POLYPHEMUS IS SO SCARY I LOVE IT . ALSO IM TELLING YOU ODYSSEUS LEARNED THOSE NEGOTIATION TACTICS FROM POLITIES [polyphemus + survive]

the complete silence after odysseus reveals his name . no triumphant music no cheers NOTHIJG just the creaking of the ship . and knowing that polyphemus is supposed to just Stare at the crew w his bloody gory eye and a smile ......... god fucking damn [remember them]

Cavere' had always dreamt of being in the academy. She had so many talents she couldnt explain, but she could never activate. Then finally the day arrived for her to go into the academy. "Go on, honey, ill miss you." Her mother said before pushing both her and her brother out the door. "Have fun!" At the academy she met 4 different other kids. "Each of you, will be put on a squad of four. Your mission here, is to learn your different skills. Everyone is different. Just because you dont get it at first, doesnt mean, you wont get it ever. Patience." The kids nodded, before going to their rooms. "Wow. Look at the size of this place." "Ah... Glad you all enjoy it. I have to have a few words with all of you." They lidtened intently. "What, sincy said out there was true. She left out the part where you all need to get split up. Things wilk be tough at first. But i have faith in all of you." At dinner 20 of the kids ate and chatted each getting aquainted with each other. The master came out in a very curt suit. They had very short hair and addressed everyone by name. "Ive been informed of your differences. But here, you will learn to harness  Those differences and work together. Times will be tough." They began almost immediately. Except cavere' wasnt picking it up and on the sixth day she had gotten their squad leader , Todd, seriously injured. "Agh, lay off! It wasnt her fault." Black turtleneck Crus had developed a weapon, he thought could secretly damage Daniel. "Hey, Danny! Look at this knife!" Daniel rolled his eyes at the nickname. If it was anything, Crus was the idiot in this household, and not their third brother. "My name is Daniel. You may not address me otherwise." Daniel's eyes traveled to the obviously poorly crafted sword in Cruss' hands. "That is made out of iron. It will not kill." "I wasnt trying to kill no one..." Crus said trailing off. His eyes flicked to the sword. He felt it was patchy at best.. But he thought he had done pretty well! "I was going to look to wound people.." "You know this tournament will be horribly tough. And not all will make it out alive. We are immune to iron. You shouldve made it out of metal." Crus glared at his younger brother. "Who do you think you are, anyway?!" He yelled. "Youre my little brother for christ sake!" If Daniel was hurt by Crus's outburst, the air around him showed no evidence of it. "I was merely giving you info. It wont be my fault when you end up in a grave. That knife looks like a sword. And youre weak. You cant handle it." "Ill show you what i can handle. Get out of my room. Go bother Breyso" Crus growled. Daniel stood up and left the room, not showing any sign of anger. It made Crus so angry! Why was he so fucking calm all the time? In the face of danger. In the face of father. When he found out about their mother. When Daniel had fallen from the tree that one day. Crus had jumped down to help. His leg was broken and his wrist was twisted. "Go." Daniel said, eerily calm. That was the day he decided Daniel, wasnt normal. A tear brimmed his eye, making him feel weak.  His brother Breyso, had it worse than him.  Crus had not always been blind, but very poorly sighted. It prevented him from doing thinggs to the very best, and one day while fighting with his brother an accident occurred. Daniel hit him in the back of the head making Crus fall to the ground. When he tried to open his eyes, he was faced with white. Complete white. He had really panicked. And when they had gone to the doctor she had pronounced him blind. "You must, do something for my son! Without his sight he cannot... Cant.. Do.. Any.." He trailed off when he glanced at a hurt looking Crus. "Im sorry, Saryr. We cant do anything. Any healers wont get near him. They havent seen anything like it." Saryr had spent the night drinking in his wooden chair behind the table. It was a frenzy that night. Daniel had gone to face his father's cries. "Father. Is everything up to par." He said in the same voice he always used. Although there was something strange there. Crus widened his now almost always open eyes. He had not seen what Daniel's facial expression was... But he could damn well hear! And fucking great too! He heard confusion. Father growled for Daniel to come closer. Daniel's footsteps, screamed hesitation, but his heart hitched go on. "You... Youve brought this on us!!!" He roared, in a weary slurred voice. "It was an accident." "I should make it even!! An eye for an eye!" He yelled. Daniel's heart hammered against his chest. "But.. Thats... Too late. You already..." He began before he put the bottle to his lips. He threw the bottle to the ground in rage and grabbed Daniel's wrist. "Youre.. My greatest prize." He shoved Daniel and he stumbled to the floor. "Get... Out of my sight." He yelled, but the rage had drained into dull anger. Daniel's heart still beat hard in his chest but he stood up with composure and assuredness. Father's position had changed from sitting to almost leaning. "Yes. As you wish." Daniel replied before walking to his room. His confident stride had been torn into a shaky walk. Crus did not believe his senses! Daniel had actually been scared? For once he wasnt completely calm...
