that moment where in fearful symmetry where adaine tried to control her panic attack and ends up outside the forest effects me more than anything else in the whole show
like just that moment of absolute dread when she realise she’s (inadvertently) abandoned her friends and ‘given up’ just fucking destroys me
it’s just how adaines whole arc is about overcoming her anxiety and learning to be brave and she’s finally got a handle on it and then brennan uses that against her in the worst way possible and siobhan played that moment so perfectly it just never fails to make me cry
(also as a side note fig taking the time to pick up adaine a medication, just in case adaine isn’t able to get it for herself later, is just the most heartwarming thing i love her so much)

I haven't heard anything about how absolutely STUNNING the names from Scavenger Rein are. Like Ursula? Azi? Levi? Sam? Fiona? Kamen? Berry? All so unique and also so familiar at the same time? While attributing to each character so well??? I'm SICK

Kristoff Lullaby - s3 ep8 "Let It Go"
Love this song with my whole heart, should probably listen to the original version eventually, but I'm happy living with the HSMTMTS one for now.
Gina & Ricky were the absolute perfect choices for Anna/Kristoff, and I'll stand by that for as long as I live. Ricky singing 'Kristoff Lullaby" was peak, and fit his feelings at the time so well, that it's impossible to imagine him not being casted as Kristoff.
If they did one more season, I would've loved for them to do 'Tangled'. Ricky as Eugene just seems right y'know? Plus him and Gina singing "I See The Light" would've made me sob /pos

I dont feel bad for EJ either 😭 idk why but like he keeps going after girls insecure or hurting after some mess with ricky. And then puts them through the ringer in a worse relationship. Like my boy. Stop being in relationships 2k forever.
100% agree with every thing you said 😭😭😭
This is going to turn into a little bit of a rant so read at your own risk lol.
Literally EJ keeps going after girls after they feel rejected by Ricky and they are in vulnerable places (e.g. Nini after Ricky didn't say I love you and Gina feeling like her feelings weren't reciprocated). It's like he swoops in for them and I don't think its intentional but I do think it's weird that his two main relationships in the show started that way.
Also it's like he is so desperate to be in a relationship (Jason Earles I'm talking to you when I say this), but he is the one who goes from girl to girl. Let's not forget Valentine's Day when he literally said he had never spent a Valentine's Day without a girlfriend. Maybe instead of jumping into a relationship with Gina he should have worked on himself. Because this 'character development' that pw fans keep talking about I just don't see it.
Another thing that really is bothering me about EJ is that he continually snipes at Ricky about the woods thing (which they invited him to 😵‍💫) but also continually asks Ricky for advice about Gina. Now that part is just unbelievable to me - he is seriously going to keep asking the person who slapped him over Gina for relationship advice... instead of you know talking to Gina.
Plus while I get that directing the camp musical is stressful there is really no excuse for the way he has been treating Gina this season. And honestly, in my opinion, the relationship is all about EJ - especially with fans of the ship. Example - their only meaningful conversation (and I'm being generous calling it meaningful) in season 2 was all about EJ and Gina lifting EJ up when he didn't want to go to Duke. Then, in the season 2 finale EJ makes her feel horrible and undeserving of love by rejecting her. This scene has always made my blood boil because he cut her out as soon as he didn't think he would get what he wants from her.
Fast forward to s3 and every conversation the two have he makes about himself - Gina wants to talk about getting Anna and being excited, well no can't talk about that we have to talk about how he is freaking out about being director. Gina wants to spend time with EJ in the woods - no he's too busy, but not busy enough to embarrass her in front of all their friends and make out she's doing something wrong with Ricky. Gina specifically tells him she doesn't want to talk about the future and EJ goes on a rant about how the play needs to be successful for his future. Then finally, despite EJ being the one who should be grovelling, Gina (with the help of Ricky 😢) sets up an elaborate promposal and what does he do? He rejects her. Literally don't even understand this rule - why couldn't he just go there separately with her? Plus - if Maddox and Madison broke up at the prom last year, I would presume they went together. In which case - is this even a rule?
Honestly, the way that his fans treat Gina frankly disgusts me - like yesterday I went to the tag for a few minutes and saw someone saying that 'Gina didn't receive anything EJ said to her' - putting all the blame on her, when from where I sit (val voice) Gina has done nothing wrong. I think that most pws are Gina haters - do you know how many people I see who say they like Gina... but only in 2B? It's insane because 2B is the worst for me as a Gina fan - she lost her agency and spunk and she was basically a shell of herself who existed to try and prop up EJ.
My last point is that pws love to try and say that EJ shows up for Gina and my question to them is - when? Because the only time I can think of is the stupid granola bar (which is just a weird scene imo). If I really stretch I could say the fake dating part, but to me that's a no - because Gina didn't need to be saved. When she isn't around EJ she is perfectly capable of handling herself and she could have simply said 'no' to the random North High guy. It's always Gina who is doing the work in the relationship. Gina being his sounding board. Gina doing the morning show with him because no one else agreed. It is always Gina showing up for EJ and he never bothers to do so for her.

All Creatures Great and Small series three episode two - what a riotous ride! New dynamics rise and changes are brewing, but the underlying familiarity remains. There is always that wonderful degree of thoughtfulness and wholesomeness, even when times are uncertain and the waters of changing relationships are difficult to tread. Ridiculousness mingled with awkwardness and anxiety, and a decent amount of hilarity. I cannot wait to see what lies in store for our beloved characters next 💕 x

forever thinking about johanna shooting fogg and what it says for both her and anthony as characters
because the whole show, from the very first scene, we've been set up to see anthony and sweeney as parallels of one another; anthony is sweeney back when he was benjamin, he's full of hope, he's in love (with a woman who looks almost identical to lucy), and then he gets that love brutally ripped away by judge turpin
in 'no place like london' sweeney says: "you are young, life has been kind to you-- you will learn" and by the point in the show where anthony is going to rescue johanna we're almost inclined to agree with him
except anthony cannot shoot the gun, he's not like sweeney in that he cannot kill another person even if it was to save someone he loved. anthony is never going to become sweeney todd.
and then we realize that we've been looking at the wrong person the whole show, and it's so obvious it's laughable: johanna shoots the gun.
johanna who has been raised to be silent and obedient and perfect, johanna who, without knowing the half of it, has had everything taken away from her by judge turpin, her mother, her father, and her freedom. johanna who we've been led to believe is the lucy to anthony's sweeney.
she is fully justified in shooting fogg, no one could fault her for it, but she doesn't even hesitate.
in that moment she is her father's daughter.
that isn't to say that I think johanna is going to go on a killing spree after the musical, obviously, but it's such a fascinating scene in terms of their development: because despite it all anthony is still the same, and because of it all johanna is not
anthony is the last bit of hope left in the story, and johanna is the last bit of sweeney

i love how this week’s rwby beyond episode talks about not just finding the positives in a bad situation, but also about remembering what makes all that suffering worth it. jaune is urged to recall the good times, and the people he’s fighting for, and the love he feels for them.
and this is the EXACT ideology that makes a silver-eyed warrior so powerful. that love and desire to protect and auauhhhhhghhhhh my god the jaune and ruby foils never cease

the saddest thing about Luke betraying them is that he was a traumatized kid who was taken advantage of. He was lied to and told that there would be a better world. Kronos was fueling his hate against the gods and using Luke’s grudges against Hermes to make him think was doing the right thing, hurting people he loved in the process

Dazai constantly puts up a facade. he wants people to take him at face value, because to look even a little bit deeper means they'll see just how much pain he's in. he uses humor as a means to help construct his facade
Fyodor, for all his intellect, can't see past Dazai's facade because that's all he sees. he sees the intellect, the superiority, and sees himself reflected back at him
Chuuya sees the facade, knows it's a front, and sees the person underneath. it makes him angry, because he wants Dazai to be honest about his own needs
Fyodor is a monster and what Dazai thinks he is. Chuuya is a human who thinks he's a monster and that's what Dazai is
