Avery didn't have the smoothest start in life. After the grandma who was raising her passed away, she ended up with one of her aunts... who didn't have the best skills for dealing with a teenager. Or wanted to, for that matter.

As a result, Avery fell in with the wrong crowd - a group of adult thieves, who used Avery as the in person for multiple thefts. With her pretty, sweet face and the ability to endear herself to others, it has always been easy for her to gain others' trust, which made her a valuable asset to their team. Eventually, they all got caught. While the others got time behind bars, Avery who was still a teenager got off easily - the officer who arrested them understood that she was a teenager who was being taken advantage of by the experienced criminal team. He talked some sense into her and provided her with guidance and resources to change the direction of her life.

And Avery has been trying pretty hard since then to live better and to stay out of trouble, since she realizes how lucky she got to still be free. Also, she realizes that as a legal adult, she will face legal consequences if she ends up in a mess like that again.

But it is quite hard to lose some old habits...

Sometimes I feel like building but I never know what. So I watch a lot of Plumbella on YT and she created this build generator here.

So I tried. The style of house I received was Queen Anne Victorian. Color theme was blue, green and gray. It had to have two floors and only 2 rooms. It was to cost $91,030 and house 1 sim. It specified I wasn't to place the same object twice.

This is what I made.

This is from the front. The back wasn't very interesting.

The bottom porch had a little bar, sitting area and a chess table way at the far end. There was also an easle tucked away in the corner.

As I couldn't have more than two rooms each floor is one big room. I divided the bottom floor into areas. THis is the sitting room.

The dining area.

The kitchen.

And because of the limit of rooms the bathroom was tucked away behind the stairs and behind this room divider.

Upstairs is the bedroom. And yes there are a few modern conveniences like a big screen TV and laptop.

The upstairs porch holds another sitting area and a telescope and yoga ball.

This was fun to build. As far as following the rules I failed. The house cost more than the specified amount and I placed more than one of the same object in the house.

I'm not sure I understand. Is this like going on inside his head? Aren't the werewolf and John the same person?

Soooo, I'm not sure if I've clarified it since it's kind of inferred (to me at least) but -- John and The Werewolf share the same body, but they are distinct from one another.

(under the cut bc this got incredibly long.)

They have separate 'mind spaces' but they are linked together by a passageway -- at first, it was a door:

(this scene is from The Werewolf story, where John is talking to The Werewolf about voluntarily turning for the first time. This is actually the start of them getting along (but not without issues)). The Werewolf had a tendency of guarding his side and wouldn't allow John to get near or enter his space (but John was the opposite and let The Werewolf in any time he wanted to.)

in the course of time between The Werewolf story and this story, they've gotten along and decided that they didn't need the door so now it's a frame.

(John's on his side of the mind space and The Werewolf is like right on the boundary but he's on his. Their spaces are also distinct from one another too.)

They can enter one another's space freely; John knows The Werewolf likes his space so he'll poke his head through at minimum to kind of read his body language and go from there; The Werewolf just goes anywhere. (in that regard, he's like a cat.)

so, for memory management, this story, a door appears on The Werewolf's side of the mindspace, because those are his memories and not John's.

The whole thing about this story is that some of the memories The Werewolf's has is really haunting him and John's there with him to try and sort/figure out why it's happening.

The teaser image is has to do with John may (or may not) have done to him and The Werewolf is incredibly angry at him. (He's covered in blood but that's for a different reason that's spoilers.)

...as far as it being a 'head' thing... it's one of those things where it is but it's not. I know it's at least 3 tropes, Mental World, Memory Palace, Journey to the Center of the Mind.

I'm not sure if that clears anything up or anything like that, but if it doesn't, I wouldn't worry about it too much and chalk it up to the supernatural nature of John and The Werewolf, lol.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

Old age. Because it means my sim actually made it that far and I just love seeing their life play out. Some of the more quirky, simsy ones are great though. Death by Jellybean or Cowplant come to mind lol.

Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?

I... really don’t like the TS4 MM aesthetic 😅 I really don’t like the clay hair look for my own sims, though think some people do wonderful things with it, and I do like certain Maxis Mix styles, good skin details with clay hair, certain stylised MM styles etc. but the default TS4 clay look is literally why I never moved over to TS4 in the first place, and it took too long for the Alpha scene to really take off in the beginning, so by the time there was enough CC for me to feel I would ever want to jump in, it felt too overwhelming to even try moving to essentially a new medium.

For TS3... I also am not a huge fan of the straight “MM” look either, though I think the distinction is less prominent as it is in TS4. You can easily make most “MM” stuff fit in an “alpha” game simply because they aren’t usually full-on clay the way TS4 MM is, they’re just not quite as detailed as full “alpha” CC. Whereas the other way around isn’t quite as true, intricately detailed alpha stuff might look out of place if most of your other content is vanilla or MM. So I think as well as preferring the aesthetic, I like the flexibility a more “alpha” leaning style can bring.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Storywise, characters are obviously whatever size I make them lol. 

Uh. I don’t know about weight, because I don’t think any of my sims have put on a lot of weight during gameplay. I have definitely cheated muscle levels though. Traumatic flashbacks to Loch suddenly getting BULKED whilst I was letting him run free during Riv’s BC. Absolutely not you little twink.

Do you move objects?

For gameplay, I used to try to minimise doing so just cos it breaks so much routing and stuff. Now I don’t play so I go nuts with MOO. Who needs working doors or stairs or beds anyway?

Favourite Mod?

So many mods for TS3 are kinda essential to even be able to run the game lol, like almost the entire NRAAS suite. I think I’ll have to go with the Remove Stencil mod though, cos being able to undo EA’s weird obsession with shiny clothes by removing the specular is honestly so lifechanging LOL. no more shiny wool jumpers or oil slick jeans 🥰

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?

My first TS3 expansion was Ambitions, because I skipped World Adventures, in fact, I think it was one of the last expansions I bought lol. 

Believe it or not, I do actually own one EP, one GP, and one SP for TS4 lmao, back when I thought maybe, just MAYBE. the game might get better, and I was still trying so damn fuckin hard to force myself to enjoy the actual gameplay. So I have Get to Work, but don’t even ask me what the other two are because I haven’t a fuckin’ clueeeee. 

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?

...It just occurred to me maybe it is meant to be “LIV” mode because it’s... like. Living mode. Like, Alive Mode doesn’t make sense. But my brain won’t accept it. doesn’t sound right. Always been “LIVE” mod to me lol.

Who’s your favourite sim that you’ve made?

Oh, jeez. Uhhh, I can’t *really* claim most of my current legacy sims because I didn’t make them, they were born in-game, even if I have tweaked the hell out of them in recent years. So if we’re going for physical appearance, I wanna say actually maybe Sylvie for my TS3 sims? She took so long to get just right, especially because TS3 doesn’t really do curvier sims quite as well as TS4, especially not without a fuck ton of sliders, and I had a really specific look to her face in mind that took forever to get right, had to blend her a custom skin etc. But I am finally super happy with her cute lil sassy round face 🥰 Close runners up are probably Qu or Edge.

God, I’m gonna get so fucking shot for this but here goes. Physically, my fave TS4 sims I’ve made are actually both of Tay’s brothers, Ethryon and Ailos, and also probably father, Qariel. I think because I had a little more experience with using TS4 CAS by the time I got to them, more sliders, more skin details, just generally a fuck ton more CAS CC by then, and more time to tweak them etc. As much as Tay will always be my favourite sim OVERALL... yeah. plznoonekillmebye

Ye. I used to update her like. all the timeee too, whenever I got a new haircut etc. And, ofc, Havoc was my alter ego so she’s like. simself adjacent lol.

Which is your favorite EA hair color?

God I hate EA’s hair colours in TS3. their blondes are so yellow, the highlights don’t blend well etc. always make my own. TS4 hair colours make me want to actually die, but then again, I hate the clay hair and cartoony colours of vanilla TS4 anyway, so.

Young Adult, with Teens a close second. You can do the most with the YA age, but the chaos of teenage years are real fun too lol.

I literally can’t play lmao. I have too much CC in TS3 for it to run well enough to play, and TS4... is it even possible to play TS4? joking joking... mostly. I’m in it for the story.

I used to try so hard to stick to whatever gameplay threw at me, following the actual legacy rules, not editing sims etc, all to the detriment of my actual enjoyment of storytelling. Now I care maybe a little too much about how posts look that I get into a rut of not posting oops bye 💀

12 Your own sim that you created that you liked the most?

As much as I love Blaire, like I told @silverspringsimmer. I also love Bucky. And I mean I didn't really "create" him as he was a gift from Blaire and Blake's long-lost great aunt. But I have created him since he was a child, and he is just so cute. He is grown up so much in the span of this series. He has watched the woman he loves fall in love with many different types of men and when he finally proposed to her, it wasn't a shock to anyone but Blaire.

14 Favorite premade family and why?

After giving this some extra thought, I have to say the Vidal Family from Isla Paradiso. I would always make a family that consisted of a father and two children. Now it sounds weird but I had my storylines that I needed to go with, until I got bored.

17 If you could live in one town from this game yourself, which one would it be?

Appaloosa Plains. I just have always been in love with the colors of the Appaloosa plains. In the past, I would have loved to bring my animals with me anywhere I wanted and nobody would bat an eyelash.

Sadie's biggest hobby is singing, but that's no surprise. What might be surprising, though, is that Sadie inherited her dad's athleticism. She loves to go running. Especially in the morning when the world is still quiet.

Sadie often wakes up at least once at night. At times when things are going well for her, she usually falls asleep again easily, but when she has a lot on her mind, like now, it can be hard to find peace again. Sadie loves to sleep close to someone else. She sleeps most sound when she has someone to cuddle up with.

Sadie wants to believe in happily ever after, and there was a time in her life when she absolutely did. Slightly older and more experienced in love, she now knows relationships require quite a bit of effort, and she's learning the hard way that it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

Law :: What do they think about abiding rules? Are they selective about it?

Sadie is no law breaker, but that's not to say she always plays by all the rules. She does always make sure to know what the rules are or the correct code of conduct is in any situation, but only then decides if she wishes to follow the rules entirely. Especially in love and relationships, Sadie isn't always doing things the way "everyone does", but is trying to figure out what works for her.

Offspring :: What kind of parent would they be? Would they prefer one, or multiple?

Sadie desperately hopes she'll get to have children one day. Family Oriented is one of her traits. There is quite a big age gap between her and her cousins Isa and Ethan and the way she interacts with them is very cute. So, hopefully, many babies for Sade!

She would be the kind of parent who has a song for everything: for bedtime, for brushing your teeth, for tidying up, for leaving the house, etc. She'd teach her kids that different people have different experiences and not to judge a book by its cover

Noa Hayashi and Sevan’izaran for @dandylion240 Double Trouble BC

These goofballs are ready for… just about anything, really. They’ve been best friends since elementary school, and they do just about everything together. Noa and Sevan love nothing better than pursuing wild ideas and having adventures together, so this double bachelor challenge was practically irresistible to them!

Noa and Sevan bonded over each being one half of a set of twins, and also being new kids in school. Noa's family came to Willow Creek from Mt. Komorebi, and Sevan's family came from an entirely different planet, but despite that, they discovered that they've got a lot in common, including their passion for music, their love of crafting, and their quirky sense of humour.

Their respective brothers, Yuzuru and Xai, haven't become nearly as close as these two have, but that's okay. Yuzuru and Xai are the more reserved ones; Noa and Sevan are far more outgoing, but thanks to their brothers, they have both developed an appreciation of introverts and are quite good at interacting with people who are shy, anxious or just quiet in general.

Sevan's name is pronounced like the English number seven.

He can camouflage, but he rarely does.

He loves to read, and will devour any kind of book from textbooks to non-fiction to high fantasy to murder mysteries.

Sevan, his twin brother Xai, and their father Kiri escaped a life of abuse and oppression on their home world, thanks in no small part to Sevan's older brother Kaji and his many supporters and friends on Earth. Sevan and Xai were eight when they came to Earth, so they're both well-immersed in Terran life by this point and fit in with very few problems.

Sevan's stepfather is Maxan, a Sixamish doctor who inadvertently fell in love with Kiri while looking after him when he and the twins first came to Earth. Dr. Max is Sevan's biggest enabler in his mischief (next to Noa, of course).

He's one of five siblings now, as Kiri & Max have had two children together.

He knows how bad it can go, and there is only three things in the world that could make him break his own moral compass, and it would only be if he could save them.

11. What is your OC's weapon of choice? Have they ever actually used it? Their dragon form, and yes, sadly the have used it several times. In fighting games that he plays with flynn, he always chooses someone with shapeshifting abilities if they can.

Since he's been a very young kid, music has been everything for Blake. From an early age, he showed the highest of aptitudes for music and melodies far beyond his age level came to him easily. It made sense that music will play a huge part in his life...

Until he didn't get accepted into the music program at his dream school, which he intended to attend for as long as he knew what he wanted in life. This sent him into a tailspin and for the past year, following high school graduation, he's mostly been moping in his room, playing really sad tunes and behaving in a way that's making his parents alarmed. After he spent a week barely exiting his room, hid Dad gave him an ultimatum: he needs to get his life together or, by the end of the year, he is to enlist in the military. His Dad knows there's no way a person as particular as his son will make it in the military, but he was hoping it'll work to jog him out of whatever funk he's in. It seemed to have worked. Blake packed up his stuff, his keyboard, and left - he saw an opportunity hiring music instructors in a different town.

Of course, this is the first time he's going to be on his own somewhere. And let's just say, he's not the most socially well-adapted guy.

Ugh I feel so drained from one day back to work after having four days off. It wasn't enough. I felt so much more refreshed and creative then I have for a while. I spent some time outlining some future stories to finish some hanging plot lines to finish off my current stories so that I can move on to the kiddos.

I also have a pretty good idea on some of my TS3 stories. I'm working on the the reboot of gen 3 of the Van Winkle Legacy so while I work on that I'm going on to the next gen of Glitter. It'll follow the kiddos that we haven't met yet so knowledge of the previous gens won't be necessary. I'm hoping to start that in January as I have quite a bit of set up to do. In the meantime I'll do some character profiles so that you can meet everyone. As the last generation got a bit big I decided to split the kiddos into 4 worlds so that it's a bit more manageable. Some of the previous generation might show up and some might not. It depends if I still have the sims as I did lose a few.

I'm hoping to have at least one TS4 story and one TS3 story running on my blog. But who knows if I'll manage it. RL tends to sap the energy right out of me.

I am gonna go with The Werewolf!

He has a name and it's is Vincent! Him and John had a brainstorming session (turns out he is super picky) and after going back and forth, he picks Vincent. (this is also one of John's middle names.) He is called Vincent on a semi-regular basis; John and Brian call him Vin, but only Brian can call him Vinnie. (Brian gets the Johnny/Vinnie privilege, lol.)

The Werewolf loves turkey legs. There's something about tearing into them that gives him unbridled joy. His favorite snack is beef and turkey jerky.

It's rare because there's not a real reason to do it, but he does howl! Only when he's in the shower (for acoustics), when he gets (unexpectedly) excited, and ofc when the siren of anything goes off. It's a very low, soft howl.

Can understand animals and have conversations with them. Dogs are very jazzed about this. Cats wonder why he smells weird but they're still okay with him. Spaghetti is a talker with her mrrrps and miaows.

He loves to cuddle and doesn't mind being the little spoon. (He secretly likes to be the little spoon.)
