Fic under cut! I’m not confident in my writing abilities, in fact I’m pretty sure they suck, but I’ve been working on it and need to build some confidence so, behold~

You know, being a God, my emotions are quite… dimmed. I know what anxiousness, sadness, happiness, jealousy, and such is supposed to feel like, but for a very long time it was hard to comprehend. These emotions are far more prominent in humans.

Then I met her. Guizhong, of course.

In a field of glaze lilies sat the most beautiful being I had ever seen, a gown of blue and gold silks, a beautifully crafted Jade brooch to complement the dress, the hair piece, the field of lilies around us, and most of all, her. The wind grazed her so gently. A flawless image that will forever remain in my mind. A lovely contrast to my blood stained robes and body fresh from war.

The more we spoke to each other the more these feelings within me grew, for the very first time, I felt love.

Then on that darkened day, where Guizhong was cruelly taken from Teyvat, those feelings within me quickly fell prey to erosion, I became more of a shell. I took in everything about this world, everything about my then new purpose as an archon, and I tried to fill that hole within me. Now, my love had eroded, just as my purpose and my journey had. I never thought I’d feel like that again.

But, history tends to repeat itself in the funniest of ways. “Isn’t that so, Ajax?” For the second time in Zhongli’s very long life, he held his lover in his arms, once again, blood soaked coat, weapon thrown to the side, Ajax’s tattered body laying there, limp. Zhongli gently caressed his cheek, just as the wind had once done many times before.

“So here we are once more” He looks down at Ajax, someone who had given him a new purpose, snow kissed his pale face, and once again, in the field of glaze lilies, a new contrast of deep red blood and fresh fallen snow. Picking one of the glaze lilies around them and placing it in his hair, he kissed him one last time.

“Goodbye, my love.” Grievances and rage seeping deeply into his soul. Closing his eyes, he stood up, and he stood tall, the ground shaking beneath him.

Whoever did this will definitely be paying a hefty price.

I headcanon that itto remembers damn near everything but it always comes to him at the wrong time. Like he remembers that funny thing you did four months eight days 7 hours ago, and he’s gonna talk about it for 35 minutes straight and there’s nothing you can do about it, but it’s also happening at a formal dinner probably hosted by Ayato (ayato absolutely did NOT want itto attending such an event, itto snaked his way in mid beetle fight banter and ayato just couldn’t get out of it).

“Fast food isn’t hard” yeah until you’re running the entire counter area and drive thru alone with your fry and grill cooks are also alone in their stations while still be expected to keep your stations perfectly clean and stocked and wait times under 3 minutes and perfect customer service…. Like bro I gotta have at least 8 different arms and legs for this job help

I work at [mostly redacted, starts with a J, ends with a X] and we often have only 3 or 4 employees working lately and our DM won’t let us close the lobby it’s so annoying how I can’t just focus on drive thru lol, I have to also take drive thru orders while taking counter orders when the registers are practically across the store from eachother. Our rushes last like 3-4 hours sometimes too. I’m not even a team lead, I’m just a team member and I have to bounce around the store helping people with fryers and grill and up front bc we literally don’t have the time or the staff right now to properly train people. I am 17 lmfao.

And people are so rude, like babe I’m doing my best I’m sorry it’s taking 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds 😭

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

If you are feeling rushed in a drive thru service are then it means YOU ARE TAKING TO FUCKING LONG.

Even if the sauce or water cup is free you need to let the team know that upon ordering!!!!

Most headset workers have to multitask and also have the pressure of keeping each order under two minutes. That includes the order placement the bagging and the pick up. The concept of drive thrus should not be new to anyone.

Also if you're front counter do NOT bother the person with the headset you are not their priority the drive thru is.

he wants to learn about you so deep and intimate he doesn't want to leave an inch without caressing or kissing. he wants to memorize your taste, your smell, your softness and your voice. your gestures and the way you walk. how your body feels wrapped by his arms. you admire him, with your head against your side of the pillow and his hand on your lower back. eyes scanning softly his face, his handsome features and his pretty tattoos. you memorize him as well, as the lovely and amazing person you know he is. even when he tries to hide it under mystery and enigma, you gained his trust, and, quickly, his heart. he opened up to you as you did to him, falling in love so slowly and intense you've felt as if cupido hit you with an arrow.

now, as tiredness wins over him, you kiss his lips softly, as his eyes close. "thanks for choosing me" you whisper, tenderly cuddling against his body, before feeling how his arms hug you tighter and his husky voice answers you.
