What do u guys wanna see from a messy carmy fic like this?? I’m trying to come up with scenes and meat for plot but I want some outside input

For example here are some scenes I vaguely have in mind

Carmy being rly mad and arguing with you and you argue back and shut him up by giving him a blowjob in the back (LMFAO)

You doing a REALLY good job at handling the chaos of a day in the kitchen and he is like “come to the back for a reward” and he gives you head

hits different: ‘you were the one that I loved, don't need another metaphor, it's simple enough’. muse a and muse b were everything, their first real love and now that they’ve broken up neither of them are dealing with it like they should. i just want to see messy exes who truly adored each other, getting drunk on the weekends and showing up at doorsteps, not dealing with jealousy, always ending up tangled together even when it just makes everything worse. just angst and pining and desperation.

glitch: muse a and muse b are insanely different, so people are constantly shocked when they find out they’ve been friends for a long time. no one who imagine that’s not all they are, because they’ve been friends with benefits for a long time now, self-sabotaging their own relationships at times and swearing it’s just some fun until they find someone permanent. but of course feelings start to get involved and neither of them is willing to admit it because that would just fuck up what they have, right?

the last great american dynasty: this is the entire vibe. basically muse a is a wild girl, she’s always down to any last minute plans and her life is a constant party. muse b on the other hand carries with all their families expectations, they’re expected to behave, don’t get their name on the magazines and eventually take over their parents role (bonus points for royalty but honestly any old money kinda business works perfectly). of course, muse a turns muse b’s world upside down. i wanna see them sneaking around trying to avoid rumors and muse a taking muse b to every party they shouldn’t be at, and muse b just throwing around their money and being happy and just letting go for the first time in their life.

illicit affairs: ‘look at this godforsaken mess that you made me, you showed me colors you know I can't see with anyone else’ if you ask me, there’s nothing like a good infidelity plot. the plot could begin when the affair is brand new or when it’s been going on for some time but every time muse a tries to break it, muse b just gets them right back on the palm of their hand. i want to see the heartbreak of desperately wishing for someone who can never be yours and having to settle with anything they can offer. bonus points if muse a is somehow related or has a relationship with muse b's partner, it can be siblings, best friends, anything, it's just way more sad that way and i love angst.

This is weird but! Do you have any tips for someone who wants to start wearing binders? I’ve wondered if I should start with a compression top first just to see how I feel about it? I can’t afford to invest in something that I won’t like/ won’t be able to wear due to comfort reasons ya know? Not in this economy

i have absolutely no idea where you live lmao BUT i would say there are definitely a few options so u can try on a binder without buying one first, or u can always return one that u try on & don’t like (just wear a thin tshirt underneath)

but ok so the first is that a lot of lgbtq centers will have binders or be able to connect you to local binder programs! there are more free / discounted binders out there than u might expect, which is awesome. i can’t specifically help w this but if u hmu off anon i could

secondly most queer sex stores have binders that u can try on. again, age & location dependent, but it can be a great fun & affirming space too

i think if u are able to get a binder thru an org, the policy will probably always be that u can return it to get a new size or style; most likely the same if you got it at a sex store.

for ordering, right now i would go with underworks for your first binder, their quality has stayed consistent & they last for a long time. make sure that you measure yourself properly before you buy or order anything, bc sizing doesn’t work like a bra or sports bra (you have to measure your shoulders & your chest to keep ur body safe). my org used to work w gc2b but there have been a ton of complaints from the community in the past few years; i know they’re “revamping” their QA but i’m not sure what that actually means lol. gc2b does have tons of skin color options for their nude binders, so hopefully the quality does legitimately improve bc i rly loved their stuff years ago. but yah for now i would say underworks is probably ur best bet for a comfortable(ish) binder

other basic safety stuff — don’t bind for over 8 hours, make sure you break up binding with both rest, & if you’re able, gentle movement (transyogateacher on ig has a wonderful series for chest & shoulder relief). w a s h your binder omg lol. a binder is an undergarment so you should wash it every time you wear it, like underwear, but at least every other time. you can wash it with dish soap or a small blob of detergent l & hang dry, so it’s v quick & will help ur skin stay healthy! (plus, less gross). if u wear a binder during sport or movement, be sure to wear a size up. & most importantly if ur binder starts to hurt, take it off

if u want some help connecting to a local free or discounted binder program & ur in the US i can definitely help, if ur not in the US i can do my best to help lol so lmk!

That was on anon SCREAMING aha anyways . I was that really anxious anon asking about advice for meeting up with online friends lmao 😭😭😭 back then the plan was very different and for a small town and possibly Staying with them and the whole plan was just... not as safe of an idea as it is now so I was really anxious at the time BUT I found out that NYC is actually not?? That expensive to go to during the offseason?? And it's close to where my dad lives so I can go visit him after so it works out perfectly:D

tbh just Being In Character. That's what I get the most compliments on. also grammar and spelling, that kind of thing.

I skip over description and setting scenes as much as I possibly can, and it's not necessarily that I Can't as much as I Don't Care To... I get away with it because it's fanfiction but I'd like to... start trying a bit harder at it

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I guess if I had reason to? If it fit with the flow/plot of the fic, there was good reason to do it, and it was in one of the only two other languages I speak... I don't see there being a reason for that in this fandom though lol

whats your main/favorite weapon ? The Nautilus 47! I hope we get a new kit, because Point Sensor is NOT it.

what weapon class do you play ? Not actually Splatlings lmao, Naut is special to me because of its charge hold. The other classes I like are Wipers, Dualies and some Shooters!

do you dress for gear abilities or style ? Both!! I worked very hard on grinding viable abilities onto my favourite fit haha

favorite ranked mode ? This is difficult. Clam Blitz has gotten kind of fun, even in soloq which is crazy! Rainmaker is also pretty neat.

favorite hero mode ? Obviously RotM. It might be a little too by-the-book of Octo Expansion (which isn't a hero mode), but it's still the best by quite a bit.

any buffs/nerfs you think are needed ? Splash's pinpoint accuracy. It's kinda screwed up the meta 😅. Not sure if it counts as a buff/nerf, but the stages HAVE to be improved. No more corridors! More flanks! More cover! More dynamic terrain! It would solve the issue with chargers without nerfing them and make the game 100x more fun.

have you read coroika aka the splatoon manga ? Yes! I haven't read the latest Splatoon 3 installment, but I'll get to it soon! Coroika fans hmu ;)

rank the splatoon games + oe best to worst Not sure how to compare an entire Splatoon game with just the Octo Expansion, but I went in terms of ✨general experience ✨: 1. Splatoon 3 - Current pinnacle of the franchise. Can't wait for Side Order, if it tops OE then it'll be the true best Splatoon game! 2. Octo Expansion - Best single player experience. Off the Hook are AMAZING. 3. Splatoon 2 - Without OE, this is still a solid game that I enjoyed a lot :) 3 definitely improves on it, though, in small ways and big ways. 4. Splatoon 1 - I haven't played it, so I'm not saying it's the worst, this is just for me. Obviously set up the foundation of an awesome series!

ahh there’s so many things i can say so if you want to come back for more tips anytime, just hmu but hmmm to start,, i’d say making a navigation post is rlly helpful to just store all your important content you want ppl to easily find such as an about me or carrd, a masterlist, rules, etc. and then also making all those posts as well so you can include them as links in your navigation. you can always look at my navi (my pinned post) or other blogs that you like for inspiration <3 mine is pretty basic and not v special tho, i suggest going to others for inspo T-T hahhahsj

in terms of banners, you can use any photo editing app to make them if you want to add text and stuff to your banner. i tend to just stay simple cuz i’m lazy skdjdj and go for the classic three picture moodboard type thing haha ,,,, oooh and then you can have your header picture, and stuff in your bio as well. again, i’d suggest looking around at different blogs to find inspiration and gather things you like about each to come up w ideas for yours and come up w your own aesthetic :>

this might already be a lot, so you don’t have to bother with this one if you don’t want to, but i made a survey (a little over a year ago now apparently?? a little outdated now then ig T-T sjsjsj) for our fellow engene readers to give input to writers on things they like. if you want to take a look at those results, it might help in the,, success?? of your blog? idk if i wanna call it that, but yk what i mean 😭

my december was pretty good, the first half i was doing finals which were. rough. and have kinda killed my creativity since but i bet ill recover soon, yknow. ive been home for a few weeks which has been fun tho, i hung out with my qpp today which was rlly fun. my parents have been so overjoyed to have me home even tho theres been some weird family dynamics rn since some stuff has been happening w my brother. dad n i saw babylon on one of his days off, which was fun, thats an insane movie lol.. we’ve also watched pretty much all of flight of the conchords in like 2 days, so lotsa good entertainment, but mostly ive been sleeping a lot.

Books:

Fatal Fidelity Series (Love Kills Twice and Love Bleeds Deep) - Probably some of my favorite books right now! The third book is coming out soon and I'm SO SO excited about it. It's about this NB assassin who falls in love with one of their clients and honestly the writing is just so damn good. Pulls you in and doesn't let go until you've finished all there is to read

Bloodlines Series (Spin-off series of Vampire Academy, the first book is called Bloodlines) - Honestly I always liked this series more than the OG for several reasons. But one of those reasons is that this is a "forbidden love" romance between a human who knows of and is disgusted by vampires.... and a vampire who everyone sees as lazy and lacking in any redeeming qualities. Somehow they bring out the best in one another in every single book and they fall in love and they learn magic and topple evil organizations and all that sexy shit <3

They Both Die at the End - A story that just like. Really urges to you get out and live your life. Not in a bad way, though, really. I mean that's the whole point of the story it tells. I read it very recently but it struck such a chord with me, I don't think I'll ever get it out of my head. It ends sadly, as the title suggests, but the story leading up to it was so beautiful and well-crafted

Honorable mentions (aka other books i've read recently that i'm obsessed with): You've Reached Sam, She Gets the Girl, What If It's Us (and the sequel: Here's To Us), the Gregor the Overlander series, Daughter of Sparta, and honestly so many others but i'm spacing on the names rn so if you'd like hmu for more when i'm back in nebraska

Movies:

Kimi No Na Wa - Also called Your Name, this is THE best movie i will ever watch, it's been my favorite since I first watched it and I'm forever in love with and obsessed with it <3

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - One of my favorite movies tbh, the main character is so awkward but very real. The little reveal at the end of the film always makes me really happy. Plus there's a moment where a pretty lady sings Space Oddity and I always skip straight to watching that scene first lmao

The Kung Fu Panda trilogy - One of the BEST movie trilogies ever no lie. amazing characters AND character development across three films. Very fun times. Some sad times. Lots of humor and also Tigress is pretty

TV Shows:

Miraculous Ladybug - I mean. I have to rec it. Always. Season 5 is about to start airing and the stakes are higher than ever and it's so EXCITING i can't wait <3 superheroes, identity shenanigans, consequences relating to superhero secrets, angst, romance, friendship and more!!!!!! so good.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts - ONE OF MY FAVE SHOWS!!!!! The animation is so damn cool and it's got some of my favorite protagonists ever. The character arcs are masterfully crafted. There's giant animals and found family and family reunions and tragic backstories that are conquered through choosing to love anyways. 100/10

Amphibia - The other show I'm super obsessed with right now even though I only watched it 2 weeks ago. BETRAYALS! FOUND FAMILY! FRIENDSHIP! Forgiveness and love and traversing worlds and also FROGS, NEWTS, AND TOADS!!! Sword fights! Prophecies! SPRANNE AGAINST THE WORLD! (you'll get it if you watch it)

MITSURU MY LITTLE SQUISHY !!!!! fun fact when i started this blog i initially didnt have him on the muse list even though i had him as my icon mostly because i was too scared to rp him... but honestly i love playing him, he's so fun and he has a lot of love stored in him!!!

ohhh.. midori takamine... the only thing stopping me is that i dont have a good grip on his characterization and i don't want to mess up or be criticized for it ;;; so i simply dont but if we're talking muses other than enstars. definitely madoka kaname OR mami tomoe! i would love to play them one day, im just. shy. also again, characterization issues w/ me ;__;

I LOVE FAMILIAL RELATIONSHIPS SO MUCH !!!! please i want ppl to adopt my characters so bad, i love found family i love anything family its just soooo !!! it makes me so happy ;; platonic is also very cute <333 and don't get me started w/ romantic! i do want to ship mitsuru with some characters but nobody plays the characters i ship him with </3 (sora, tsukasa, tomoya, hajime rpers come here pspsps)
