It was quite late already, when Emma came home from a long day at the studio. She had only just arrived, when suddenly, she heard the baby crying upstairs. Quickly, she went to check on him, only to find him all alone in his room, when Niall was supposed to be looking after him.

The dull sound of glass falling onto carpet followed by a louder thump drew her attention away for a moment, unsure what just happened in the other room. With Louis in her arms, Emma made her way next door, where she found her husband trying to pick himself off the floor. It seemed as though he tripped and fell, while holding a glass and bottle in hand.

In hopes of offering some comfort, Emma sat down next to a quietly sobbing Niall. To him, however, any sign of comfort was still far away. He had been on edge for days, maybe weeks at this point, only calming down the slightest amount when numbing his brain with alcohol. Now, there was no excuse to keep that from his wife any longer. And while Emma was not exactly able to understand the way he felt and why, she would do anything to help him, since he clearly had trouble all by himself.

So @queer-prosekai told me to do my own top 10 list of the sets + my favorite card of each, so here's some rules i set for myself

1- i have to REALLY like the full set, not just really like a card but a little less to the others (cough Saki in no seek no find, for one example. Though other sets have also triggered this rule)

2- i also am judging by card only, not the story, however. I am not completely good at this because a lot of the cards that are already good get to be way better because of the event behind it.

3- only counting the trained cards, not untrained, it would be a very different list.

ANYWAYS. LIST STARTS NOW:

10: LIGHT UP THE FIRE

Oh my poor child are you okay??? Going past how much i like this event. Which would get me here writing for hours mind you. I also just really like the set. The dark colors and the fact that in all 3 cards you can barely see color- its black and then each has their own color showing up, An has red, Toya has blue and Rin has white. It just gives a fucking impact on you looking at them. Would not change a thing, really.

9: WISHING TO THE BLUE SKY FOR YOUR HAPPINESS

Anyone else remembers qhen this set just totally broke us? Oh my god. I do. Shizuku in a suit. An in this pretty ass dress. I just cjsjcjsmcjsncjdj. It was mainly those two that really hit for me, specially An. But when it hit it hit hard man

It was the first lim set, so it was really simple compared to what we get now. But simple doesn't mean bad. I really love the colors and idk man i have a soft spot for it i cant defend everything my brain is a dvd logo bouncing around😭

Angel Minori is one of the prettiest sets ever, it just isnt higher because personally i like some others more, doesn't mean this shit isnt fucking gorgeous. The lightning, the setting. I love this mmj card with everyone in it bc this is such a beautiful place???? Just. Licks this set like an ice cream then cries bc i ate the pretty ass set.

6: Someday, from the depths of despair

Lowkey i did not expect this one to be this high before i made this list. But it is just gorgeous setting, gorgeous lightning. It just makes my brain go brrrr looking at it.

5- What lies behind lies ahead

The hermit set has people in a chokehold for years, and for good reason. The hairstyles are pretty, the au ideas one can get out of it are yummy. AND THE CARD THEMSELVES ARE SO CKSJFKDK. All of them having this golden thing around as if hermit was a story told to us by images. It just could be a poster. Its certainly pretty enough to.

4: Our escape for survival

Sorry for the amount of niigo here. It will happen again. Niigo never misses. Anyways i just love this set sm. The lightning, muffled colors and backgrounds just hit so fucking hard. The rain shared on the 3 cards from the set is so symbolical and so is the clock and the engines on Mafuyu's and Luka's card. It tells us a story before we even read the event and that is beautiful.

3: Close game offline

I had to skip this set and i am still sad about it. Man the the the cmsucksjcjx aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa viddygame and neon.

Now you were leaving him.

“Diluc, I cannot under any circumstances miss this opportunity! They’re offering me a trip to the Sumeru Akademiya, all expenses paid!”

“Oh really? Is that frivolous Akademiya more important to you than I?”

He left certainly more quickly than he came.

Tears were streaming down your face, yet his were concealed by the pouring rain.

To address the most pressing part first, YES ABoT is continuing. I've just been having like a huge amount a life-changes happening since October and I need to just land on my feet before I'll be able to continue ABoT in the way it deserves. It's planned! It's drafted! And damn I wish I coulda put out this chapter while s3 was airing but I just needed more time.

(You're definitely not pressuring me! I just wanna let you know it's absolutely continuing. Just IRL things have taken precedence for now.)

And ah, gaahhhh... yeah being in the mp100 fandom back in 2017 was... well not good... I came under a lot of fire for ABoT, and that was the reason for the almost 3 year hiatus... It messed with my confidence a whole whole lot. But after bringing ABoT back from hiatus in 2020, which pulled in a lot of new readers, I did not get a single brand new accusation of being Problematic. And the way I figure, if ABoT were truly problematic, new readers would be able to see that, yeah? The callouts should have started anew from the new people. But that didn't happen. It was only ever a close-knit group of big-names in the 2017 fandom who just decided ABoT was the thing to target....

I'm really glad that's ancient history now. I am still continuing ABoT! And the reason for the hiatus now is just IRL stuff which is slowly starting to settle out, and will hopefully let me get back into the mindspace to actually focus on ABoT and do it justice.

okay so the thing i'm looking forward the most isn't even so them related, but i cANT FUCKING WAIT to have @king-krisu @khihi and @pitchefkes over at our place with @wednesdayday for almost a week like I LOVE THEM SO MUCH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA... and then i cant wait to hear padam live because thats such a beautiful song and yeah sure, if im gonna get to meet nace/jan at the end ill be super happy but im not really counting on it, i feel like ive already been so lucky with meeting jere, so im never complaining about anything ever
