My first takes on a modern au / human phos

You're probably getting bombarded with asks right now so sorry to add to the clutter - but I am a huge rock nerd - that goes beyond like Steven Universe and Houseki no Kuni. So I just want to share some stones and stuff that have cool properties and maybe could provide some inspiration (mainly tho so I can list off rock facts)

Mercury: Mohs 3.5, Toughness: Brittle - Malleable. Technically Mercury is always found in it's liquid form unless amalgamated with other elements, etc. But Mercury actually can be solidified, creating a "rock" with a 3.5 Mohs scale. What's interesting about this is that this solid Mercury produces an awful echo-screeching sound when bent. Idk how this would apply for a SU One Piece Character, but having the abilities to liquify, solidify, as well as being a very heavy metal which corrodes or amalgamates with many other rocks, a character like this would be a difficult opponent, or a powerful ally.

Calsilica: This ones funny because it's not a natural gem, and has an extensive history of people trying to claim that it is. Rather, Calsilica can be made from the run off byproducts in plastic, epoxy, wax, etc, condensed so hard it becomes a rock. I've had character ideas of this kind being a gem who either feels like they're lesser for being man-made, or even having imposter syndrome.

Painite: Mohs 7.5-8, tough. An incredibly rare, red-orange gem, which though is a lesser "hardness" then diamond, could easily break or shatter one.

That's another interesting thing about diamonds that was less included in the show, but they are very brittle - while sapphires, rubies, jade may be of a lesser Mohs scale, they could easily crush a diamond. Especially Jade. Jade may be one of the toughest, naturally occurring gemstones out there (hence why there are so many carvings made out of it) and can even be stronger than steal, also with no known cleavage point (point where the gemstone easily fractures most) it's a kind durable to both blunt and pin-point force.

Rutile: Rutile itself can be pretty thin and weak, but they usually occur inside of other gemstones, as needle-like fractals and growths. Their possibilities are endless and they're gorgeous. Hundreds of gem kinds can be "rutilated".

Carbyne: The. Strongest. Material. Known to man. Taking Graphenes place. I have OC's made of this, but the possibilities for character development are endless. Because, technically, only a 100 atoms of carbyne exist. They have to be contained by a graphene tube in order to stay in existence. These could be extremely powerful characters, but say their outer coating of graphene is gone? They'll vaporize. Carbyne, Graphene, and Buckminsterfullerene are all in the carbon family along with diamonds, and so modern experimentation has led to their creations, and thus, gemstones both harder and tougher than any diamond.

Though, having said all that stuff about diamonds, there is one kind that is incredibly difficult to shatter and that is Bort or Bortz. It's technically a term for any diamond that isn't jewel-grade, or natural diamond, used for cutting tools and abrasives, but as a gemstone, it would be the top tier of diamonds. Their crystal structure is smaller than a normal diamond and so blows or damage are spread out evenly through the material, rather than a regular diamond which will often take force over one point of cleavage and completely shatter.

Ok I will be quiet now I've literally been typing this for more than an hour - I just love gem Au's and your designs especially. Idk if you've heard of Houseki no Kuni but it's basically a manga/show where the characters are completely made out of the gemstones, unlike being manifestations of light in Steven Universe. I'm working on a fic/head canon au of HNK One Piece characters (once again because I'm a rock nerd)

  001   This is an independent roleplay blog for the character of Jagi from the manga / anime / game, Fist of the North Star aka Hokuto No Ken. Obviously, this character doesn't belong to me. The character of Jagi is a mean, villainous character and his backstory has a good amount of triggering content. Please keep this in mind when interacting. This blog is 18+ (adults only) and low activity.

  002   Triggering content that you can expect to see frequently on this blog will be violence, murder, aggression, blood and general fighting / battle themes. Sexual content will be present, as will consensual-rough sex. Explicitly dark themes such as rape / sexual violence / dubcon etc, will be alluded to in terms of backstory but not necessarily written. Everything will be tagged. Example is - 'tw.triggerhere'. I, myself, have no triggers.

  003   Mun's name is Han, you may know me from such blogs as 'cwarscars' (a badly written attempt at a military general in a fantasy world) and 'mencnfire' (a multimuse attempt at some veteran type characters who all have issues). Are you noticing a theme? Lol. I'm 29, work full time and like to do all sorts of stuff so I wont be super active. I'm pretty friendly and very chilled out, discord is available on the carrd - just tell me who you are if you add me please.

  004   This blog is low activity; primarily because I work full-time hours and have other stuff going on outside of the online world. Generally, I like to restrict myself from being online too much. It's never anything personal if I'm not online, don't reply to a message or favour one thread over another. I just have limited time to work with and am terrible at messages. I do like communication, but I also appreciate realism, understanding and patience. I give exactly what I expect of partners. Be laid-back and just have fun!

  005   Generally, I prefer longer threads and planned threads. I will do the odd starter or random thread about random thing, but I love a good, juicy, well-thought-out thing. If we're going to plot, I love to have a beginning, middle and end. They are my favourite kinds of threads to write. I don't like too much exposition and prefer a slow burn when it comes to all manner of relationships etc. I can't be bothered to use icons and fancy formatting gives me migraines, so I'll just stick to standard small text.

  006   In terms of character / shipping. I base my Jagi's backstory off of his story in Jagi Gaiden. If you're not a fan of HNK / barely know it, don't worry - Jagi has a tonne of verses I have thrown him into and I am more than open to writing a new verse to base around our muses! Regarding shipping - I am open to it! But keep in mind that Jagi is a sociopath and a dangerous murderer. As you can imagine, I'm willing to write most kinds of ships, be they romantic, dark, family, dark-romance etc. However, Jagi will not sexually assault or rape your muse. I've got ten years+ of writing villains under my belt and people trying to force that on you is never enjoyable.

  007   Please don't block-evade, hound me for replies, do any creepy shit like stalk my blog / discord, talk shit etc. This is a weird, slightly vague rule but I'm just not down for the high-school side of the RPC nor am I down for the weird things such as block-evading and the like. Please don't pretend to be someone you're not to me (as in, literally pretend to be another person), it's very unsettling behaviour.

  008   I have approximately minus interest in getting involved in any slapfights between pro-ship & anti-ship content. I believe in freedom of expression and am anti-censorship, but I also believe that people are allowed to be unsettled / turned-off by certain content. Generally, I'm open-minded but also do my best to be respectful. As said previously, stuff is tagged, dark content will be written, but I also have limits and I respect others' limits, too.

Fateverse or other modern magical verses. Emiya is a hitman for hire, used among multiple organizations in the criminal underworld for protection. Not a great or practiced mage, but a very good killer.

verse : ambrose light [NAVY]

historical navy AU. Emiya is a gunslinger who works as a freelance bounty hunter, dangerous to pirates and navy sailors alike, but too valuable to both to kill.

verse : neither human nor shadow [FANTASY]

Emiya is a wandering semi-human, sold his soul to the God of War in exchange for the ability to fight and defend what needs to be fought. It ends in him wandering from place to place, monster-hunting.

synopsis: giving and taking baths is a great way to bond...atleast it's SUPPOSED to be. maybe for everyone except a small dog and an overly strict bortz

"GET BACK HERE DAMNIT!" echoed around the apartment complex as the sound of things bumping and crashing occurred in one of the rooms.

inside the noisy room bortz panted, kneeling slightly catching their breath. looking over they could see a wet sopping mass trying to blend into the white fluffy rug. with no hesitation they lunged towards it, grabbing it tightly as they laid on the floor.

the small mass of fur started it's attempt to escape. "oh, NO you don't!" bortz exclaimed as they grabbed it tighter and brought it to them, getting up. the wet dog attempted to fight back by kicking all four of it's stubby legs, getting bortz black turtleneck wet.

"dia says you NEED to take a bath, and so HELP me your getting one." they stated firmly, walking back to the bathroom.

the request though was a bit confusing for them, as diamond seemed perfectly fine at first with the groomer doing all that. they did mention something about how bathing the dog beforehand would be good for the groomer...somehow. of course though, bortz knew there was a hidden motive behind this.

ever since their dojo sensei's dog shiro had a litter they've all gotten one of the pups, including bortz and diamond themselves. lately though bortz relationship with their dog, named shimi, was...well...not close so to say. mostly cause bortz was the stricter with the two regarding disciplining the new puppy whereas diamond was more the peacemaker, and a bit of a spoiler towards him.

not to mention bortz didn't really have the time to bond with shimi, what with being busy working and such, diamond was left mostly home alone with him, making them more closer and the dog seeming to take dia's side more.

once getting inside bortz put the pup down and closed the door shut and locked tight. quickly the dog attempted to get out before yapping at bortz. they raised a brow, "oh? you think your so brave huh?" they asked before picking it up and stretching their arms away from him. "how about now?"

the dog was silent before starting to yap again. "hey I don't wanna do this either but what do you do?" they grumbled as they put the dog back into the tub, now trying to make an escape again but not this time! bortz used their body to shield the dog from escaping as they started cleaning them again.

picking up one of the bottles they put it on shimi and started scrubbing it into them. something was off though, they were getting really bubbly. looking at the bottle they grimaced as they found it was the bubble bath bottle, not the usual dog hair one.

they looked back to shimi to find the dog was now all bubbly and they could only see shimi's one eye and tongue out. it was so... picking funny. they looked like a snowpup or something. bortz stifled a chuckle before their eyes widened.

"stay." they commanded. getting up slowly they hesitantly walked to the door while keeping their hand out to keep shimi from escaping. opening the door they kept an eye through the open bathroom doorway as they grabbed their phone from the couch and walked back in closing the door tight.

taking their seat infront of the tub botz looked through the phone. the camera on their phone clicked as they took shimi's picture and then moved to their messages, clicking on diamond's. linking the picture to their message they put:

"mistook one of the soaps, now we have a snow pup." with a snowman emoji and sent it. now that it was done they proceeded with washing the dog off and putting the actual hair shampoo in it. the phone dinged as bortz shook their hands to get rid of the wetness to pick it up and reply.

diamond's message had many happy, laughing and heart emojis before replying with "aaww so cute! teehee, he looks like a little cloud! so happy you two are getting along."

"yeah, 'getting along.' right after having to chase him around the living room for 10 minutes." bortz texted. "oh, btw, that explains any wet spots you may find once you get back home if I haven't already tried to dry them."

sending the message it didn't take too long before diamond replied "aw he probably just wanted to play or something. ah, thank you. i'll be home soon." and had put a glittery heart emoji after.

bortz looked back to shimi after reading the message. the dog still had it's tongue out looked back at them before jumping up onto their chest...it was so reminiscent of the first time they met. they sighed and patted the dog's head.

picking him out of the tub and drying him off bortz opened the door, seeing some of the minor damage of certain things turned over and the wet spots. ...goddamnit.

"I'm home." chimed diamond as they opened the door. the place seemed still in tact...well that's still good atleast. now to see if their two loves of their life were still alive. they turned to the couch and their eyes caught bortz and shimi napping, shimi laying on top of them.

diamond giggled lightly to themselves as they took a seat near bortz head, petting their soft hair. their plan was a success! they felt the other stir slightly and open their eyes, staring back up at dia.

dia smiled "have fun?"

"if by fun you mean exhaustion then yes. I had SO much fun. a barrel of fun."

diamond chuckled lightly. "well atleast it seems now you two are getting closer."

bort looked to the napping one eyed pup, breathing lightly with his tongue sticking out. "yeah...I guess, I can agree with that on some level."
