd in an autistic way and ryan is autistic in an adhd way, but whoever said that changed my life so ty and you're right!! i also lean towards him having/on the watchlist for forming bpd - looking back on pt i believe he showed signs of bipolar disorder

Tulip and Ryan are bffs. I’m not budging on this. They make friendship bracelets and play mario kart and sing karaoke and ryan does her hair bc lake won’t do Femme Things™ with her anymore and they love each other SO Much

Ryan’s acespec; I touch on this whenever I can, but this plays a Big role in his relationship with the music industry. Sex Drugs And Rock N’ Roll is a subculture he could never fit into for a plethora of reasons, and it was another way he felt isolated while going solo due to all the aggressive expectations. He’s sex-POSITIVE, bc it’s important to me to shed the stupid ‘asexuals are all sex-repulsed puritans’ agenda i see being spread sometimes. He thinks it’s fun, and with the right person it is!

He's the one who gets carsick/boatsick and is terrified of flying

He's really into boozy cocktails but he'll pretend he isn’t — he likes tequila and vodka which is funny bc i picture his favorite drink to be like a hurricane or sex on the beach

He's lost a lot of friends by reviewing their mixtapes

He really gets into making pastries and desserts farther down the line! Depending on the timeline this could be a hobby encouraged by a therapist or just an interest he picks up naturally, with min always finding comfort in food and cooking himself

MIN-GI

His mom’s name is Soo-yeon and his dad is Tae-hyun. He visits Jeju-si in the summer since his mom has two sisters living there

Min loves helping his mom around the kitchen/folding laundry. His parents have a huge garden out back with flowers and some veggies, and he likes harvesting from there when his mom lets him (she’s very picky about who touches her flowers!)

Plants are min’s comfort item; they’re basically to him what reptiles are to ryan! He’d cover the entire van/flat with them if he could, he loves succulents in particular and he likes to sing to them

He’s a HUGE dog person!! Whenever he’d come visit the Akagi’s he’d make an IMMEDIATE beeline for the family dog; however when his mom bought a Pomeranian to cure her empty nest syndrome, he despises it (for comedic purposes he only addresses his mother's dog as The Dog)

He leans more on the side of whiskey in drinks; he also likes gin. His taste in alcohol is definitely WAY stronger than ryan’s, less diluted with flavors, but both have the same level of tolerance. he enjoys a good sazerac

He’s a dark chocolate kinda guy

He won the spelling bee in grade four

Once he travels with Ryan and becomes more comfortable with his identity, I think he'd experiment with gender and appearance. while i enjoy seeing gender hc's for My Lads, for me and my writing it's nice to work with a min-gi who embarks on a gender journey and comes back deciding he likes being a cis guy just fine. not that this affects him playing with makeup or clothes lol, also if he were to wear skirts at all they'd be long and loose

Wherever I can apply it, Simon and Min are always gonna be roommates who are stuck in a perpetual loop of basically reenacting that always sunny ‘mac and dennis move to the suburbs’ episode

He looks up to Grace a lot; she’s kinda The Mentor Friend who intimidates you just enough for you to get your shit together, and outside of Kez he'd consider Jesse his closest friend

He loves cooking! He likes making hearty meals for his friends, and he especially enjoys teaching them how to cook if they’re curious

20. favorite emotional moment?

i definitely have to go with robin's coming out scene for this one. there are several other good emotional moments throughout the show, but this one really takes the cake for me because it's just SUCH a good one!!! and it's not very often that we get a gem of a coming out scene like this one, it's just so well done, and i could really go on and on about the scene. PLUS it sort of solidified thee platonic soulmates, like, from this point on they are IT for each other in that sense, yknow? and steve and robin's friendship is truly one of my favorite things about the show.

50. top five absolute fav things about stranger things in general?

ooh hm well i suppose:

the friendships!! there is such a huge focus on friendship in this show and i LOVED that so much. i feel like the show has sort of strayed a little bit from this in the later seasons, but oh man, season 1? that shit HITS, the friendships there are SO good, they're SO strong. like the party? i love that little group of kids!! they're so ride or die already!! they clearly love each other a lot! and then when el and max join the group, they become Part Of The Team too and i love them and i love their specific friendship too! and steve and robin my favorite dynamic duo!!! there is TRULY no other platonic soulmate best friendship out there like theirs, it's something special. and also the kids' friendships with steve (especially dustin!!!) it's SO good!!

the vibes are just so good too. like i was born after the 80s lol but there is still SUCH a sense of nostalgia with this show, again especially in that first season! there's just something about a bunch of kids riding around on bikes fighting monsters that hits different yknow?

steve's character arc!!! steve is probably my favorite character of the whole show and just the way they did his arc is one of my absolute favorite things ever because they did it so WELL. like, asshole popular jock who realizes that he's wrong and realizes that he fucked up and actually puts in the effort to fix what he did and to make things right and to mean it too, that's just SO GOOD. THAT is how you do a redemption arc. i just love steve so much, he deserves his whole entire own bullet point here lol.

i feel like if i give steve a whole entire bullet point for himself i HAVE to give eddie a whole entire bullet point too because that man.... well, he changed the whole entire game. like i've said it before but i was just a casual fan before s4 - watched when new seasons came out, talked with friends about it, but i was not part of the fandom. like i didn't look through the tags, or reblog a whole lot outside of the occasional gifset or smth, and i certianly didn't write or create any of my own content/hcs/etc. but THEE second that eddie munson walked onto that screen he stole my god damn life from me. that guy dragged me over the edge of that boat and right through the watergate with him because once i saw him i was HOOKED and i did not look back. so yeah, it's entirely eddie's fault that i am here today and i adore every single thing about him and what he stands for and who he is and i wont get into it because this post will really never end but i am SO disappointed with what they did with him and how they chose to *end his character arc (*clown shoes are FIRMLY on tho bc i am honk honk fully onboard with the we have not seen the last of eddie munson train soooo lol).

the absolutely incredible fantastic wonderful beautiful amazing inspiring awesome ridiculous epic EVERYTHING that everyone has created in response to this show. i love stranger things, i do, but we all know that there are certain things - characters, relationships, arcs, plotlines, etc. - that have missed the mark, that could have been better, that could have gone a different way. and it is the fans, it is the writers, it is the artists, it is the gif makers, it is the editors, it is EVERYONE who puts their heart and soul into creating for this fandom that fills in those gaps, that fixes things, that takes these characters we know and love and breathes even more life into them, takes them to new places, lets them explore things they deserve to explore. i will forever be grateful to everyone in this fandom because of this!!! it's incredible and it's the best part of the whole show, truly.

You have been scouring the hellnet for cat behaviors for weeks. Husk refused to purr and you were determined to get him to feel comfortable enough to do it. The article you were reading explained fifteen cat behaviors that connected a few dots for you (the slow blinking was essentially him blowing you kisses).

"What're ya readin', sweetheart?" You jumped as Husk's voice pulled you from your focused research. You clicked off your phone and put your full attention on him. He blinked slowly at you, making you copy the action with a burst of fuzzy feelings in your chest.

"Just an interesting article. What's up?" Husk didn't answer and walked over to you, sitting beside you on your couch. He spread his right wing to drape over you. You reveled in the soft feathers and comfort it brought you. Humming in content, you leaned over to lay your head on his shoulder. He bonked his head against yours and you smiled. That means he loves you.

"Hm, that smiling bastard forced me to join this bullshit thing the princess is tryin' out." Husk huffed and leaned into you more. He must be tired, he always was when he had to deal with Alastor.

"Want me to beat him up?" Your offer was met with a strained chuckle. He usually got uneasy when you said things like that. This Alastor must be tough if Husk's worried about you fighting him. You weren't weak by any means, Husk knew that, but he always got tense at the idea of you even meeting this guy.

Husk's body began to get more rigid by the second, so you decided to use the knowledge you learned. Reaching up your hand slowly, you made gentle contact with the fur under his chin and started to scritch softly. You expected him to pull back, but were pleasantly surprised when he leaned into the touch. Moving your body to face him, you lifted your other hand to smooth the fur on the left side of his face. Husk's eyes closed as you reached up with your left hand to scratch behind his right ear. A broken purr escaped his throat. You almost squealed but didn't want to break the moment.

He leaned into you more, making you lie on your back while he rest his chin on your chest. You continued your ear scritchies and ran your right hand through the fur between his shoulder blades, massaging it slightly. His arms made their way around and under your back to hold you closer. He lifted his head up to nuzzle into your neck, licking your hairline there. Husk rubbed the side of his face into your neck and pressed the top of his head into your jaw. You knew what he was doing. Scenting you is a way for cats to mix their scent with yours in a show of affiliation. Mixing that behavior with his more human instincts could also mean he's trying to warn others that you're taken. Your stomach filled with butterflies and you gave him a kiss on his head before nuzzling back.

"I love you so much, you know that, right?" You spoke softly. His purring increased and he placed his ear on your chest to hear your heartbeat. His claws flexed softly under you in a sort of kneading motion. You were practically purring yourself as you continued to run your fingers through his fur. His wings were draped around the back of the couch and you.

You wouldn't trade this moment for anything.

author’s note: um hi??? my first ever work with an hp character??? this is dedicated to @anchoeritic (my wife) because she gave me this lovely prompt and inspired me to start writing again! i hope you all like it :) also sorry if it was rushed at the end,, i really wanted to get this out tonight and i got kinda lazy towards the end.

“oh come on y/n! just one date? i promise i’ll leave you alone if you absolutely hate it.” 

you rolled your eyes as you turned around again to fred weasley. also known as the prankster and most annoying prat that could get any girl he wants. for a couple of days he’s been asking you on a trip to hogsmede, but of course you declined. since then, he hasn’t given up, much to your dismay. 

“weasley, what did i tell you the last hundred times? no, i will not go on a date with you. now, if you would excuse me, i have to get to potions and i really don’t want to end up in detention.” you were determined to stand your ground, not that you would give in to him. the fred weasley. 

“why won’t you say yes? is it because you’re deathly afraid you’ll fall in love with me?” he smiled cheekily and you scoffed at him. “is it my looks? just tell me why and i’ll let you go to class.”

if you were being honest with yourself, no, it wasn’t because of fred’s looks. you would never admit it to anyone else (especially not fred) but he was absolutely gorgeous. once in a while (which meant almost every day) you’ll let your gaze on the red head linger for far too long but fred being the oblivious bloke he is, never noticed. which is why you were so surprised when he started a conversation with you in transfiguration. it’s not like you’ve never talked to him in your life, but you didn’t think you were that type of girl for fred weasley. you weren’t a girl that practically swooned when he passed by or laughed obnoxiously loud at his terrible jokes. it was known throughout hogwarts that fred weasley hasn’t had a girlfriend since third year but has snogged almost everyone in your year. that’s why you were so afraid to say yes to him. 

and you weren’t going to. ever. 

something that you were always proud of was that you were a prefect. your nightly patrols were always calming. despite seeing creeping students throughout the halls, you always pretended you didn’t see them. but tonight was an exception. as you were walking you heard shuffling which made your grip on your wand tighten. suddenly, you felt a strong hand on your upper arm and instantly you turned around, pointing your wand at the stranger’s neck. 

“blimey great reflexes there, darling.” you didn’t need light to know who it was. you recognized the voice anywhere. it was fred weasley, of course. you could imagine his stupid grin and his stupid, stupid red hair. you felt a strong urge to curse at him as you lowered your wand. “godric weasley you almost gave me a heart attack! what the bloody hell are you doing out past curfew? i could give you detention yknow.” you proudly crossed your arms across your chest and looked up at fred. 

“i know you would never do that to me sweetheart you’re far too nice and you know for a fact another detention won’t hurt me.” you noticed that his words were slurring. 

“oh yeah? try me-” just as you were about to prove him wrong, the piercing scream of filch searching for fred interrupted the both of you. he suddenly slapped a hand over your mouth and dragged you into the nearest broom closet. “you know i’m not going to get into trouble right?” you said proudly, gesturing to your prefect’s pin. 

fred rolled his eyes playfully, “of course i know that but where’s the fun in sneaking around alone?”

it was now that you noticed that you were awfully close to him and his breath smelled of liquor. that explains a lot. you tried to ignore the fact that your heart was beating so fast because of how close you were to him and that he smelled a lot like lavender. 

“y/n?” “hm?”

“why won’t you just-” hiccup “go on a date with me? what’s the matter w’me?”

you sighed, not really knowing why you kept rejecting him anymore. you’ve had boyfriends before and you’ve shagged plenty of people, but making excuses was easier. “blimey, i don’t know fred maybe it’s because we’re barely friends or that you shag almost every girl our age- oh! probably because you’re the most annoying bloke i’ve ever-”

instead of wanting to listen to your rant any longer, he pressed his lips against yours. at first, your eyes were kept open, not wanting to give in. but of course, it was fred weasley, and you just had to get a taste. his hands cupped your cheeks and he kissed you in the most gentle way possible it made you want to melt. you didn’t want to admit it, but godric you really enjoyed kissing him. but as fast as it came, it was over. 

fred looked down at you and brushed a hair behind your ear. “i like you y/n and i’ll wait a million years to convince you to go on a date with me.” he whispered, “you’re gorgeous and you...”

“and i what fred?” 

“you take my breath away, truly.”

at that moment you could care less if filch was outside hunting down fred or that every girl you know has shagged him. 

and it was safe to say, the next day you were at hogsmede at fred.

2. What tropes or fandom headcanons are you involving? Are you challenging any tropes or headcanons?

OKAY. This is hopefully the only time I will ever use dad!Schlatt. I dislike that trope personally, but it is very brief and I like the outcome so I let it live. In better news I’m using the Ranboo and Niki are siblings trope which I’m quite fond of. There’s also gonna be blind!Eret which is a trope I’m very sentimental about <3. What else hm. Drug dealer puffy. That whole deal.

I’m also trying to make myself make everyone morally dubious. Which they already are in the dsmp sure, but I want to have different mobs at war with each other even if that means having many characters I like all hurting each other. Like. The only moral absolute in this story is cops are inherently bad and everything else gets fuzzy morally lmao.

9. How do you feel about this WIP? Is it frustrating? Fun? Strange?

So, the fic this is loosely inspired by was a collaborative project including many authors, which makes sense because the nature of this au is a ton of perspectives and subplots and it is a huge undertaking for one person. But I am very enthused so. Hopefully that’ll get me somewhere lol. Even if I had someone willing to join the project I don’t think I could cope with it being collaborative because I know exactly what I want for each storyline yknow. We’ll see how far this takes me. I do have an ending in mind which helps keep me focused but it is far away.

11. Is this WIP inspired by anything/anyone?

Years and years ago when I was like, still in the beginnings of high school I read this super crazy 1920s mobsters au. It was really good and read more like a novel than a fanfic, it has since disappeared as far as I know, but that was a very cool premise. I can’t remember what the plot actually was, but it definitely got me interested in that sort of au!
