I've been reading a lot of ur Dottore ramblings with others and fics, and i have a random thought about Foxtorre and the pufftorres always beefing with Dottore and other segments 24/7 😭 like whenever Dottore commands them to leave reader's room (he wants to have some alone time with his s/o 👀), Foxtorre and pufftorres are either giving him the nastiest side-eye or just pounch at him. Poor reader have to stop or scold them every single time 😭

AHH YESS THE LITTLE GUYS ARE ALWAYS BEEFING WITH HIM 😭. And they will fearlessly do it too because they know you'll always protect them, you'll scoop them up in your arms and scold Dottore for trying to hurt your babies! How dare he! When Dottore tries to kick Foxttore out of the room, he bites the scientist, which doesn't hurt too much considering his strength but, it's a surprise, and the angry creature holds on for dear life no matter how hard he tries to shake it off. You end up having to remove Foxttore and cradle it in your arms for the rest of the day, making your husband even more irritated. Why does an abomination get more attention than your own husband...? He hugs you from behind all while glaring at the creature. Puffttores aren't any better. Will try and crawl all over his body to distract him from work but he bullies them more because they can't particularly fight back...

Dottore holds a scalpel to Foxttore but the creature doesn't even flinch, in fact it seems to be smirking at him to say 'you can't do it otherwise [Name] will never forgive you.'

Dottore doesn't know how or when that little abomination got so smart.

The only segment they like is Zandy of course. He cuddles with them sometimes when you're not around.

Etho and Bdubs hate eachother. It's common knowledge to everyone else.

Growing up as childhood friends, their mother always had a rivalry. They always tried to outdo themselves to please their parents.

Until one day.

Bdubs lost at something to Etho. Usually, he hid it form his parents. Coming home with a triumphant smirk and boasting about something he didn't even win (but his mum doesnt need to know that)

But today was different. It turned out that his parents had ran into Etho's, who were boasting about Etho winning.

It was over for Bdubs.

He was sent out of the house, all his attempts to say that Etho was lying were futile. He sat on the pavement outside his house, wishing desperately that he bought his coat out. December was not the greatest time to be locked out in the rain.

Etho walked past feeling triumphant that he got Bdubs into trouble. Until he found the said boy on the ground, nearly turning blue from the cold.

Without hesitation, he wraps a jacket around him, picking him up and sneaking him indoors. His parents are out now, so it'll be easy.

When Bdubs comes around, Etho helps hom up and passes him tea.

They meet up at school and sometimes outside of it. They're in love.

Someday, they'll confront their parents. Someday, they'll let them know that their feud is ruining their lives.

But for now, straling kisses and meeting up in secret is the best they have.

It takes a long time to unravel the feelings their parents forced on them. This competition never really was them. Bdubs is competitive, sure, but he usually likes seeing other people succeed! Whilst Etho... He just likes to do well. Beating people isn't a priority for him.

Only towards each other. Only to impress their parents.

Bdubs still notices how Etho suddenly starts 'slipping up' when it seems like he might get a better score than Bdubs. Bdubs, frankly, won't stand for it. He is not going to let this affect Etho's future, he can deal with his parents. (Etho does not point out he clearly can't, because he's the one who sneaks Bdubs into his house each time.) Either way, Bdubs wants a fair competition. They owe each other that, right?

When they speak of their future, it's of a place they live together. No parents dictating this or that. They're hoping they can achieve it at college, so it's even more important Etho works to get good grades and extra curriculars! That'll be step one.

They just have to hold on until then. It's a lot easier now they have each other.

secondly, where the fuck are you getting these funds from??? your big brother/Daddy controls every single cent that passes through your pretty little fingertips, so how on earth do you have enough money to even offer such a ridiculous thing? irregardless of the iteration, they’d all feel varying degrees n severities of slighted, insulted, and their sick minds would jump to nonsensical conclusions—does this mean you think they’re incapable? does this mean you think you’re better than them? does this mean they’re giving off vibes that they need you to take care of them in such an aggressive and dominant manner (and that’s the key here, truly. you take care of them for sure, but it is in a manner that is soft, emotional, submissive. you brush dainty fingers through their hair and trace tender constellations along their cheeks, you let them pour their daily frustrations into your body and keep all of their secrets, whispered out in shards and fragments in the dead of night. you do not provide for them in a monetary way. your value is much different than that)? etc etc etc.

Lucifer brushes his thumb over your cheek. His glove is cold against your skin, and it makes you involuntarily shiver. He leans in so closely that you feel his warm breath against your ear. 

“Remember,” his voice is barely above a whisper, “You belong to me.” The last word almost comes out as a growl. You let his words hang in the air for a good second before leaning your upper body away from his grip. Lucifer straightens up and crosses his arms. “What? Cat got your tongue?” he chuckles.

You stare at him and slowly blink. Lucifer’s eyes narrow and he starts tapping his finger against his arm. You continue to stare at him, unimpressed with his intimidation tactics. Your eyes droop down lazily.

“What?” he repeats, but the word has a tinge of curtness to it. He does not appreciate being ignored. 

You continue staring at him before saying, “Sit.”

Lucifer's ass hits the ground before he can comprehend what is happening. The wind is knocked out of him, and it takes him a second to realize what you just did. He jerks his head up, an angry shout on the tip of his tongue. He hesitates when he sees you looking down at him, your head silhouetted by the light above you. 

You playfully flick his forehead. “Sorry, Lucifer, but I think you’re a little confused,” you say. You bend down next to him and mutter, “You belong to me.” You plant a quick kiss against his ear before standing up. 

Lucifer’s mouth stays agape. A vein pulses against his forehead, but he doesn’t say anything. 

You tap the tip of his nose before laughing. Your tone turns perky and you wave, “Alright, I have to go. See you later!” You bounce away, “Thank you for inviting me on this date! We should do this again this time.” You leave the room with a skip in your step. After a second, you pop your head back through the door. “You can stand back up, by the way,” you say before disappearing again. 

Lucifer slowly stands up, his face entirely too hot. He leans against the wall. You know all of the best ways to annoy him, and the worst part was that he kind of enjoys it.

FRIEND WHATS WITH YOUR TAGS ABOUT DAMEN BEING THE OPPOSITE OF EDWARD CULLEN AHAHAHAHAHAH I LOST IT

It's true though!! If Damen was a vampire and Laurent was human he would never in a million years try to discourage the relationship or leave for Laurent's own good. Edward is all "this is the skin of a killer, Bella!" and Damen is like "I killed your brother and you tried to kill me, traumatizing us both. Let's make out about it."

They're both unhinged people in very different ways that somehow makes them balance each other out, and Damen has a very Bella-like attitude of not caring how weird their situation is. Probably because they both have zero sense of self preservation. You could argue that this makes Laurent more like Edward, because they're the ones who say "this is fucked up and I should at least try to stay away from this person no matter how irresistible they are."

Anyway, if you want to know what inspired this very random train of thought, it was this quote: "The kiss was like a wound, as if to do it Laurent was impaling himself on that knife. There was an edge of desperation to it, Laurent kissing like he needed it, his fingers clutching, his body unsteady. You know what I want as a fan of The Monkees? Three things: 1. I want a documentary of them making Headquarters ( there had to be some video hopefully) showing not only how hard the boys worked and want they had to go through to make this album, but also how they were together in the studio when they were allowed to do want they wanted. 2. A real true biopic or miniseries like Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman, Elvis, etc. showing the good, bad & ugly. All of it. Seeing their story finally get

(cont) told letting people know all the BTS. Really good actors playing them and getting into the all of it. I even got a title Hollywood, Listen to the Band. Not only is perfect because it was the last song they played together before peter left, but it's what they were asking the whole time. Finally 3: Restored concert of either Japan ( there is suppose video) or any concert showing the amazing show these boys put on. We've heard audio and see some in the tour ep, but imagine if we could see a full restored concert in all it's glory showing everyone what they did and were capable of. So yeah that's my three. Sorry for so many messages, Tumblr kept cutting me off. I just feel their story needs to told and their hard work needs to be seen. If people knew maybe they see them differently and with more respect, What do you think. BTW, I LOVE your blog! I've been browsing through it and it's one of the best Monkees blogs I've seen. omg this was such a joy to log in and see! thanks for sharing this insight. but, to add to what you're saying, YES YES YES. TO ALL OF THIS. re: the movie -- you're so onto something. like, i don't see as much of it now, but since i'm kind of the old wine aunt of monkees tumblr, i remember the days when we'd all sit around and just make a complete mockery of the daydream believers movie. and, while it's in no way a perfect movie (or even a good one, lmao) it just proves that there's a good story at the heart of the monkees' tale. it's a perfect found family piece -- four people from different walks of life coming together to make something great. i think their story would resonate better now than it did in the '60s (mostly because i don't think our society cares much about the concept of 'selling out' / authenticity is viewed differently now than it was in 1966).

i hope we'd be able to see more concert footage, too! they were a great live band (AND still are, speaking as someone who's been fortunate enough to have seen all of the different lineups, save the four of them and micky, davy & peter) and their live show was truly where they cut their teeth. correct me if i'm wrong, but mike or peter (or was it MICKY? google is free, but i'm too in the zone to double check) has/had a great quote saying that when they were on stage, just the four of them, was when they really became the monkees. they became a real band -- i think it was micky, just because that's one of his go-to quotes (kind of like the shrek/i'm a believer one). thank you so very much for sharing your thoughts with me & the kind words about the blog! i'm happy to spread some love and light & i'm glad you found my content and like it. thank you endlessly!

so like is it a thing where most jewish people call passover pesach because I've been invited to like three and nobody irl ever called it that. Like my best friend from high school is Jewish, I've known him for 20 years, I never even heard the term pesach until I posted a fic in AO3 making one of the characters Jewish. I asked my bestie for a whole bunch of details about passover because I was gonna write a scene and I felt confident but now I'm thinking maybe I should skip it?

part 2: because like, I got a lot of feedback from people like 'yes! you made this canon jewish character ACTUALLY jewish! and now we get a pesach scene!' and I'm here with all my notes of what my friend does at his house for passover going 'what the fuck is pesach' and now I'm like 'maybe this is a bad idea'

pesach is the hebrew name for passover. most Jews of some flavor of orthodox persuasion and many other religious Jews as well use that name for it consistently. where I grew up (in an ashkenazi orthodox community) it was actually unusual for someone to call it passover. it just depends on preference and background!

Jewish people from different backgrounds will likely tell you different things about their passover and seder experiences. the important thing to remember is that there is no one singular answer when it comes to Judaism!

checo has committed the crime of not helping max this whole season, and that's an irremediable offense for me. I do think that him being gone would help max more. But I was looking at /this/ race when i cheered for him. In this race i needed him to get his pussy up and be up front for max. Because I need max to do as well as humanly possible tomorrow and if checo can help then he is welcome to the front row.

i can't change who's max's teammate tomorrow. if i could, i would. i would have five races ago. but since i can't, i am taking the next best thing (in my eyes!!!! you are free to disagree!!) which is for him to defend as well as possible against the mclarens.
