Broke (2016): BBC Sherlock is a phenomenal piece of media and anything that seems like a flaw just hasn't been fully explored yet
Woke (2020): BBC Sherlock is an incredibly flawed series run by an egotistical writer, it never deserved the hype and is actively bad on so many fronts (especially representation)
Bespoke (2024): BBC Sherlock is flawed and bogged down by increasingly poor writing, which many fans refused to see while it was airing, leading to hugely misplaced expectations (particularly for the final series), AND it has the seeds of some compelling characterizations and portrayals, some genuinely solid performances, and touches--albeit imperfectly--on complexities that are still being discussed today (particularly as it relates to the relationship between Sherlock and John). The huge cultural impact of the show has created a massive pendulum effect in its public perception, leading to most people today remembering a caricature of the show (whether positive or negative) rather than appreciating its nuanced merits and failings...that being said Season 4 sucked

Aw man I was making tea and we were out of honey and I had to use sugar and I really like honey much more on my tea (thank you bees) and don't really like sugar. And I fucked up the measurement and put too much sugar and now the tea is too sweet!!
I don't like sweets! Even the chocolate I eat is dark chocolate!!
I am so sleep deprived rn...... because I was rereading Liz and Wes moments from the BTTM book since I got excited about NLTM for no reason, and than the entire ending part of the book, and than the basketball game chapter from Wes' pov. And than I saw that it was 4 am and I had to wake up at 6:15 am........
I don't even know what I'm typing anymore. I want a coffee so bad but it's 5:15 pm and I will literally stay awake until 2 am if I drink one now. And that's why I'm drinking tea✨ It's wild berry tea! The only tea flavor I actually enjoy drinking..... The british and the asians don't kill me-
I just love wild berry as a flavor! My favorite flavor of all time!! Ice cream, cake, jam, tea, candy! It's so good because it's not that sweet and it's kind of sour so yayyyyyyy!!!!!!!
You know who else would like wild berry flavored thing? CHOI JUNG SOO!!!! OMG HE JUST LIKE ME FR AJEFVXGNFVHGVHFCV!!!!
............ What was this post about again? I really need a nap
Oh crap I need to charge my phone. Like I'm writing this on the laptop but I remembered I need to charge my phone
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK I need to work on my assignments
Sleep well kids don't be like me. Or do because I'm 70% more funny when I'm about to pass out
Ah crap I finished my tea writing this
I wanna read TCF now....

Booktok was fun at first simply for the novelty of it but like after months on that algorithm like. Half of the content is just people reducing books to tropes and being like "here are books with this trope" or "what are books with this trope???" or "we need more books with this trope1!!1!" Like oh my GOD I'm taking the word trope away from y'all and putting it up on the shelf. Not bc ur using it wrong but bc ur being fucking annoying about it now

its muddy everywhere, your boots are soaked your jacket is soaked your pants are soaked, you don't even care anymore as you sit down beside your best friend. he became your best friend after the other one died. you want to tell him you love him, but its cold. he is warm tho. so you lean in a bit. but not too much, people will see. is it too much to share a cup? maybe it is but you do it, who cares anymore, you're all so cold. he is warm tho. you lean in a bit more.

i wasn’t trying to be rude it’s just odd to me that you’re on The Fandom Website making fun of one of the things it was built on, especially considering we’re the same age. it seems impossible to grow up even tangentially related to fandom and not EVER see it to the point where you assume it’s a made up word from freaking tiktok. i was telling you a new fact that i think is interesting and good to know not trying to “drag you into discourse”.
i didnt really think i was making fun of fandom/fanfics, but i get that, i just found the original ask annoying, thats all. what i was getting at is that i dont think its a big deal that i never heard that word before, and i thought your tone was oddly condescending for something thats not that deep. but ik im always on the defense and i assume everyones condescending me, so it very much makes sense if i misinterpreted your tone. also my comment about you dragging me into discourse was a joke btw, i dont actually think youre doing that in the slightest lol. it seems to me that we're both simply misunderstanding each other's tones
