Softy I see you’re doing requests and I thought about it long and hard but the only thing I can think of would be sending Sabo a spicy text at a meeting >.> idk if you can do anything with that but the gloved man came to my mind
<33333
OMG I imagine it's a Meeting with Dragon too, a serious meeting at least. That requires all of his attention and focus…You can read this as a modern AU or in canon where they have cell(snail)phone that can text and send pictures etc
TW: Slight Voyuerism, Sexting
Tumblr media
Usually at these sorts of meetings, no one is supposed to be on their phones, but Sabo tends to get bored when the older people go on long tangents during their spiel. So during the slow times of meetings, Sabo would secretly go on his phone under the desk.
Pretending to keep all eyes on the speaker while actually just scrolling through Twitter or messaging you about how boring this meeting is. Dragon is the only one who notices when Sabo isn’t paying attention, but he doesn’t mind it since Sabo can pull his own weight when push comes to shove.
You and Sabo were texting back and forth for a bit about mundane things when an idea popped into your head. You were getting bored waiting for him to come back home, so you decided to be a little cheeky today and send him a little bit of motivation~
You had to prepare your treat, so you left Sabo on hold for a bit, which he did not like. Sending you sad pictures of cats, increasing in volume with every minute you were gone. The latest sent picture is somehow sadder than the last cat.
You come back to your phone notification going off, rolling your eyes at his antics. You text him to calm down and that you needed to go do something, while Sabo retorts back with that nothing is more important than alleviating his boredom. Then he quickly adds that unless you got hurt, someone broke in, or the house is on fire, then please feel free to ignore me until you are safe and healthy again.
You smile at his message, sending him a quick “<3” and then posing on the bed to take a selfie. It took a couple of tries, but you finally got the right angle, lighting, and pose all in one. You quickly sent it over to Sabo before he sent another barrage of sad cat memes.
Sabo, at the time of receiving that picture, had been called on by one of the other members at the meeting. They sought his opinion on the topics they had just discussed. Luckily for him, Sabo was good at lying and manipulating; he just sprouted out some fancy nonsense with enough charm, and mostly everyone would believe him.
The other members all nod their heads and murmur agreements before moving on to the next topic. Sabo sighs under his breath and checks his phone, noticing that you sent a picture. Curiosity gets the better of him, and he opens it up without a second thought. Finding you posed on the bed, sitting on your knees with your legs spread, wearing only his dress shirt. Which was opened, revealing everything underneath in a tasteful manner, of course, a tease if you will.
You were giving the camera a bashful look, making straight eye contact with the lens, so it would look like you were looking directly at Sabo when he opened up the picture. All your hard work paid off handsomely, as Sabo immediately felt his pants tighten. He curls his fist in as he breathes in heavily, trying not to show on his face that he has a hard on right now.
Dragon silently quirks an eyebrow his way, but Sabo ignores him as he sees another text coming from you.
“Miss you so much… could you please send me something back too, love?”
The message was followed by a sad cat meme, almost causing Sabo to laugh out loud, but he quickly caught himself. Should he send something back? He can’t ask to excuse himself to go to the bathroom since this is somewhat of an appointment meeting.
His heart started to pound a bit faster as an idea popped into his head: he could just take the pictures right now, under the desk, where no one would be the wiser.
So he does just that, slowly straightening out his back and flexing his fingers as he tries to focus on whoever is speaking. Sabo begins to slowly undo his belt buckle and unzip his pants, suppressing a groan as he shimmers down his pants to expose more of his boxer. He could feel the wet spot forming on his tip as he pulled down his boxer just slightly to expose some curly blonde pubes.
He takes a few photos as best he can, just giving you a little tease of what's to come. He sends them over, and soon after, you reply with another set of your own photos. A shot of your chest, a shot of your dripping cunt, and one last shot of you playing with yourself.
Sabo bit his lips hard upon seeing them, deciding to go even further as excitement and arousal started to heat up inside of him. He slips his gloved hands under his boxers and fully pulls out his throbbing cock. The cold office air hits his leaking tip, instantly causing Sabo to shiver.
A member notices this and asks Sabo if he is alright. Sabo replies back smoothly.
“Ah, don’t worry, it's just colder here than I expected.” He smiles at everyone and adjusts his coat. The members resume their chatter.
Sabo softly sighs to himself and avoids looking at Dragon for the rest of the meeting. Still, he was determined to get one last set of pictures to you, if it was the last thing he did. He lets a few more minutes pass before going right back to his cock once more, wrapping his glove around his length. His hands were too shaky to get a stable photo, so instead he decided to take a video instead.
The video starts off staring at the floor, slowly panning up Sabo’s leg until he finds the right angle to perfectly capture the full view of his cock. His other hand still on it, pristine leather now covered in precum, as he rubs his thumb on his tip. The precum almost seems to make the leather glove shine in the video, as he uses it as a makeshift lube.
Stroking up and down on his length, his hands were trembling more and more with each stroke. Causing the video to shake heavily as he almost reached his climax, stopping himself by squeezing his shaft almost painfully tight so he doesn’t paint the underside of this table white. He cuts off the video there and sends it off, quietly shimmering his pants back up and zipping it close, not bothering to redo his belt though.
The meeting ends soon after, and Sabo stays behind to wait until everyone else leaves first before he gets up. Dragon is the last one to get up before Sabo, as he gives Sabo a heavy look and shakes his head, murmuring to himself about how the youths of today are getting crazier with each generation.
Sabo ignores all that, hurrying home to you, as he needs help cleaning off his gloves after today. And he knows what your tongue can do to help with that.

I absolutely love Going Home!!! I was wondering will we get more Bonten headcanons in the future or how each of them keeps reader around while they deal with their lifestyle?
Will she ever try to leave them cause she hates how much pain they bring to other people or will she stay? And if she tries to leave what would their response be?
its already almost time to start writing chapter 4 ;-; take my useless apologies anon...I have no idea if you're still here but i hope my words reach you
Masterlist
‎Going Home Chapters 1 | 2 | 3
minor spoilers ahead for chapters 2 and 3 of Going Home!
Currently at this point in the story, I don't think you have a very clear picture of what Bonten is exactly or what kind of horrific crimes they get into - you definitely know that they are a criminal organization/some sort of gang big enough to own guns (given how they are still very illegal in Japan but Mikey has one) and that they will not hesitate to shoot if they perceive that you are in danger.
Even so, you are clearly very attached to Mikey, even if he is a version that is so far removed from your Mikey you left 12 years in the past, so I highly doubt you would leave unless you deem it an absolute necessity. Not closing that door just yet but its not good odds.
But if we imagine you trying to leave Bonten after the events of Chapter 3, what would the backlash be like?
We already know Mikey's, which would be an absolute meltdown, unable to comprehend losing you again after finally having you back in his arms again for the first time in 12 years. The mental strain has not been kind to this boy, and utter collapse of whatever that is left of his sanity is probably the only outcome, though exactly how this would manifest is another question altogether. Safe to say he would never accept you trying to leave him again, and there is nothing he wouldn't do to stop you.
Ran and Kakucho both have already learnt firsthand how obsessed Mikey is with you and how dependent he is now that you were back, and would instantly step in the moment they notice you trying to leave. It isn't like they are attached to you in any form at this point in time except through Mikey, but nonetheless these two would know their role very well in keeping you exactly where you were. Would be very gentle in restraining you because of said fear of Mikey, making sure that you weren't hurt or scared in any way, and get you reunited with their boss asap.
Koko, who have heard of your reputation and have seen you exactly once, he'll at least know what you look like and that he should stop you, especially after the damage Mikey let you do to Bonten's deep moneybags at the store (the poor former Black Dragon nearly cried at the total even though it was but a drop in the bucket). No one else would ever be allowed to spend that much, so it was clear just how important you are to Mikey, but he'll have a lot less restraint with his methods compared to Ran and Kakucho.
Sanzu is kind of a big toss up at this point too - we still don't know how your quick return to the past and his new memories would affect his actions towards you. Before your return, the pink-haired second in command would have happily let you leave and even pack a bag and choose a disguise for you (secretly of course, he would never forgive himself if Mikey found out) just to let you get as much of a head start as possible. But things have changed, and Sanzu is too confused over what to think of you now - who knows how much your small kind gesture has affected him over the past 12 years?
As for Rindo, Takeomi and Mochi, it is unclear at this point whether they know what you look like or have even heard the rumours yet.

Arisen & Pawn Intro (template by @arisenreborn): Maeve & Aranwen
Tumblr media
♛ THE ARISEN:
NAME: Maeve
AGE: 50/60-something, she doesn't care to say.
RACE: Human
PRONOUNS: She/Her
PREFERRED VOCATION: Thief/Archer
FAVORED GIFTS: Explosive arrows. Magic tomes. Every day of her life she feels a throwblast shaped emptiness in her inventory.
FAMILY: None she'd care to think about.
POSITIVE TRAITS: She’s…let's call it self assured and quite capable of thinking on her feet.
NEGATIVE TRAITS: She’s a callous, violent, capricious egomaniac with a vengeful streak a mile wide.
LIKES: Heights, storms, anything that gets the ol’ adrenaline going.
DISLIKES: Taking orders, self-righteousness, and boredom. She’s like a shark, if she stops moving for more than a minute she'll die.
1. What was their life like before becoming Arisen?
She used to be the leader of a bandit gang, dropping onto carts and unwary travelers from the talons of a tame (with a very loose definition of the word) harpy. Once her little troupe got a bit too comfortable and well established she vanished, leaving it to collapse from the power vacuum. How she turned up in Melve in a set of Vermundian soldier's armor is anyone's guess. She doesn't even know.
2. How do they handle being Arisen, and the responsibilities that come with it?
Handle is certainly a word for what she's doing. At the moment she's rather gung-ho on the idea of fighting the dragon and getting a kingdom out of it. Reality will likely set in at some point. Probably.
3. What are their thoughts on Pawns in general?
Ambivalent, mostly. She sees them as being basically the same as other people (derogatory). Hates their obeisance. Loves the reaction she gets strolling through Battahl with them in tow. Finds the concept of other worlds unsettling in a way she can't quite put her finger on.
4. What's their relationship like with their main Pawn?
Extremely volatile. She can't stand her detached facade and desperately wants to get under her skin. She enjoys any pushback from her, especially when it's petty.
Somewhere deep below the twenty-odd layers of resentment and bickering there's amusement and grudging respect. And even further below that there's something else that she's even less keen to put a name to.
5. Do they have any interest in being Sovran? What are their opinions on the politics of the world in general?
She likes the idea of having that kind of power, but she probably wouldn't enjoy the responsibilities that come with that position. Odds are she'd ditch shortly after the coronation, or at least she'd try.
She's never cared much for politics. Her worldview is narrow and shortsighted, and aside from a few personal (mostly negative) interactions with important figures, she prefers to leave the long term and the big picture to others.
6. Who are their love interest(s) and/or closest friends?
She likes Lamond! She finds his weird egg thing and drinking habits funny. Plus he seems to bother Aranwen for some reason, so even better.
Other than him…she likes Wilhelmina and Hugo's willingness to get their hands dirty. She finds Phaesus and his grand ambitions rather droll. And Rothais has certainly captured her interest, if nothing else. As for any of these aforementioned opinions being requited...ehhhhh.
7. What drew them to their preferred vocation? Do they have history with it?
She likes the nimbleness and daring acrobatics the close range of her daggers encourages! It's also one she was already familiar with from her cart raiding days. Also, the vocation pairs well with her one true love: explosives.
8. Do they have any hobbies? Any way of relaxing between all that monster-slaying and traveling?
Climbing! She loves looking down at the world from the highest vantage points she can find.
Tumblr media
♟︎ THE PAWN:
NAME: Aranwen. "Ser" to you.
AGE: Unknown.
RACE: Human
PRONOUNS: She/Her
PREFERRED VOCATION: Fighter/Sorcerer
FAVORED GIFTS: Clothing, especially hats, though she'd not admit that unless under extreme duress.
INCLINATION: Straightforward
POSITIVE TRAITS: She's sharp as a tack, always ready with a witty remark. She's also good at risk assessment and has a solid grasp of her own abilities. As much as she may boast, she knows when she's in over her head.
NEGATIVE TRAITS: She harbors a deep seated disdain for the world in general. She’s judgemental to the extreme, arrogantly assuming she understands people better then they understand themselves.
LIKES: Being right.
DISLIKES:  The rift, tight hallways, and leapworms. Lamond.
1. What was their life like prior to being summoned by their Arisen?
Her first Arisen wasn't the heroic sort, almost immediately abandoning their shared quest in favor of pursuing his personal interests. He intended to take full advantage of his new state, going so far as to seek a way to prevent future Arisen from succeeding where he had given up. This last idea would eventually lead him outside the boundaries of his own world.
After her first death on Bitterblack Isle (unbeknownst to her, by her own Arisen's hand) , she eagerly awaited her master's call from beyond the rift. That call would never come. Whether he no longer possessed the ability or simply chose not to resummon her, she had no way of knowing.  She remained trapped beyond the rift, cursing and worrying for her former friend by turns, unsure how much time was passing until she hit upon a revelation. This, surely, was a punishment from the will of the infinite worlds. A just comeuppance for her failure to see the dragon felled at her master's hand. And as though approving her new outlook, another Arisen called from beyond the Rift.
2. What is their opinion on the Arisen? How do they view their relationship?
Aranwen holds every Arisen in simultaneously the lowest and highest esteem possible. Respect for their being raised to the role of the world's salvation, absolutely, she's all over it. But the person? Ugh. And this goes double for any who shirk their duty.
She's decided that her new Arisen will face the dragon and their destiny, even if they must be tricked into it.  Or dragged, kicking and screaming.
3. Is there anything about the Arisen they find troublesome? Be it a small quirk or bad habit? (Or are they obviously flawless?)
It would be much faster to list the things Aranwen doesn't find troublesome about her charge. But to focus on her most intense dislike, she hates her Arisen's need to push her buttons. She doesn't really mind the violence, or the attitude, or the infinite other small irritants. But Maeve's taunts are more effective than she'd like her to know.
4. What is their specialization and is there any story behind how they cultivated that skill set?
Logistician! Her previous Arisen was quite the forager, and he had a habit of stuffing both their packs -particularly hers- with herbs and the like. And Maeve isn't the organized sort, so her skills still see quite a lot of use.
5. Do they have any thoughts on the politics of the world and their place in it as a Pawn - or how Pawns are treated?
In a rather cynical way Aranwen almost likes the mistrust of pawns. It conforms to her worldview quite comfortably. People are scum, by and large. This is just what they're like.
6. Does their journey with the Arisen change them in any significant way and how?
[I'll come back to this one later...]
7. Is there a reason they chose their preferred vocation?
Aesthetics, mostly. The grandeur of the sword and shield, chosen weapons of countless heroes of legend. The excuse to get up close and personal with her foes.
8. Do they have any hobbies or preferred past-times?
Aside from scheming, sulking or violently yo-yoing between despair and euphoric smugness? …Does violence count as a hobby?

Dragons Rising Season 2 part 2 teaser breakdown
my thoughts and feelings regarding the DR s2 part 2 trailer. I have not watched any external analysis. this is pure unfiltered me
it might be a long one especially with pictures lol
ig? spoilers below
So we start off strong with Beatrix punching someone or something. Given the red landscape, I'm thinking it's Lloyd in his vision. So that's great. Very interesting that they keep bringing her up in the visions but we haven't seen her yet. Maybe she'll show up in the Tournament?
Tumblr media
And may I just say that Source Dragon looks beautiful! Still in Lloyd's vision. The crown she's wearing is glowing and that might be significant. Could be showing her powers? Whatever those are. Fire or Motion would be my guess.
Tumblr media
Lloyd has a little close-up shot with him looking pretty worried. Could be in the vision still and I'm guessing it is given the red shading around his face. So yay another confusing/angsty Lloyd vision! That's what we're here for!
Tumblr media
We get a good look at the Tournament place! Idk if it's a palace or what. (again, haven't watched any other reviews.) But it's very big and colorful. The little TV in the background shows Lloyd doing something, probably fighting.
Tumblr media
Whoever this guy is, ringing a bell. Could be the start/stop of fights, that would be my guess. No idea who that is but he'll likely be significant and say some lines.
Tumblr media
KAIIII! Kai in the Netherspace! Still in his Climber Suit and I'm glad. We've seen people change outfits when they probably shouldn't have so I'm glad they didn't (yet) with Kai. He goes through an upside-door and walks into a room with at least three of the Forbidden Five! They're all facing to the right with their heads bowed. One of them is glowing and might be sitting on a chair or throne. There's no waaaaaay that'll EVER be significant (can ya hear the sarcasm??). I can't WAIT to see how they're gonna deal with him in there cause there's no way Kai won't get into a fight. I hope if he does it's to protect Bonzle. He's the big bro ever <3
Tumblr media
GROUP SHOT! Wyldfyre looks tamer with her new hair lol. And Cole's back with the group YAS! LLOYD IN HIS MASTER OUTFIT FINALLY! And all the suits look so cool. Riyu in the back—I wonder if he's competing or what cause idk how they're gonna deal with a dragon who apparently has a lot of potential, given the Source Dragon of Energy last season. Also Arin and Sora being excited is so wholesome cause they're just kids. Meanwhile the others (minus Wyldfyre) have already been in a tournament...
Tumblr media
Back in the Realm of Madness! But uhhh why is the Dragon Matriarch from Season 1 there?? And she looks injured. Reunion with her and Riyu. I hope she's okay.
Tumblr media
Wylfyre being Wyldfyre...she might be defending someone given her expression and the wall of fire.
Tumblr media
Sora killing it at the obstacle course (part of the fights maybe or training—not sure yet).
Tumblr media
The same guy who let the Ninja into the Tournament is on a hover device holding a phone on a selfie stick, so I'm gonna guess he's the announcer for the fights or social media watching them.
Tumblr media
Arin and Sora shot with the background doing that thing (idk what it's called lol) when they learn something shocking. Probably with epic music cause it's Ninjago. Without much context I have no idea what the revelation is but I sure can't wait to find out.
Tumblr media
Cinder with...fire??? It looks like Wyldfyre's Heat. Idk. Is that was smoke is supposed to look like?? I don't remember that at all from last season. If he can use Heat then Fy is in trouble.
Tumblr media
Sora racing through the undergrounds with a little dragon coming up beside her. I have to say it looks very cute. Not sure who it is or why Sora is down there but they could be helping each other escape or smth (idk if you all have a better idea lmk).
Tumblr media
Master Lloyd (hehe) fighting someone at night. I'm hoping it's not part of the normal Tournament but it's getting caught doing smth at night cause that's more fun imo. In that whole sequence he's only playing defense—just blocking attacks—and not trying to land a hit of his own. It would be crazy if he's fighting Jay. That would give a reason for no offense. Also the attacker's outfit is new.
Tumblr media
Jiro and Zanth fighting Imperium guards! They could be with Beatrix since Imperium stopped fighting dragons. I wouldn't be surprised if there were still guards loyal to the ex-empress.
Tumblr media
GEO!!!!
Tumblr media
We've been here before... Hopefully Fy has a better time (though she gets blasted back by Cinder using Shatterspin in the video soooo idk). If Cinder is using Shatterspin, the Gong of Shattering and a wolf mask are readily available for him.
Tumblr media
Sora gets trapped by spears. She's got a new weapon too, more like a staff, glowing with her color. Did she make it? I hope so.
Tumblr media
Lloyd gets snatched by a dragon. Still in his Climber Suit so probably ep 11 or 12. He's falling but it doesn't rly look like he's worried about it? More like a controlled glide. Also yeah that's Heatwave. So happy he's finally getting more screentime.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Source Dragon of Motion! She looks awesome! ... That's the Monastery of Spinjitzu below. Holy Creation she is HUGE! I'm guessing this happens at the end of the season.
Tumblr media
Sooo that's the teaser. I am so very normal about this.
I'm curious why they didn't add more of Kai in the Netherspace. It could be more of a secret thing like how they hid Jay so far in the series by not putting him in ANY trailers or promo clips. Lots of mystery surrounding him. PLEASE let him fight the Forbidden Five at some point!!
If anyone reading this has more information, please don't share it because I don't want spoilers other than what has been officially released by LEGO.
Ik it's not too in-depth for an analysis but hey it's all based purely on what's in the video so spoiler-free! Hopefully the paused moments help. It's so fast I had to rewatch at 0.25x speed TWICE.
Season 2 part 2 coming in October!
I should add a link. https://youtu.be/D494MQMV34k?feature=shared

Worst Traits That Some Pokémon Champion Has
((Whenever I have some downtime, I try to get back into the swing of creating more Pokémon character headcanons. I love writing and I love headcanons, so this lil post will continue with me giving random headcanons to some of the Pokémon champions whom are all flawed in more ways than one. No one is perfect, so why not dive in?))
Blue
Getting this obvious trait out of the way, Blue can be overly competitive and a horrible sore loser. Yes, he has mellowed out, but that doesn’t mean that the occasional pout never emerges. Usually, Blue can make a one off comment about how “you just got lucky” or “I just felt a bit off today”. Excuses make up the majority of Blue’s sore loser behavior, which has caused some trainers, especially Red, to be put off by it. Of course, Blue has matured greatly and he has gotten better at being sportsmanlike. However, this immaturity creeps up now and then and Blue’s not particularly proud of it.
Tends to hold grudges. Blue’s someone who doesn’t forget. Chances of him forgetting a specific negative event, ie. your rival beating your ass after you’ve been Champion for at least five minutes, tends to leave a bitter sting. Of course, Blue’s grudges tend to loosen and fade away, unlike for others *cough Lance cough*.
Can be dismissive of other people’s feelings and experiences. To put it bluntly, Blue can be an ass. Sometimes. He’s quite capable of being understanding, but he’s a smartass for whenever something occurs that he just can’t relate to. He doesn’t mean to be insensitive; he just doesn’t understand the bigger picture unless somebody spells it out for him, likely Leaf or Prof. Oak.
Blue finds it hard to separate himself from his grandfather due to Agatha’s comment made about him towards Oak from Pokémon Generations. For a long time, Blue has gotten a reputation albeit an indirect one from others because of his relation to Oak, thus feeding into the idea that he will follow in Oak’s footsteps as a Pokémon Professor. He HATES being compared and does what he normally does: he denies it all. Do not get the wrong idea; Blue loves and does respect his gramps. But the constant expectation and comparison pisses Blue off that he becomes defensive and just speaks negatively about Oak. It fills him with guilt; he knows how hard his grandfather works, but Blue can’t deny the fact that being compared to Oak fills him with resentment which hurts more than what Blue’s willing to admit. Not so much of a bad trait, but definitely an insecure one.
Red
Being a silent dude, Red has a tendency to not vocalize what he really wants. He usually allows people to voice his choices for him, which has caused him to feel like a doormat several times due to this. It’s not that he’s indecisive, but he unfairly puts this expectation of people understanding of what he wants in the air. People cannot read his mind, therefore it’s difficult to understand what Red actually means. This ends up frustrating Red to the point where he’ll walk off and do something. Blue or Leaf do get where he’s coming from, but even they need clarification from time to time.
Lance
As I mentioned with Blue, Lance is another Champion that tends to hold grudges. However, unlike Blue, Lance holds grudges with a deathly grip. If he encounters someone who has done something bad either towards him, his Pokémon, or friends and family, he will forever remember them and make a mental note of what they did. Lance is notorious for this trait because he doesn’t relent one bit if he happens to cross paths with this wrongdoer. He’s a very protective man, so anything negative that occurs to either of his close relationships, consider this a warning. It doesn’t matter if it’s small or big or in between. Lance WILL remember and WILL constantly remind you of what you did.
Workaholic to an unhealthy degree. If he’s not doing any Champion work, then he’s either a) helping out at the Dragon’s Den, b) doing detective work (unauthorized), c) mentoring young Dragon Tamers, or d) training with his Dragons. It’s gotten to a point where it’s affecting his performance at the League, not to mention his health, that the Johto Elite Four has had to prevent him from getting terribly sick. Like, Lance it’s great that you’re hardworking, but please remember to just LIVE.
Lance can be very blunt, which can be a good thing or bad thing depending on the situation. On one hand, it’s great that Lance gets to the point. No need to beat around the bush. However, Lance has quite the sharp tongue that it’s not always warranted. Say, for example, a situation has occurred where someone gets upset at something insignificant. Lance cannot read the room, so he lets his rational, big brained self comment on how it isn’t a big deal and explains why that is. Chances are he’ll be seen as an asshole and people will just stare at him like he has said the most offensive thing in the world. Lance genuinely wants to help by giving advice, but fails to realize that, sometimes, advice just isn’t needed.
Tries to be the leader in most situations but comes off as too intense or reckless. Look, if this man is content with having his Dragonite use Hyper Beam on a random dude, then this should speak volumes. While it’s good that he takes charge and wastes no time, he can be sloppy when it comes to handling crime scenes. He can throw himself into danger and not think about the consequences, hoping to God that whomever accompanies him just trusts him. I swear, if Looker saw how Lance handles crimes scenes, he would have a stroke. Now I want a buddy cop movie with Lance and Looker, geez.
Alder
Alder has a tendency to up and leave without telling anybody. This is especially true with the Elite Four whom don’t know where Alder is or what he is doing. Alder is quite nomadic as he doesn’t stay in one place for too long, so he comes and goes whenever he pleases. It’s rather frustrating for the Unova League as they cannot accept challengers if their Champion is out. Marshal understands Alder pretty well (seeing as how he was Alder’s apprentice at one point) and doesn’t question it too much. Grimsley doesn’t care. Caitlin does care to an extent, but gets extra sleep out of Alder’s disappearance while Shauntal is probably the only one who tries to keep tabs on Alder’s whereabouts albeit unsuccessfully. It’s not that Alder doesn’t care about the League; he cares a great deal for the League and the good opportunities that it presents to Trainers. However, Alder’s lack of presence has landed himself and the League in hot water with Pokémon League officials, which causes Alder to feel overwhelmed.
Can be non-attentive at times. Alder can pick up things fine, like the feelings of Pokémon. However people are a different story. See, I think Alder as a sort of nomad or hermit type who doesn’t exactly have the best social skills. Like, he can communicate fine and get across his feelings without problem. But with certain people, Alder kind of zones out and shifts conversations drastically to avoid anything too awkward, despite it already being awkward. He’s a good listener to an extent and can give sage advice, but just have patience with this old man. He’s doing his best.
Iris
Being the youngest Champion can be the best thing in the world. However, it has its drawbacks. For one, Iris being a child has led to her being brushed aside by many people, playing down her strength and aptitude as a Champion. It strikes a heavy nerve within Iris as she fought and struggled her way to the Champion position all on her own (due to Drayden’s tutelage of course). Iris takes a lot of pride in her abilities and gets a bit too emotional whenever someone doubts her capabilities. And adding onto it more, she can act out immaturely. Iris strives to be more confident like her other Champion compadres, but it still irks her that she acts so childishly whenever someone makes a snide remark at her. She constantly feels like she needs to prove herself when, in actuality, she needs to let it go and not allow rude comments to dictate her behavior.
Leon
Much like Lance, Leon can be workaholic. Aside from being the Champion, Leon also does a lot of work for Chairman Rose that’s not related to the League. He doesn’t have nearly enough downtime to chill and Oleana has a schedule of meetings/errands that Leon has to do because Rose expects him to do it. Do it for Galar. Leon used to have this unhealthy mindset of if he doesn’t do something that Rose asked, or rather demanded, him to do, he wouldn’t be doing his role as Champion properly and would be revoked. This man has been Champion for quite a long time and that mindset lingers in the back of his mind well after Rose got the boot. Leon still feels the need to represent Galar and tries to do his best to do what he can and hope that it’s enough. To summarize this entry, Leon is a bit of a people pleaser.
Leon downplays his troubles to a concerning degree. Whether if it’s him getting hurt or sick or feeling depressed, Leon brushes it to the side and pretends that he’s okay in front of others, even friends and loved ones. Leon’s pretty good at masking his issues but a few cracks slip here and there. Raihan and his mother confront him about it, which Leon does open up a bit, however it’s minimal and he keeps reassuring them. With the amount of pressure and expectation being placed onto him daily, Leon forces himself to swallow his problems and continue to push onward. It’s still a problem, but Leon tries to do better at taking care of himself and allowing himself to feel whatever he’s feeling. Progress is progress.

Any feligami fic recommendations?
Felix is Fine by SortaArtsy
Felix wakes up sick, but is determined to keep it under wraps. Kagami refuses to be fooled. Feligami fluff. Implied past trauma/ abuse, though nothing explicit. Set post S5 so there are SOME SPOILERS!
If you want a Felix sick fic, this story’s the fic for you! I like how Felix and Kagami actually talk about why Felix is so determined to keep the extent of his illness hidden, what caused him to feel like he needs to do that, and Kagami’s understanding about it. Colt sucks.
---
to assess the equation of you by ThisKwamiNeeds-aNap
“I’m not a wanted fugitive,” she said, dryly. “You could change that.” She wasn’t sure if he was joking. Wasn’t sure if she wanted him to be joking. She stared for a long second, as if she could read more into his intent in the pupils of his eyes. They stayed there for a long second, unblinking. OR: Félix and Kagami try to talk about that after credits scene in Pretension
---
the awful felix saga by chivalrousamour
It should be noted that Félix was not exactly the most normal of people. He was idolized by others and popular, yet never had many friends. His social skills mostly amounted to knowledge of how to smile and speak politely enough that people let their guard down around him. As a result of his tendency to ignore or hate most people, he only had the few loved ones, and he'd commit murder for them. Like literally commit murder for them. Several murders, even. He did not have good knowledge of boundaries or restraint. So it should really say something that Félix, of all people, looked at Adrien's phone, and immediately said "oh, what's wrong with this guy." Because, like, dude. Why did Adrien have so many pictures of a girl he wasn't even dating? Even Félix knew that cropping group pics to be just the two of them was a weird thing to do.
So this is part of a series. I put that series on my top ten completed fics of 2023 list. I think you can mostly understand what's going on here without reading the other fics in the series, but I highly recommend you do read them, because they're hilarious! But this fic should at least give a taste of the tone of the rest of the series and give an idea whether you'd like to read the rest.

The Peacock and the Dragon by TheVioletThread
kagami reflects on love, past and present, lost and won. felix destroys everything he has ever loved.
This is a three-chapter story, with the chapters being mostly independent, rather than naturally leading into each other.
The first chapter is from Kagami's POV, delving into the mindset she's grown up with due to Tomoe's parenting.
The second chapter, on the other hand, is from Felix's POV and mostly follows his horrific backstory, the abuse he suffered at Colt's hands, and his mindset even after Colt died.
The third chapter goes over Amelie's life, how she thinks of being the one left behind to deal with her parents' expectations, how she does, in fact, abide by them, basically being sold away to the highest bidder, and the despair as she's unable to do what she was "purchased" to do: provide an heir to Colt.
There's some beautiful prose here and exploration for Felix, Kagami, and Amelie, I highly recommend giving it a look!

one does not love breathing by @wackus-bonkus-maximus
All of Paris watched as Hawkmoth murdered Chat Noir, taking the Black Cat Miraculous for himself. Ladybug swears revenge, but her enemy—and every miraculous in his possession—disappear without a trace.
Six years later, a new team of villains launches an attack for the last remaining Miraculous: Volpina, armed with new powers; Queen Bee, with questionable loyalty; Argos, the new holder of the Peacock Miraculous; and Cat Walker, who Ladybug hates the most.
Takes place after S4 - Strike Back.
So this is mostly a Lovesquare fic, but there's lots of different perspectives here, including Felix's and Kagami's. They may not be the main couple, but they still have more focus and development here than you're likely to find in most other fics.
Which is especially impressive since Feligami was one of the major pairings in this fic even BEFORE the Miraculous season 5 bible got leaked. Wackus was clairvoyant on that front.

what are your favourite headcanons for all the boys? (also hi mama lava we havent spoken in a while oopsie hah,,hope ur doing well <3)
I'm doing quite well, m'dear! Mnetally at least LOL
The body hates fall and the changes in the air, but the rain makes me happy and the leaves are going CRONCH so I can still smile! Also, it is now cider and cocoa wheather! (I really need to finish that darn Ravio scarf now LOL)
Okay! Headcannons!
Time: He has no clue what's happening ever. Time is hard for me to relate to or even work with, so I don't tend to mess around as much with headcannons for him, but I love the idea that he is masquerading as an adult all the time and genuinely is confused by almost everything. As someone who was left in charge of see stinkers with no clue on how to handle them, it makes him relatable and easier to write that way :)
Warriors: His dark form is a dragon. Even prior to TotK I liked the idea that certain people could/would become dragons, and considering there are some who ship him and his Zelda and they come before Flora, that would mean it runs in the family LOL. It also really suits him for REASONS and I like playing with it
Sky: His eyes flash silver when he's angry, and lightning will crash even on a sunny day when you piss him off. He killed a god, let this man be an unhinged BAMF eldrich hero!
Hyrule: Navi is his mother. I like the idea of him growing up hearing stories of the Hero of Time. i like the idea of him setting out on his adventure not just because Impa asked him too, but because that pig sounds a lot like the sucker who killed his big brother and their family doesn't go down unavenged! He totally had a few words for Ganon in that last fight, and even if it was the last thing the king of evil thought, he knew he was killed on behalf of a hero, not just by one.
Twilight: He's a white girl. It's really a personal gag for me, but he likes horses and stupid romance stories and ridiculously sweet drinks and he can't hold his whiskey for the life of him. Okay, like, he can, but why would he drink whiskey when he can have something strawberry flavoured? He just... he's a big rancher and scary wolf, but he will willingly wear pink and be a barbie is what I'm saying. And yes he'd enjoy it! (although he'd prefer pants please, he's still a man Barbie, okay? Not a Ken, a man Barbie)
(I have others for Twi, but this one makes me happy to ridiculous levels and gives the seratonin <3)
Wind: He's Warriors' grandfather. I know it;s less about him and more about Warriors, but the idea of him shaping and guiding the next hero, preserving that hero's childhood and protecting it as long as he can, makes me happy. there were totally calls to adventure long before Cia, but Wind said "heck no, he's underage, ain't happening" and either stopped that shit or dealt with it himself. He made sure to teach Warriors everything he wishes he'd known, or heard the others say they wished they'd known when starting: starting a fire, wayfaring, tracking, hunting, fishing, map making, how to make gear and supplies last, where to find valuable things, all that sort of stuff. he didn't know what sort of trouble the hero after him would face, so he made sure to provide help and leave supplies in every way he could think of (some of which, incidentally, lasted all the way to wild's time to help him).
Wild: He's Other. He's not quite right and he's more than just slightly screwed up, but not in the pretty, Fae like way it's often pictured. Wild is Other like a twisted and mangled tree that scrapes across your window in the night, keeping you awake but keeping the monsters cowering under your bed in fear. He's other like a too wide smile, like a sigh of relief when he feels Death's touch lingering on Legend. He's Not Quite Right in a way you have to know him to see, but you can't ever stop seeing after. (It's okay. Flora is too and she feels safer being with someone who's the same)
Legend: Personal hc I never get to share! Legend is the personification of Balance! He straddles light and dark both as a rabbit and in his fifth adventure. He's kind of died twice (OoS manga & a personal theory about Koholint) yet he's still alive. He kills in order to preserve life and lives in order to kill that which threatens it. He represents the balance in Hyrule and preserves it, hence why he tends to fill any needed role (watching the backs of the heroes throughout LU, taking the lead in Sunset, acting as a middleground/middle sibling in Sunrise) in order to prevent things tipping out of balance. legend is the middle ground between extremes, and a walking contradiction.
Four: I will do the colours as well, but I adore them being remembered, even though Four thinks he won't be. he comments in the comic that he's glad to at least have done well enough that no one needs to worry about his enemies, hence why they don't talk about him anymore, but I like the idea that Malon taught Time to read by reading him parts or stories about Four, but he got to impatient to wait to find out the ending, so he forced himself to figure it out as fast as possible to get there even if she wans't there to tell him. I like Legend hearing stories of him and growing up admiring him, of spending his first few adventures trying to be like him because that's what heroes who win are like. I love Four being remembered and adored. He deserves it! (And if he maybe got sealed away long enough to come back and meet some future heroes, well, I love that too!)
Red: Is actually the most dangerous of the colours when he's mad. He will wreck your shit, he will burn you alive. Do not try him.
Blue: He's fond of patterns and artwork, and knitting helps keep him calm. He's the crafter of the colors, and the only one if you disregard smithing. Also, he's the mom friend.
Green: He likes drawing. I don't know why, he just does. Also, outdoorsy boy. He hates shoes, hates floors, and will sit in the grass drawing trees and chatting with minish for hours if nothing stops him.
Vio: Loves cats. Despite Four as a whole having a fear of cats, and the other colors also sharing that fear, Vio's sense of self preservation sort of flew out the window with the trust the others had in him when he joined Shadow. Vio can look at any animal that should reasonably be able to kill them and actually will try and determine if he can just... touch it. he doesn't want to even be friends, he just wants to see if, since a dragon will let him, will this giant wildcat also? He adores Wolfie more than even Red. The others think there is something wrong with him that he likes terrifying creatures so much.

-Headcanons about the Figarland Family-
Hey so this is me having come up with some bullshit that I use to further think up scenarios about an OC of mine known as Esther and her relationship with Figarland Garling
I figured that I would post them just for fun also just to clarify something, I DO NOT AND WILL NEVER CONDONE THE ACTIONS OF ANY CELESTIAL DRAGON
I might love Garling and I understand that the man is an absolute horrid human being like honestly if I wasn’t so sure that I would die then I would try to take his ass out if I saw him in real life but I can’t fight him so I’ll just run
In fiction world though, I wouldn’t mind if he forced me to stand at the altar and say I Do while wearing a white dress…
If you have any problems with that then please just scroll on by…
!-MINORS DO NOT INTERACT AT ALL-!
!-POTENTIAL TRIGGER WARNINGS-!
Death, Execution, Celestial Dragons, SPOILER WARNING, Kidnapping, Yandere, Forced Pregnancy,
!-POTENTIAL TRIGGER WARNINGS-!
!-MINORS DO NOT INTERACT AT ALL-!
CENSORED BECAUSE TRIGGERS AND CHARACTER SPOILERS
-The Figarland Family is not only known for their status and power alongside Garling being a champion but because they make incredibly powerful warriors
-But not only that, they make a lot of incredibly talented weapons smiths as well like I have an OC named Berkley who is Garling’s brother and he’s an incredibly skilled weapon smith
-The stuff that has come out of the more weapon smithing members of the family is quite impressive like they’re incredibly high end and don’t allow just anyone to have them
-Typically the really good weapons are handed to the fighters of the family while the not so great weapons are what’s given to people outside the family
-The Figarland Family has quite a few hunting/guard dogs like they’re all Tibetan Mastiff’s and they are some of the scariest and most terrifying dogs you will ever see
-People have legit horror stories about those things calling them hellhounds and things like it’s rare to meet a person in the holy land who don’t know about those things
-They are well trained, well groomed, well cared for, and know exactly how to mess you up
-No one knows that if you’re a member of the Figarland Family then these guys are total sweethearts, they enter serious mode whenever there’s a visitor or they’re outside or they have specific orders to be in serious mode
-They have a leader too and it’s a little Pomeranian that all of the Tibetan Mastiff’s listen to like these dogs stand at attention the second that the Pom barks in a specific way
-The Pom is an old dog but it’s not to be messed with and it’s been seen legit herding the mastiff’s like they’re a bunch of sheep
-Garling didn’t see the point of the Pom when he was younger and disrespected it once… Don’t ask what happened but know that he now knows that the Pom is very important and whatever you do, never mention his leg scar…
-The Dogs typically get very protective around the younger members of the family like there’s an old picture of Shanks (I subscribe to the idea that Garling is Shanks Dad) as a baby cuddled up with one of the dogs
-They also are the best friends of any Yandere members of the family as they’ll go serious mode and watch over the Darling when the Yandere isn’t around
-Garling spends at least an hour in front of the mirror every morning doing his hair, it’s even longer when he’s older and has the beard
-It’s a hairstyle that the men of the family share like if Shanks grew up around them then it’s very likely that he would have eventually been made to grow his hair out and adopt the hairstyle that his father and all the other men do
-The women of the family don’t have to do it and are pretty much allowed to wear their hair however they want just so long as it’s not like even something that the person with the weirdest hairstyle would find weird like I’m talking styling your hair into branches and hanging ornaments off of it
-Garling despite having a lot of celestial dragon bitches in love with him has absolutely no interest in any of them like he gets at least five love letters a day but he typically gets rid of them
-He has no interest in them and he doesn’t intend to have interest anytime soon as when he eventually falls in love, he wants that to be the one
-The one he dates, the one he marries, the one he makes birth his children, the one he stays loyal to
-That’s the one that he’ll personally pursue and he doesn’t give a shit what status they are as he’ll take them and just keep them in his home, they’ll never leave him and he’ll make sure of that
-This man is a natural born Yandere and I can’t be convinced otherwise…
-So as a result, Shanks mother/Garling’s spouse is still locked up in the house and not allowed to leave unless she’s accompanied by Garling himself or another family member but only if it’s an emergency
-Besides his S/O, Garling currently lives alone at the Figarland House like it’s just him and his S/O alongside the guard dogs
-He enjoys it as it’s good for quiet relaxation time whenever he doesn’t have to train or handle the other Holy Knights and that way as well, he’s able to listen for the footsteps of his S/O better
-As for where his brother, Berkley who I mentioned earlier lives? He lives on the property just not in the main house like he has a smaller house somewhere else on the property where he lives and handles everything
-It’s really the same for any other members of the family as well, they don’t live at the main house as that house is reserved for the head of the family to live in and when Garling’s father died. That became him
-If you feel lucky enough or if you’re desperate enough then if you find yourself being sentenced to death by Garling then you can actually propose a duel where if you win then you go free and if Garling wins then the execution continues
-Garling has accepted quite a few of these duels and has always come out as the winner with his fastest victory being seven seconds, he knows that he will never be defeated so he isn’t afraid in the slightest to take on these duels as they can be good fun in his own personal opinion
-However if Garling really doesn’t feel up to it or is in a hurry then he’ll either deny your request, allow one of the Holy Knights to fight you instead, or kill you right where you stand if you continue to insist or provoke him enough
-Doesn’t matter to him none

Dating headcanons for Kabu, Raihan, and Piers please?
Dating Headcannons for Kabu, Raihan, Piers
Sfw
Gn!reader
Cut for length
Kabu
Extremely traditional, he has the entire date planned out has a whole list of things to do and places to eat, and things to see.( more often than not already has a reservation planned)
No matter if it's your first second third or 600th the date he'll always feel nervous to take you out somewhere.
You never expected Kabu to be so romantic, he just wants to make sure you're having a good time.
Kabu's idea of a date is just as traditional a fancy dinner or somewhere quiet and go home.
The gym leader does admit that it has been sometime since he's taken someone out, and he wouldn't be surprised if dating has changed in recent years, so he would be open to anything if you decide to change it. But his first instincts will always be take you out to dinner.
Now he doesn't mind taking you places to have fun it will just take him a while to let loose a little bit. He'd much rather take it slow.
During the actual date, Kabu won't take his eyes off you; you have his full attention.
Kabu prefers taking it slow he is not interested in flings when he is with someone he is in for the long haul. He wishes for a partner to stay by his side.
Kabu says is not a jealous man but you can't help but notice his eyes seemed to Twitch when someone gets a little buddy with you.
Raihan
Raihan thrives off dates while a dinner is considered for him, it isn't his go-to.
Like the extroverted battery he is he will drag you to any place he thinks is fun and wants to bring you to. Every attraction in Galar are you two have gone to at least twice. And precious thumb drives are filled with pictures and videos of every date. The ones he posts on his social media are not even 1% of the ones he has.
Raihan is less of a list and plan guy and more of a follow your heart.
If going out isn't really your thing or going anywhere where there's a lot of people he'll try to meet in the middle because a date is successful when two people are having fun.
As much as I do see Raihan being the more extroverted going out and doing things kind of boyfriend I do think he is rather flexible with Partners who don't really want to go out.
Raihan is extremely perceptive of other people, and we'll take note of your likes and dislikes, to be completely honest he is the happiest when you're happy.
Raihan is a self-proclaimed Master at dating spots; like I said, he is highly perceptive of the people he is dating. He'll pick a place that he knows you'll like, and he'll pick up on your habits pretty quickly. He'll know when you are or not having fun.
Raihan is a very doting boyfriend anyone would be lucky to be with him.
I also see him as quite the gift-giver as well, he puts a lot of thought into every gift he gives you, ( sometimes he has Dragon brain and gives you a Shiny rock or nick nack he randomly saw and made him think of you)
Piers
Eh, to be completely honest Piers doesn't care one way or the other; if going on dates means a lot to you, then sure, he'll do it to make you happy. But Piers can spend time with you in any way he wants to without any of that fancy stuff.
A guy like him, oblivious and doesn't know what romance even is, would be very in trouble on a first date, lucky for him, his sister has his back whether he wants help or not. What kind of sister would she be if she let her brother crash and burn? And Raihan can supply good spots in Galar that have good reviews and are good dating spots
Piers classifies anything as a date, even if it's just you, too, having a lazy Sunday on the couch.
Peirs ideal date if you were to ask him he, would probably say being at home with his partner eating pizza and watching The Great Galar Bake Off.
But once in a blue moon, Piers will knock you out of the park with something you never expect from him. Taking you outside of the town and watching the Stars or Have you listen to a short song he wrote about you. You have no idea where is this comes from because usually, your Piers has no romantic bone in his body.
If you would like to take him out somewhere, sure, he'll bite. He doesn't mind either way.
Piers has a tendency to be a little protective over people he really likes.
Maybe even a little bit possessive over you specifically.

Jojen is Fine, Actually: "Weirwood Paste" is Weirwood Paste.
CW: humanitarian diets, body horror, general blasphemy, mention of grooming (in the context of creepy tree wizards).
Okay so my being a HUGE Jojen (& House Reed in general) fan gives me an Obvious Bias against the idea of Jojen Dying Offscreen.
My being a huge literary nerd & lore geek, however, informs my Metaphor Senses that Jojen is Fine*, Actually.
The "Weirwood Paste" is Weirwood Paste: made of weirwood seeds, locally sourced. Said "Local Weirwood Tree" being. Y'know. Brynden Rivers.
It's Brynden Paste.
(*Fine: chronically ill, majorly depressed, freezing cold, surrounded by creepy tree people, stuck in a zombie wasteland, if he ever goes home he Dies, repeatedly dreaming of his own death... but, at least, Not Dead nor Being Eaten by the Prince of his Dreams? He's "Fine".)
First and foremost: storytelling conventions, even in a series as "deliberately unconventional" as ASOIAF, tend to tell audiences that NO ONE is genuinely "dead" until you see a body. And personally check its pulse. And test for rigor mortis. And maybe stab them in a lethal place, jusr to be Sure. And then burn the body, scatter its ashes, send couriers off in different directions to hide what remains in Remote Places never to be known of by the other couriers. Maybe Silence the couriers if they come back.
Er, you get the picture.
Most subscribers to "Jojenpaste" are in it for the lolz or assume The Worst due to Jojen's non-presence in the latest Bran chapters (aaand Jojen's being Very Permanently Dead in That Dragon Show). It's also an "easy" assumption that Since GRRM Is GRRM, any & all opportunities for Humanitarianism will be fully utilized.
Except... the weirwood paste is ALREADY "made of people" just because it's Weirwood (specifically, weirwood seeds) and the series has consistently described weirwood trees as "[human]".
Weirwood have "bone white" bark; they have Faces carved into them; they "Watch" and "Listen" and "Witness": this is consistent across POV characters, even before Jojen casually brings up "oh they're what Greenseers Become" or any meetings with a Literal Tree Man.
Weirwoods are described in human terms, doing human things, and at least 1 major character has been directly equivicated with Weirwoods for Plot Purposes: Ghost the Direwolf (and wolves, of course, are consistently used to mean "someone of House Stark" and the Starklings especially).
Then there is The Creepy Tree Man in the room: Brynden Rivers, called "Three-Eyed Raven" by Bran and Jojen (for that was how their Dreams interpreted him) or "The Last Greenseer" by the Singers (...despite BRAN very pointedly Being There To Prove Otherwise).
Brynden is also, as mentioned, a Tree Now.
A Weirwood Tree.
Y'know. Like the ones whose seeds make the Paste Bran's been eating.
So, unless the Singers have been sneaking about in Others' Territory to collect seeds from a different weirwood tree... that Paste is made of BRYNDEN.
Bran being fed "Brynden Paste' while Brynden Indoctrinates Teaches Bran to be a Tree Wizard makes far more sense, logistically & thematically, than Jojen getting shanked offscreen to belatedly be revealed to be "part of Bran all along".
For one thing, Meera would gladly set the Cave & everyone in it on fire if anyone so much as looks at her baby brother suspiciously. For another, Brynden is Right There for the eating & is filled with all sorts of Prophecy Juice: he's a Blackwood, he's a Targaryen, he's a Royal Bastard, he was an Infamous Spymaster with "A thousand eyes and one", he's done weird sacrifice BS before, he's a Greenseer (Jojen "only" has Greensight), he's a Living God (as per Singer & First Men Lore), the Cave Cult is trying to turn Bran INTO him...
There is a lot more "logic" to Bran's Magic Lessons featuring his knowingly (subconsciously, at least) eating Brynden than his secretly eating his friend. Human sacrifice tends to require Knowledge of the cost being paid & being Willing to do it anyway: Bran might be too tripped up on Paste to consciously connect the "Weirwood Paste" he eats with "that Human Weirwood Tree i'm sitting next to" but the Singers explicitly tell Bran the Paste is made from Weirwood Seeds. Bran "knows".
Godeating (metaphoric & literal) is a trope that is most commonly found in JRPGs, nowadays, but it has Precedent throughout western mythology: the Titan Kronus ate each of his children as they were born, Zeus alone escaping, in an effort to Dodge Prophecy; Zeus inherited Said Prophecy and, being his Father's Son, ate his first wife. The details of the Titanomachy (the War against the Titans by their reasonably upset kids) are Lost but Zeus, at least, gained all his Wife's Wisdom (& her pregnancy too) after eating her: Athena may or may not have Taken It Back upon breaking out from her Eaten Mother & Dear Old Dad.
Consuming something in order to "become" what is eaten is Fairly Common, if not with that specific phrasing: vampires seldom explain their reproduction as "eat me to become me", whilst the adorable Nintendo character Kirby & his method of Powering Up via Playing Vacuum, is Rephrased out of Sheer Self-Preservation (no one, not even I, likes to admit that The Cute Pink Blob is an Eldritch Abomination). Many JRPGs & works in eastern media use similar themes of "monster eats monster" and "let's eat god" for the purposes of High Stakes Action. Japan & East Asia has a lot less "baggage" when it comes to utilizing themes from Abrahamic verse, meaning that western works using themes of [consuming the divine] and [apotheosis] use Vampire Methodology. Such is the case in the Dragon Age series & its Order of Grey Wardens (who are, From A Certain POV, dragon god vampires).
Within the ASOIAF series itself, Dany's eating a horse heart (raw) has Humanitarian Themes in service of Prophecy and [Divinity]: the horse heart to the Dothraki, a society of horselords, could be what weirwood seeds are to First Men (especially given Jojen's whole "btw, the trees are gods are former greenseers").
Brynden & the Cave's Singers (whom I dearly hope are some long-exiled Cult & not reflective of Singers as a whole) are not particularly subtle in their Intentions for Bran: he is to be their New "Last" Greenseer. Bran is to Become Brynden or Brynden is to Become Bran: either and possibly both are plausible, though how compliant with the Singers' goals Brynden may be has yet to be revealed.
(the Brynden of F&B and D&E strikes me as someone who would gladly bodysnatch some poor kid for his own Agenda: the Singers seem unlikely to support fire-breathing foreigners, not without a Contingency Plan; somewhat likely to want Bran for the purposes of installing a Tree Hivemind Police State; and maybe, possibly... "just" wanting a Second God for their Cult in Bran, who probably Smells Better).
SUMMARY
Weirwoods are Personified in almost every appearance. Weirwood Trees are considered Gods. Jojen (& some Singers) have stated that the Next Evolutionary Phase of a Greenseer is "Weirwood Tree". Brynden "the Last Greenseer" is part of a Weirwood Tree.
Brynden & the Singers are Turning Bran Into A Weirwood Tree.
Bran's current diet is Tree Paste. His magic teacher, Brynden, is Part-Tree. The Nearest Tree to make Paste from is Brynden. The Paste is made of Brynden.
(Let's NOT think too hard on which parts of Brynden: I've only gotten this far in this Meta by using "Hunanitarian" as a pun.)
Eating Gods to Become A God is an existing Trope. Brynden is a God, by Singer & First Men definitions. Bran is being Groomed to Become Brynden, a God. To Become Brynden, Bran must Eat Brynden.
TL;DR
The Weirwood Paste is Weirwood Paste and Brynden is the Weirwood: the Paste is not "Jojen", it's BRYNDEN.
Jojen is Not Paste: Jojen is Alive but Not Well & Very Depressed.

*gestures wildly at my spooky children* Do you see my vision?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Struggling how to articulate how much Cole in little hope is perfection and has been eating my brain since it popped into it the other day due to the recent dragon age resurgence
I don't know how much overlap there is with little hope being such a tiny fandom comparatively but picture it:
(long incoherent ramblings undercut)
Cole the spirit, the personification of the virtue of compassion, who's literal whole deal is being drawn to and untangling deep rooted pain, who has a complicated relationship with death and morality due to his largely misunderstood nature and speaks in riddles about people's inner demons
A puritan village consumed by witch hysteria? A villain who fell due to deep personal pain that ultimately becomes irredeemable? The themes of grief guilt and blame and narrative framing surrounding innocence, vice, overcoming inner demons? the inevitability that you can't save everyone and reconstructing what was lost? The ambiguity of well intentioned yet massively misguided actions? I could go on but it'd be a whole lot of nonsense ramblings lol
It would be fascinating if I knew where to go with it, like on the one hand, send my boy to go ruin those puritans whole day as he pops up out of nowhere, reads minds, outwardly spills all the tea and then dips but also what about Cole and Curie? The curator of stories who observes and records the end of mortal souls and could be compared to a knowlage spirit or something under dragon age terms and then Cole who literally makes people forget they ever saw him, it would be fun to see this put together well spoken figure and then weird kid who ligit thought he was a ghost for a bit there(I mean he had his reasons but still).
Other concepts could be Cole as the M's, even the worst ending would be reflective of Cole, both with and without the gun but Anthony's death would parallel pre character development Cole who kills out of a simplistic and misguided compassion and in general the ending makes me think of the death and birth of Cole(also the compassionate soul trophy regarding Andrew's personality traits and how that's the optimal route for him, need I say more?)
There's something to dig out there but the thing that kicked this all off was wanting to draw one of the M's in Cole's hat(if not a full outfit swap), not being able to pick which and really getting on the idea that Megan "spooky child" Clarke is right there with my original weird son lol
Also wouldn't it just be a whole vibe to draw Cole in little hope's three eras of 1692/1972/2020?
Well that's what's been gnawing on my brain and I still don't know what to do with it but at the very least I can throw this ramble out there lol

So, occasionally I do adventure out of my comfort zone and read something other than Harry and Draco falling in love for the 1246th time in a row. This month I've been enjoying some magnificent entries in HP rare pair fair (@hprarepairfest) - all the love for this fest. Also I've been exploring some jegulus which I'm absolutely obsessed, at least in theory. In reality I don't think I'm honestly strong enough for the marauders era at all, that shit fucking hurts and I salute all those who go through it day to day. You're amazing.
So, without futher ado, my november non-drarry favorites:
Apple Tree and Juniper by @trueliarose 💫 Harry/Charlie, 17,732 words
Charlie Weasley: dragon tamer, single, attractive and the man Harry had had a crush on for years - what will happen when said man has to take some time off at work and decides to occupy himself by helping out with Harry's business?
Now, the thing about me is that I'm the biggest simp for Charlie Weasley. He makes me absolutely feral. The whole idea of getting it on with your best friends brother is like fucking ecstasy to me, and this might or might not stem from personal experiences. Out of all the Weasley siblings Charlie with Harry is just 🤌🤌 Now this fic had it all. A little angst, lots of fluff, Harry being all crafty crafty, TENSION and PINING, amazing magical woodworking lore (??? idk but i love it).. and the best part is that I noticed the author started a series with this fic being the opening act - I've never in my life hit that subscribe button as fast as I did with this one. God is good.
Choices by @sophsicle 💫 Regulus/James, 624,178 words
People make mistakes, but they also make choices. It’s important to James, that difference. He does his best not to confuse the two.
This is an honourable mention on this list since I read this already in October. But listen, I'm fucking traumatized by this fic. This was my first jegulus, my first marauders I've ever finished, and my 13th goddamn reason. And I can't even blame anybody other than myself, I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. I binge-read this in a day and a half and in retrospect I should've taken it a little more easy. But what can I say, I'm an all or nothing kinda girl. Chapter 53 hits different at 4am, just saying. The writing was hauntingly beautiful and I still think daily about some quotes and scenes from this fic. This fic is a journey and I'm glad I took it.
Light Bringer by meanwhiletimely 💫 Albus/Gellert, 10,678 words
Gellert doesn't simply shine—Gellert blazes, casting all around him into shadow with sheer dazzling force of being. When he turns that beatific gaze on you, your whole body comes alive for him: heat flaring up from within, blood in your veins turned to light.
This story is EVERYTHING. I was holding by breath while reading this. Beautiful. I love grindeldore (even though my resentment of Albus is as deep as the Mariana Trench), and this has to be one of the most beautiful fics I've ever read. This was written in second person POV which made the fic even more intense. Like I felt every word in my soul. Lots of love.
Mystic Lake of Memory by @sliebman10 💫 Harry/George, 5,055 words
As George's thirtieth birthday approaches, Harry convinces him to go on holiday to Loch Ness, where he and Fred had originally planned to spend their birthday in search of the sea monster.
Fred and George remain as an open wound for me still after all these years. This fic was sweet and melancholic at the same time, I absolutely loved how their relationship had grown and this fic was pretty as a picture. Absolute joy.
Sleeping With Ghosts by @ghaniblue 💫 Regulus/Harry/Draco, 27,902 words
Harry wakes in an unfamiliar bed to Regulus pointing a wand at his head, and then Draco moves into his house. Harry just wants the world to fuck off; being able to sleep through the night would be appreciated, too. This is the story of one very tired saviour of the wizarding world, a resurrected corpse and a mean little ferret living in Grimmauld Place together, drinking too much tea, talking less than is warranted, and falling in love.
I'm a slut for triads. Even more of a slut if two thirds of the triad is drarry. This fic was everything. It was so witty and funny and I was seriously laughing out loud reading this. I need this relationship tag to BLOW THE FUCK UP in 2024. I loved the build up and the ending was perfect. I really enjoyed Regulus' characterization and I think this fic really hits the spot with how I imagine him being. The interaction between the three of them was amazing.
Sweet Boy by @maraudersaffair 💫 Harry/Narcissa, 6,261 words
Harry agrees to date Narcissa to help her improve the reputation of her family. The intensity of their sexual chemistry takes them both by surprise, and it turns out there is nothing fake about their arrangement.
After reading this I decided that being a MILF is a state of mind and that being said I am one now. Do I have any kids? No. Will I have any kids? God knows. This fic was delicious in all the ways and more and I love Narcissa. So much.
Two of the Easiest Words in Gaelic by sky_watcher_rose 💫 Druella/Minerva, 27,902 words
Minerva will be the first to admit that Druella Rosier was the love of her life. But it’s been twenty years since they last saw each other, and she’s done her best to move on. When Druella unexpectedly arrives at a parents’ evening - the first she’s attended in the four years that Minerva has been teaching her children - both of them have to face up to certain feelings that never went away.
I usually shy away from muggle au's, but this was magical nevertheless. It was the first fic with this pairing I've ever read (and yes I have to admit I had to google who Druella was). The Scottish winter vibes were immaculate. I absolutely adore the "one that got away" kinda vibe in this one. There was this one quote from Minerva which was something like "I'm Scottish, nothing depresses me except bad whiskey" and I felt that in my core. Feel u sis, even though I'm not a Scot.
Unguarded-series by birdsofshore 💫 Draco/Albus Severus, 5 works, 38,834 words in total
Dilf-Draco is all I need in my life. So fucking hot.

Tell me your top 3 OCs
Thanks for the ask!!! :D
My top two are definitely Merlin and Charlie!
(I have other ocs of course, but I have no thoughts about them rn because I’m writing a oneshot specifically centered around these two, so I’m just gonna talk about their bond for the third lmao.)
1. Merlin:
Merlin (full name Merlin Caledonensis Ambrosius) is a Black transgender aroace man! (Specially non-partnering, as well as being romance and sex repulsed.) He’s also neurodivergent: he has schizophrenia, psychosis (as a symptom of it), misophonia, and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
He has a carefully crafted image of himself that he’s made as a way to survive, and no one besides Charlie, Ganieda, or Vivian will know his true self.
He hides it all under being a very mellow person.
He’ll smile easily, make shitty puns, converse with most people he comes across, give advice and trade knowledge freely without there being any catch, unlike some others out there.
Many consider him a friend, one of the most renowned protectors of magic, and one of the most famous magical beings, that everyone at least knows the name of. (Despite the demons that apparently have plagued his mind for centuries.)
But both he and his dragon are shrouded in myths and legends that no one knows are true or not, and he’ll never confirm or deny, simply dodging the curiosity or asking about the questioner with a smile.
(Unless it’s about being secretly married, because then he’ll go on a disgusted rant about being thrust into romance, and how he’s never been in a relationship, and he doesn’t need it, he has Charlie and his sister and his friends.)
His secrecy isn’t just limited to his past; it’s to the point that he feels exposed if someone simply finds out something he likes.
He usually doesn’t think about the fact that he’s constantly hiding parts of himself to make him seem more palatable, but when he does, he resents it. (And understands, because he’s hard to deal with. He has no idea why Charlie still loves him, sometimes.)
Just a few of the secrets he holds close to his chest are being naturally left-handed, hiding it behind the mask of ambidexterity that he taught himself. His complete and utter lack of romantic or sexual attraction, to the point of being repulsed at the idea. His aversion to a frankly maddening amount of sounds, and being born a girl, who hadn’t wanted to change his reproductive organs because they didn’t make him feel distressed and not at home in his own body like his breasts.
The voices in his mind tell him that everyone knows, no matter how hard he’s tried to hide them, and that they’ll hurt him again; Charlie has to constantly reassure him that no one else knows besides the two of them. (But not that he’d never betray him by revealing them. He’ll always trust his familiar, and Charlie knows that.)
Art Dump! (And an excerpt of his appearance from another character’s point of view because I’m lazy lol)
Click on the pictures for better quality and to see the whole thing! (The old one is his first, older design; the second one is his current one.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Amos] tries not to stare, taking in his appearance nonetheless. The man who is apparently Merlin seems to be only a couple of inches shorter than him, even from where he’s standing. Long white hair, that shines like freshly fallen snow, rests halfway down his back. It’s locked into thick strands that remind him of strong rope, tied up into a mid-high ponytail. Every side of his head is shaved, showing softer but still coarse hair that glimmers like frost. “Merlin,” Uther calls. “I have someone for you to meet.” He turns, revealing his face. He’s beautiful. He’s Black; his skin is a warm, dark brown. Several scars (one on the left side of his forehead, above his eyebrow; another spanning from his forehead to his nose, ending a little below his eyes; and the last across his left cheek) darker than his skin adorn his face. His eyebrows, eyelashes, and beard (which has a coarse, curly texture) are as white as his hair. His almond shaped eyes are a lighter shade of blue, with orange rings around his pupils. Eyebags darker than his skin, but a different shade than his scars, are under them. The bridge of his nose is prominent, making it curve. An aquiline nose, if he remembers correctly. He hasn’t seen anyone who has it in a while. He’s wearing a dark green bliaut, (that shows some of his chest, and he has to quickly look away) brown pants, a long, hooded blue cape, and brown heeled boots. A necklace, which is only a gem held with black string, rests against his neck. A bracelet is on his right wrist, and a ring is on his right hand’s second finger.
2. Charlie:
Charlie (full name Charlemagne William Ambrosius) seems a little rougher around the edges than his wizard, but he’s still nice (once he gets to know someone).
If he doesn’t know them yet, he won’t hide the fact that he stares them down while gauging their character. And even if he does, if they aren’t Ganieda or Vivian, he’ll still give them the same stare if they say or do something that could register as a possible threat to his beloved. (Yes, he calls Merlin that now. You’re welcome.)
He’ll say the things that Merlin thinks but won’t say, and doesn’t care that he comes off as mean or blunt sometimes either.
No one else’s opinion matters as long as Merlin is safe.
Anyone trying to separate the two of them, no matter for how long, immediately comes off as suspicious to him. People have attempted to take advantage of his familiar’s illness in the past, by convincing him that their actions weren’t real and were things he hallucinated or imagined. Sometimes, they also do the opposite and make him remember things that never happened.
And there’s the separation that still haunts both of them in different ways.
He’d been out hunting (which takes hours, since he’s a 3,000 pound dragon that eats a lot, but at least he only needs to eat every 4-5 days) leaving Merlin behind with their mutual acquaintance, Mordecai. His familiar had been feeling slightly tired, but neither of them were too worried; he’d hopefully sleep it off.
When he returned, Merlin was gone.
After hours of frantically trying to contact him through their telepathic bond multiple times while tracking his scent, he found a monastery.
His companion’s scent led him down to a dungeon, which had a chair with blood at its feet. And it continued in a trail somewhere else.
He had to quell his rising terror and fury to focus on finding him, following the blood and still strong scent upstairs.
Finally, he’d found the door that Merlin seemed to be behind, and he entered quietly when he only heard silence.
Even after seeing the blood, he still wasn’t expecting Merlin on a bed, sheets under him bloodied and stained, two corpses on the floor.
He was curled into himself, staring off at nothing.
They’d tortured him, broken him.
He never wants to see his beloved look that like again.
Art dump and excerpt:
(Like Merlin, the old one is his first, older design; the second one is his current one.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Charlemagne stares at [Uther] the whole time, red eyes almost glowing in the dim light.) How is no one else unnerved by him? He’s entirely unsettling, with those red eyes, (at least they have white sclera; that helps with making him look slightly less monstrous) giant, feathered wings colored like lava, and thick-furred body colored like soil and fire. (What kind of dragon has fur and feathers, anyways?) Besides that, the mark of being a familiar adorns his leg, for lack of a better word, unable to be hidden.
Their bond:
(To help with some things, cambions and dragons both age extremely slowly! Cambions age one year in every five years; dragons age one year in every fifty-five years.)
Yes, I did math for this lmao.
(Dragons also turn fully adult at five years old [two hundred seventy-five chronologically]. At a year old [fifty-five], they’re still too small to open their eyes. Five years later [60], they’ve opened, but their teeth haven’t grown in yet. Ten years later [70], they’re able to be weaned off milk. At two years old [110], they’re able to speak. From there, the main changes are their bodies slowly changing into adulthood.)
Merlin and Charlie have been familiars for a long time: over 4,000 years. (I don’t have an exact year yet. 😓) The two of them have been best friends, and inseparable for most of their lives.
Merlin, pre-transition, as a thirteen year old (chronologically 65) on the cusp of puberty, found him abandoned by his parents in the woods. They didn’t think he’d survive for much longer; the only reason he wasn’t classified as a runt was because mammalian dragons only have one offspring at a time.
At a year old (chronologically 55), he was too small to even open his eyes, but he could hear. Merlin’s hands gently ran over his fur, murmuring soothing words, getting him used to the feeling, voice and scent of human, before he gently cradled him in his arms and took him home. The little kit would be eaten by anything opportunistic enough if he didn’t.
Adhan was used to her son’s empathetic nature, but she never expected him to bring home a dragon.
Eventually, she was convinced, though.
Merlin fed him cow’s milk from a wooden bowl, hoping that he would able to digest it. (He was, fortunately.)
He looked down at the kit, colored like soil and fire, and lava all in one, and decided to name him Charlemagne William. He wasn’t going to give him his last name just yet.
Merlin always knew he was more intelligent than an average animal, no matter what anyone else thought, and talked to him as though he was human even back then.
Soon, it became commonplace to see the two of them together, Merlin either holding the little dragon in his arms, or carrying him in the blanket that he wrapped around himself.
Charlie became more affectionate as well, always curling against his side or on his chest.
By the next five years, when Merlin aged into fourteen, there was no concept of the two ever separating, but there was confusion when Charlie stayed the same size and age. (He’d opened his eyes only recently, and his teeth weren’t coming in; he couldn’t eat solid food as a result.)
Amidst Merlin’s worry over his dragon not seeming to grow, puberty slammed into him.
And he didn’t feel like a girl. It wasn’t his clothes; he’d always loved outfits that go down to his knees or farther. It was his body.
He felt too feminine, felt like he was all blossoming curves and soft features. He hated seeing his breasts grow, and he began to bind them, hiding the fact from everyone; fortunately, his healing factor helped offset any negative effects, and everyone was focused on getting Ganieda and Vivian together, anyways.
(Ugh, romance.)
But what he would be if he wasn’t a girl? A man? (Yes, is his answer, deep down.) That was ludicrous.
This would pass.
(It did not pass.)
At night, when everything was quiet, he vented to his dragon about everything, gently cradling him in his arms. How he didn’t feel like a girl and didn’t feel at home in his body. How certain sounds set him off, and people thought he would outgrow it, but he wasn’t, and how he was terrified of telling his family these things. He had to be a good daughter.
(Charlie would nuzzle him, understanding every word, purring as loudly as he could to comfort his beloved wizard.)
Charlie finally started growing more teeth when Merlin was sixteen, chronologically eighty years and six months then. He slowly weaned his dragon, introducing him to different types of meats and other foods. Apparently, they’re omnivorous, but it’s usually easier to just eat meat instead because of their size.
Despite the relief at the fact that his dragon just aged very slowly, his body dysphoria refused to leave. He knew that it wasn’t normal to hate looking at yourself in the mirror, and hate becoming a woman. (Especially since Ganieda accepted it, and loved it, happy to grow older so she and Vivian could marry sooner.)
Sometimes, when he was sure that everyone was asleep, he’d shapeshift into a man under the moonlight streaming through his window. He’d stare at himself, reverently running his hands over his face, quietly walking around his room in the body he so desperately wanted.
But he pushed it down, keeping it a guilty secret. Womanhood was still important to him; he had to be a good daughter, a good sister, and he loved them too much to just leave. But how would they react, if he did tell them?
(Charlie always treated him with the same love, man or woman, affectionately nuzzling him and purring. His eyes held an understanding that he wished everyone else would have.)
Maybe… he could broach the topic with his mother.
He did, eventually, and she gently stroked his steadily growing locs as he curled against her, speaking in nothing louder than a whisper the whole time. (Charlie rested against his feet, quietly watching them both. Adhan easily believed her son about his intelligence, now.)
She didn’t have any advice, in the end. But she kissed his forehead and told him that she’d always love him, no matter what. And if she did end up having a son, then she’d be blessed with the most amazing one she could have.
Twenty-five years later, at twenty-one (one hundred five years old), he shapeshifted into a man again, this time using his magic to make this form his true one. He cried when he was finally able to have the body he’d wanted for so long permanently.
Charlie wrapped around his legs, nuzzling him, and he picked him up, holding his dragon close. He purred loudly, sweet and comforting, even as Merlin’s tears soaked his fur.
Another seventeen years later, when Merlin was twenty-four (one hundred twenty-two), and Charlie was two (one hundred ten); Merlin was reading by the fire, and Charlie was curled against his right side.
Charlie looked up at his wizard adoringly, letting out soft purrs. He wanted to speak, talk to him just as much, and thank him for everything he’s done.
Merlin’s hand reached down to gently scratch his head, and he leaned into the contact, wishing he could speak even more.
Maybe… he could try.
“Merlin?” He said quietly, doing his best to not wriggle in excitement so the surprise wasn’t spoiled.
His wizard looked up at the unfamiliar voice, brow furrowing in confusion. After searching the room, his gaze went back down to him. “Charlie, did you hear that?”
“Yes,” was his simple answer.
Merlin’s mouth dropped open, eyes widening in shock. “What- You just talked.”
He smiled proudly, tail thumping as his wizard’s brain broke. “You can talk.”
After the subsequent reveal, and excitement had died down, they had long conversations that lasted for hours. At the end of it, their bond had only strengthened, and now, they knew things about each other that no one else ever would.
Twenty-three more years later, when Merlin was twenty-nine (one hundred forty-five), his schizophrenia began to set in.
He began to hear people calling his name when they hadn’t; began seeing things out of the corner of his eyes, with nothing being there when he turned around, confused. His food began to taste terrible when he knew it was the same as everyone else’s, and he became terrified of it being poisoned.
Then the voices and delusions started.
They started out positive, but over time they began to tell him crueler things.
His delusions told him that someone has invaded their home and is walking around (he can hear their footsteps), bugs were crawling on his hands in the dark until he turned a light on, or touched Charlie so his glowing spread to his hands.
And they happened over, and over, and over again, but every time it was real until he came out of it and remembered that they aren’t.
At least they usually didn’t last for that long.
But his hallucinations started getting worse, and instead of just hearing nonexistent voices, people and creatures appeared.
Sometimes it made absolute sense that a stranger was in their house. And they weren’t a threat, simply doing things that made him inquire why they were there.
Charlie, who was up to his knees now, was determined to help his wizard.
He suggested putting bells on the door so Merlin can think back and remember if they rang or not before he panics about a stranger being in their house. (It isn’t foolproof, but it does help.)
When the gaps in Merlin’s memory began to get worse, it didn’t matter. He’d remember for him. He’d eat some of his food first so that he knew that it wasn’t poisoned. He’d stay awake when he was afraid of falling asleep.
Merlin took care of him first. It was his turn.
After they fought in battles, and Merlin’s sensitivity to loud noises increased, along with new trauma, his stance didn’t change.
He’d breathe on him instead of calling his name so he doesn’t get as startled, and he’d walk across a room (in the rare occasion of that) instead of yelling for him. He’d do his absolute best to not yell at someone making him angry, no matter how much he wanted to.
He’d understand when Merlin got snappy because of his senses being bombarded with too much, and never blame him for it. He’d lay his head on his stomach as a comforting weight when panic became too much.
He’d say that he loves him, and he’s not going anywhere, he never is, and repeat those words over and over again, as many times as he needs to.
Merlin was sixty-five (three hundred twenty-five), when he became immortal. He could’ve used the spell that makes aging stop at thirty, like Ganieda, but the main reasons he didn’t was because he wanted to have natural white hair, not just changing his hair color, and he thought looking older would make him seem more distinguished. (If he’d aged badly, he would’ve shifted back to his younger appearance and kept the white hair. He didn’t, though.)
Charlie was a fully grown adult at five years old (three hundred thirteen), and just his head was as big as Merlin’s torso.
They went flying together now, and Merlin had crafted a saddle himself. Sometimes it was just a slow, leisurely fly for the sake of it; sometimes it was high speed, filled with loops and falling through the air. They still hardly ever argued about anything, but in the very rare occasion they did, they’d stay in the same room, spending time together in silence so they can calm down and see the other’s point of view. They always, always talked things out in the end.
They share the same feelings towards each other: I love you. I love you so much that I can’t fathom spending time away from you unless it’s absolutely necessary, and I’ve willingly chosen to stay with you for the rest of our lives. This bond was formed by a labor of love, and nothing can ever separate us, except for death.
I know things about you that no one else ever will. Typical familial terms like father figure or brother don’t fit us, because our relationship is far too complex to dilute it down into one role.
Soft whispers and gentle touches define us.
I am not leaving you. I am never leaving you.
One morning, after they woke up intertwined together, like always, there was a mark of swirls and leaves on Charlie’s right front leg, and when Merlin looked at his own body, there was one on his right bicep.
No one knew what they meant, until Merlin’s throat was slit after an ambush.
He didn’t die immediately. He choked on his own blood for at least ten minutes before he passed out, terrified of dying, hoping Charlie was safe, and would be able to recover in the end.
He woke up in a meadow filled with flowers, any signs of his violent death gone.
Before he could panic, a voice called his name.
He turned to see a being with completely dark, blue-ish gray skin.
Her hair, braided in a fishtail, long, feathered wings that almost dragged on the ground, and eyes, subtly glowing, were all completely white.
Golden earrings pierced her ears; a necklace of the same color with a red gem rested against her neck. A circlet that matched both was on her head.
Amara, goddess of life.
He immediately knelt in front of her, averting his eyes. He knew the legends, had seen paintings and murals of her. But why was she here?
Charlie appearing out of nowhere startled him. Completely forgetting about proper etiquette in front of a goddess, he ran to his dragon, stroking his fur and hugging him tightly.
Charlie hadn’t been hurt at all, unlike him. He didn’t know what had happened; he’d been trying to find him since their separation, and suddenly… he was here.
Amara had been quietly watching, smiling. She offered to explain, making both of them look at her; Merlin sheepishly apologized for his lack of decorum. She laughed and waved it off, understanding.
Charlie rested his head against his chest, and Merlin carded his fingers through his fur after they sat down. Amara explained that Merlin wasn’t going to die permanently: his heritage of being the former Anti-Christ had given him resurrective immortality. It was far more pragmatic than to make a new Anti-Christ every time one died. The markings on the two of them were from them becoming familiars, a bond of a precious animal companion and a wizard.
Charlie had received some of Merlin’s powers without them realizing it, which meant that if one of them died, they both would, and they would resurrect together. They also had a telepathic bond, like Merlin and Ganieda.
There was no spell to perform for them to become familiars. It was because they loved each other that much.
They’re still one of the only familiar pairs in the world, even now. Many wizards have animal companions, of course, but none of them have formed that bond created by a labor of love.

I'm very disappointed that centaur zuko is a dragon but centaur toph isn't a badger
Sorry! Zuko is a dragon due to how I made the Royals in the verse have super special specialness via being dragon bloods. Zuko and Azula were legit "born to be special" and Zuko in this verse feels he doesn't live up to the task. It's sort of how I incorporated the whole "the royal family is blessed/favored by Agni" thing to this AU. The only dragons in this world are those who descend from the royal family, hence why Jet mentions how "being a dragon just means he's a royal".
This is also why he's able to pass as other species though, you don't see a dragon every day. You kind of assume if they don't have horns or are a weird color they're probably some other kind of lizard hybrid, and Zuko spends the majority of the first arc with his horns sawn off as part of his banishment. They regrow quickly once he joins Azula and goes home because dragon horns just be like that and grow back kinda fast if not continuously filed back down. This is also why he has a larger set in some pictures and none/smaller sets in others.
Toph isn't a badgermole because Toph learns from them the same as in the show. Where Zuko was legit born to be special and powerful and fails to embody it in ways his Father and he himself wants, Toph just says "screw fitting the mold" and learns to be powerful and do things outside of her "nature" by finding the origin of her element without being directly related to it in the same sense Zuko is. I did originally consider making her a badger or something similar but having her be a more unassuming animal felt like it fit her origin a bit better. The whole "small and frail" image society had of her. Zuko later learns from the original dragons, too, just like in the show. Because despite being dragons themselves in a way the royals have not honored their elements origin through anything but boasting appearances in a long time.
Hybrids of the original benders of course did exist at one time, and maybe still do, but they would likely be much rarer now after the Fire Nation started the war and are probably also more limited to people who have a special link to the origins. I haven't put much thought into that yet, beyond that the Fire Nation probably makes it very unsafe to be a descendant of those lines due to wanting all the power over them? Still world building on that part.
Toph really ends up helping Zuko accept that he doesn't have to just be the perfect whatever he is in this verse as well. She learned to be herself despite what she was born to be in the eyes of others, she helps Zuko understand that he can learn to be who he is despite the same. Sibling energy wins the day.
Basically, Zuko was purposefully made after what his bending element came from because it puts the pressure of perfection on him. Toph isn't because Toph just learns it from them herself because Toph is awesome and special in a different way. Her own way. The way she chose for herself in a way. Zuko thinks he is stuck trying to fit in a slot he's not made to fit, Toph just punched a hole to make it fit herself because she can and wanted to and who was gonna stop her?
Hope I explained this well enough to get the idea across, sorry if it's nonsensical and rambly I just woke up lol. I'll elaborate if something doesn't make sense. But this is the general idea I had behind why Zuko matches his elemental origin but no one else does. At least no one we've seen in the main Gaang.

How well would your AC OCs do in DA and vice versa? Who's having a great time and who's hating every second of it?
(For the sake of this experiment all the characters know that they will be returned to their native universes once the main plot is over + they get a birief loredump at the start of their journey so they have a vague idea of what's going on and what they're supposed to do)
That's an interesting ask.
I think both groups of my OCs would be mostly confused about templars, because in one series templars are ultimate villians thinking they can control the world and bring utopia via total submission of humankind, while for other group of OCs Templars are mage herding religious police force, so there would be confusions on both sides.
A lot of also depends on the particuliar games/stories each OC would switch places with. With DA OCs it's easy because these three follow particuliar canon stories, while my AssCreed OCs follow their own stories made by me, but let's say Mira switches places with Gerard, Elio with Arioniel and Morrigan with Tallah.
Mira as Hero of Ferelden: oh she would be driven to stop the blight and utterly loyal to Grey Wardens, even if her temper would make her have some negative relationships with her team.
Gerard as Mesyaf Assassin: Just terrible. He is not scholarly and in general struggles with disciplines other than fighting and strategy. He's ultimate leader, but at the same time has nasty sense of sarcasm and is wildly independent person. Gerard would be that one smartass assassin everyone dislikes... Pretty much early Altaïr, but less cynnical, more an asshole...
Elio as Champion of Kirkwall: Elio scored pretty close as he and Arion are pretty similiar and have similiar personalities/views, though Elio is much more of a bookish, nerdy, introvert type. Still Elio probs would still be blue/diplomatic but I doubt he would have stuck with Kirkwall for entire storyline, as he is less martyr coded. Dude is realist and doesn't fight for hopeless causes
Arion as Italian Assassin: Well Arion is actually already an assassin in da2, so he woud excell as member of Brotherhood, but his desire to fix things for better would make him bit of red flag among the assassins. Idk it's hard to picture him as Ezio's kid tho as originally Ario had great relationship with his own father
Morrigan as Inquisitor: Oh dear God save us all... Morrigan would be way more strict and "red" and would be seen as tyrant Inquisitor. She doesn't mean to be evil, but she has lost belief in good of humans long time ago and acts on her personal needs and code, which would often oppose more diplomatic groups.
Tallah as Templar Agent: Seriously that would be a comedy show. Tallah is way too gentle giant to be a templar or ever side with templars (I mean Tallah is pretty much Connor, but with actual sense of humor). I am pretty sure my man would betray templars for assassins first chance given, and if anyone stood in his way, it's their funeral...
Hope I managed to answer your ask at least somewhat. It's hard to imagine how these characters would act in different enviroment and their individual stories kinda form them as people as story goes. Besides my AssCreed OCs are much more tied to century long assassin/templar conflict, while my Dragon Age OCs appear in different stories and have different attitudes.
