Opposites attract is something you hear about relationships. This couldn’t be more right with you and Sanji.

The two of you were polar opposites in every sense of the phrase. He was very outgoing, flirty, charming, and what could be described as the life of the party. You were the opposite of that. You were very introverted, you couldn’t flirt to save your life, you were sure you were devoid of any charm, and you were the one to avoid a party. To say that this caused some challenges would be an understatement.

Sanji was the first one up in the morning to go to his shift at the Baratie and the last one to get in at night because of him staying longer to attend a party at the bar. You were the last one up, seeing as your shift started later, and the first one in since you didn’t really stick around once your job was over. The only time you really had to spend with the other was when you both had a day off.

You tried to do the things Sanji did. You tried to go to parties after work. You tried to meet more new people. You tried to do the whole outgoing thing but it just wasn’t what you were good at. At every party, you were in the corner of the boat, wanting to disappear while Sanji was off dancing or drinking his weight in alcohol. You had awkward conversations and it always made you feel like an idiot afterward for even trying.

And it was the same for Sanji. Sanji tried to stop staying out so late every once in a while to spend time at home with you. He tried to just have the day be you and him, no one else. No distractions. But he couldn’t do it either. It made him feel like he was being tied down. It made him antsy. He couldn’t sit inside all day. He needed to get out and interact with people. You didn’t.

This caused a few arguments here and there. You argued that he never stayed home enough and he argued that you never go out with him. It was an ongoing cycle that felt like it would never be solved. It rarely ever was solved. The conversation always ended with the two of you avoiding the topic and acting like it never happened.

It made people wonder how you were even together at times. What made you both, polar opposites, actually get together in the first place? The answer was simple.

You balanced each other out very well. You played to the others strengths and weaknesses. If you were lacking in one area, Sanji would fill that void so you could work more efficiently. It was the same for Sanji. Where he lacked, you provided the necessary support.

The only problem you had before this was at the start of the relationship. You were the type to want to move things slow. You wanted to truly know a person before you jumped into anything. Sanji had a hard time with this. Sure, he would wait for you for however long he needed to but he wondered when you would be ready because it felt like it would be forever until that day finally came. This problem slowly resolved itself over time. It just took time. Maybe this will too.

Either way, there were still times it was hard for you to function in the relationship because of the stark contrast in personalities. This stemmed from underlying issues.

Sanji felt like you didn’t need him at times. You were always so independent. You relied on yourself to the point you didn’t need help from anyone. You didn’t require human interaction to function. You could sit in your own silence and be comfortable with it. It felt like if he was removed from your life, you wouldn’t even notice.

Then there was you. While Sanji felt like you didn’t need him, you felt like you held him back and like you weren’t enough for him at times. You always got onto him about staying out late, something he enjoyed. You could tell it irritated him when you argued with him about it. You knew that he was doing something he enjoyed, but he was almost never home to spend time with you. It made you feel like he was more comfortable around complete strangers than his own partner. You felt like you didn’t give him enough.

It frustrated the two of you so much.

You felt like he was too sweet for you and he felt like he wasn’t savory enough for you.

i do have a playlist for them and it needs major revising BUT. it will come back by hozier and i'll love you someday by the technicolors always make me think of them 🫶

🤍 What is their favorite or most admired quality in the other?

Jasper for Mason: Jasper really just loves how real Mason is? Does he know what tf is going between them? No. But he's not afraid to admit it and he openly says he knows there's something. While Jasper may not be in love with him at this point in the series, the transparency is refreshing.

Mason for Jasper: Hm... I think Mason likes that they're not afraid to voice their opinion, whether that be through standing up to Ava or just over something mundane, he respects it even if he might not necessarily agree (though he often does). But Mason also appreciates how considerate they are of his sensory issues even if they're dulled with Jas around, they try their best to not terribly imposing on his space.

🫦 What's something seemingly innocent that the other does, says or wears that turns the other on?

Whenever Mason ties his hair back, Jasper has to keep themself from foaming at the mouth fr. Or when he lights a cigarette, like the way his jaw clenches for a minute while he brings the lighter up? Mind's wandering to asking him to shotgun the smoke into their mouth 🙏

🧸 BONUS! Include one of your favorite moments between them!

The crystal store!!! I think that's when Jasper started to realize that they really care about Mason a lot, deeper than they really seem to realize. Seeing him in any sort of pain was incredibly difficult to them but also seeing that bit of vulnerability and him sharing something about himself with them was really touching as well. Plus, more casual touches that don't lead to anything even if it's kinda used as a lifeline for Mason in that moment.

gray/dante:

🍭 What's something they can never agree on (big or small)?

Pizza toppings. Gray asks for olives, Dante considers breaking up with them for a minute. No but fr, there isn't a lot they disagree on and if there is, they tend to kinda dance around it since they can both be kinda conflict avoidant at times. BUT initially, there were some moral conflicts, I suppose? Gray is more.. morally neutral if u will. But even then, that was before they got together so Dante mostly kept his opinions to himself.

🍫 Who is more likely to steal the other's clothes? What are their favorite items to steal?

GRAYYYYY. Absolute thief. Kleptomaniac but only for his goddamn closet. Any sweaters or hoodies he has? Gone. Shirts? Their pajamas now. He complains about it sometimes but he likes seeing them in his clothes so he can't bitch toooo much. Plus, they make up for it by sending pictures of them in his jacket with nothing underneath while he's out on a job👍

💐 What’s their favorite “domestic bliss” moment? Do they cook/clean together? Do they like to go out shopping together?

I'm not entirely sure what counts as domestic buut they really like showering together after a job, even if they don't end up fucking it's nice to just stand under the warm water together and clean each other off. Plus, Dante always enjoys seeing how the water rejuvenates them. Neither of them can cook to save their lives and their diets are awful. They mostly just order in. But Gray is better about cleaning than he is, they don't like their space too cluttered. Neither of them go shopping too often either, Gray hates it and Dante usually doesn't have much money. Take their asses to walmart and you'll find Gray hiding in the plant section or the two of them dueling with pool noodles they found. But yeah, they're not domestic in the traditional sense, really. Properly settling down just isn't really in the cards for them so they make do with what they have, and what they're used to.

This happens more over time but when they start to open up to each other more and realize just how similar they are? Like just getting to know each other outside the bedroom. Two half-demons who have lost more than most people will in a lifetime and struggle with their humanity? Yeah...

maybe robin, steve and nancy opened a club - steve with the money, robin works in administration and nancy was a dancer herself so she's in charge of that whole part. and the club is going great it has a good amount of dancers and their routines, a good bunch of patrons etc. one day one of the other dancers (yes i'm thinking chrissy) comes up to robin and nancy and says that an old colleague of her who was working abroad has come back and chrissy thinks she'd fit right in with the rest of the crew, and oh my god she's so talented you have no idea!!

robin and nancy agree to have her audition so vickie comes in, does her routine, and robin is immediatly in love. she has such an unique dance style, she's sensual without being too slow, she's fun and light-hearted without losing the seriousness, she's complex without being complicated

robin has a vote on it, all of them do, but nancy's in charge so robin looks at her with the most pathetic pleading eyes but well! it works, vickie is the new hired dancer! everyone's happy, yay!

there isn't an explicit rule about romance being prohibited but robin is vickie's boss in a way and it feels weird, so she doesn't do anything about her infatuation (and also because she thinks if she tries flirting with vickie she's just gonna pass out from all the nerves or something). but she comes out of her office to watch every single one of vickie's presentations. and if vickie notices that, if she blushes under robin's attention, if she watches robin's reactions to her movements and it makes her burn with pride and the need for more, if she starts working on routines about longing and pining and looks into robin's eyes throughout the whole dance well that's for them to figure it out
