In a Humanstuck scenario, which Trolls do you think should be siblings, if any?

I think Karkat&Kanaya should be siblings (Kanaya older) and Equius&Nepeta should be step-siblings. Unsure of how I feel about making the Scourge Sisters literal.

OK my thoughts are all over the place but I’ll continue. Humanstuck Erisol means that Eridan and Sollux have different customs, cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs. there’s a bunch of new layers that don’t really exist in Alternia or that are at least very different from how they work in our world

For starters they have different economic levels which shapes their views on lots of things, influences their personalities and how they act towards others. to me one of Sollux’s turns off about Eridan is definitely the way he can be about money, they fight about that a lot, you know it. Eridan doesn’t understand why he gets so upset about how he spends his money on himself or others, and he hates Sollux’s cheap lifestyle and how he can never seem to accept a gift.

Sollux hates how Eridan doesn’t get it and what he represents as a whole, a big reason as to why he didn’t like him at first. (Eridan is very handsome but unbearable, ((of course)) and his hatred for Eridan overshadowed his feelings of attraction.)

Sollux comes from a middle class family of immigrants, so he’s been raised very differently from Eridan. And that’s just another thing, their families don’t approve of their relationship (Alas, for different reasons) If they ever get to the point of introducing each other to their family, it becomes another problem because approval means and takes different shapes for them.

As for Eridan’s family, (aka, his parents) they don’t care about Eridan’s sexuality or anyone’s for that matter, but they care about who he dates. And they don’t think Sollux is the best catch out there.

Eridan loves his family even if they don’t get along, yes, and he likes their approval and affection, yes, but he doesn’t give a shit about what they have to say about how he lives his life. And that’s fine, because Orphaner and Mindfang don’t give a damn about how their kids live their lives either, not really. Sollux is the issue to them, but fine, they can live with it. They are just not thrilled about it.

On the other hand, Sollux’s parents obviously don’t approve of his relationship, mainly because they don’t particularly approve of him being bisexual in the first place. And very deep down, Sollux is ashamed. His parent’s approval means something to him, somewhat.

Eridan can’t believe that Sollux cares about such a thing, but they are just different.

I totally feel like this takes a toll on Sollux specifically because Eridan is the first guy he likes (for which he also hates him when he realizes this) and it’s hard because he feels like maybe he’s getting carried away by him.

anyway those are my very. normal thoughts about them. or whatever

For that one ask before, some of my Humanstuck headcanons! I tend to encompass a lot of different ones since people have such great ideas, so a lot of them are pretty interchangeable. A lot of my main hcs revolve around the characters I play, which I'll probably be making more posts involving them later! For now there's the Vantases.

One of the hcs I adore are the family ones, like where the Signless and Disciple meet each other after Kankri and Meulin are born. They have Nepeta and Karkat together! The Maryams also act like siblings to the Vantases and Leijons, but are more like childhood friends due to the found family aspect the Dolorosa and Signless have.

There's so much to discuss though! I love love love Humanstuck stuff

Humanstuck hc: Eridan actually has a white spot in his hair and it goes down to some of his lashes and brows, you can only tell if he's not wearing makeup // also Sol with blue and brown eyes, tho I made it yellow here
