"Did you listen to that song I sent you?" You ask, turning to Tommy next to you.

He shyly and slowly shakes his head no.

"Bro, why not?"

"I forgot! I forgot, I swear" He half-laughs, raising his hands in defense before the play fighting and shouting began. "I meant to listen to it when you sent it to me but I was eating with Molly and fell asleep watching a movie"

Ranboo raises an eyebrow, "What song?"

"Yeah! by Ludacris"

"Oh my God I love that song!" Ranboo and Freddie exclaim in unison, sending the three of you into fits of laughter.

Tubbo is silent as he sits in front of his setup, just watching you talk for a moment. He then speaks up, confused.

"Tommy, have you never listened to Yeah?"

"No, I don't think so" The blonde answers with a shrug. "Y/n was talking about how it's an American classic or something"

"You sound so stupid right now" Ranboo chuckles.

Within the span of the next minute or so, it turned into you, Ranboo, and Freddie singing a portion of the song since Tubbo couldn't play it on stream, the two T's just watching and listening. This was quite usual, just, odd, but it made sense because the three of you were all running off of adrenaline and coffee at this point. The sun had set long ago, it was about midnight, and you were all having a sleepover anyways, so why not make the stream fun before you all passed out?

"Up in the club with my homies, trying to get a lil V-I, keep it down on the lowkey" Ranboo, starts, pulling you into the song halfway through the line as the others begin to smile and laugh.

"You should know how it feels" You look to the Webcam with the weird TikTok fuckboy look, a sideways L made from your pointer finger and thumb under your chin.

Freddie joins in by the next line, on your left, slinging an arm around your shoulders, which starts a slight school-play-remix of the song.

"I seen shorty, she was checking on me, from the game she was spitting in my ear, you would think that she know me" Freddie runs a hand through his hair to fix it up a bit.

The three of you turn it into a full-blown trio song, singing together as Tubbo and Tommy laugh and smile, with the chat spamming the lyrics along.

"I decided to chill, conversation got heavy, she had me feeling like she was ready to blow!" Ranboo giggles, trying to maintain their composure. "She's saying come get me, so I got up and followed her to the floor. She said baby let's go!"

The loudest point of the song now came, with Tubbo moving towards the side so you could be in full focus of the camera while Tommy records you three to the side, wanting to show Molly.

"When I told her, I said yeah! Shorty got down low, said 'come and get me!"

The three of you begin dancing in your seats as you sing along, hiding laughter, which was evident in the way you sang-shouted. You go through the whole song, including a tap-dancing bit from Ranboo, which you didn't understand whatsoever. But, as time passes, the five of you begin to delve into the deep abyss of 5 Minute Crafts and Troom Troom on stream, creating a whole section of commentary together.

"This has to be fetish content." You comment, watching in creeped-out-awe as the video is just about people sitting on and squishing things.

"I can't see how it isn't" Ranboo shrugs, "Who is watching this?"

"Probably like, middle aged moms, you'd think" Tubbo replies, "Or like, brainrotted YouTube Kids children"

"Probably the latter"

The group votes on no more Troom Troom, feeling genuinely weirded out by some of the stuff on their page. You get Tubbo to pull up 5 Minute Crafts, a much better option.

"I hope that slide caves in" Tommy comments, seeing a thumbnail or a slide being made out of cardboard boxes.

"Me too, brother" You smile, "I mean how would it not? That child looks like they're maybe 80 pounds, this is a safety violation"

"Oh my God" Tubbo speaks, resting his head in his hands.

Freddie is the first to laugh, doubling over in his chair as Tubbo clicks on the video with the cursed thumbnail. "Did you see that?"

"Y/n was right, this has to be fetish content"

"What fetish includes eating off of toilet seats!?" Tommy loudly questions, seeing you stare into space out of shock and concern.

"That's probably the worst idea to solve that problem too, like, it'll still roll off and it hurts to have a whole toilet seat around your neck, ceramic or not" Ranboo chuckles, repositioning to sit criss-cross in their chair.

"Oh my God" You cringe, "Why are we putting pounds of garlic into a stick of butter??"

"I bet you that texture is so rank when you taste it..." Tommy cringes as well, seeing the oil being frozen after baking for reusable purposes. "It looks chunky!"

Freddie fake gags, crying about how he wanted to go home.

"Okay, no more!" Tubbo chuckles, clicking away to the YouTube home page. "Enough of that, I feel myself losing braincells"

Tommy shouts, hands to his mouth to create more sound. "Troom Troom for president 2024!"

"And I thought what we had was already awful"

As a tubbling, sorry for the extra neg thrown towards your streamer’s cubito. In case you weren’t aware, long story short, while the permadeath was out of nowhere for the streamers and their viewers, it’s been a long time coming for the tubblings and egg admins. Like we couldn’t make it angstier even if we tried kkkkkkkkk. And when we saw our cubito’s issues be overlooked and joked about again (obvious to tubbo viewers but not to anyone else because god forbid qtubbo communicates), even after his own death, we got so frustrated and lashed out at whoever was loudest and it happened to be phil. Which one makes sense for him to do since they’re literally close irl friends and two is also unfair to him because when he did realize the seriousness of it, he immediately went to help. So yeah honestly sorry again for that, hope what I said sorta makes sense and while it’s more likely to happen to qphil, it can and will happen to every character, tubbo included lmao. Can’t speak for everyone but I’ll try to chill out a bit 🤏 Who knew that the rarest thing on the qsmp would be emotional intelligence wow im so shocked 😮 (<-has watched phil and tubbo for years i am not shocked) KKKKKKK have a good day lol :D

And yeah, I follow enough tubblings either here or on Ao3 that I was aware of what the tubbling perspective is in terms of Tubbo's issues being overlooked, once I thought about it. And like, that's part of the tragedy of tubbo isn't it, that he's has been setting up this angst where other streamers don't see it, but even when he does it where they CAN see it, they take it as bits, because that's how they view Tubbo and because at a certain point of sarcasm, saying "i'm having a terrible day and I kind of want to die" still gets read as a joke because you said it yesterday as a joke. (Ran into that issue in my real life, actually.) He's having a painful time, but everybody goes "oh tubbo" about it.

Thank you for the understanding of my perspective too, cause I was sitting through that stream like "oh man, Phil keeps bringing up to the eggs that it's gonna be okay, we're gonna get him back, hehe the create wrench I wonder if Tubbo will let that bring him back to life, oh that's quite sweet, he does care about Tubbo so much" and then I stepped onto the dash and saw the reaction and went OH NO THE OTHER PERSPECTIVE I FORGOT THAT NOT EVERYBODY PROCESSES EVERYTHING THROUGH JOKES and scrolled in dismay. It's obvious to me that cc!Phil cares a lot about Tubbo and I think q!phil cares a lot too, he just— thought it was a joke at first. every time a famous streamer walks by he will yell it out and record it then vlog your reaction, even if they’re surrounded with bodyguards & trying to get to another place quickly

he’d zoom in his camera to their face at a horrible angle and be like

but he gets completely ignored

surprisingly techno is really calm despite this being like one of his first conventions

but when he finally settles in and gets comfortable, he’s showing the same energy

if you’re playfully yelling, he will yell back

however there’s still those awkward moments that are unavoidable

idk why but something about him makes me think that if you feel tired and want to go back to your hotel room, he’d go with you just to make sure you get there safe

he probably also needs a break from being around everyone else for a moment too LMAO

i could also see him searching far and wide in the artist alley for fanart of himself AHAHAH

walking around with him in the convention consists of someone yelling “BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD” every 5 minutes but you don’t really mind

something about him makes me think he’ll be forced into playing minecraft twitch rivals along with the rest of sbi or smth

and he’s like “oh god, i’m going to be on stage? and people will see my face while i play minecraft?”

when it becomes late at night, techno is like half conscious, you’re on your phone, wilbur is staring out the window & enjoying the night view, tommy is passed out on the couch from tiredness, tubbo & ranboo is still wide awake quietly talking, and phil & niki are helping clean up the giant mess

eventually everyone brings themselves to go back to their own room except tommy who won’t budge

you give techno a look and he immediately understands what you were thinking

he rushes to the bathroom to fill up two cups with ice cold water and handed one to you

“on three?”

then both of you pour the water on the poor child’s face

he jolts awake and saying a string of curses

“get out” is the only think techno says that before tommy rushes out with his stuff and you leave right after

This has been in my drafts since October 2nd during tickletober, lmao can you tell I procrastinate? Anyways I like this fic and wanted to get it finished, so here it is finally!

Prompt: Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo play Truth or Dare while streaming one night.

“Tommy, truth or dare?”

Tubbo sat cross legged in a circle with Tommy and Ranboo. Tommy was staying over at Tubbo’s for the night, so the three of them were staying up all night streaming, messing around and playing games.

They had asked chat for some ideas, and one that caught their eye was Truth or Dare. It was perfect, finally they were playing a game in person and not a video game like always.

“Truth.”

“Aw come on, you always pick truth!” Tubbo complained.

Tommy sat up straighter to look at Tubbo, “like you haven’t picked truth almost all night too!”

“Do you even know you? If I picked dare you’d make me eat a worm or something!”

They both burst out laughing at their own banter.

“Wait, Tubbo I’ve actually thought of a good truth!” Ranboo exclaimed, and whispered the idea to his roommate.

Tommy started getting nervous from the smirk that appeared on Tubbo’s face. It couldn’t be that bad right? He could get out of it, truth was easy cause normally if you need to you can just lie and-

“Tommy are you ticklish?”

Tommy tried to run. He really did, but Ranboo was fast, and when he decided to help Tubbo, he grabbed Tommy before he could get very far. He wrapped his long arms around the boy and set him back down in the circle.

“NO RANBOO STOP! PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW OR I’LL- AH!”

Tommy squeaked as Tubbo kneeled down next to him and poked his side.

Tubbo started laughing at him, “oho my gohahad, how did I not figure this out sooner?”

“Shuhut it!” Tommy didn’t giggle, not at all.

“Hey chat!” Ranboo called out. Shit, Tommy had completely forgotten they were still streaming. “Get a poll going, where is Tommy most ticklish?”

“Nohohoho chat leheheave!” Tommy’s face went red and he wasn’t sure whether to cover it, or block Tubbo’s hands from his ribs.

Tubbo stood up to check what chat was saying while Ranboo dug his fingers into Tommy’s sides from behind.

“Seems like his sides are pretty bad,” Ranboo said over Tommy’s laughter.

“StohAhaHAhAp!”

“Armpits are winning the poll,” Tubbo reported, “try that!”

Ranboo tried to move his hands up but was struggling, Tommy had glued his arms to his sides and wasn’t moving.

“Uh Tubbo, could you help please?”

“I’d love to!” Tubbo ran back over to his friends and grabbed Tommy’s wrists.

Tommy was stubborn, and it took until Ranboo started scribbling around his neck for Tommy’s shoulders to go up. His guard went down and he forgot what he was doing, and Ranboo laughed as he drilled his thumbs into Tommy’s armpits.

“Wahait, RahaHAnboo! NohahHAHAHA STAHAHAP!”

“Chat called it!” Tubbo laughed with them. He decided to add to the torture and began squeezing down Tommy’s legs.

Tommy squealed as Tubbo’s hands reached his knees. “FUHUHUCK YOU BOHOHOTH!” He leaned further back into Ranboo which made the scratching on his ribs worse. He was getting tired and finally let himself relax into the tickles and let his head fall back on his friend’s shoulder.

Ranboo noticed the change in Tommy’s demeanor and let up a little on his sides, switching to tracing little circles around his belly. He giggled at his friend’s contagious laughter right next to his ear. He let his hair fall in front of his face to shake it around Tommy’s neck, causing squeaky giggles to flow out replacing the usual boisterous laughter that Tommy was known for.

Tubbo noticed the slight change in Tommy’s laughter and slowed down too, eventually just tracing his fingers around and under Tommy’s knees.

“Yohuhu twoho suhuhuck,” Tommy giggled at all the light tracing and tickling happening around his body. He wasn’t used to this much attention, but he couldn’t say he didn’t enjoy it.

“Aww he’s blushing,” Tubbo giggled.

“Shuhut up,” Tommy joked and tried to cover his blush, but with the genuine happy smile glued to his face, Tubbo knew he wasn’t too embarrassed.

Ranboo pushed Tommy up into a sitting position, and watched as Tommy curled his legs up to his chest to protect himself from the ghost tickles. “Let’s mohove on,” Ranboo said, still giggling from the playfulness of the situation.

“Okay, ummm, Ranboo, truth or dare?” Tommy asked.

“Dare,” Ranboo didn’t want to risk getting asked the same question, but somehow, Tommy still found a way.

Tommy smiled evilly, “I dare you to hold your arms up for a whole minute, and you aren’t allowed to put them down, no matter what.”

Ranboo somehow showed both fear and excitement, even with the mask and glasses covering his face.

Well that was a strange and oddly sad interlude. The middle was just the wildest of rides, but the end still managed to ground it back, mostly. 13 did NOT HURT in that regard honestly lol. I feel like I’ve definitely lost some momentum by splitting things up like this -- my recommendation to anyone watching is Definitely to shotgun it if you can do so safely. Its such a well written arc, even and up to including silly streams like this, and its a shame not to have watched it all at once.

STILL! Looking forward to seeing Drista, that little chaos godling has grown on me quite a bit, not least of all BECAUSE she’s a chas godling with creative mode lol.
