Got CSP thanks to a friend. Immediately hated it. Found a $5 blender addon that provided the same service we initially downloaded it for but better, faster, and with less annoying fiddling.

Starstreak could feel its coaxing against heated plating; jumping and taking flight out to nowhere. To nowhere, he would be found. Nowhere that demanded he shoulder the burdens of a state. To nowhere where he could be free. He sighed dreamily, leaning on the railing.. Letting more of the delightful breeze wash over him, wings fluttering. 

Peace was snatched from the red seeker. Something had just touched his ankle! His whole body jerked back, cautiously tilting head down. To see what exactly it was… and what greeted him? A servo clenched so tightly on the balcony edge that Starstream could see the slight tremor of it. Stepping back further as another arm hooked itself around the bauster. Now he could hear the rattling of this mystery mech's vents before his head peeked out from the edge. “What's up Sweetspark?”

@deliicacymercy is a year older and I get to bully her cause of it!! Over on her Insta she asked for her birthday for us to draw oc x canon stuff but I got to her before that post was conceptualised. She asked for a little something from my fanfic drafts and I couldn't say no to the future birthday girl.

Fucking ANIMATION

I'm not even trying to animate a character or anything, its literally just, make rain look like its falling and a glitch effect at one point. If I knew how this shit worked it'd probably be the easiest thing in the world, but I don't, I'm not even familiar with the program, and Clip Studio's......everything is so fucking overwhelming, they don't break shit down at all, there's so many icons, you can't see shit, is there even a box for animation bullshit or is it literally just that drop down menu that you have to do everything through, because if so I hate that thing's guts, I HAVE all the images, literally all I want is to put them all together and fuck around with the timing so it looks fluid and then leave it as a gif, why is that so hard, I fucking hate Clip Studio, the bane of my fucking existence

hey if this *really* doesn't bother you, i've recently been tired of the main drawing program i use (medibang), and i draw using a table + pen. i basically keep trying to draw this art the way i want it. problem is, the lines aren't really... "perfect" no matter how much correction/stabilization i put on it. it's like the smallest detail that has me like "gah, i hate this" /srs

so then i was looking at your art, and wow, the curves/lines are perfect like the way i would want to draw them. so then, (as embarrassing as this sounds lol) i tried other programs such as krita, paintdotnet, etc. seeing if they would get the type of curves i wanted, and ended up sleep depriving myself like... ouch. never felt so desperate to perfect a few pixels on my screen in my whole life.

like i said again, if this really doesn't bother you. could you recommend some programs to use for drawing or what kind of program you use? this would be very helpful! thanks! /pos ^^

not a problem at all! i mostly kept the pen settings for crew usage but i dont see why i cant share them for fans to use for fanart/fancomics/etc. i use firealpaca SE (but the regular edition of the program should work fine too) with a stabilizer of 40.

this is the exact brush i use, this pen pressure correction keeps the brush tapering from getting super thin, which is a huge characteristic of the lineart we do for the modern comic. i dont like the super thin tapering anymore, the thicker ends look much cleaner and they're easier for our artists to replicate.

i actually have different 'size' brushes saved, so i dont have to keep editing my pen size manually for when i do different sizes. they all have the same stabilization, just different sizes.

sometimes i edit the size if im doing a different angle/shot than the default one i do for my general art

Because, really? For all the people who want to insist 'it's just a tool, you shouldn't hate it; learn to use it', That is how it should be.

If an artist coded a script on their method of making backgrounds or hairstyles and then used it on their own work/own content, no one would have an issue with that because that's already more or less how things like Artist Original brushes for CSP, MediBang, and Krita work.

But the core reason why people have issue with it is the fact that so many of the people behind the current slew of AI software act like middle schoolers on the early 2010s internet: 'Oh, well, it's online so that means I can use it, you can't stop me; if you don't want others using your work, that's a you problem, lol'.

I got better at art by picking one character and obsessively drawing them in very different scenarios lmao

It helps if you learn to love art. I know its trendy that oh art is the bane of my existence, its so hard, I hate art and all that, but I genuinely think going along with those jo,es can hurt your progression in art because eventually you WILL start to hate art and it'll feel a chore. I think you should love what you make regardless of how bad it is, because you are making something entirely your own

The more you love it, the more you wanna draw, the more practice you get, and the more you improve

I use medibang (i had to do the subscription cause I wanted to use the extra tools lol also the ads,,) and I usually sketch with the pencil or charcoal brushes, lineart with charcoal or g pen, and render with pencil and wet watercolor brush (both at 50% opacities)
