Talia even being called an assassin gives me the ick because when she was first introduced she hated killing, felt immense guilt the few times she had to, and most of the time if it looked like she killed someone it turned out to be anaesthesia or a tranquilizer or something. Like she was literally studying to be a doctor when her and Bruce met and she was based off of the stereotypical Bond Girl because it was the 70's. Like I know it's basically her entire character now that she's an "assassin mom" or whatever but that was not who she was intended to be and I hate how it's done most of the time because it's ALWAYS a way to point and say "look at the evil brown woman! She's a cold blooded killer who forced/passively allowed her son to kill as well! It's a good thing that the feral brown boy is now with his good white family so he can learn the value of life and art and how to exist in civil society!" And it's actually really pissing me off. You guys don't even read a characters introduction comic before you start writing the same regurgitated nonsense steeped in racism and misogyny. Damian's whole character as it stands is basically character assassination for Talia and in order for me to be able to engage with him he'd have to be entirely rewritten.

yay! I drew these quite literally three years ago. dragonheart!milo and raihan! a knight on a doomed dragon hunt being lifted out of his station by a small village medicine man. together they become magic lawyers and overthrow the government
the main details in these do survive into the iterations I’ve drawn (instead of these actual designs I spent time to make el oh el): the “leaf” diamond quilt/gambeson and the plaited coattail for milo, the “atypical” weapons, long coat, and large number of scattered fake gold trims and accessories for raihan. I think I lost raihan the hat and added a cape for milo further down the line because like this their general silhouettes are too similar for my liking lol

Barriss: "You understand...Miralans live for centuries. I will look almost exactly the same by the time your body starts to fail. I don't even know if you'll live long enough to witness my Midlife Crisis."
Ahsoka: "No, I can't die."
Barriss: "Ahsoka, someday, everyone has to--"
Ahsoka: "No, I mean I literally Cannot Die. I was given the life force of a divine being from another dimension while in a realm beyond time, and though I grew up to an adult, my montrals and lekku haven't striped a day past thirty since I was, well, thirty. And with all the stuff that's tried to kill me and failed, I don't see any surprises coming along, so, yeah. It looks like I'll be around forever."
Barriss: "....."
Ahsoka: "...it's weird for you to think about this from the other side, isn't it?"
Barriss: "Just a little."

Okay so I feel like that if my men Odysseus and Hector ever interacted (in a not-enemy way) they would have the energy of "two dads in the tool section of a shop". One would see the other checking out a drill and he would be like "hey that's actually pretty bad, not a good investment man". Then they would spend a solid 30 minutes talking about the different tools they use. They would bond. Immediate bros. And then they leave and like never interact again

the fact that in your fic, jay before loosing his memories was fighting craglings in the realm of madness and then ended up staying in the adminstration
which canonically also turned out to be in the realm of madness 👀
Fr I swear my reaction when Zane said that was "Sure, that makes a lot of sense" to then think about this drawing I did a few months ago
Long story short, the time Jay was hit in the head really hard twice and ended up electrocuting himself by accident.

Odypen definitely and equivalently adore each other BUT I weirdly can't see them as the type to actually say "I Love you".
They still definitely vocalize their love for each other but it's more so in "My Joy", and "Extraordinary Woman", "Strange Woman/Man", etc. And very cheesy lines (both say some cheesy shit in the Odyssey, and he definitely does in the Iliad as well. "Joy like a drowning sailor seeing land" bit???)
I could see "I adore you" but even then, that's probably during very specific moments but the actual "I love you"??? I just typed it just now for fic shit and... It weirdly just didn't feel right and I don't know why. 😅
Idk maybe it's kind of because I see them as over the top in ways, they love wordplay and riddles and I think they'd almost think "...That's not good enough >:( " about it??? I don't know???😂
