i love how youtube saw me look up Minecraft stuff such as "cute farm builds", "how to redstone", "how to obtain a blue axolotl :]" and then my recommended is just, hey do you want to watch an hour long video about how a +10 year old Minecraft video mystery was actually in fact not faked and the mystery was caused by a really rare glitch?

hey! i'm still thinking a lot about the minecraft movie and how much potential there is to take the plot in just about any direction - i understand why it would be impractical at best to try and make a film adaptation of the fallen kingdom saga, but that would probably be my favorite...

Minecraft Server - Looking for Friends?

I've been scrolling, and these sort of posts seems to go over well, but there aren't really any recent one's, so I might as well make my own, right?

I'm thinking about starting a small minecraft smp. I'm thinking something closer to Hermitcraft than DreamSMP type thing - just survival Minecraft, fun projects, and some shenanigans. I really just want to play Minecraft with friends, but don't really have any that play, so if you'd be interested in joining something like this, I'd love to talk! If this gets enough attention, I'll make a Discord for it and link it here, but in the meantime feel free to just shoot me a message or reply on this post?

I also have very little experience running anything like this (by little, I mean basically none), so if anyone has advice, or tips, or would like to help on the technical side of all this, that would be fantastic as well!

has anyone else watching hermitcraft season 10 been really wanting to play on an smp lately? the itch to play survival minecraft is strong and I think I'm gonna make a simple vanilla survival server (maybe some datapacks like on hc and the new update stuff) would anyone be interested in joining?

i love the egg child part of the qsmp so much i just need to put it into words. it’s such a smart idea for how to make sure the server stays active — it’s not an activity requirement, but if you don’t take care of your egg, it will die. theoretically, you could just let your egg die and you can let someone else take care of it when you aren’t free to join. but people fall in love with their little pixel children and then they WANT to be active, it’s not an obligation they have to fill but something their consistently excited to do.

and having the parents be an english streamer and a spanish streamer is such a good way to make sure they all interact with each other across the language barrier. sure, there is some in-game translation to make things easier, but they also end up talking on discord to coordinate childcare and in the screenshots we’ve seen i think it’s so interesting how they’ll often speak the other person’s language rather than just picking one to both use or only using their own. co-parenting also gives them the basis for building up strong and unique relationships between the streamers themselves and their qsmp characters, which would’ve been much harder to develop without being given a starting point given the language barrier.

it’s just so clear how much thought quackity has put into this server and it’s so fun to watch everyone fall in love with their little egg children

All those people being like "Minecraft sucks nowadays I don't have fun anymore" have you considered you perhaps, just grew out of it, not that thw game itself sucks nowadays.
