Everybody: what is your go-to perfume/cologne?
Noodle: currently its the Tom Ford Cherry smoke but it's very pricey so I usually go for anything cherry, which is pretty easy to find at your local drug store
Murdoc: Uhm any cheap cologne, I don't understand why they make stuff that only makes you smell good for a bit like 200 like noodles perfume
2D: I dunno, I had one that was a very nice smoke and peppermint combo then I lost it and forgot the name so now I just steal everyone else's or use random ones at the store
Murdoc: 2D also had a few Britney Spears perfumes that were in his closet that he claimed to never wear but I know he did
Russel: Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume, Tokyo Milk Honey & The Moon Perfume or lolita lempicka sweet , that's not all the favorites though

Hi um buying perfume on the internet is a hobby of mine, so you have any places you recommend? Thanks!!!
yeah definitely!! so for the longest time origins' ginger essence, skylar's fall cashmere, and tokyo milk's honey & the moon have been my go-to's just to like ..... ig give you a feel for the profiles i look for (basically: bright spicy scents, warm spicy scents, and/or woodier gourmands). even though honey & the moon is my go to i've tried other tokyo milk perfumes before and i definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't before!!! it looks like margot elena is having a pretty decent sale on a bunch of their fragrances rn.
i haven't used any other skylar perfumes before but fall cashmere lasts forever on me so i can at least personally recommend the formula!
i only really started looking at indie perfume brands in the past year & so far i've purchased from lunarlifeapothecary & lovesick witchery. i liked the scents i got from lunarlifeapothecary but the shop looks like it's pretty scaled back rn & none of those scents are still available to purchase lmao. but check them out if you want!! the packaging is cute & for roll-on perfume oils they've lasted pretty long on me. but obviously ymmv with that.
lovesick witchery is great though!!! you can choose which formula each scent comes in (perfume oil or EDP) & they have way more sizing options available than most other online indie perfume sellers i've seen. they really offer a ton of cool scents & have a masterlist of all of them + their profiles right here if you want to check that over and see if anything works for you. again, the formula really works for me but that's always something that depends on your own skin so while i recommend it you can always start w samples & see how you feel about them.
PLUS rachel from lovesick witchery makes custom scents, which i haven't tried before but that could be something fun to try if this is a hobby of yours!!

aaa i was so happy to see you so excited to talk about makeup!! tysm bc ive been v torn on lip glosses! sadly my skin hates the toofaced extreme bc it really is the absolute most effective! i actually tried on the lawless one in sephora and it was comfy, but im not crazy about the shades of pink and it wasnt v plumping? like i dont think i would've thought anything of it if it wasn't CALLED a plumping gloss. also i super recommend you check out kayali pistachio yum! it smells cotton candy and whipped creamy and lasts a really long time! noticeably sweet but also not overbearing! take care!!💖
Aww you’re sweet. Thank you
And yeah, the too faced extreme def isn’t as friendly but so does the best in my experience. And yeah, I’m not getting the hype of the lawless one. I like the color I got but it feels like a tinted chapstick. If it wasn’t a pretty tint imo I’d be returning it.
So to keep on w the sharing lots of info trend, if the strongest plumping ones weren’t working for me, I’d prolly focus more on the the feel of the gloss than I’d it’s plumping bc the week plumping ones don’t do much anyways in my experience at least. So I’d look for a gloss that makes my lips fill very pillowy and is on the thicker side. I already don’t remember what all I said in the previous ask, but the glossier and makeup by Mario ones I talked about are coming to mind. And then also start regurlarly exfoliating uour lips if you aren’t already.
And ohmygosh yes. I have a little version of the pistachio yum already. I didn’t even wait to the sale. I’ve been loving for spring (along side Ellis Brooklyn’s sci fi for spring ad well). If you like that kayali one, the closest I have in my collection to is a more affordable one, it has a similar powdery candy vibe that it has when I wear it. It’s honey and the moon by Tokyo milk, it feels sweeter and a little sharper. It smells like violet candies and vintage lipsticks to me. It’s lacking a lot of the gourmand notes but iits yummy and I think like available on Amazon usually and had a lower price point.

anime, book, and movie recommendations for everyone’s coronation
Hi, I thought that this would be a good time since everyone is off from school or quarantined I would make a list of some good books and anime and movies to help bide the time until everything is good again. also, I know animal crossing just came out so people will be playing that but I know some people can’t afford the game or even want to play it so.
movies: next-gen (Netflix film), birdbox(Netflix film), coco, love Simon, bohemian rhapsody, venom, spiderman-into the spider-verse, jack, and the cuckoo clock heart, spirited away, howl’s moving castle, Ponyo, summer wars, the girl who leaped through time, princess Mononoke, my neighbor Totoro, the secret world of Arrietty, kiki’s delivery service, Coraline, the nightmare before Christmas, corpse bride, sleepy hollow (live-action with Jhonny Depp), Frankenweenie, 9, James and the giant peach, Kubo and the two strings, paranorman, monster house, the how to train your dragon trilogy, Atlantis the lost empire, meet the Robinsons, chicken little, hardcore henry, the gallows, the mist, I am legend, chappie, the hunger games trilogy, hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, the village, heathers, Godzilla (2014), kong: skull island, 10 Cloverfield lane, hairspray, Jumanji, Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle, ghostbusters (2018 and the original movies), san andreas, astro boy, the road to el darodo (animeted movie), zathura, leap!, gaurdian brothers, the book of life, pom poko, the greatest showman, detective pikachu, Klaus (netflix film), preditor (2018 and the original), clover field, 10-cloverfield lane, shutter island, aladdin (live action), my hero academia: 2 heros, my hero academia: hero’s rising, promare, venom, the garden of words, akira, and battleship
those are only a handful of movies I have to recommend. some can be found on Netflix or Hulu but if anyone wants to know where to watch some of the others then send a message and let me know and I will help out. now from the anime. most of the anime I am recommending is mainstream but not all of them and most can be found on Netflix and Hulu. This is because I cannot afford other means to watch anime and the last time I watched anime on kiss anime my computer got a virus. also, a lot of the anime that I get recommended is mainstream. My cousin watches as well so I tend to watch with them a lot. I try and watch other anime as well but just because someone considers an anime mainstream doesn't mean it is bad.
anime: kill la kill, children of the whales, Durarara!!, sword art online (the Japanese version), Gurren Lagann, Jojo's bizarre adventure, haikyu!!, blue exorcist, full metal alchemist brotherhood, cells at work, death note, Ouran highschool host club, the disastrous life of Saiki k., one punch man, black butler, aggretsuko, neon genesis Evangelion, devilman crybaby, anohana, beastars, carol and Tuesday, rilakkuma and Kaoru (I know this isn’t anime), the devil is a part-timer, amagi brilliant park, black butler: book of circus, blue exorcist Kyoto saga, danganronpa: the animation, demon slayer, Durarara!!x2, fire force, future diary, high school of the dead, school live, love live, monster Musume, my hero academia, the promised neverland, sailor moon, sailor moon crystal, seraph of the end, terror in resonance, tiger and bunny, double decker Doug and Kirill, Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo magnitude 8.0, another, and yona of the dawn, robihachi
once again these are only a handful and most can be found on either hulu or netflix. now for the books, I will split the books into two categories. manga and novels. so here they are.
books: milk and honey by rupi khar, go ask Alice by anonymous, my neighbor Totoro by tagiro Kubo, will Grayson, Will Grayson by david leviathan and jhon green, jays journal by anonymous, letting ana go by anonymous, lucy in the sky by anonymous, red scarf girl by Ji-li Jiang, 13 reasons why by jay asher, the hunger games trilogy, everything, everything by Nicola Yoon, the sun and her flowers by rupi khar, the mist by Stephan king, stop pretending by Sonya sones, the princess saves herself in this one by Amanda Lovelace, the witch doesn’t burn in this one by Amanda Lovelace, life as we knew it by Susan peffer, Simon vs the Homosapien Agenda by Becky albertalli, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki marukami, carry on by Rainbow Rowell, howl’s moving castle by Diana Wynne Jones, October sky by homer hickem jr, the book of david by anonymous, paper towns by jhon green, me, earl, and the dying girl by Jesse Andrews, the help by Kathryn Stockett, stranger than fanfiction by chris colfer, bird box by josh malerman, a long way down by jason Reynolds, 1Q84 by haruki marukami, wayward son by rainbow rowell, good omens by terry pratchet and niel gaiman, breaking baily by anonomous, deep and dark and dangerous by mary downing Hahn, wait till helen comes by mary downing hahn, scary stories to tell in the dark the complete collection by alvin schwartz, and the hunger games trilogy by susan collins
manga: another by kakito and akani, 5 centemeters per-second by makoto shinkai and yukiko seike, orange by ichigo takano, doubt by yoshiki tonogai, limit by keika suenobou, tokyo undead by tsukasa saimura, the flowers of evil by shuzo oshimi, shiver by junji ito, fragments of horror by junji ito, tohyo game by g.o., chiro, and tatsushiko, junji ito’s cat diary: yon and mo bt junji ito, disilving classroom by junji ito, magical girl apocalypse by kentaro sato, gyo. by Junji ito, Uzumaki by Junji ito, Tomi by Junji ito, ibitsu by kazuto okada, Shibuya goldfish by Aoi hiroumi, orange future by Ichigo Takano, Frankenstein by Junji ito, smashed by Junji ito, the princess and the dressmaker by Jen wang (this is a graphic novel but this post is already really long so here it is), the bride was a boy by chii, the garden of words by Makoto Shinkai, strawberry panic by Sakurako kimino, go for it Nakamura by syundei, judge by tonogai Yoshiko, I hear the sunspot by Yuki fumino, I hear the sunspot theory of happiness by Yuki fumino, I married my parents just to shut my parents up by Kodama Naoko, I want to eat your pancreas by yoru sumino and idumi Kirihara, no longer human by Junji ito (original story by Osama dazai), and dark metro by Tokyo calen and yoshiken
these are all of my recommendations for a fun coronacation. also, please take all of the necessary safety and sanitary precautions and stay safe. while I do support a lot of things that normal Christians don’t I am one and am praying for everyone’s safety. even if you don’t believe in God that is ok. I respect your beliefs and you have every right to not believe. No matter what I am keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers. please stay safe and clean everyone.
p.s. keep the carona memes coming!

What Will We Eat in 2020? Something Toasted, Something Blue
Tumblr media
If you’re the sort of person who uses the annual avalanche of food and drink predictions as an anthropological window into the state of the American psyche, prepare for a stripped-down, no-nonsense 2020. Mold and sobriety will be popular. Porridges like jook and arroz caldo are the new comfort foods. Saving the planet will have a new urgency, so bring your own mug to the coffee shop and learn to embrace the term “plant-based.” “There is a sense that the rose-colored glasses are off,” said Andrew Freeman, president of AF&Co., the San Francisco consulting firm that for 12 years has published a food and hospitality trend report. This year’s is titled “We’re Not in Kansas Anymore.”“The world just feels different,” Mr. Freeman said. “The labor market is tight, the political landscape is a mess. All of us are trying to navigate it.”That doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun, though. If the forecasters can be believed, joy will be found in towers of buttered toast piled with ice cream, sourdough doughnuts, CBD-infused everything and even more fried chicken sandwiches. Here, then, is a sampling of what could be in store for 2020.
Country of the Year: Japan
That recent Instagram uptick in soufflé pancakes and the fish-shaped ice cream cones called taiyaki isn’t a coincidence. With the 2020 Summer Olympics set for Tokyo and a rise in travel to Japan, the country’s influence will extend into the American culinary landscape, said Amanda Topper, associate director of food service for Mintel, the global market research company. Trendspotters also predict more interest in food from India, with a special emphasis on spicy Keralan dishes built from rice, coconut and fish, as well as foods from West Africa, Vietnam and Laos.
Cause of the Year: The Planet
As farmers grapple with climate change and consumers grow increasingly concerned about the environmental impact of what they eat, restaurants and food producers are doubling down on earth-friendly ingredients and practices. Vegan dishes and meat alternatives will show up on more menus, both fine-dining and fast-food. Regenerative farmers, who focus on soil health, are the new organic farmers. Chefs are exploring how to cook cover crops like peas and buckwheat, which regenerative farmers plant between harvests as a way to improve soil, control weeds and sequester carbon. Look for more edible and biodegradable packaging, and reusable everything, from cups to cutlery. “The companies that will win in the next 10 years will be those that fuel the new era of conscious consumption,” said Jenny Zegler, the associate director of food and drink research for Mintel.
Color of the Year: Blue
The hue started catching the eye of tastemakers a few years ago, but this year blue and its moody sibling, indigo, are expected to color more food. Butterfly pea powder tea (the new matcha!) is showing up in moon milk, a sleep remedy that is the latest adaptation of ayurvedic tradition. Ube, a purple yam, is the new “It” root vegetable; orach, also called mountain spinach, could be the new kale. Pop culture seems to be driving this one: Pantone has declared classic blue its color of the year, and blue food plays an outsize role in the novels of Percy Jackson, whose musical “The Lightning Thief” is on Broadway.
Toasted
The latest star imported from Asian tea shops is brick toast, built from thick slices of pain de mie that are scored, buttered, toasted and covered in sweet custard, syrup or ice cream. Variations on the dish, sometimes called honey toast, abound in different parts of Asia. In Japan, where it is also called Shibuya toast after the Tokyo district where the style began, a substantial portion of a loaf is hollowed out and filled with squares of toasted bread, ice cream, syrup and fruit. The Taiwanese style is more subdued, topped with condensed milk, custard or cheese. A second cousin is kaya toast, popular in Singapore, made with a thick slab of salted butter and a jam of coconut and pandan leaves that is usually served with soft-boiled eggs.
Not Toasted
Low and no-alcohol drinks are in, but that doesn’t necessarily mean people want to face the next decade without a little help. Look for a rise in mood food and calming beverages awash in CBD or adaptogens, plants that may help relieve stress. “It’s not just a young person’s thing,” said Willa Zhen, a professor of liberal arts and food studies at the Culinary Institute of America. “I think we’re all anxious.”
Growing Up
This could be the year the children’s menu finally dies — or is at least radically re-engineered. Millennials, an unusually food-aware generation, are parents to more than half of the nation’s children. And as Americans opt for less processed food and more global flavors, chicken nuggets and mac and cheese may give ground to salmon fish sticks, agedashi pops and hemp pasta with ghee.
Generational Cooking
First-generation immigrants to America, and grandparents who live in other countries or have recently immigrated, will transform restaurant menus. This is part of a growing interest among chefs with mixed cultural backgrounds to create new dishes based on techniques and ingredients from both sides of the family.
Fresh Flours
Almond flour is so 2019. Look for alternative flours made from green bananas, sweet potatoes, cauliflower and watermelon seeds.
Tech Rescues
Artificial intelligence will flood restaurants, especially fast-food and quick-service operations, adjusting pricing in real time to accommodate fluctuations in supply and demand. Delivery apps and in-store menu boards will suggest foods in the same way Netflix recommends movies. Menu boards will use voice bots and face recognition software to customize and speed ordering. Unmanned rovers will bring you pizza; companies like Domino’s are testing them in Houston and some European cities, and robots are already bringing Dunkin’ doughnuts and Starbucks coffee to college students. Breakthroughs in food safety will result from better use of blockchain, a digital ledger that can track food as it works its way from the farm to the consumer.
And the Rest
Churros. Flavored ghee. Koji, the ancient mold responsible for miso and soy sauce. Cantonese pineapple buns. Makgeolli, the sparkling, fermented Korean rice liquor. Puffed snacks made from vegetable peels. Floral flavors. Halloumi cheese. Edible flowers and botanicals. Cane sugar alternatives. Food wrapped in bijao leaves. Ice cream with hidden vegetables (think mint chocolate chip with puréed spinach).Don’t be surprised if some of these fail to take hold. “The thing to remember is that it comes back to taste,” said Ms. Topper, of Mintel. “We can talk about various trends, but if it’s not something that first and foremost people want to consume, it won’t last.” Read the full article

Quote
Little Tokyo bar— ladies night, smoky gauze balcony, whispering. Tommy Becker, makes up words to “La Bamba”—request by Hard Jackson, mechanic on the left side of Paulie, oldies dancer, glowing with everything inside of her, shattered remembrances, healed in lavender nail polish, the jagged fingernail tapping. So play it hard above this floor, this velvet desert. I want the Titian ochre yeast of winter, keyboard man, fix your eyes on my eyes and tell me, handsome, how long will I live? How many double-fisted desires, crushed letters, will I lift in this terrain? And this rumbling sleeve, this ironed flint of inquisitions and imaginary executors, where shall I strike, what proud stones? Will this fauna open for me, ever, this fuzz, anointed beak inside the bartender’s mirrors, etched doves, a cautious spiral Harley tank, hissing, this Indian bead choker on Rita’s neck? How long shall we remain as wavy reflections, imitators of our own jacket’s frown? Who shall awaken first? Margo Fitzer, the waitress? I will say, Queen Margo, sing to me stoic princess of slavering hearts, three faint lines creased on your satin belly, toss our planet onto your umber lacquer tray, too empty now; make the earth spin its dog rhapsody, erotic through this silvery off-ramp and flake, unfurl. We tumble across this raceway in honey-glazed traces, our arms ahead, the hands flying to Ricky’s Ice Cream Parlour, outside. I want to own one someday, maybe on Thirty-Second Street. You will see me in my gelled waved hair, my busy wrists—so fast, a clown’s resolute gloves, dipping faster than finger painting—except    I’d be stirring milk and the chocolate foam of love, churning, burning this sweet spirit, more uncertain, than the celestial sheaths above the prairie frost. See the boy coming, they chide, leaning, how he crosses his legs, his eyes dreaming, sideburns just shaved clean. He weighs the sour slate on his father’s breath; perfume, fortune, cards left on the bleeding table. Milo Wilkens, drummer at the curve, strokes his nipples with his arms as he hits the high hat. Somewhere in the back rooms, I know, a shrine, orange sponge cushions, two toilets and a wire wound wicker box, to leave flowers, occasional offerings by the Johnson County dudes, detasselers in jersey ties. Talk no more, enjoy. Darling singer, let your starry blouse sway me, steal this fresh peach half from its amber juice; I want the moon in this nectar, too. The flashing cymbals, feverish. Who can strike a votive candle, love, or sleep in this electronic night? Just listen to the two-part harmony, laughter, peeling beyond the cemetery, beyond the Iowa river—where the spike hat rooster bristles his tiny ears, bows his head, and sips from the dark canister under the carved pearl-stone. And then, returns. Let us drink, salute the bright spokes of meal, the dying wands of river blossoms, grandmother’s sacred hair; listen, her soprano owl, her bluish melody, so thin. Another glass please, we shall dance once again, our eyebrows smearing against each other’s cheekbones, loud with a Midwest sweat, a cantata from the crosshatch amp, click it. Click it, for wild kind rain, forgiving seasons, for the blushed bread of our shoulders and thighs, this night, everyone is here. Even Jeff Yoder came all the way from Illinois, to fill a bucket with passion, ruffled, thick. O sax player with a jail needle tattoo, leap onto this wet pavement, call my lonesome tempest heart, its buried mother’s kiss, bless us in staccato, with quivers of oak branch greenness, and sparrow longings riff over this brutal sky, give us your bell filled, conjure your tropic, our lover’s breath. Blues bar dancers, jangling gold popcorn, chord makers, opal-eyed Suzie in a flannel shirt; we beckon the spark, the flaring this lost body to live. Botejyu Philippines Opens 14th Outlet in Greenbelt 3
Japan's pioneer Okonomiyaki and Okosoba specialty restaurant has just opened its 14th outlet in the country. Botejyu Philippines made its smashing debut in 2016 and has since expanded all over Metro Manila. The Hungry Kat was invited to the grand opening of its newest branch in Greenbelt last May 23, 2019 which also featured some of their new sushi and sashimi items on the menu.
You can find Botejyu at the third level of Greenbelt 3, just beside the cinema entrances. Botejyu was brought to the Philippines by Viva International Food & Restaurants which has also opened other notable franchiese such as Wing Zone, Pepi Cubano, Paper Moon, and more. It was just the first time for me to dine at Botejyu, and I was really impressed with their fine selection of authentic Japanese cuisine. The mouthwatering unagi sushi was really heavenly.
Botejyu was established in 1946 in the gourmet city of Tamade, Osaka by Eikichi Nishino. The restaurant name was coined from the rhythmic cooking sound of okonomiyaki. The first part of the name, "Bote" comes from the flipping sound of the okonomiyaki and the second part of the name, "Jyu", represents the sizzling sound as it cooks on the teppan grill. Botejyu is considered as Japan’s traveling restaurant as it continues to spread its original and traditional Japanese cuisine throughout the world for the past 70 years.
I can’t believe that this is just my first time to visit Botejyu, even though I have seen its numerous branches around the city. I have always wanted to try it, so I finally get my chance today during its grand opening.
The Greenbelt branch of Botejyu is a bit smaller compared to the other branches but it can seat around 40-50 guests. It has a bright and casual ambiance which is well suited for malls and every day dining.
Botejyu aims to promote the spread of local Japanese specialty gourmet food, offering authentic local cuisine from various regions throughout Japan like Osaka, Tokyo, Kagawa, Fukuoka, Hokkaido, and others. They hope to deliver authentic Japanese taste to as many people as possible by aggressively opening branches worldwide. They currently have outlets in Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand and in the Philippines.
Similar to other modern restaurants, Botejyu comes with an open kitchen where you can see your okonomiyaki or teppanyaki being grilled on the spot. What really surprised me was seeing how extensive their menu is. They have almost every Japanese dish you can imagine, from salads, sushi, takoyaki, teppanyaki, ramen, rice bowls, steak, curry, and a whole lot more. I was in a Japanese dreamland!
I started with some of their specialty Japanese drinks which include the Yuzu Honey Sour (P150), a Japanese Fruit Sour drink. Highballs and Shochu are also available. They also have fruit shakes like the Green Mango Shake (P130) and the Osaka Mixed Fruit Juice (P200), a popular local specialty in Osaka combining orange, banana, peach, apple, and pineapple with milk.
A true test of a Japanese restaurant is in its sushi, so I was excited to try their specialties. The Seattle Roll (P315) is one of the new and recommended items from their Sushi and Sashimi menu. It’s the perfect combination of avocado, cream cheese, salmon, lettuce and their original Botejyu mayonnaise.
Another colorful item is the Crispy Fried Prawn Mayo Roll (P320). This has crispy fried prawn wrapped inside a roll with lettuce and original Botejyu mayonnaise. I like the contrasting textures of the soft sushi roll and the crunchy prawn, brought all together with the sweet Japanese mayo.
My favorite sushi that afternoon was the Pressed Unagi Sushi (P995) which comes with this big plate of juicy unagi sushi. This is the biggest serving of unagi I have ever seen and while the price may be a bit high, you are getting your money’s worth with these sweet and delicious eel doused in unagi sauce. This is probably one of the best unagi dishes I have encountered in the metro and I will definitely be back for more of this.
Botejyu also has a lot of fresh sashimi options but it’s better to get the Special Assorted Sashimi 5 Kinds (P695) so you can try them all. This sashimi platter comes with tender slices of salmon, tuna, shrimp, scallops, and crab meat. Everything was fresh and superb. The sashimi platter also comes in 3 Kinds (P425).
For Botejyu first-timers like me, the All Star Takoyaki (P255) is a good way to experience their six different flavors of takoyaki. The Takoyaki is a Japanese snack made of wheat flour batter with bits of octopus and other spices that originated in Osaka.
The All Star Takoyaki has these savoury balls served with six different types of sauces including Sauce & Mayo, Tomato Sauce, Umami Sauce & Mayo, Salt Garlic Sauce, Spicy Tartar Sauce, and Thick Spicy Sauce. I prefer the original version simply with sauce and mayo, but the others are also quite interesting.
They also have a few buns like the Fried Chcken Bun (P125) and the Grilled BBQ Pork Bun (P125). These light snacks are also good for those on the go since you can easily take them out.
Yes, Botejyu also has ramen! The Pork Paitan Ramen (P425) is one of the local specialty paitan ramens from Japan. The secret to this flavorful soup is the thick pork broth cooked with the magical oil. You can also have it with extra charsiu (+P50) if you prefer.
You can’t go to a Japanese restaurant without having tempura, so the Prawn Tempura Platter (P340) is always a great order to have on the table. It comes with 5 pieces of crispy prawns fried in a special batter.
Botejyu also offers Japanese-Style Grilled Rice Dishes like the Garlic Fried Rice with Bacon and Egg (P195). This extravagant fried rice dish turned out to be the most surprising dish for me with its thick smoked bacon topped with a fried egg. It looks so simple but it really tastes good. It’s the best value-for-money item on the menu in my opinion.
For sweet endings, try any of their unique Japanese Desserts like the Teppan Baked Banana with Vanilla Ice Cream (P130). The banana slices are so soft and sweet, plus the Vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup gives it another level of happiness.
The Honey Toast with Brown Sugar and Creamy Kinako Syrup (P250) is a specialty of the house. It comes with a crispy toast topped with Vanilla Ice Cream and drizzled with sweet brown sugar syrup and a creamy soy bean powder.
You can also try their Japanese Parfaits like the Warabimochi with Vanilla Ice Cream Sundae (P150) which comes with crispy flakes and cream topping. The warabimochi is a chewy, jelly-like mochi which was created 120 years ago and made from authentic bracken powder. This gives Japanese diners a taste of nostalgia every time they have it.
I would like to thank Ms. Laine Vallar for hosting our small KTG group at Botejyu Greenbelt’s grand opening. Now that I know what I have been missing, I will definitely visit Botejyu again really soon to try the other sumptuous items on the menu. Congratulations to Viva International Food and more branches to come!
