Oh and one thing I keep forgetting to mention when Scarab's humanity keeps getting brought up is that humanity isn't even something she wants. She just wants to stop being a weapon. Humanity is nothing but constricting to the cicaderations, and Scarab is still a cicaderation! She doesn't want to have to perform and adhere to humanity. Yee's much happier just being a bug. Yee just doesn't want to be treated like shit for it.

So I think I should connect this to another thought I had because it kinda works- Would not be surprised if this has been said before but here I go anyway

Winx really had this obsession with attempting to raise the stakes and whatnot, right? Which they kept doing. The people they fought were always stronger than the last, how horribly inconvenient omg. But the problem with that is that people will simply not believe it, you can only suspend your disbelief for so long bestie :((

Kalshara and Brafilius were not more powerful than Valtor, Acheron would not be able to beat Darkar. Stop it. Stop lying to them and stop lying to me. And y'know what? This is completely fine! It just starts becoming a problem when you deny it and perform some very impressive mental gymnastics to make it work, especially when there's such an easy fix for this!!

Along with raising the stakes, Winx had situational power-ups/transformations. While Charmix and Enchantix were also situational in a way, they were also steps in reaching their final fairy level. They actually got stronger as their foes did, the stakes were being raised properly, this was fine and not nearly as outrageous as some other examples. But ohnoooo we still have more seasons to make and they have already reached their final fairy form, what should we do???

Should we sneakily introduce a level after that and shit all over Enchantix? Nobody would mind right??

So this is where things started going wrong!!

See, what they could've done was fully accept that post season 3/first movie, transformations became FULLY situational. It wasn't necessarily about growing as a fairy anymore, they had to gain certain powers to help them in certain battles. Believix to beat the Black Circle, Sirenix to beat Tritannus, Butterflix for whatever the furries had going on idk I didn't watch that season-

In a way they did do this, which was good! You do need this specific thing for this specific task!! Again, the problem returns when you try to convince people the transformations are more powerful than their last, that shouldn't be the point of them.

Would they have been able to defeat Valtor with Sirenix? Hot take, I don't think they should. It simply doesn't vibe in my fantasy <3

Which season truly started the 'situational only' thing is kinda debated sometimes, some people say season 4, some bold people say season 5, even bolder people say post season 5- But I think it's generally agreed upon that by season 6 and 7 it was not about stakes like season 1-3 anymore. Except for that one person who kept trying to make Duman fight Kalshara, I see you in court actually.

Anyway, in season 8 they brought back several transformations, I didn't watch season 8 either so I don't know the reason for it. Regardless of what they chose, because it was introduced so late it feels more like a "Hey look guys! Transformations you know! They're back! Guys please??" instead of them just switching between situational forms like they should have been doing from season 4 onwards, where the form switching should have been at least brought up. Season 4. I'll give you season 5 as wiggle room because they got 2 new forms in that one.

These were some 2am thoughts, my wrist has fallen asleep in the middle of it so I hope I got my main point across! Throwing this in my queue and I'm gonna sleep till noon maybe bye <3

i feel like a lot of the 'i hate kids' crowd would be more tolerant if they understood that due to a kid's limited experience of the world that 4 hour flight might just be the longest they've ever had to sit still for or that trapped finger might literally be the most pain they've ever felt in their short life or they might not have ever seen a person with pink hair ever so of course they want to touch it or nobody's told them yet that they can't run around the museum and they only just learned cheetahs are the fastest animals so of course they want to put that to the test. how were they supposed to know etc etc.

they should invent a new type of "staying in bed for 2-3 hours after you wake up repeatedly opening and closing apps on your phone" where it makes you feel awesome and energized and emotionally fulfilled
