Sanderson characters are such drama queens. (I'm using "drama queen" to mean any person of any gender as long as they're super dramatic.) Hoid is the obvious one, he's so dramatic that Siri noticed it in Warbreaker. But we also have people like Kelsier, who have this entire monologue to the Lord Ruler in front of hundreds, if not thousands, of people, starting his own religion as a result. We have Hrathen, who makes himself into a spectacle to advertise his religion. And then... Kaladin. He's the king of drama queens. "Honor is dead. But I'll see what I can do." And then he jumps into an arena with FOUR SHARDBEARERS. AND WINS.
Hoid knows he's a drama queen. He's a Lightweaver, they're all pretty dramatic. Kelsier probably knows how dramatic he is. That's probably half the reason he did that monologue. Hrathen's entire reason for the poison was drama. But Kaladin doesn't even try. He just gets these dramatic moments going about his daily life. He doesn't care about causing drama, he cares about helping people. If that means drama, then so be it.

Cosmere Protagonists Who Would Support the Villain...of Other Cosmere Planets
As requested by @asteroidfieldgame :)
Sure, in their own stories the villains are not well-liked by the majority of the cast. But if we took those villains and had them meet protagonists of other Cosmere novels...well, then it might be different, mightn't it?
[Here there be spoilers! I would skip any entry if you're not caught up on all the books for both characters involved!]
1. Moash: Supported by Kelsier
Kelsier: [holding Moash protectively ala that one meme with Kevin Hart] Kelsier: My boy Moash has LITERALLY never done anything wrong ever! Kelsier: Ooooh, did he kill his oppressors? Is he mean to poor helpless nobility? Did someone Rich experience a Consequence? Moash: (mumbling) I did try to drive my friend to suicide. Kelsier: Shh...baby boy, it's okay! Kelsier: I made my disciple advocate for old people to kill themselves with spikes to preserve their power! Kelsier: You're literally fine.
2. Odium: Supported by Harmony
Harmony: Listen, I'm not saying I agree with everything Odium does. Harmony: But making it so that you have a planet of mighty, battle-hardened residents to prepare for the coming Cosmere-wide conflict? Harmony: Sometimes I wonder if I should have done something more like that. Harmony: Instead of giving everyone an easy life and making giraffes because giraffes are neat. Odium: Have you considered...battle giraffes? Harmony: Please don't patronize me.
3. Hrathen: Supported by Ellista (that one Ardent who was really into romance novels)
Ellista: I am not immune to a handsome man in bloodred armor with a troubled past whose hard, mean exterior is slowly worn away through love. Ellista: A man who chooses love--unrequited love!--over his own god! Ellista: Problematic for an Ardent like me, but so, so compelling. Ellista: (sighs dreamily) Hrathen: ... Hrathen: Could I have someone else's support please?
4. Riina [from Tress]: Supported by Wayne
Wayne (counting off reasons on his fingers): One, if you're gonna be the sort to be giving out curses, giving out breakable curses makes you less of an unforgivable villain and more of a garden-variety dick. Wayne: Two, rats are cute. Makin' someone a rat is better 'n' making them a grub or something. Wayne: Three, and most importantly, her penis spaceship is hilarious. Riina: IT WAS NOT A PENIS SPACESHIP
5. The Lord Ruler: Supported by Dalinar
Dalinar: I suppose I am simply more aware than most that being a king is hard and can involve less-than-ideal-choices. Dalinar: And didn't he essentially become immortal while trying to cage an evil god and save his planet? I am literally setting myself up to maybe experience that as we speak. Dalinar: I know he took an entire population and made them slaves, but I did tell Jasnah not to free our slaves so, like... Dalinar: ... Dalinar: Maybe Wit was right. Maybe I AM a tyrant. Wit: You've never done an enforced breeding program with humans, though. That I know of. The Lord Ruler did that! Like, a lot! Dalinar: ... Dalinar: Wait I want to mitigate my support a little.
6. Taravangian: Supported by Shai
Shai: That Diagram of his...well, it's pure art, isn't it? Shai: I'm not immune to the appeal of incredibly complex and well-researched plans turned into an artistic representation so beautiful that it attracts worshippers. Taravangian: It's really more science than it is art, I'd say. Shai: Hilarious that you think those things are different.
7. Nale: Supported by Marasi
Marasi: He knows the law and follows the law. Marasi: Don't think it would ever occur to him that someone could be quote unquote "above" the law. Marasi: That makes him better than, like, quite a lot of my coworkers.
8. The Machine [from Yumi and the Nightmare Painter]: Supported by Vasher
Vasher: Obviously a soul-eating machine that nearly destroys a planet and turns people into nightmares is not ideal. Vasher: But it's not the machine's fault it was given an ill-considered Command. Vasher: Hey! Bald guy! Wanna gentle-parent the machine too? Szeth: Uh
9. Raboniel: Supported by Elend
Elend: Not for nothing am I chair of the Support Women's Wrongs fanclub. Elend: Nor can I fail to support a Woman in Science. Basic feminism. Elend: And although I know my bar is on floor, a parent who will do anything to save their child from eternal suffering gets me right here. (points to his heart)
10. Straff: Supported by...no one
Straff: ... Straff: ... Straff: OH COME ON

Elantris is criminally underrated in the cosmere fandom. Hrathen is such a badass and Raoden's character arc is beautiful.
And AonDor is such an epic magic system. Literally cutting into the spiritual realm to access the dead bodies of gods??

7 - seethe I didn’t feel like drawing spores, so instead I wondered which cosmere character was the most seething. And decided to go with Dilaf. Sceptical Hrathren on the side.

Okokok, I just finished Elantris and I loved it so much. The story was so interesting and the characters were so loveable. I just think I'd like to see a little bit more of Galladon, but the story was so good and I really enjoyed it. I've already mentioned this but Raoden is now one of my favourite Cosmere characters, he was just so cute and pure and lovely. Sarene was also a great character, and at the end I even started liking Hrathen. Overall I think it was great, I'm really excited to read The hope of Elantris and The Emperor's soul and I hope I'll love them as much as I loved Elantris.

The thing is that Hrathen’s love language is power struggle, so to me it makes perfect sense that he’s in love with both Sarene and Dilaf.

I kinda feel like the Fjordell would look at the Alethi and be like. Hey guys, how about you cool it a bit with all this war stuff?
I mean, how about that infrastructure? Maybe tighten up your whole governmental structure to something beyond a loose confederacy of dunces? Have you considered a totalitarian theocrac--ohh, ok, you have.
Imagine Hrathen having to navigate this society. He's read the Svordish sagas! He'd be trying to court the highprinces, sell them on his MLM, only to start talking about books and junk and all the Alethi would gasp in unison. Oh, what if he decided to learn how to read Alethi and become all well-read, oblivious to how scandalous he's being (well, he is some kind of foreign ardent, so maybe it's OK?), then try to engage an Alethi Fancylad in book-talk?
Hrathen would break Alethi society.

Last Line Game
Rules: in a new post, show the last line you wrote (or drew) and tag as many people as there are words (or as many as you feel like).
Thank you @chaos-monkeyy for the tag! I nearly forgot about doing it though, so oops my bad 😆
I've been working on an Elantris fan fic
Hrathen had spent his entire adult life cultivating his persona to be intimidating and now he needed to figure out how to not look so goddamned threatening all the time.
Okay so I'll tag @cosmereplay @truthwatcher-vez @knight-of-skyloft @eve-is-obsessed @trainofcommand
No pressure of coarse and if anyone I didn't tag wants to do it please feel free!

Cosmere Characters: Should They Be At The Club?
As I think I've mentioned, I write these lists a couple months in advance, usually. So I don't know if the great "They should be at the club!" meme is still going strong, or if people will see this and be all, "Bah! That's SO 2023!" But eh.
So anyway, should Cosmere characters be at the club?
1. Dalinar
Dalinar should not be at the club. Dalinar would not understand the club, and he would not like the club.
2. Sadeas
Weirdly, I think Sadeas would understand the club better than Dalinar would, but he still should not be there. Sadeas's presence would make the club worse, no matter how fashionable he is.
3. Tress
Tress was only eighteen! She should have been at the club, although the club would probably be less exciting than her life at sea.
4. MeLaan
MeLaann is only, uh, thousands of years old (I think) but she should ABSOLUTELY be at the club. She would love the club, and the club would love her too.
5. Rlain
Has Rlain ever NOT been having a tough time? He deserves a wild night at the club with Renarin, and I'm sticking with that.
6. Vivenna
Vivenna was only twenty-two when she was supposed to be sent to marry the god-king. Yes, she should have been at the club instead. She would hate it, though. She would hate it so much.
7. Painter
Painter should get to be at a club lurking in a corner, drinking vodka on the rocks because it sounds tough and wishing it didn't taste so much like rubbing alcohol.
8. Hoid
Hoid should not be at the club. He's very old and also, no one at the club would be able to hear what he was saying and that would make Hoid sad.
9. Demoux
Demoux was in his early twenties when Kelsier's rebellion was going on. He 100% should have been at the club instead. He's named after a friend of Brandon's and Brandon said he'd survive and "get a girl" apparently and those are both things that can happen at a club.
10. Lift
Lift should not be at the club. Isn't she like 13? That's too young for the club.
11. Kaladin
Kaladin should be at the club. Adolin will have to drag him there, though, and he will spend much of the time looking glowery.
12. Ulaam
Ulaam should not go to the club because drunk people cannot consent to giving up their body parts (even after death) and Ulaam knows that and it would make him sad to see all of those beautiful elbows or what-not and not even be able to ASK for them.
13. Sebarial
Sebarial should not be at the club--he should be home drinking with Palona. He would own clubs, though, if he could.
14. Hrathen
Hrathen should not be at the club. He would definitely kill the vibe.
15. Szeth
Szeth is like 35 years old. He should not be at the club. He should be wrapped in a warm blanket and placed somewhere quiet, peaceful.
16. Moash
Yes--at any point in the narrative you can look at what Moash is going through and say, "Would it be better for him to be at the club right now?" and the answer is always yes.

If you're still doing the headcanons, hrathen? My favorite large man in the cosmere
if hrathen ever learned about the shards, especially devotion and dominion being dead, he would have an even larger crisis of faith than he already did. it's probably best that this didn't happen
