OML OKAY i like john green too <3 i love looking for alaska. i recently read turtles all the way down and oof it hit really hard. next on my tbr is papertowns and then i’ll be done with all of his books (hi i’m obsessed with his writing style hkjg) and ooh i haven’t read any from j.d. salinger. the catcher in the rye is the only book of his i’ve heard of </3 i’ll check him out soon. YUSSSUH i love dystopian books too. dkfjg this just made me realise that they made up almost 60% of my life as a bookworm. the maze runner is my favourite out of all i’ve read !! the adrenaline rush it gave was unparalleled. i’ve also read hunger games, divergent, ready player one and a few more from the dystopian genre but i don’t remember them rn. also unless my physics books count for smth, no i’m not reading anything 😭😭 i was reading war storm by victoria aveyard (the red queen series.) and it’s going good but i’m taking a break bc exams </3

why i chose my url: dates back to my intense summer of binge reading J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Vishous was my favorite of the brothers haha. i first used this username in some random game on my nintendo ds lol

how many people are you following: 358 which somehow feels like a lot but also like way too few?? i should probably search for some new blogs with other topics than cql, bts and/or dmbj bc i do love a lot of things at once

average hours of sleep: i’d say around 7h

lucky numbers: i remember answering 5 previously? i don’t really have a lucky number but 5 pops into my head

instruments: nope, no. not touching those tyvm. i admire everyone who can play any instrument tho

what i’m currently wearing: black jeans, socks with foxes on them (plus my woolly socks), a gray cardigan (my fave thing ever!) and an orange/brown top

dream job: writer would be ideal but that is very faaaaar into the dream zone

dream trip: around different parts of asia to taste all the amazing food ;; maybe a road trip of sorts through europe? or inter railing? another trip to london bc i miss that ;; a trip to the very northern part of lapland to see all the auroras etc! i’ve never been that far north :’D

fave food: if i need to quickly name something then sushi. otherwise am pretty fine with anything spicy

top three fictional universes you’d like to live in: i remember thinking about this a lot the last time i answered this but hmm. currently i’d say dmbj still bc that world is fascinating AND i would love to talk to the characters. mass effect would be the second one currently bc i miss those games and the space stuff is super cool! and the third one would be assassin’s creed rogue bc that is my fave ac game and i like the northern sea and the places in it AND i could probably be one of abstergo’s employees instead and just test/play those simulation games haha

Last Song: am currently listening to my playlist with just everything so i have Andrew Belle’s The Enemy playing right now (also I only just now realized that Andrew Belle also sings Pieces which is one of my fave songs? my bff linked that to me after it played in some tv series she was watching)

Last Movie Last Stream: i didn’t want to mention the same movie again or skip this question and i’ve wanted to talk about this anyway so! i watched Liu Chang’s bday live last night :’D it was so much fun even if i couldn’t understand anything. it was just nice to watch him being himself and have fun and chill with his fans. also the songs were amazing ;; i cried with Liu Sang’s character song as well as the ending. and all the while i couldn’t turn my gaze away from his eyes! he has such pretty eyes and they were absolutely Sparkling throughout the whole stream, it was so nice :’)

Currently Reading: Devotions by Mary Oliver (i adore her poems! they’re a very nice change after Siken haha) and then some uni stuff for a course about culture and mental health plus my thesis

Currently Watching: Douluo Continent, Word of Honor, The Long Ballad

all of these are amazing and make me feel different things! i started Douluo Continent just a while ago and am now on ep 16 i think? it’s been very pretty and very chill and i watch it during the weekend while i wait for new episodes to the other two :’D it’s nice to see Xiao Zhan again and i’ve enjoyed the rpg game type of feeling in it? the group of seven is doing amazing and it’s interesting to watch them craft their team work! Word of Honor again has reached the ending and i just hold my breath with it. am not too far gone with it so i am not getting as heavy feelings about it as i probably could but i enjoy it alot still and i do cry at times ^^ and then The Long Ballad has just blown me away! i didn’t expect to love it this much and be this invested in it but everything about it has been such a positive surprise and it keeps making me super emotional! i love the characters and the story and the romances even! it’s a great accomplishment for me. also yes i cry on the daily bc of hao du and bc of ashile sun’s hair haha

(i am also rewatching Ultimate Note kind of and been thinking about getting into rewatching Reboot bc it has been on my list ever since i finished it)

What is antipoetry to you: okay hmm i had to google this too and have to agree with Kiddo here. i don’t have strong feelings about poetry tbh, i wasn’t into poetry that much before maybe a bit over year ago? Siken has really blown me away haha. but i have always loved song lyrics which i never thought as poetry but then Kiddo said to me that they consider them poetry and yeah ok. i agree? so idk poetry can be whatever i suppose. i’ve never seen any rules in it anyway. i know there are many rules for different types of poetry but then again. i feel like poetry has always been just words put together to feel things and i guess that is the core purpose of every written type of art in the end right?

Currently craving: a drama as good and as personal as The Journey Across the Night. that show really just stole my heart and i want that feeling back. i think about that show every day. i miss Li Jia and his two partners. i miss the vibes. i miss sitting on my floor watching it and just sobbing my heart out haha. also! craving a properly subbed, whole version of Anti-Fraud League. only the first 12 eps are badly subbed out there. wetv has... blocked? deleted? the whole show??? i need it to my life, i wanna see Xiao Yuliang being cute as Mi Ruo and i wanna know where the story goes smh

well, since right now i work at a clothes shop as a part time just for money and not my actual job bc i haven’t graduated yet, when people find out what i study at uni the first thing they usually ask me is what im planning to do in the future. when they find out where im from, they don’t ask anything tbh? kdjsk i mean if a non turkish person finds out im from turkey, they don’t really ask anything but i get different reactions from different ppl (both good and bad reactions unfortunately). i haven’t watched a movie in a long time so i can’t really remember, the last movie i watched was parasite, and tbh almost every scene in that movie gave me goosebumps. i’d probably give a 20 minute presentation about love or lgbt rights or instersectional feminism without needing preparation, cause those are the things im most passionate about. my favorite games to play? im not into playing games anymore but i used to play gta or the sims a lot when i was younger jdhdksd damn i miss those times :( preparing good traditional food takes a lot time, or studying for a difficult exam takes a lot time, but when you get a good grade or your food turns out delicious, it’s all worth it (idk what im saying as u can see im slowly using my mind sjdksjdks)

*gasp* a replies post! A long replies post! A long replies post where I overshare again! *o* Yeah I kinda missed doing these. I’m now at home, but won’t be for much longer. First, I’m going to meet some of my new classmates on Friday and I’ll spend the whole weekend with them! We’re going somewhere...well I don’t even know where that is, just that it’s in nature and I’ve never been there before! Thank gods we’re meeting at the main station in Prague, or else I wouldn’t get there myself. Then on Moday, I have to go to my uni, and then once more on Wednesday I think? And on Wednesday, I’ll have to wake up at 4 am. my LiFe Is SoOoOOOoO HaRd oH mY gOd. No, I’ll be fine.

And a month from now, I’ll be moving to my dorm. That’s some crazy stuff. I can’t believe it’s happening. Last week, my dad actually took me to Prague and we went to see where it is. The location reminds me a lot of my home, but I won’t tell you what exactly that is because no one needs to know that. Anyway, school starts in October. I’m actually looking forward to studying, but the “living alone in a big city with people I’ve never seen before” part is scary. D: I’ll give you updates.

Anyway, today was a weird day. First, I sat alone by the lake when these two guys came and talked to me (I didn’t mind that actually, they were kinda nice), then when I got up and said I had to go home, one of them complimented my legs...which would’ve been really nice but then he basically implied he’d go to bed with me...and like literally five minutes ago he said he had a girlfriend...basically men are scary. Then later, mum and I went grocery shopping and I saw my middle school crush with his girlfriend...and decided that his girlfriend is cute, way cuter than him actually...bisexual culture I guess, crushing on your middle school crush’s girlfriend lmao. Then we went to pay for our groceries and the cashier...was my childhood friend who also happened to be my first crush and also my last crush and these days I’m wondering if I’m really crushing on him or if I’m just holding onto him because I don’t know any better. Long story but if you ever feel like I have a thing for childhood friends to lovers trope, maybe blame him.

*hugs* We're our own worst critics. I used to cringe at my old stuff too, but really it was decent. I might have learned more since then, but it was still good. I'm glad you can see the good in yours. :)

I’m definitely not as hard at my younger self anymore. I went and read some of my stories written when I was 13-14, and I tried to look at it that way. They weren’t perfect, but maybe they were good for a child of that age. I mean, I always got good grades on my writing homework, and my teachers have always liked how I worked with words, so...yeah, it’s not perfect, but I’m not going to have perfectly fleshed out characters and storylines when I have barely even understood that the world isn’t just black and white, good and evil. There are shades inbetween.

That got deep again but I have a lot of feelings about this and I’m sorry to my younger writer self for how I’ve treated her. Keep going, kid.

Thank you for your feedback! I think it would be no more than one Word page of text. Which is a lot still but I think that’s the maximum I’d go for. And I mean, I’d show all the important moments. It’s just, I guess I don’t need ten different pictures of the same conversation when these people are just standing next to each other. And it doesn’t need to be split into ten different posts either.

I’ll figure it out, don’t worry.

hey, everyone!! this is a bit different from what i usually post, but i wanted to do a lil something extra to make up for missing updates recently. so, i decided i wanted to give you guys a little bit more background regarding the characters in fire escape felonies. it’s not anything too story breaking or spoiler-y, but just to kinda get a better idea of the characters and their relationships with each other. it’s also perfectly okay if you’d like to ignore this!! like i said it has no bearing on the actual story and won’t affect it in any way!

sweet and understanding while teaching but is constantly one step from tearing someone’s head off when he’s w his friends

sometimes he just wants to come home and relax but instead he has to wrestle his pillow away from yeontan or scrub his hands raw trying to keep taehyung’s stupid hair dye from staining his counter top

so yeah, he does get a little pissy sometimes

but that doesn’t mean he still wouldn’t do anything he can to help his friends

believe it or not, there’s actually a pretty big heart in that smol angry body of his

jung hoseok

hoseok works at the same dance studio as jimin, except he teaches hip hop and modern

his classes are mainly children and preteens

seriously tho all the kids adore him and their parents love that he’s able to give them a break for an hour or two

unlike jimin, hobi looks like a cinnamon roll and is actually a cinnamon roll

tries his best to act as the mediator in the apartment, even if that means sometimes pissing off one of his two roommates

(spoiler alert: it’s mostly jimin)

he’s probably the most understanding of the three, getting where jimin’s frustrations are coming from but knowing that tae doesn’t always really think things through

but he also hates taking sides, and that’s why he sometimes chooses to stay out of it completely

he’ll hang out at the studio and work on choreography or teaching methods to keep himself occupied

at least,,,until one of them drag him back into things to fix it

hoseok and namjoon used to be roommates bc they were in the same year, but joon needed someone else to help him with rent after hobi moved out

hoseok suggested seokjin (partially bc he knew namjoon wouldn’t survive cooking on his own) and the rest is history

i broke my leg when i was like 4 but last year i fractured my back bc im a dancer and it sucked so bad. its so much pain for such a long time and moving like at all would hurt. plus i had to wear a back brace that limited like all of my movement for the majority of my senior year and i had to sit out at dance for months. sucked.

me too!! i’ve felt all this time that i’ve been missing out on so much bc of not having any proper friends. there’s so many things i want to do & experience but i just haven’t gotten the chance to do so. i see so many people having fun with their friends and in their own little groups and i want the same!!!!! i hate admitting it but part of why i moved away from using snapchat and instagram is because those apps were so heavily social.. everywhere i’d just see ppl having genuine fun, going out, doing lovely things together & it just used to upset me so much knowing that i’m trying to have that but i cant lol.. i see so many ppl talking about their groupchats, having fun in them but i’ve really never experienced that, idk what its like to have genuine friends in a groupchat who spam it bc they’re having so much fun, or when they come up w nicknames for you and then it’s like a little inside joke amongst everyone!!! it’s so lovely & it warms my heart so much when people talk about it bc they’re sooo excited abt it all & i genuinely feel happy for them but a small part of me feels so sick bc i’ve been Trying to have that for so long but i dont have it!!! omg i remember when angie invited me to her friend’s birthday party, all of her friends were so lovely, they were genuinely kind hearted people & it was such a pleasing experience to be around them. i remember when we were all sitting down and playing a game, i saw angie’s face and she was glowing with this light, she was genuinely so happy & i don’t think i’ve ever seen her face like that. her face just told me that she was so happy to be around her friends because she was having a genuinely good & fun time around them. it made me feel so warm inside and i just remember going to myself “wow i’m literally so lucky” but a few moments later i honestly felt so crushed because i’ve never known what it was like to experience the same emotion that she did.. i really wanna know what it’s like to have friends who just make ur heart so soft like that!!!!!!! everyday it kinda just is at the back of my head, i keep thinking to myself “WHEN!!!!” so honestly i hope we all find amazing kind friends soon!!!!!

hmm... i don’t even know where to begin really!!! i guess my hobbies are ~probably reading, some writing, photography [which is also what i study! and i’ll put some photos i’ve taken under a read more], video games, drawing/art in general, and learning languages!

i guess my ‘talent’ is also technically photography too... i don’t think i’m that good ;-; [i also discovered i can fit the majority of my fist in my mouth??? idk if that’s a talent though...]... personally i don’t see myself as talented at anything...

when i was younger i used to be into sports like swimming [i was pretty good!!!], football [i played for my junior school’s girls team as a goalie], tennis, rounders [i also played for my school sometimes]... but now the mere mention of sport makes me wanna choke?

languages... i took french for 3 yrs in school and spanish for 4 yrs [because i did it for gcse] and i’m trying to sort of ‘re-learn’ what i learnt there... it’s been a while oops? and then i’ve been (trying and failing) to teach myself korean... that’s a journey. i’m also trying to learn mandarin [i went to shanghai for a summer school last year but i got sick and missed so many classes :(]. i want to try and be fluent in at least 2 other languages tbh

reading and writing is something i’ve always done, but lately i haven’t really had much time for it because of uni and other things :(

video games... i mostly play pokemon, my absolute favourite thing the formula is essentially the same in every main plot game BUT I DON’T CARE I LOVE IT. i’ve grown up with it and i still love it to this day!!!! wow

art and drawing is another thing i’ve always enjoyed doing and i want to get better at it, but i’m an absolute perfectionist and get super frustrated... so i have to work on that!

okay!!!! photography... well, i took it as an a level in college [way back in 2012... god] and i really enjoyed doing it and it was the highest grade i got out of my 3 a levels [the other two being media studies and geography... i wanted to do something like graphics/art/classics or smth else but my college had these weird restrictions on subjects??? and i was originally taking combined english lit/lang but ended up dropping it 2 months into a levels bc my teacher was AWFUL]

i didn’t really know what i wanted to do at university... and my parents were SUPER against me even doing a levels :/ but my college were super strict and you had to apply for university otherwise you would get suspended or something stupid... so i applied for uni’s for photography/media studies as those were my best subjects, and i ended up staying at my college to do a 2 year foundation degree in photography!

then for the 3rd and final year, i had the choice of staying there or going to my current university. i decided to defer a year and go into the second year of their photography undergraduate so i could do an extra year of study, because i was in no way ready for the third year and i wanted to do this exchange programme... i eventually couldn’t because my university fucked up :) [i got accepted to attend ewha in seoul which was a HUGE honour for me but i couldn’t go thanks to my uni being butts!!!!! anyway i went to a summer school they ran in shanghai instead for a month that was still cool]

people tend to view photography more as a hobby i guess? in a way it is but... for me it’s more than that? it’s SUCH an interesting subject, it encompasses every other subject you can imagine and you have so much room for creativity and one thing i really like to do is the research and coming up with ideas [although my brain and hands often don’t cooperate so i can’t make my ideas reality smh]. also like you have to have talent and eye for it to be classified as being ‘good’ at it... it’s kinda shitty but i’ve gotten used to that these past 6 yrs. i’m really hoping that my final project, the one i’m doing now, will get noticed and i’ll hopefully get some work at my upcoming graduate exhibitions!!!!

okay now i’ll talk briefly about my kind of practise in photography and this final assignment that i’ve been doing!!!!

i mostly practise landscape photography, and in that i kinda include some documentary, architecture, street photography... i have done some portraits and fashion but uhhhh social anxiety and general anxiety prevent me from working with people :/

i’ve done a bunch of assignments over the years but i think this one is definitely one of my absolute favourites!!!! i’m kinda... like looking at mythical creatures and seeing where there’s crossovers in different mythologies and cultures, like there’s examples of dragons and mermaids in stories and legends WORLDWIDE... LIKE HOW COOL IS THAT YOU CAN MENTION THE CONCEPT OF A DRAGON TO ANYONE AND EVEN THOUGH THE INTERPRETATION OF IT MIGHT DIFFER IT’S STILL THE SAME CONCEPT!!!! so what i’m doing is looking at different texts both fictional and non-fictional and those are meant to be mostly in my research which i’m very behind on :)))) anyway. and i’m photographing landscapes looking at them through this sort of scientific scope as ‘habitats’ for those creatures? and the thing is i’m restricted to a limited area in terms of landscape so one of my challenges is making those photographs look very ambiguous? as if i could of taken them in the actual places i’m supposedly photographing as opposed to photographs i’ve taken in this one small area of england!!!!! it’s super cool and really interesting and i would LIKE to maybe make a book - like a bestiary sort of thing of darwin’s origin of species but for mythical creatures that also encompasses all these ‘collective mythologies’ and understandings!!!! this probably sounds super weird and pretentious wdijvnejvbfj but yes i’m really excited about it so now imma shut up and show you some photos!!!! some have text some don’t i’m still taking photographs hehe

guess what? i started playing genshin impact and i LOVE it. i’ve only played a couple hours though and i’m so surprised at how well it works on mobile. sadly i only have a macbook so i can’t play on my computer but WOW! as i played i hardly noticed it was a mobile game it’s super fleshed out. the world is insanely beautiful. i’m still on the prequel though but god i’m super excited to see how the game will pan out. once again, your rec is amazing and i love you for it.
