But that is because most do not understand how to open a pomegranate. They have little patience for the precise carving. They see no point in coreing the fruit gently, no reason to be reverent as they pull the quarters apart. When done correctly, opening a pomegranate leaves little mess. These days Poldine gets to go out for a little walk every day at apéritif time, because she's a good llama who doesn't bother my guests (too much) (she does ask for baby carrots and kisses) and she always returns to her pasture without a fuss. It's become a nice little summer evening ritual.

thinking about the owl house in terms of disabled representation and like. god if they don't abuse Hunter's new access to "magic" we.. successfully have a show with REALLY good disabled representation ?

Eda's curse is a disability. she isn't preforming magic the same way everyone else does, like bard magic. feeling extreme emotions or not getting her medication can put her in danger, to herself and others. and she just lost an arm. she's afraid of forming connections because of her curse and how it effects others.

Hunter can't preform magic the ways others can. he had his staff, and then he had Flapjack. and now he has. Zoomies. i think that as long as he can't like, cast magic spells . he's still disabled! As far as I can remember- his powers aren't like how others are magic. we don't see other people zooming aruond in flashes of light, like that. he's not casting spells. His disability is still there, he just has a different form of aid!!! being able to go fricking super sonic i saw someone comparing Flapjack's death to "someone shooting my service dog, and i suddenly am cured of all disability because of how much i loved them" and !! thats not it !! its like breaking your wheelchair and getting a prosthetic !!! I UNDERSTAND that point. because like, yeah. that was his fucking therapy animal. i'd have preferred we kept Flapjack. but we didn't, and they're still handling it OKAY. Flapjack was akin to a mobility aid.

I’ve posted some panels or pieces of these but never the entire sequence on here I don’t think, so but this is one of the only substantial things I’d say I’ve kept in a vault.

I feel like compared to my newer stuff these look super rough, but they were really good practice.

These have pesterlogs that go with them but this post is already huge so eh. This was set to occur a couple hours after Caliborn’s masterpiece, so Roxy and Dirk are talking about Halquius’s heroic sacrifice/death. Davepeta and Dirk continue that line of conversation, while Roxy is pulled into an argument about self control as I bum everyone out by reminding them that Jasprose never actual stopped being an alcoholic.
