full offense but if my department heads wanted our self-evals to contain stats and metrics, despite that not being a requirement in any of the previous self-evals i have done in the course of my nearly three years of employment here, i feel that they perhaps should have told us that before the literal day those evals are due.

Why Kuwaiti Businesses Are Choosing Odoo for Their ERP Needs
Tumblr media
Kuwait’s economy is thriving, with businesses across industries like oil and gas, retail, logistics, and finance embracing digital transformation to stay competitive. In this fast-paced landscape, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have become indispensable tools for growth. Among the solutions gaining traction, Odoo ERP is a favorite for Kuwaiti businesses.
But why? At Centrix Plus, Kuwait’s trusted partner for Odoo implementation and customization, we’ve witnessed firsthand how this open-source platform is revolutionizing local operations. Here’s why Kuwaiti companies are making the switch to Odoo.
1. Cost-Effective Flexibility for Growing Businesses
Kuwaiti SMEs and large enterprises alike prioritize solutions that deliver value without breaking the bank. Odoo’s modular structure allows businesses to start with essential apps (like accounting, inventory, or CRM) and scale up as needed. Unlike rigid, pre-packaged ERP systems, Odoo’s pay-as-you-grow model aligns perfectly with Kuwait’s dynamic market, where agility is key.
Centrix Plus Insight:We’ve helped Kuwaiti startups and conglomerates customize Odoo modules to fit their budgets, eliminating the need for costly overhauls down the line.
2. Local Compliance Made Simple
Kuwait’s regulatory environment demands precision, including VAT and financial reporting standards. Odoo’s localization features for the Middle East ensure compliance with Kuwaiti laws, from Arabic-language interfaces to automated tax calculations.
Did You Know?Centrix Plus offers Kuwait-specific Odoo customizations, such as Zakat reporting and integration with local banking systems, ensuring seamless adherence to regional requirements.
3. Scalability to Match Kuwait’s Ambitions
With Kuwait Vision 2035 driving economic diversification, businesses need ERP systems that grow with their goals. Odoo’s cloud-based infrastructure supports scalability, whether a company is expanding its warehouse in Shuwaikh or launching an e-commerce platform across the GCC.
Real-World Example:A Kuwaiti logistics firm partnered with Centrix Plus to implement Odoo’s fleet management and route optimization modules. Within months, they reduced delivery times by 30% and scaled operations to serve Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
4. Seamless Integration with Existing Tools
Many Kuwaiti businesses rely on legacy software or niche tools for industry-specific tasks. Odoo’s open-source API allows effortless integration with third-party systems, from government portals to custom POS setups in Kuwaiti retail stores.
Centrix Plus Advantage:Our developers specialize in bridging Odoo with Kuwait’s most-used platforms, ensuring minimal disruption during implementation.
5. Unmatched Customization for Kuwait’s Unique Needs
Kuwait’s market has distinct challenges, from managing seasonal demand during Ramadan to handling complex supply chains. Odoo’s flexible framework lets businesses tailor workflows to their exact needs.
Case in Point:A Kuwaiti construction company used Centrix Plus to build a custom Odoo module for project cost tracking, slashing budget overruns by 22% and improving stakeholder transparency.
Why Centrix Plus is Kuwait’s Go-To Odoo Partner
While Odoo’s benefits are clear, successful implementation requires local expertise. Here’s how Centrix Plus empowers Kuwaiti businesses:
In-Depth Regional Knowledge: We understand Kuwait’s business culture, regulations, and pain points.
24/7 Arabic/English Support: From Salmiya to Jahra, our team provides round-the-clock assistance.
Industry-Specific Solutions: Tailored Odoo setups for healthcare, trading, manufacturing, and more.
Post-Implementation Training: We ensure your team maximizes Odoo’s potential.
The Future of ERP in Kuwait Starts with Odoo
Kuwait’s businesses are no longer settling for one-size-fits-all ERP systems. With Odoo’s adaptability, cost efficiency, and localization strengths—paired with Centrix Plus’s expertise—companies are future-proofing their operations while staying rooted in Kuwait’s unique market demands.

Federal employees are seeking a temporary restraining order as part of a class action lawsuit accusing a group of Elon Musk’s associates of allegedly operating an illegally connected server from the fifth floor of the US Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) headquarters in Washington, DC.
An attorney representing two federal workers—Jane Does 1 and 2—filed a motion this morning arguing that the server’s continued operation not only violates federal law but is potentially exposing vast quantities of government staffers’ personal information to hostile foreign adversaries through unencrypted email.
A copy of the motion, filed in the DC District Court by National Security Counselors, a Washington-area public-interest law firm, was obtained by WIRED exclusively in advance. WIRED previously reported that Musk had installed several lackeys in OPM’s top offices, including individuals with ties to xAI, Neuralink, and other companies he owns.
The initial lawsuit, filed on January 27, cites reports that Musk’s associates illegally connected a server to a government network for the purposes of harvesting information, including the names and email accounts of federal employees. The server was installed on the agency’s premises, the complaint alleges, without OPM—the government’s human resources department—conducting a mandatory privacy impact assessment required under federal law.
Under the 2002 E-Government Act, agencies are required to perform privacy assessments prior to making “substantial changes to existing information technology” when handling information “in identifiable form.” Notably, prior to the installation of the server, OPM did not have the technical capability to email the entire federal workforce from a single email account.
“[A]t some point after 20 January 2025, OPM allowed unknown individuals to simply bypass its existing systems and security protocols,” Tuesday’s motion claims, “for the stated purpose of being able to communicate directly with those individuals without involving other agencies. In short, the sole purpose of these new systems was expediency.”
OPM did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
If the motion is granted, OPM would be forced to disconnect the server until the assessment is done. As a consequence, the Trump administration’s plans to drastically reduce the size of the federal workforce would likely face delays. The email account linked to the server—[email protected]—is currently being used to gather information from federal workers accepting buyouts under the admin’s “deferred resignation program,” which is set to expire on February 6.
“Under the law, a temporary restraining order is an extraordinary remedy,” notes National Security Counselors’ executive director, Kel McClanahan. “But this is an extraordinary situation.”
Before issuing a restraining order, courts apply what’s known as the “balance of equities” doctrine, weighing the burdens and costs on both parties. In this case, however, McClanahan argues that the injunction would inflict “no hardship” on the government whatsoever. February 6 is an “arbitrary deadline,” he says, and the administration could simply continue to implement the resignation program “through preexisting channels.”
“We can't wait for the normal course of litigation when all that information is just sitting there in some system nobody knows about with who knows what protections,” McClanahan says. “In a normal case, we might be able to at least count on the inspector general to do something, but Trump fired her, so all bets are off.”
The motion further questions whether OPM violated the Administrative Procedure Act, which prohibits federal agencies from taking actions “not in accordance with the law.” Under the APA, courts may “compel agency action”—such as a private assessment—when it is “unlawfully withheld.”
Employees at various agencies were reportedly notified last month to be on the lookout for messages originating from the [email protected] account. McClanahan’s complaint points to a January 23 email from acting Homeland Security secretary Benjamine Huffman instructing DHS employees that the [email protected] account “can be considered trusted.” In the following days, emails were blasted out twice across the executive branch instructing federal workers to reply “Yes” in both cases.
The same account was later used to transmit the “Fork in the Road” missive promoting the Trump administration’s legally dubious “deferred resignation program,” which claims to offer federal workers the opportunity to quit but continue receiving paychecks through September. Workers who wished to participate in the program were instructed to reply to the email with “Resign.”
As WIRED has reported, even the new HR chief of DOGE, Musk’s task force, was unable to answer basic questions about the offer.
The legal authority underlying the program is unclear, and federal employee union leaders are warning workers not to blindly assume they will actually get paid. In a floor speech last week, Senator Tim Kaine advised workers not to be fooled: “There’s no budget line item to pay people who are not showing up for work.” Patty Murray, ranking Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Committee, similarly warned Monday: “There is no funding allocated to agencies to pay staff for this offer.”
McClanahan’s lawsuit highlights the government’s response to the OPM hack of 2015, which compromised personnel records on more than 22 million people, including some who’d undergone background checks to obtain security clearances. A congressional report authored by House Republicans following the breach pinned the incident on a “breakdown in communications” between OPM’s chief information officer and its inspector general: “The future effectiveness of the agency’s information technology and security efforts,” it says, “will depend on a strong relationship between these two entities moving forward.”
OPM’s inspector general, Krista Boyd, was fired by President Donald Trump in the midst of the “Friday night purge” on January 24—one day after the first [email protected] email was sent.
“We are witnessing an unprecedented exfiltration and seizure of the most sensitive kinds of information by unelected, unvetted people with no experience, responsibility, or right to it,” says Sean Vitka, policy director at the Demand Progress Education Fund, which is supporting the action. “Millions of Americans and the collective interests of the United States desperately need emergency intervention from the courts. The constitutional crisis is already here.”

Opened Reddit by accident while trying to type in a bands youtube channel and saw this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/1guhsm4/well_this_is_it_boys_i_was_just_informed_from_my/
Well this is it boys. I was just informed from my boss and HR that my entire profession is being automated away. For context I work production in local news. Recently there’s been developments in AI driven systems that can do 100% of the production side of things which is, direct, audio operate, and graphic operate -all of those jobs are all now gone in one swoop. This has apparently been developed by the company Q ai. For the last decade I’ve worked in local news and have garnered skills I thought I would be able to take with me until my retirement, now at almost 30 years old, all of those job opportunities for me are gone in an instant. The only person that’s keeping their job is my manager, who will overlook the system and do maintenance if needed. That’s 20 jobs lost and 0 gained for our station. We were informed we are going to be the first station to implement this under our company. This means that as of now our entire production staff in our news station is being let go. Once the system is implemented and running smoothly then this system is going to be implemented nationwide (effectively eliminating tens of thousands of jobs.) There are going to be 0 new jobs built off of this AI platform. There are people I work with in their 50’s, single, no college education, no family, and no other place to land a job once this kicks in. I have no idea what’s going to happen to them. This is it guys. This is what our future with AI looks like. This isn’t creating any new jobs this is knocking out entire industry level jobs without replacing them.
Don't ever let any AI-supporters try to claim that AI will 'never make people lose their jobs!' because it's already been happening before this, and now this thread is full of stories of people talking about people being laid off from jobs they'd worked for 40 years to be replaced by AI :/
*this* is why it is so important to not tolerate generative AI, even when it's "just a joke" or "for a meme" I'm just eternally greatful that Tumblr hasn't been completely swarmed with AI generated images the way facebook has...

FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY
TO: All Staff, Whispering Winds Resort & Spa
FROM: Human Resources
SUBJECT: Emergency New Management Strategy to Overcome Revealing Yourself (ENM STORY)
As I'm sure you know, at Whispering Winds Resort our clientele includes businessmen, politicians, philanthropists, and celebrities, some of the most elite men in the world. As such, we take their feedback very seriously.
There's no easy way to say this, but many guests have reported enduring seriously embarrassing ordeals while staying on our properties. Thankfully no women have reported such incidents, we could only imagine the lawsuits that would entail. But for the men, not a week goes by that we don't get a complaint from a seriously disgruntled, usually naked, guest.
In preparation for our busy summer season, we are introducing the Emergency New Management Strategy to Overcome Revealing Yourself or ENM STORY for short. This new policy starts with some immediate changes and a new protocol to assist guests experiencing an embarrassing nude moment.
IMMEDIATE CHANGES Discontinuing Locker Room Laundry: We will no longer be collecting guests clothes from their lockers for dry cleaning during spa appointments. So rarely were clothes finished on time, leaving guests trapped naked in the locker room until dry cleaning was complete. Zip Line Improvements: We've invested in a harness for the zip line over the pool deck. Given repeated incidents we will no longer attach guests to the line by the drawstring of their swim trunks or their belt loops. Honestly not sure what we were doing there. Dismissal of in-house tailoring staff: Once one of our marquee offerings, we'll no longer provide complimentary tailoring for clothes purchased at our boutique. We received many reports of what some men described as "deliberately weakened rear seams" and "faulty rear pockets" causing disastrous wardrobe malfunctions.
Adjusting the salinity of the pools: We found the that the level of salt in our pools had a tendency to weigh down bathing suits, causing some rather revealing pool exits. We're working to develop a new salt to water ratio to prevent that going forward.
Changes to Mini Golf Course: After several complaints of guests clothes literally blowing off, we have reduced the speed of the windmill on our putt putt course.
**Our ENM STORY Protocol consists of five easy steps Signal, Huddle, Assuage, Migrate, and Evaluate or SHAME for easy recall. Signal: When a guest suffers an embarrassing moment, it is your job to signal other staff in the immediate area. "Code Blush" is the signal for staff communication. Respond to a Code Blush ASAP when called.
Huddle: Once other staff is in place, form a huddle around the affected guest. All staff should be facing outward, giving the guest a modicum of privacy in the middle of the huddle. As a group, conceal their exposure from potential onlookers. Assuage: Time to manage the guest's emotions. Our high class clientele are not used to being humiliated like this in their everyday lives. Expect a strong emotional response. Take it upon yourself to explain how you minimized their exposure and assure them not many people saw and it wasn't that bad, even if it was. Migrate: Once the guest's emotions are in check, it is time for the huddle to move as a single unit to a more secure location so the guest can redress and reclaim his dignity. Movement should be swift and deliberate. Sloppy migration can result in broken huddles and re-exposed guests.
Evaluate: We need to evaluate each embarrassing nude moment on our properties to identify patterns and implement solutions. Implementation of the ENM STORY protocol must be thoroughly documented and submitted to HR within two weeks of the incident to ensure the efficacy of the program. We understand there may be an inclination to soften details of the story to protect the dignity of our valued guests. Omitting any details will only make it harder for us to put a good system in place. Trust us, there's no detail too embarrassing or too small to be included in your reports.
Finally, please note that nowhere does the SHAME protocol encourage giving the guest something to cover themselves with. Our legal team has advised us that offering a modesty material is viewed in some jurisdictions as an admission of fault and opens us up to potential liability.

Sometimes I look at Lancer's core book and just think about how lacking it is in significant details for all the factions, like who is the current leaders of Union, to founders and owners of the many corporate entities.
I know that doesn't sound like exciting lore to anyone, but for Union, there's no one like the Camerons from Battletech or the Karl Franz from Warhammer Fantasy. And I can see that it was probably purposely implemented like this for the reason that these entities are bigger than the identities that lead them, and that's why when a name like Johnathan Harrison pops up along sith a small blurb of who he is, we start to realize his significance and why Harrison Armory is the way it is. He was basically a fascistic General from Seccomm that fled and made his own Union how he saw fit, and his clones still live up to his legacy to the current setting of Lancer.
At the same time, Union doesn't have any of that. There's no lore about some, or any politician of government in the Core Book at least other than the seats and chairs that they fill. The reason for this is to give the players the ability to make their own interpretations with the world, but it's really saying something when your big government super power claiming to be in a utopian golden age doesn't have a face to its actual organization.
(Side note: if anyone ever tells you that their realm is a Utopia, you should be taking that the same way that someone says that a ship is 'Unsinkable'. Sorry to burst your bubble Pilot NET, but some of you really need to read between the lines about this. Especially with how much of a bureaucratic nightmare DoJ HR is.)
I know that it's very much the case that Massif press could have done this intentionally to show in the Lancer setting that the sum is bigger and more significant than all the parts added together. The world of the setting is too big to care too much about one individual or planet without weeding in a reason why in most cases because unless you're playing a mission book like Solstice Rain, you probably wouldn't be visiting any of the planets or people brought up in the first place. But the thing is, to me, is that this really makes Lancer less lively than I think it should. When I read about the Albatross, I wanna know about their heroes and significant feats and journeys. I could just play and Albatross, but having record of the daily life at the perspective of a nomadic Lancer would have been told so much more than I think the actual descriptions give.
It's why I love the blurb of text on the Sisyphus NHP. It builds a character, tells a narrative, and humanizes this being most probably would only be used to get a better roll. It also implies how cycling actually works for an NHP and the significance to it. And from all this, we can see that Sisyphus knows that his fate is to be cycled and die over and over again. Something barely given full page and it's just text on equipment.
And yet we don't have anything like that for the bigger picture. We don't know that the leaders of Union generally feel or think about the world surrounding us. We don't have a set uniform for Union or any other of the major players. And as a person who was fascinated with historical things like what soldiers wore during the battle of waterloo, or what camo patterns did a certain tank use, I feel like it's a significant diservice to not give us official uniforms and outfits for Union.
Imagine what cultural reflections that could have impacted the clothing an officer would wear.
I don't know, Lancer really likes to skim on the actually interesting descriptions, but I still love it. It's just that it really doesn't give me enough reason to care about things like Cradle or the Solar System in its current timeline. There is a lot of telling, and not showing in the lore for me, but they don't even tell things that historical nuts like me might be interested in.

Things I want for Momentary x Kiss (function-wise)
A map with the 6 date locations & gift shop
Functional gift shop (buy/sell/work at the shop)
Locations blacked out after date is completed
Gallery to show cutscene wallpapers
4 galleries for each character
A special gallery for the Best Ending
5 question trivia (+5 for each question right, -5 for each question wrong. +10 for the bonus questions)
Leaving a date will be an option, but will cost a -20 drop in relationship with the characters
Quiz will start after each date, a 10 second time will start for each question
Hot keys for easy navigation & gameplay (ex: I for inventory, M for map, P for phone, Ctrl+S for save)
Game slots for multiple save files
Opening animatic showing the plot of the game (possibly animated or at least some movement)
Money system/bank app to keep track of your money
Work at the gift shop for 8hrs ($15/hr), but once you finish your shift, all date locations will be closed (show a clock animation to show passage of time)
Inventory system, can carry only 12 items at a time
Custom tutorial/help screen to refer to
Character select screen after opening intro
Calendar system/day & night system
Relationship meter bar that shows your relationship to the character
Code certain items to that the characters like, these will boost your relationship with them
You can text the characters during the week, ask them questions about themselves. But they'll get annoyed if you ask the same question repeatedly
Prevent the player from using their phone or map during dates & quizzes
Things you learn about the characters will be logged on the Notepad app on your phone
You can give gifts during dates, but not during quizzes or at the end of the night
You can only give 3 gifts per date
When out on dates, the characters will ask you to order meals for them, the food you order will be in your inventory
You can't go to the gift shop for a date
Going to bed will trigger the end of the day
You can only go on dates on Saturday (the characters will say they're busy with the band the rest of the week)
Go to a 'special location' at the end of the 6th date, if relationship is high enough
Going to date locations by yourself doesn't trigger wallpapers
Certain ways you respond to the character's questions/statements can boost or lower your relationship with the characters
Keep in mind: I DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH CODING IN REN'PY!! But I do know it's not impossible to code these things & implement them into Momentary x Kiss.
There are a lot of youtubers I follow that have a lot of great tutorials about Ren'Py/Python coding that already tackle these functions.
My goal is to avoid Feature Creep (when a game dev adds too many unnecessary features/functions to a game that don't relate to the main quest/plot of a game).
I want small functions that limit certain things, but also give players room find new ways to play the game. I wanna encourage you guys to play smarter & not harder.
It's going to be a while until I get to the point where I'm ready to code, but I want to at least share what you can/can't do in Momentary x Kiss

To wake up in one piece after confronting the literal Apocalypse is...
Something.
You don't know if you'll ever get used to it. People are just walking around and trying to go about pretending as if it never happened, to start back up where they left off, but humanity still has a permanent mental- and in many ways physical- scar that won't ever go away. Not many can say they don't flinch at shadows or loud sounds, or when the sky gets grey about to rain.
To go from that unknown terror to trying to sleep at night and go to work the next day for many has been, an adjustment. Especially with Humanity's new neighbors. At least the new friends were some of the better thing to come out of the End of Days.
The Makers have been more than incredibly helpful in rebuilding, but even then progress has been s-
"Why's it so Creator damned bright all the sudden?"
You were woken up by Strife's body shifting as he roused from sleep, his face buried in the nook of your neck. His right arm lays over your stomach, while the other is tucked somewhere under the pillows. You'd say his legs are tangled with yours, though given the size difference it's more like his are weighing yours down underneath the blankets.
He loves to hold you almost like some sort of stuffed animal. It's endearing, until you need to move anywhere.
"That's because the sun is rising, Strife."
The Nephilim lets out a groan as his face presses deeper into your neck, attempting to block out the morning sun. It's the crack of dawn, and you have no business being up this early. Nor do you want to be, as you close your eyes and attempt sink into the mattress and fall back asleep.
It seem Strife doesn't have any plans to let you do that however, as you feel him wiggle yet again. His warm breath fans over your skin as he attempts to fall back asleep same as you. His weight that pushes the limit of the bed frame's max limit makes it shift enough to jostle you, and wrench a groan from you.
To think he'd go from being so hesitant to get close his eyes around you to this. It's been interesting, seeing him finally let his guard down.
He loves the 'cool guy' facade, the rootin' tootin' gunslingin' Nephilim, but in reality his walls are nearly has high as Death's. He's just better at not showing them to anyone.
But now he has the security, that you aren't going anywhere and that nothing bad is going to happen. That he finally has you with him. And because of it, the Nephilim conks out like a light the moment he decides to sleep next to you.
Not this time however; As he moves his leg that dangles part way off the bed around and wakes up once again from the in-between space between awake and asleep. You weakly smack his arm.
"Strife, quit moving."
He finally raises his head and looks at you, glaring with his messy, sleepy face. You can't help but compare him to a beloved pet that you wake up from the middle of a deep sleep, frazzled and face scrunched. You can just barely make out a pile of armor and weaponry in the corner of the room behind him, where he'd dumped it the night before.
"Then fix the light issue, Princess." You look up at him, barely able to make out his shapes through the blur of sleep. You fill your cheeks with air to blow a raspberry at him, but he just uses his hand to force the air out with a pinch of your cheeks. It frustrates you, which is always his goal.
"I can't make the sun just go a-"
Suddenly Strife grabs a handful of the blanket and pulls it overtop of both of your heads, covering you completely. And now back in near total darkness apart from the tiniest bit of light bleeding from the top most part of the blanket, Strife resumes his trapping of your body in his limbs, his nose pressing against your cheek. You feel his lips against your skin as he talks.
"There, solved."
It's so warm underneath the blanket, despite the frigid cold weather outside.
But it's not as if you have anywhere you need to go anytime soon. And if you do, it clearly wasn't important enough for you to remember. After terrible your week has been as of yet, you'll gladly forget about all of that for awhile.
Strife clearly smiles against your skin as you sigh and grasp the part of his arm you can reach, wiggling to get comfortable and falling back asleep as the sun continues to rise.

Manager started a notebook and told us to write down what we need to order in the notebook, so I've been doing that.
I add things as I become aware of it being needed.
Today I wrote in something I'd asked for repeatedly (pork BBQ rib patties/McRibs, basically, which I suspect she only saw "BBQ pork" and stopped reading and that's why we have so many tubs of bbq pulled pork in the freezer....) and she was like "Make sure you tell me what you need by Mondays because the order goes in on Tuesday.
I was like "Ok..."
She can just order all that stuff on the next Tuesday... Next... Next week... Does she want me to not write things down UNTIL Monday???? Or write them as the week goes by and I become aware they're needed like I had been??????? Like wh...... The latter is more efficient?
I had asked for that repeatedly? There are 2 left (2 rib patties in a huge box in the freezer.......) and they won't sell by the time Monday rolls around again either way but... I did ask previously for that product.
Like, we stood there and had a conversation about them. We had lots of sub rolls expiring soon, and she had previously said she didn't want to order more rib patties because they weren't selling, so I suggested we put the rib patties into the sub rolls [because we normally slap them on burger buns and they look ridiculous because the bun covers about half the patty in the center and they really should be on sub rolls] and then heat them up and put them in the hot case, because people like to buy them out of the hot case and then be done with them. And she was like "Oh well they kind of took off..." and I was like "That's because I've been putting them in the hot case." They really do sell out of there, but not out of the cold case, and the same goes for the buffalo chicken with pepperjack. No one wants that cold, but when they're warm, people snatch them up.
I........
This week we have one tub of chicken salad that is brand new, I opened it yesterday, it expires today, and I was expected to make tons of little chicken salad sandwiches out of it, but if I do that then I have to throw it all away tomorrow and that seems a waste of bread, which we're always out of. Not that it's the right bread. It's "white wheat" bread which is just bread made with whole wheat flour that's been ground down finely.
She bought some burger buns at a store to make sandwiches with today and they all expire today.
I just.......
How has no one noticed this was happening??????? Like, NO one thought to check expiration dates?????? The past FOUR YEARS?
I'm so confused.
Me checking expiration dates has definitely opened her eyes to some issues, though. She's rearranging sections of the store, now, implementing pseudo-plan-o-grams in places that it's easy to do that like the automotive stuff and paper goods, things that don't move fast, to make reordering things easier, etc. but she's not THERE, yet, and the inventory is still all wrong.
I also saw her drawing a diagram for the Monster energy drinks so she's certainly looking at things a little differently, lately.
I'm still not sure if I can say to her "I know how to set up and manage a micro-warehouse because I have one in my basement. If you set me loose, I can get this all sorted, but everyone has to be on board and maintain the system for it to work and save you lots of trouble and money over time." because she is head strong and it would cost some money, AND she's just Manager. Everything has to pass by Owner, too, and he's not seeming too flexible.
And also that's not my job, my job is "cashier". I'm already doing way more than my job. I get paid $12/hr. That's nothing compared to the amount and variety of work I do. But the kind of person that I am, if given this Thing that needs fixed, omg let me fix it, just like how I've been pulling out fixtures that haven't been moved in ages and cleaning under and behind them and now she has the other employees doing stuff like that later in the day, too.
I am definitely shaking things up in there, and still not sure whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. It's good for the store, certainly, in general. It's bad for the bottom line in the moment because they're suddenly having to liquidate expired stuff left and right because I go find it when I'm bored (all the more reason to not let me get bored, I guess), and that's showing Manager and Owner how inefficient the inventory and ordering is. I'm sure it's frustrating af for the both of them to have someone come in and be like "Wow, all of this is wrong."

going out in public for longer than an hour is such a miserable experience because this country is so hostile to homeless people that any and all accommodations have been stripped away. need to use the restroom? fuck you, you need to buy something and ask the clerk for a password to enter. need to charge your phone in the waiting room of the health center? too fucking bad, they've installed covers over all of them with padlocks so that you can't access them. thirsty and need some water to drink? go fuck yourself, pay $4.50 for a bottle of water from a vending machine, do you think we'd have public water fountains like some "commie dictatorship"? tired and need a place to sit? you should kill yourself for even wanting to take a break, you lazy sack of shit. even if you do decide to go somewhere to pay for any of these basic accommodations, you can't even fucking park there for free. you have to pay $20/hr just to have the opportunity to pay someone for a basic human need.
and the thing about all these anti-homeless measures is that they don't actually implement them to keep homeless people out of public view. you'll still see homeless camps everywhere you look. yes, they make life infinitely harder for homeless people who can't afford to pay for all of these things, but the main goal of all of this is to remind housed people that this is the fate that awaits them if they ever defy the system. while you complain about not being able to use the restroom in public, you can take solace in the fact that you still have a restroom waiting for you at home. but each time you encounter this problem, you're reminded again and again that if you step out of line, if you don't act like the perfect capitalist worker drone that produces the maximum amount of profits for your corporate overlords, homelessness is the fate that awaits you, with all of the hostility and violence that the state will inflict upon you as punishment.
capitalism is an utterly depraved system built on the absolute most vile cruelty any human being could possibly imagine.

How ERP Software for Engineering Companies Improves Operational Efficiency
In today's competitive market, engineering companies are under immense pressure to deliver innovative solutions, maintain cost-efficiency, and meet tight deadlines—all while ensuring the highest standards of quality.  As the engineering industry becomes more complex and digitally driven, operational efficiency has become a key metric for success.  One of the most transformative tools driving this change is ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software.
Tumblr media
For companies seeking to streamline their operations, ERP software for engineering companies provides a centralized platform that integrates every function—ranging from procurement, design, production, finance, HR, and project management.  In India, especially in industrial hubs like Delhi, the demand for such software is growing rapidly.  Let us explore how ERP systems significantly enhance operational efficiency and why choosing the right ERP software company in India is vital for engineering enterprises.
Centralized Data Management:  The Foundation of Efficiency
One of the major challenges engineering companies face is managing vast amounts of data across departments.  Manual entries and siloed systems often lead to redundancies, errors, and miscommunication.  With ERP software for engineering companies in India, organizations gain access to a unified database that connects all operational areas.
Real-time data availability ensures that everyone, from the design team to procurement and finance, is working with the latest information.  This reduces rework, improves collaboration, and speeds up decision-making, thereby increasing efficiency.
Streamlined Project Management
Engineering projects involve numerous stages—from planning and design to execution and maintenance.  Tracking timelines, resources, costs, and deliverables manually or via disparate systems often results in delays and budget overruns.
Modern engineering ERP software companies in Delhi provide robust project management modules that allow firms to plan, schedule, and monitor projects in real time.  This includes milestone tracking, Gantt charts, resource allocation, and budget forecasting.  Managers can gain visibility into bottlenecks early on and reallocate resources efficiently, ensuring timely delivery.
Automation of Core Processes
Automating routine tasks is one of the key advantages of implementing ERP software.  From generating purchase orders and invoices to managing payroll and inventory, ERP eliminates the need for repetitive manual work.  This not only saves time but also minimizes human error.
The best ERP software provider in India will offer customizable automation workflows tailored to the specific needs of engineering companies.  For instance, when a material stock reaches a minimum threshold, the ERP system can automatically generate a requisition and notify the purchasing team.  This ensures zero downtime due to material shortages.
Enhanced Resource Planning and Allocation
Resource planning is crucial in engineering projects where labour, materials, and machinery must be utilized efficiently.  A good ERP software for engineering companies provides detailed insights into resource availability, utilization rates, and project requirements.
By analysing this data, companies can better allocate resources, avoid overbooking, and reduce idle time.  This leads to significant cost savings and ensures optimal productivity across the board.

Integration with CAD and Design Tools
Many ERP solution providers in Delhi now offer integration with design and CAD software.  This is particularly useful for engineering firms where design data is often needed for procurement, costing, and production.
When ERP is integrated with CAD, design changes automatically reflect across related departments.  This seamless flow of information eliminates miscommunication and ensures that downstream processes such as procurement and manufacturing are aligned with the latest design specifications.
Real-time Cost and Budget Management
Keeping engineering projects within budget is a continuous challenge.  Unexpected costs can arise at any stage, and without proper monitoring, they can spiral out of control.  ERP software providers in India equip engineering companies with real-time budget tracking tools.
From initial cost estimation to actual expenditure, companies can monitor every aspect of the financials.  Alerts can be configured for budget deviations, helping management take corrective action promptly.  This financial control is a cornerstone of operational efficiency and long-term profitability.
Improved Compliance and Documentation
Engineering companies must adhere to various compliance standards, certifications, and audit requirements.  Maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails is critical.  ERP systems automate compliance tracking and generate necessary documentation on demand.
By partnering with trusted ERP software companies in Delhi, engineering firms can ensure they meet industry standards with minimal administrative overhead.  Features like document versioning, digital signatures, and compliance checklists help organizations stay audit-ready at all times.
Scalable and Future-ready Solutions
One of the biggest advantages of working with a reputed engineering ERP software company in Delhi is access to scalable solutions.  As engineering businesses grow, their operational complexities increase.  Modern ERP systems are modular and scalable, allowing businesses to add new functionalities as needed without disrupting existing operations.
Moreover, cloud-based ERP solutions offer flexibility, remote access, and lower infrastructure costs.  These are especially beneficial for engineering companies that operate across multiple locations or work on-site with clients.
Enhanced Customer Satisfaction
Efficient operations lead to improved delivery timelines, better quality products, and faster customer service—all of which directly impact customer satisfaction.  With ERP, engineering companies can maintain accurate production schedules, meet delivery deadlines, and respond to customer queries with real-time information.
By choosing the right ERP software for engineering companies in India, firms not only improve internal operations but also build a strong reputation for reliability and professionalism among their clients.
Choosing the Right ERP Partner
With the growing number of ERP solution providers in India, selecting the right partner is crucial.  Here are a few factors to consider:
Domain Expertise:  Choose a vendor with experience in the engineering sector.
Customization:  The software should be tailored to suit your specific workflows.
Scalability:  Ensure the ERP solution grows with your business.
