Shinjiro was a strong fighter and could easily take down the shadows. And yet, regret and fear tainted her mind. Being the mom friend of the group did not help her from being worried, too..

“...please don’t get hurt...” She murmured loud enough for them both to hear as she gulped and pushed herself from the ground and began to run away, as fast as she could. She turned around and could still see Shinjiro with his axe shining off the moonlight. Fuuka forced herself to stop--even if Shinjiro told her to run away, she wasn’t going to leave him all alone over her carelessness in not detecting the horde of weak shadows.
