so a i was having my daily good omens thoughts yesterday (you would assume i would've stopped by now) and i was thinking specifically about the "our car" scene. i won't be able to describe my thoughts with extreme accuracy because i didn't have time to stop and write it down in the moment, but here it is:

aziraphale has so much. even after leaving heaven. he has his bookshop with all os his books and trinkets in it, he has his magic tricks, his vinyls, all his friends and acquaintances and, most importantly, his crowley. crowley who doesn't have anything. not anymore. he only has his plants and his car, in which he currently lives. he gave it all up for his freedom --for their freedom. for aziraphale. his fancy apartment and his alphabetically organized cd collection and his astronomy books... he's lost all of it. so when agrees so fast to aziraphale proposing the idea that the bentley is not just his anymore, it's just him giving up one more final thing to be with aziraphale. it's natural. he loves him. he would do anything for him.

and that btw makes crowley telling aziraphale "you can't leave this bookshop" in episode 6 ultimately more devastating to me.

this is no big revelation but it really was stuck in my brain and i had to get it out good omens brainrot is real even 7 months later

Currently reading The Winter Soldier Cold Front. Bucky and Gimlet made reference to the Ritz and danced to A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and I can't stop thinking about those tragic little gay men (not really) with their divorce with these references.
