One of things I love about both of these stories is the different tones of Caine's Abstraction.

With both, the transformation was absolutely gut wrenching before, tonely, shifting.

In Abstracted Identity, the tone after Caine Abstracts is quiet and somber.

In Hollow Words (quite recently as of this post), it's loud and volatile.

Both are equally powerful in their own right. Kudos to both Knight and Spam!

This has actually sparked a new Caine-related headcanon for me. I'll type it out on a different post cuz this one is for praising two glorious Caine-centric fics.

Me and my friends unfortunately went too far with the whole "being violent to Jax in Hollow Words" thing while we got excited over Hollow Words. We thought we were just having fun until I discovered that it actually made Spam incredibly uncomfortable. And for that, me and @funnyguy788 would like to sincerely apologize for violating their boundaries. (Not helping matters is that Spam lost two pets in a row in the same week, so that ended up making matters worse I think.)

Respectfully, I must implore you to cease the anti-Jax violence altogether while I take accountability for this situation and start respecting Spam's boundaries more. This includes you, @huhwhuhhhh, aka Joeisuppose (I think that's your AO3 username, I'm not entirely sure).
