There was an agreement and an announcement under Elizabeth II. They can't go on as if they respect her memory if they use the HRH. No leaks, no assumptions. It's a clear statement not allowing to use HRH in all terms not just for commercial purposes. I don't think BRF will do anything now, since today that is William and Catherine 's anniversary until the USA visit in August/September. We might get some royal sources but that's all.
Suxs surely playing with the fire. I don't know when exactly if it will be under Charles or William but they will lose it, both HRH and Princess titles, her and her children. They might thinking who this change affect cause it won't be just an announcement but a new letter pattern. Besides neither of them was born with this to say it's a birth right but even if they were born Sweden and Denmark showed that you can lose that too. Nothing happens to Queen's cousins. I don't know about Eugenie, Beatrice and Harry. If he loses it they lose it too but I can see all 3 of them not using it. Nevertheless I'm pretty sure they will still use it private and demand people to address them this way, as I'm more than certain they do it with their stuff, just like Wallis. The timing of the change has to do with Charles health. He still gets therapy but if he ends it soon and be in remission like Catherine, then it happens. But if things aren't good for him and he knows it nothing will happen. Unless if he wants to take this from William but if he does it, it will a bit before ....yk. Nevertheless I don't think it will be bad for William's inage to be seen as the one protecting the monarchy from grifters.
Lastly, once again it's evident how much this woman hates and envies Catherine. It's clear she calculated the dates of her podcast to be on W&C anniversary and coronation anniversary and from all the episodes she has she chose this Tuesday as the one to do the interview. Well her podcast flops and she needed something. It's definitely not the first time she has signed as HRH but she want it to be on the news again. She did the same with Archetypes, after 2-3 episodes there wasn't any interest and she "stop" out of respect for Queen 🙄 the same Queen she had blackmailed few days before. For me the more this woman speaks the more she shows her true self and why nobody likes her.
I think you might need to double check your sources because there is no US visit planned for 2025. The US visit will be in 2026 as part of our semisesquincentennial/250th birthday.
Also there are ways to take Harry’s titles without affecting Beatrice and Eugenie. It depends on how the order is written. For instance, if the order specifies Harry by name, then the Yorkies keep theirs. If the order requires permanent residency (not domicile, but physical residency) in the UK to use the titles, then Harry and Eugenie lose it but Beatrice gets to keep it. If the order says “male children” or some variation of sex-based language like that, then Harry loses it but Beatrice and Eugenie keep theirs. So it can be done - I know you’re thinking about how Fergie lost her HRH when Diana gave hers back, but that’s not the same thing that’s happening here.
And BTW, Louise and James are also HRH Princess/Prince too. They just don’t use it but it is theirs pursuant to the 1917 LP because they were once grandchildren of the reigning monarch.
The legal precedent is set by the Titles Deprivation Act of 1917, which revoked specific British peerage and titles from specific people/families for their support of Germany during WW1.

This quote from FvF Director James Mangold can be added to the one you posted:
“Whatever had been said to me before I met Caitríona — ‘She’s in this hot TV show, huge following, former model’ — this is often the kind of thing that turns me off. But what I was confronted with was a simply remarkable actress—present, fearless, emotionally vulnerable, and smart.” - James Mangold, Director FvF
Thanks for the message, Anon. 😃 Your Mangold quote is from Vanity Fair and follows Brian’s recent post with video of Jamie Dornan’s and Orlando Bloom’s, and a tweet screenshot of Mangold’s, talking about working with Caitríona.

James Mangold and Caitríona Balfe attend the Le Mans ‘66 /Ford v Ferrari premiere at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival at Roy Thomson Hall on 9 September 2019 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Thanks for your message, Anon. 😃
What do I think “based on reviews in everything she's done in and outside Outlander?” 😂 How To Attract Unwanted Attention Without Really Trying…
I think Caitríona will be just fine, regardless of her age (45 in October) and Outlander’s ending (filming in the next few weeks, Season 8 promotion sometime before 2030…).
It’s nice to step into the unknown and see what the possibilities might be. — Caitriona Balfe, 6 September 2024
Video 📹 from Twitter
I’d argue if every other role is typecasting, every other role is something different. 😉
Let’s look at her work released since Outlander premiered in August 2014, supportive wife/mother wise:
2015 The Price of Desire ❌
2016 Money Monster ❌
2019 Le Mans ‘66/Ford v Ferrari ✔️
2019 The Dark Crystal: The Age of Resistance ❌
2019 The Christmas Letter ❌/✔️
2020 Angela’s Christmas Wish ✔️
2021 Belfast ✔️
2024 The Cut ✔️/❌
2025 The Amateur TBA*
*Will she play the murdered wife? An American CIA agent or diplomat? A foreign agent or assassin? The Amateur’s version of Mrs Kravitz? 🤷🏻♂️ What we do know is she had her own dialect coach who is “passionate about coaching accents,” and, according to someone who attended the film’s screening in Pasadena last month, “(Caitríona’s) talent and range is bigger than anything we’ve seen.”
Does she have something bigger than small parts lined up?
As you mentioned, she typically doesn’t talk about, much less name, a project until it’s announced officially. 🍿🍿🍿
I think she’ll be offered roles, big and small, and do only what appeals to her and suits her family’s** lifestyle. She still owns the rights to Here Is The Beehive and now has some experience directing. She’ll never be bored, between time spent enjoying her family** and her interest in travel, art, music, film, fashion, literature, sports, and people.
**her actual family
You didn’t ask, but I’ll offer my humble opinion, just the same. I don’t think they’ll move abroad, regardless of her having lived for several years in New York and Los Angeles. Her and Tony’s parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews all live in Ireland and the UK. As she and Tony have done for years, I see their staying abroad for long periods during filming, but not setting up a permanent residence. I think they’ll continue to make their home and raise their son in Ireland/UK… JMHO.

The UK government has put in place an emergency ban of puberty blockers to any person under the age of 18 while under the conservative government. A recent statement by the new Labour Secretary of Health Wes Streeting indicates transphobic intentions and views; regretting saying that "trans women are women" and has displayed intent to extend the current emergency ban of puberty blockers to minors past September 3rd 2024, and enforce the ban permanently.
People under the age of 18 cannot legally receive puberty blockers under private healthcare services and if they want to receive puberty blockers from public healthcare (the NHS) they will need to do so in a clinical trial environment. The NHS notoriously takes a VERY long time to get things done due to understaffing and underpaid workers, meaning that almost all trans minors are going to be unable to access puberty blockers for extended periods of time, and they will do so under clinical conditions and nowhere else.
This is an attempt to eradicate trans youth.
A recent post on presidential candidate and convicted felon Donald Trump's website explains how he will, on Day One of being re-elected for president 2024:
- Ban all forms of HRT for any and all ages in the USA
- Pass a law allowing all "victims of child sexual mutilation" to sue doctors who have provided gender affirming care to trans people.
- Push an act of congress to make sure the only legally recognised genders in every state of the United States of America are male and female, and these are to be assigned at birth.
This is an attempt to eradicate trans people en masse.
This is an attempt to eradicate trans people from the US population entirely.
This is an attempt to make America as it was years ago before trans people were allowed to live publicly and freely.
I cannot imagine what the entire trans population of the US is feeling at these statements, especially under the conditions that Biden is running for president under. Biden is unfit for a state position, and should not be allowed to run for president. Biden is not likely to be elected president at all, as the recent presidential debates showed his mental decline and removed faith from the Liberal party he is the face of.
I urge almost all people who are trans to try and find safety in countries outside of the UK and US respectively, as both countries' governments have shown time and time again who they stand for and what agendas they will try and act upon - regardless of political alignment and personal politics. They will do what they can for power and for control, regardless of the toll it takes on the people of the countries they seek to "protect."
The changes the UK are making are devastating to not only trans youths, but to young people experiencing symptoms of early onset puberty that puts their health at risk. This does not just damage trans people, but others as well.
The changes Trump seeks to enforce in the US will cause countless deaths of trans people on a nationwide scale. These changes are catastrophic, and the effect that they would have upon the entire trans population of America would be devastating.
Please. Do everything that you can to stop this attack on our lives, our happiness, and our community. Do everything you can to prevent the trans healthcare crises that both the UK and US are imminently facing, because the changes will take years to revert and will have lasting effects on our rights and health for years to come.
Send letters and emails to your local representatives and any relevant government authorities, residents of the USA if you are legally allowed to, please do not stay quiet or neutral on this. If you are of the legal age to when the presidential election comes around; VOTE. Vote for anybody but Trump, ensure that you vote against Trump to save lives. DO NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP.
I hate that this is happening anywhere but two of the largest countries in the world with some of the most diverse populations of trans people are regressing at a rapid rate. Save trans lives and do your part, because this is the start of an attempt to eradicate us from the world, starting from the young people of our communities in the UK, and aiming to remove any hope of basic gender affirming care in the US.
Trust me when I say, this will not end here if these laws are allowed to pass through in any capacity. After they take away any hope for gender affirming care in the USA, they will begin criminalising trans lives entirely. If the UK is allowed to ban puberty blockers to "save childrens' lives" we will follow the US swiftly, and our lives will be in jeopardy just as the trans community of America's is right now.
Do not stay apolitical, do not let them kill us, do not give up.
I send love and appreciation to all trans people, and I believe that we can get through with this. We cannot give up and let them remove us from the world. Trans Lives Matter.

i'm sorry to bother you-- and you must be getting so much stupid bullshit from the piss on the poor website re: s'mores, but: how did you manage to move to the uk?
No worries you're totally good, it's mostly been reblogs/tags but just in case I wanted to head it off because I know how Tumblr is. I have kind of a long answer for you addressing both the logistics (immigration and practicality) and the personal reasons/experience side, because I love talking about this, so I'll drop it under a read more.
The immigration logistics
I originally came over for university on a student visa in 2017, and when I finished my degree I got a graduate visa which is essentially a two-year grace period to figure out whether you want to continue living in the UK and get either a work visa or an alternative visa. I got married in that two year period, so I am currently on a family/partner visa. After I spend 5 years on a family visa I am allowed to apply for permanent residency and, if I choose, for citizenship. It's a lot of visas! There are a number of fees and other requirements, both for the visa application and the immigration health surcharge, depending on the type of visa you're going for.
Why I actually ended up moving to the UK
We originally came here on vacation when I was 14 and I absolutely fell in love with Scotland. I loved Edinburgh, I adored Scotland in general, so I was very happy to find out that I could go to university here and I basically just went "right okay this is what I'm doing" and pushed for it. I am obviously very lucky in that I had a supporting family with the means to give me the chance to actually do it, but what surprised me most was the fact that the fees for international students for university were actually lower to go to university across the pond (on average it's ~£18k GBP/$25k USD a year, for transparency) than they were to go to some of the American universities I applied to (including University of California Davis, Colorado State University, and Princeton).
(Just as an aside, the University of Aberdeen offers fully online courses including at the post-graduate level, both short/individual classes and entire degrees, regardless of your actual location for one universal fee rate, if you're into that. One of my current coursemates is in Dubai, and another is in Hong Kong!)
Experience living in the UK
I no longer live in the city proper because unfortunately Edinburgh has become London levels of expensive without the corresponding pay rise, but I still love Scotland and I've always felt welcomed by the people here. Obviously I do get the occasional comment, and I had to get used to being called a Yank because that's just a general word for all Americans (nevermind the fact that the only person in my family who could be properly qualified as a Yankee according to American traditional definitions is my mom, who is actually from New York), but for the most part people are kind and understanding and the Scots are some of the funniest and most generous people that you will ever meet.
One of the other big motivators for me in moving to Scotland specifically was its LGBTQ+ rights laws. Despite a great deal of political transphobia coming out of Westminster, Scotland is actually one of the safest places to be LGBTQ+, and I don't think I've ever really had a point living here where I have genuinely feared for my safety because of my queerness/transness the way I have in certain parts of the US. I have the privilege of safety at work enough to be out and wear my pronoun badge on my uniform, and it has actually led to some really positive interactions with customers.
I had a slight advantage with regards to accent adjustment because I did my degree in linguistics and grew up watching a number of different Scottish comedians, although that doesn't stop me from occasionally being absolutely baffled by some of the thicker regional accents (Dundee and Ayrshire in particular), but the same is true of particularly strong American regional accents. It does actually make it quite funny when I have people asking me basically daily at my job "where are you from? what part of America?" and then saying "oh I've been to/I have friends from [completely other part of America]" but I think that's just to be expected when you move to a new place, and it's always a delight when people are familiar enough with American geography to actually know where I'm talking about and very occasionally I meet people who have been to my state and are familiar with my hometown, which is really cool.
This is probably way more information than you were looking for but I hope it was at least interesting!
#am i insufficiently kinglike?#kain's unprofessional advice#wasn't sure if you just wanted the logistics answer or the reasoning behind moving and the adjustment process/experience so you got both#not a bother at all this is quite lovely actually

This is getting a little bit too parasocial now...... I mean, not you, that anon. What Sophie and her ex husband agreed on is literally none of our business and i'm pretty sure she would be mortified reading that ask. At the end of the day, they are both celebrities with careers that involve spending time in other countries. The children being home schooled is not the worst thing in the world. Sophie herself is not going to only be able to work in the UK, and if the girls happen to be with her during the time she is shooting something, they would not be able to attend a school in London anyway. Just look at how long the shoot for Haven is, or how long Joan took, if she shot it anywhere outside London it would be the same situation like when her ex is on tour. Like i'm sorry, but for the girls to be able to attend a normal school fulltime the parents would have to sacrifice in their career (she would have to only be in uk productions, he would need to not tour or not to have the kids with him while touring) and this would also require him to move to the UK full time so the girls don't switch between the countries all the time (which also makes going to a normal school impossible). So homeschooling looks like the best compromise... But i digress. This was their decision and they made it however they saw best. I'm sure Sophie would rather we start talking about something else, like Haven is finishing soon and i'm very curious to find out if she films The Dreadful next or Cloud One 👀 And if she will go see Kit's play!!! John Bradley went 👀 👀 Also because of her new LV campaign i'm 99% sure she will attend the fashion show on October 1 so at least we will see her beautiful face again ❤️
UK was the permanent residence during the temporary custody agreement that expired on January:
Willa was attending a nursery in London during late February 2024, that is to say, after the temporary custody agreement expired on January:
On September 2024, the parents reached a permanent custody agreement, which is confidential, and were declared divorced and single again.
From these facts, it is most likely that they have confirmed the UK as the girls permanent residence, so they will be educated there, as was always Sophie's wish.
#anon asks#sophie turner#many parents travel for work all the time & kids normally attend their school every day regardless . . . .

News of the Day 4/7/25: Gaza
This is a dark one, I'm afraid. Basically, Israeli forces killed 15 medics and other humanitarian workers, first claiming they thought they were Hamas until video surfaced showing the vehicle was correctly identified as a Red Crescent vehicle. The details are grisly. I'm struggling to come up with a way to describe them that doesn't rhyme with far-climbs.
I also wish I had a clearer-cut suggestion on how to get involved. I hate just dropping a bomb of despair on you all. The sad fact is America was always a lost cause and under Trump it's much worse. But do call your congressmen anyway and tell them you support an arms embargo to Israel. Just educate yourself, be aware. Maybe thank Bernie Sanders or any of the fourteen other senators who voted to block the recent arms package, full list behind the cut. And if you're not-American with a government that's more responsive, please keep the pressure up on our behalf too.
Senators who voted to block the latest arms sale to Israel: Senators Dick Durbin (D-Illinois), Martin Heinrich (D-New Mexico), Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii), Tim Kaine (D-Virginia), Andy Kim (D-New Jersey), Ben Ray Luján (D-New Mexico), Ed Markey (D-Massachusetts), Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon), Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut), Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), Tina Smith (D-Minnesota), Chris Van Hollen (D-Maryland), Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) and Peter Welch (D-Vermont), and of course Bernie Sanders himself. How to contact your Senator.

Just realized I never responded to my last ask. Things in LA have calmed down a bit but it’s still exactly how you’d imagine two catastrophic fires completely leveling two neighborhoods would be, There was a huge benefit concert last week that raised over $100 million for victims and rebuilding. I think it’s being matched by the org. My neighborhood was spared but we’re feeling the effects.
Anyway, Van’s either got a green card (permanent residency) or an O-1 USA visa. Those are the most common for bands the size of Catfish. O-1 visas last 3 years and can be renewed in 1 year increments forever. He just has to prove he’s still working mainly here. That may be why he signed with H8WG since they have an LA office. It’s much easier to get rental housing in LA with permanent residence than a visa so I’m inclined to think Van’s got permanent residency. He’s definitely spent enough time here for that. I think there’s a somewhat easier path from the UK to US compared to other countries. He’s had Island’s support for the past decade so they and/or whatever management they’re with would been taking care of that for him. Several that have been feeding me inside info have mentioned he’s been staying in Merseyside county when he’s back in the UK. Feel free to block this out if you don’t want to post this.
Hello I’m so glad to hear things have calmed down and your neighbourhood wasn’t directly affected, that fund raiser sounds amazing and much needed. Honestly with living somewhere that never gets the effects of extreme environmental conditions I can’t even imagine what something like that must be like to go through it sounded terrifying 😭
Thanks for the visa info I have no idea about any of that, people just tell me it’s very hard to get any kind of long term residency in the states. I’m quite happy to leave the Merseyside stuff up as I think it’s pretty well know that he has links around the Liverpool area.

Nahh the thing abt Alexandra is that charles wants to date ppl from monaco there only only like 5 ppl in an acceptable age range so there is now way they rnt all acquaintances there is also now way Charlottes sister and Alex weren't atleast acquaintances at a min coz I have this like mate from monaco (I live in the UK if u wanna know how we became friends I have a story time) but basically she said that w how small skls r they would have been more than acquaintances but not rlly mates ygm
Anyway I feel like with charles type for monagasque ppl we have to expect the homie hopping
Yeah any time I’ve met anyone from Monaco they’re like oh if you live there you know everyone who like within 5 years of your age really well because literally no one lives there all year. It’s densely populated but only in the summer there are so few permanent residents and even fewer that actually raise their children there, and then fewer than that that raise teens there. I was actually talking to this guy recently who grew up in Monaco partially (and used to drive in Indycar lol) and he was like you just know absolutely everyone.
So Charles has a really small dating pool because he doesn’t seem to want to date outside what is essentially his childhood acquaintances.
I feel like it’s probably so normal for them though like all their teenage relationships would have been super incestuous so his group probs don’t find it weird. I only find it ick because I don’t like mixing dating and friend groups like that but not for any other reason.
Also, word of a advice…marry your friend so you can get good seats for the gp lol

My Top 15 K-Pop Songs of 2023
I genuinely don't know how, but somehow we have made it to December 10 2023, exactly 1 year after my top songs of 2022 post which I've decided to make a permanent thing on this blog. This year I was a lot more organized with formulating this list - I created a spotify playlist in January, and any kpop songs I cared about this year I added to it in chronological order. This list includes songs released between 2022/12/10 and 2023/12/10, and is entirely based on my personal opinion - feel free to let me know ur top songs of the year in the comments and rbs <33
(15) BYOB (bring your own best friend) (English Ver.) - Billlie
I just know some eyebrows are being raised but HEAR ME OUT, this song just speaks to me. It’s not a club banger, it's not an anthemic stadium hit, but it is something for the girlies, and I love it.
(14) Girls' Capitalism - TripleS LOVElution
What a hilarious concept for a song, TripleS is too good. Is this song literally just ‘Generation’ the sequel? Yes! I don’t care!! It’s really good!!!
(13) Standing Next To You - Jungkook (BTS)
Now I’m not an army, and none of Jungkook’s previous singles really spoke to me, they were catchy of course but not for me. This song, on the other hand, is artistry. His passion for what he does is so obvious in this song, I am severely impressed.
(12) Spicy - aespa
Aespa just KNOWS how to do a concept. So many other groups would feel stagnant with the futuristic concept, but aespa keep reinventing themselves perfectly while retaining a sound that is so distinctly them. Spicy is peak girl pop; Ningning you outdid yourself on this one.
(11) Drama - aespa
Can aespa release a bad title track??? Drama would probably be higher if it came out earlier, but based on the month I’ve been listening to it, this is an absolute punch up for aespa. Our stint in the real world was fun and all, but we’re in kwangya again and it feels fucking good. Aespa, keep doing what you’re doing, and I’ll keep streaming.
(10) Fast Forward - JEON SOMI
People didn’t like this song this year, but I fucking loved it and this is my list. As a UK resident and 80s music enjoyer, this spoke to me on a molecular level. I know it's trashy, I know it's been done before, I don't care. Fast Forward is amazing.
(9) In Bloom - ZEROBASEONE
Category is: Boy Group Kpop (but it's actually good). Pure excellence, this is how to sample a classic song, this is how to debut, this is how to break the mold of boy groups and do it with actually good music (cough cough boynextdoor cough cough). Imagine if they kept this energy for their first comeback. Imagine lol
(8) Cherry Talk - TripleS +(KR)ystal Eyes
People (including tripleS stans) loooveee to shit on this song but it’s literally their best song since Generation, and I will stand by that. This is extremely LOONA coded, if you don’t like it, that must suck for you. BOOM CHERRY TALK CHERRY CHERRY TALK.
(7) Cool With You - NewJeans
They’re literally too good. I have no words.
(6) ETA - NewJeans
NewJeans said this year that being consistent hitmakers is easy actually, this song is fucking excellent. Controversially, I love the production, it's so funky and subversive. I got this song from day dot, if you get it you get it, if you don’t you don’t, and if you don’t I feel sorry for you xx
(5) Attitude - fromis_9
This is fromis_9’s second time showing up very high on my yearly roundups, I’m thinking I need to pay more attention to them. This song is the shit I live for in kpop, its SO HIGH QUALITY. Not a second wasted in this song, just pure goodness throughout. Fromis’s ability to be so extremely on trend never ceases to amaze me. This song is really fucking good, and the whole album is too good as well. Fromis_9, you have my attention. (that actually wasn’t on purpose lol)
(4) Air Force One - ODD EYE CIRCLE
Utter euphoria. That’s what this song feels like. LOONA had a rough 2022, and orbits were feeling it. We were boycotting and fighting for the girls to be free of that fucking company, and when we won, we were happy of course, but mostly exhausted. Then Odd Eye Circle dropped ‘Air Force One’. This song feels like a second wind, it builds up and up from the first second, tension rising, exhaustion fading and then ‘ready set and GO’ and its ANTHEMIC. You can exhale now, the work is done, LOONA is fucking back.
(3) OMG - NewJeans
Oh look, more NewJeans. The audacity to release one of the best songs of the year on January 2nd is crazy. ‘OMG’ is so effortlessly catchy, it’s ridiculous. It’s full to the brim of hooks and creative melodies, this is pop music at its best. It’s serotonin in a song, and the ability and self assurance of the members in their skills is palpable, and oozes from the seams of the track. In a somewhat forgettable year of Kpop, NewJeans were constantly reinventing and redefining what a hit is, and OMG is the physical form of that. Congratulations NewJeans, nobody is doing it like you.
(2) Sugarcoat (NATTY Solo) - KISS OF LIFE
I am being deadly serious when I say this song altered something in my brain. I struggle to comprehend how much I love this song, and I’m struggling even more to express that in words. I found Kiss of Love’s other debut songs to be quite fun, but this song eclipses anything they have ever and will ever release. Natty is such a powerhouse, I am in awe of her skill. If you haven’t heard this song, which is upsettingly likely as while this song had a moment on TikTok earlier this year, it was still a quite niche trend that didn’t last long, PLEASE go and listen, this was the best song released in 2023. But, this list doesn’t just include 2023. It also includes that tiny window after December 10 when literally no one releases music. No one except…
(1) Ditto - NewJeans
Ditto is one of those songs where you listen to it for the first time and you’re left a little bit speechless at the end. I don’t think I’m ever going to forget this song, or how it makes me feel. Ditto has changed the kpop industry forever, and it will go down in history as a defining moment of the genre. It’s melancholic and nostalgic and heartfelt, it's laughing through your tears, it’s hugging your best friend before you go your separate paths in life. I still get a little tug on my heart whenever Hyein’s beautiful intro vocals come in, and I think I always will. NewJeans, you’ve released a lot of amazing music this year, but thank you especially for this one, I’ll love it forever.

21?
21. How was your day today? Busy! Loads of errands getting ready for the Italians to stay in my flat (I want it to be perfect) and getting ready for me to fly out (in... 5 hours oops). Oh and also the Life in the UK Test lol (which you need to take for permanent residency) - that was unnecessarily stressful, the actual test took < 3 mins and was a joke. But it's done, so that's good!
#i memorized all those Olympians and sailors and Tudor history and for what#thanks for asking babe!#correspondence

I'm sorry but I don't understand why ranboo moved to the uk in the first place. no matter how much boobers tried to gaslight themselves, initially the only reason for the move was tubbo. ranboo themselves admitted that before the trip he was not particularly close even with tommy, not to mention other streamers. I'm not implying that ranboo used tubbo pragmatically for connections, but that's basically what happened. no matter what happened between beeduo, during that period when they lived together and ranboo already had to pack his things home, it was soooooo obvious that something was already off with their friendship. ranboo refused to be on tubbos streams for months, but then when new people who openly admired tubbo began to appear around him, ranboo suddenly began to insert himself into every tubbo stream. it was such a strange period. I say all this to the fact that his friendship with other uk streamers was very new and did not have any solid history behind it, his friendship with tubbo already had big problems, maybe it was visible only from the outside perspective, but ranboo himself didn't feel it Idk . And with all this, I have a question why did he move? it was not a move to another city or another state. he flew across the ocean with all his things for the sake of a guy who (after months of a strange attitude on ranboos part) began to gradually ignore him and exclude him from his life, and for the sake of people with whom ranboo was friends for no more than a few months.
it's actually a little sad cause ran moved in march and that month was the last time he was on tubbos stream 😭 the fortnite stream (iykyk) and then immediately after he moved they basically never spoke again 😭 I mean I'm sure he really did get very close to the rest of the group and tommy was very attached to him as well. and when I was watching him during this time as much as we like to rib him for ranmails and being parasocial I really did see a very sad kid who didn't have a lot to stay in america for- which sucks. idk what it is about him that leaves his friendships like this but I don't think it was totally illogical to want permanent residence in the only place where all your friends live- it's just kinda sad it ended up this way.

13 January 2024 - Woke up at 6 am. At Redfern Station by 7 am. We hear the thump thump thumping of a loud bass, and we look up to see a car screeching to a stop. Dion and I looked at each other 🤷 and said, "well, that's probably our ride!" It was, indeed, Tom, one of the two guys that we'd never met in person, only over the Facebook canyoning group. We chatted in the car with Tom while we waited for Julian, our other team member that we'd never met in person. Once Julian arrived, we loaded up in the car and drove to the Blue Mountains. We had almost two hours of driving in the car to get to know each other before we started our adventure. Tom is a rope access worker, originally from France, but on a working holiday visa in Australia for the time being; Tom is only 21 years old. Julian is ~40 years old, married, originally from the UK, but trying to establish permanent residency in Australia, working as a manager for systems engineers. We arrived at the Blue Mountains Claustral Canyon car park at 9:03 am. There were quite a few people at the car park, presumably all of them were descending Claustral, so Dion wanted to get moving quickly to beat the other groups. Once we were all packed, Dion led the way down the trail, starting off in a run. Julian followed at a running pace, then Tom followed at a running pace, then me. No one said a word. We were four adult men, carrying giant packs, running through the Australian bush! I started laughing because it was just too funny! We got to the bottom of the gorge at 9:29 am, and here is where we suited up in our wetsuits. We had a short descent down this small gorge and into Claustral. That's when the real fun began! For most of the abseils, I took charge of setting up the ropes, which was a cool role to have in this team. There were multiple times where the other team members didn't feel comfortable setting up the abseils, and it felt good that they felt confident in me doing that. The coolest abseil sequence was down one waterfall into a deep, dark pool of water, and that deep, dark pool of water led to a natural arch (the keyhole), and we abseiled down through the keyhole! It was one of the coolest abseils I've EVER done! It was SO dark down at the bottom of this canyon, so dark that even after my eyes had adjusted, I still couldn't see very well. The canyon had several more downclimbs. One of these downclimbs was down the main flow of the creek in a constriction where the force of the water was pushing the climber down the climb; as I did this climb, the water was pounding on my helmet and rushing on all sides of me, filling up my wetsuit, and forcing me downward. I couldn't really look around; the only direction that I could look was straight ahead and down, away from the water so that I could breathe. I felt around blindly for good handholds and good footholds to use. It was one of the coolest downclimbs I've ever done! There were several jumps in this canyon too, where we jumped off rocks into deep pools of water. When we arrived at the confluence with Carmarthen Brook. Dion suggested that we go up Carmarthen Brook a ways, so we ditched our packs and swam up Carmarthen. There were dark spooky sections, cool swims underneath huge chockstones, and eventually we arrived at the cave. As we looked up, we saw thousands of glow worms lining the canyon walls. The trickles of waterfalls seemed to be everywhere. It was magical! We spent a while just staring up at the dark cave with all the glow worms in silence, just admiring the magic and splendor. It was hard to see how tall this cave was, but my guess is that it was at least 10 meters high, and glow worms covering the whole surface. We were hungry and decided that it was time to eat some lunch, so we swam back to our packs and ate some food.

Your Journey to Settling in the UK: Understanding Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)

Getting Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) feels like reaching a really big goal in your UK life. It's also sometimes called Permanent Residence (PR). Basically, it's the status that lets you settle in the UK for good, freeing you from most immigration rules and restrictions. It's something many people hope for if they want to make the UK their permanent home.
Why Getting ILR is a Fantastic Step
The benefits of achieving ILR include long-term security and stability. Imagine being able to work, launch your own company, and travel freely within and outside of the UK anytime you need to. It also makes it easier to get advantages like public healthcare and education. It's also an important step that will help you get closer to applying for British citizenship in the future.
Finding Your Path to ILR: Different Routes
Most people apply based on how long they've been living lawfully in the UK.
There are a few main "pathways" you might take:
The Accelerated 3-Year Route:
This route to settlement is quicker. It is usually reserved for those with particular kinds of visas, such as the Innovator Founder visa, the Global Talent visa, or some older Tier 1 visas (such as Investor or Entrepreneur). You generally need 3 years of continuous residence on one of these eligible visas. You also need to meet things like financial rules (if applicable) and show you know about Life in the UK and meet the English language requirements. Following immigration and tax rules is important too.
The Common 5-Year Route:
The typical 5-year route is the one that most people choose. It is intended for those who have five years of lawful residency in the UK on a qualifying visa. Common examples are the Ancestry, Spouse or Partner, and Skilled Worker visas. Five years of continuous residency under an eligible visa, typically evidence of employment and income (if it's a work route), good character (no major criminal issues or violations of immigration laws), and, of course, passing the Life in the UK exam and demonstrating your proficiency in English are essential requirements.
The 10-Year Long Residence Route:
The 10-Year Long Residence technique, which is meant for anyone who has lived in the UK legally for ten years or more, is a somewhat different approach. It makes no difference what type of visa you had as long as you have been here consistently and lawfully for 10 years. A key part of this is ensuring that there haven't been any notable gaps in your legal status, usually no more than 180 days at a time. You also need to have outstanding character (no serious criminal issues) and pass the English language and Life in the UK tests. By doing this, you may recognise your long-standing presence and contributions to the UK.
Navigating Difficult Times: Special ILR Routes
The system also has ways to help people in tough situations:
If You've Faced Domestic Violence:
If you're in the UK on a Spouse or Partner visa and have experienced domestic abuse, you might be able to apply for ILR on your own. The government understands that victims shouldn't have to depend on an abusive partner for their immigration status. You'll need to show you were on a qualifying partner visa and that the abuse caused the relationship to break down, providing evidence of the domestic violence. The significant thing here is that you usually don't need to meet the normal financial or English language requirements for this route.
If Your Partner Has Died:
If your spouse or partner passed away while you were on a spouse or partner visa, you may be eligible for ILR under the bereaved partner route. The goal of this strategy is to keep those who have already made their home in the UK from having to move after their spouse passes away. You must demonstrate that, at the time of their passing, you were in the UK with a valid partner visa and in a legal partnership. English language proficiency, residence restrictions, or financial resources are not necessary for this strategy.
What You'll Generally Need for Your Application
For most ILR routes, you'll need to gather certain things and prove you meet the rules. This usually entails having your visa history examined and providing documentation of your residence. It is quite likely that you will need to demonstrate your proficiency in English and pass the Life in the UK Test. It's also critical to demonstrate your good character (no significant criminal history) and compliance with immigration and tax laws. The specific documents needed can be tailored to your particular situation and the ILR route you're following.
Talking About the Costs (The Fees)
Okay, let's talk about the cost. There are fees involved: • The main fee to the UK government (UKVI application fee) is currently £2,885, though it's always good to check for any updates. • Good news! You don't have to pay the NHS healthcare surcharge when applying for ILR. • There's a small fee of £19.20 to have your fingerprints and photo taken (biometric information). • If you're in a hurry, you can pay extra for priority processing (£500 for a 5-day decision) or super priority processing (£1000 for a 24-hour decision).
What If Your ILR Application Isn't Approved?
Although it might be rather discouraging to receive an ILR rejection, your adventure in the UK is not always ended. You frequently have choices: • If you believe the caseworker erred in making the decision, you may ask for an Administrative Review. • If there are human rights allegations in your case, you may be able to appeal. • You can frequently resubmit after bolstering your case if the rejection was due to insufficient evidence. Investigating a Judicial Review might be an option if you feel that the judgement was made unjustly.
The Risks of Trying to Apply on Your Own (DIY)
Doing your own ILR application might appear like a more economical option. Unfortunately, there are significant risks involved, which might lead to denials, delays, or even imperil your immigration status. Common risks include things like incomplete or erroneous paperwork, little errors on the form, calculating your length of stay incorrectly, or just missing a deadline. Due to the complexity of immigration law, a misinterpretation might lead to costly issues.
Why Getting Expert Help Makes Sense
Having expert assistance may greatly streamline the process and increase your chances of success. Professionals ensure that you comply with all documentation and evidentiary requirements, assisting you in verifying your eligibility, gathering all required materials, and properly submitting your application. Businesses that provide this type of advice and support include Conroy Baker Ltd. and The SmartMove2UK. They can assist you avoid the dangers of a do-it-yourself application and help you strive for approval on your first try. They are knowledgeable consultants who can walk you through every stage. They provide considerate and private assistance, particularly in delicate situations.
