The house smells of flowers, the candles light up the room, and the man inside is suited up waiting for his partner to arrive. You hear keys rattle outside the door, you excitedly wait with anticipation, you stand in front of the door with flowers in hand. The door swings open.

“Ahhhh! Don’t look at me! I’m a mess!” With her hands covering her face and in her dance outfit, she runs to her room like a gremlin, a cute one. She immediately shuts the bedroom door as she gets in. She shouts, “I’ll be out in a second! Let me fix myself up!”

“Take your time, honey!” Not the start you expected for this evening, but given the quirks and dynamics of your relationship, it is one that is very fitting. Can’t complain though given that you ordered takeout. You can’t cook and God forbid, she can’t either.

It doesn’t take her long to get ready. As you were waiting for your food in the microwave, the bedroom door swings open. Out comes the woman of the hour in her stunning black dress, Hwang Yeji. You approach her. You kiss her hand as you greet her.

“Oh my, you didn’t have to do all this,” she blushes at your act of chivalry as she looks around the room.

“It’s our second anniversary. Of course, I want it to be special.” As you say that, you hear a loud ding from the kitchen. “Food’s ready!”

You lead her to the table and pull out her chair for her. As she is sitting, you get your food from the microwave but place it on a tray so it seems fancy.

With the tray in hand and your terrible French accent, you entice her. “For our dinner, mademoiselle.”

“Ooh.” She is impressed.

“We have…” You take the lid off. “...mint choco chicken.” You immediately see the disappointment on her face.

You lose the French accent. “I’m just kidding. We have chicken and salad, and mint choco ice cream later, which we can eat over there.” You point to the couch, where a blanket and some pillows are already set up.

“I would love that,” she replies excitedly.

You and Yeji enjoyed the night eating and talking, and ended the night sleeping cuddling on the couch after watching La La Land for the nth time together.

[XX - Judgment] ; How would they work in a long-distance relationship?

Vergil enjoys having plenty of independence, which is something he might like about long-distance relationships. He doesn’t mind having plenty of time to himself and doesn’t need to constantly be in close proximity to someone he cares for. Vergil can maintain a long-distance relationship for a while, especially if they have the plan to move closer to one another in the future. He would rather wait for someone who he truly connects with, and doesn’t want to just date people who are close to him physically. He spent most of his life by himself, what’s a few moments without his partner?

Nero isn’t really a fan of long distances, since he prefers something practical. He wants to be sure that he has found someone he can build a real future with, and long distance sometimes makes things challenging for anyone. If Nero assured enough that this person is committed to him and that they can eventually live together - he will be able to handle the distance much better. Show the man he can couunt on you. For homebuddy like Nero, it is important to have a relationship that is serious, and he dislikes simply living in the moment.

Dante isn’t really much for long distances either, since he is a very physical person. He would rather search for someone who is close by, so he doesn’t have to constantly make this connection through messages. Dante wants something that he can tangibly hold onto, and become frustrated with long-distance relationships are a while. He isn’t a fan of having to hold out for someone he can’t even see or touch. If you live somewhere he can travel often, he can bear with it, but Dante would probably never get together with someone from different country.

Starting to miss my tiny MNL home because this szn is a szn outside MNL really, really soon. Gah. Still have a lot of decluttering to do, but very excited to buy beef that's so fresh on weekends among other things like biking with the new breed in the hood.

Plus, common and uncommon sense paired with me laughing even when my default RBF usually doesn't give a fuck at all to all. GAH. No more TMI because we're a gentlewoman, after all. I guess, it's also time for me to go back to my training days that involve answering quiz books that focus on the basics of grammar and style. Here's a funny story. I'm checking some documents that I need to file for something important. I then chanced upon my papers in grad school. Of course, I chuckled and shook my head. Damn, girl! Those days inspire the delulu solulu me to give things another try. On top of that, I'll just have to tweak my perspective and see everything as a series of games to be won.

This time around though, these series of games are more than just winning, always. Let this be a reminder that not winning is not losing. Instead, not winning is a learning experience a la Mamba, baby! There goes a tiny shift in my fucked up worldview. Let's see how this social experiment pans out. Hmm...

My dad has been very specific in reminding me to eat and rest. LOL. This is so out of his usual, his character, honestly. But, yeah. Since he sees me on the prowl in the name of taxes and the life after taxes more and more, he's kind of concerned and proud. By proud, I mean, now he gets what my grind is all about after more than a decade of knitting his brows whenever he comes across stuff about what I do and what I try to do.

In fairness, in spite his attacks, now he's more subdued, caring even. And this is game-changing right before my very beady eyes. LOL. Kidding aside, I guess we're actually on track to heal together. Perhaps, here's how the universe is showing me and my dad that we can nurse each other's loss of our moms. LUH. Let's see! Or is it but another mood swing from both sides of the boxing ring?

Small Win: In the name of learning and unlearning life lessons, for the past weeks, I always say I NEED YOU, DAD. Of course, I feel like I'm choking and faking it. But, we don't spit. We swallow, so there you go. Got this from DOAC's podcast that talks about the loneliness that men have in this era. DUH. I talked about this in-depth previously, but, yeah. Let's rock and roll! Really digging people who are not searchable online. Oh, those rare and non-existent digital footprints are really making me curious. The fact that I can't "see" stories and frames is a breath of fresh air. I have to validate the root cause of the absence of such digital stats, though. Just so we're super sure, but, so far, all good. Approved. LUH.

Empathy do not just come out of the atmosphere. Instead, it comes from an immature five year old dear. That one who was too hard on herself for years. She draws and dreams and bear the dry tears.

She’ll crumple all the paper with genuine crooked line. But settle for the traced sketch she thought was fine. Shame for the little blameless girl that is always mine. She haven’t seen yet how she is supposed to shine.

It comes from an innocent twelve year old gal. That one was simple, rational, and just practical. But everyone summons her to what is patriarchal. ”No one likes what is not normal” said a fake pal.

They give her bad words to be written by her plume. Stories of bullies, hence, she’ll hid in the bathroom. ”Women should learn how to use the broom.” ”Women should someday marry a rich groom.”

It comes from a hopeful sixteen year old girl. That one was rare as a flawless white pearl. She tried to be everything but life is a whirl. Awarding comes and the winner was rich Earl.

I am proud of her despite the injustice. Fairness now comes by “it is what it is”. She cut out her judging past and never miss. She grew as a strong independent little miss.

It comes from a lost eighteen year old lady. She didn’t want a debut—an indenial baby. I hope adulthood treats her right and let her be. So she’ll never have to rely on self-therapy.

She craved friends as she used to have real three. The whole campus knows her by her legacy. But fate robbed her of the maybe of a parallel identity. No regrets, she’s now in what she prayed at UP.

It comes from a loving twenty year old homebuddy. She lives with her grandma and bakes, sings, and study. In those two years of isolation, guys forced her to be bloody. Not a victim, she just wants to own her story of a body.

And by twenty-two year old, she falls on the same trap. She was too trusting when she let boundaries overlap. Learned it the hard way but not a proud moment of clap. At least now, she knows not to settle with a half-full cup.

Empathy do not just come out of thin air. It comes from counting years of a life unfair. It comes from being treated as a spare, a scare. It comes from being an apple among the pears.

— library & café with seungmin : pretty obvious, we both love reading and coffee + it matches his style and vibe too. especially when we get to spend some time in the afternoon, enjoying the sunlight that peeks through the glass walls and windows.

— cat cafe and camping with lee know : i mean, he would be the happiest man in the world and be spending his time with cats, i love cats as well and i would love to go on a date with him in that kind of place. camping with lee know will be fun as well, be one with nature for just one night or two.

— the beach with chan : he loves the sea, and strolling by the seashore just hearing the waves crashing the sand is so damn peaceful. the man needs it after an exhausting day/week from work.

— art museums with hyunjin : we both acknowledge art really well and the man loves to draw and paint, he deserves to be in the place where he feels happy and where he could admire his fellow artists works. i don't really mind because i am in love with the concept as well and seeing him enjoying the things he loves, makes me happy.

— stay home with han & felix : hannie is a homebuddy, so am i, we could watch movies while eating our favorite food! felix would enjoy some time with you in the kitchen to bake cookies and other pastries, probably.

— shopping with i.n : spending money is therapeutic lmao, but knowing i.n loves shopping clothes and shoes, i could totally relate to him in that case. i bet we would enjoy our time together trying new clothes and other stuff we bought. one thing i'm broke, i spend too much on clothes :'<
