have become really obsessed recently with the fact that house md takes place in new jersey. because obviously the show itself doesnt make much reference to the larger city that surrounds it, PPTH (more commonly known as malpractice general) is only in princeton because its a relatively big city that doesnt have any widely-known stereotypes associated with it. primarily, house is a medical drama that needs to be situated somewhere that it makes logical sense for a vast variety of interesting cases to take place.

but dear god they’re in JERSEY. the opportunities that were lost. a patient comes in with delusions that the jersey devil is haunting them. a street performer at the shore suddenly loses use of his arms and nobody can explain why. a woman that is obviously supposed to be Snookie but they couldnt actually get the real snookie so its just some actress who kind of looks like her is the patient of the week. some guy comes in with a really stereotypical jersey accent and it turns out to be a symptom of a neurological problem (he’s from maine, has only lived in jersey for 6 months. the problem is like. some sort of bacteria that exists only in maine. or something. idfk)

hi tumblr you get to hear my insane sgdlr ramblings theories whatever about mr vein which mifht be wrong but I DOTN CARE

ok sooooo first i connected the dots with cheng xiaoshi and vein bc they had the same shadow that dropped from the top left in the anniversary pv’s. most people reacted with “you didn’t connect shit”, but i’m telling you, i connected the dots.

what caught my eye on the shadow thing is that vein’s shadow didn’f have the same circular borders as liu xiao and xia fei who were obviously meant to be the same style. so they deliberately kept it at just the top left (to cover him up also). and did i mention cheng xiaoshi looks like he is trapped behind glass in the anniversary artwork? no i didn’t. i personally think all of the anniversary artworks are supposed to represent a special part of each character (qiao ling stepping out. you know).

i have not fully analysed vein’s outfit design because frankly i’m not sure what else to search up but. i’ll talk about the parts i did find

so. first of all the pattern on his shoulders looks like blood. isn’t rhat fun!

second of all the little knots around his design, i’m pretty sure are ‘round brocade knots’ which represent “balance, completeness, good fortune”. i haven’t made exact ties between that and vein myself yet but it’s worth noting it.

i didn’t find out anything else about his design. the necklace is cut off just perfectly to not be able to see what it is (like liu xiao’s)

anyway. i’m just gonna jump to my theory. i think he is connected to either cheng xiaoshi or the disappearance of his parents!!!! wow. it might sound unlikely i am aware but this is what theories are for.

the biggest reason i came up with this is because we don’t need a new villain. we don’t need to be introduced to someone new when we already have liu xiao. but you know what liu xiao wouldn’t do? GET HIS HANDS DIRTY. at least, most likely, he strikes me as the type to work behind the scenes.

so what other reason would there be to introduce vein? “you could make the same argument for xia fei” well yeah but xia fei is a pushing force in how cheng xiaoshi and lu guang discovered their powers (probably. idk)

okkkk back to vein and cheng xiaoshi’s parents actually. why i think it’s likely they’re either missing because of vein or, if they’re dead, their bodies got disposed of for some reason? it’s because if they were caught in the earthquake THEIR BODIES WOULD BE FOUND BY NOW. at least that’s what makes sense to me lore wise. and i don’t think they would just ghost their child for like 12 years. and because from narrative storytellijg it would make sense if vein was the one that did something. (let me redirect you to pattern that looks like blood on his shoulders)

of course this could all be a red herring but the last time i said something was a red herring it turned out to be true. so i choose to stick to it this time!

the other possibility (or actually, both possibilities could ring true) is that vein was the one who shot cxs. who else would? (feel free to debate lol) i don’t think xia fei would have interest in that after the whole overseas trip business, liu xiao wouldn’t want to do it himself (he’d make someone else do it) and li tianchen is an option but we don’t know if he will be the one to do it in the end. so

i don’t have a good way to end this weird theory bit. if i think of something else i will add it. it has been plaguing at my mind. thank you tumblr user for reading my weird theory rambling and feel free to debate me. if i tjink of anything else myself i will edit and add it

Fun fact, way before Dragons rising was an idea, I had a little theory/AU thingie, where the ninja got sent to another realm, where time passed differently. (How funny, it was way before SotFS...) So basically these kids formed a replacement ninja team to fight the evils treathening ninjago, discovering they themselves are elemental masters. And that's been in my brain, slowly adding all the new kiddos to it. Might make some art, and a post about that too, because I would love to draw them.

Here's my spitballing on these dummies and their designs.

The Darkleys kids!

The little shits. They would be the ones to have kidnapping as their first resolve.

- I kinda didn't know Sally existed, but I liked all the art, so she does now. Also, she loves pink, I love pink, we all love pink

- Brad is definitely the muscle of the group, with a big heart, but not the greatest mind. Also, he has a babyface, that's very hard to make look evil.

- His design kinda grew on me with time, but it still feels a bit lacking...

- There's this theory that Gene is Skylor's brother, and Chen's son, that I kinda absorbed into my brain and ran with it so yeah.

-Also, the hand thingie is not a glove, it helps hold his hand together after a nasty injury :)

- The bowlcut was uniform at Darkleys, but Gene was such a nightmare they just gave up with him.

- They have matching pins and earpieces. Cause of course they do. Also, dumbo boots uniform.

The Paperkids!

Antonia and Nelson are a given, and I just kinda added Unagami on there, since he waved at them once. Also, I think it would be cute if they were friends.

- I know he doesn't anymore, canonically, but I like to think he still wears his purple gi under the jumper. Who knows when someone will need the purple ninja?

- He has a scar from the injury he had when he met with the ninja. Also, am I the only one who tought something much worse was going on than a broken leg? Obviously a kid show can't have a terminally ill kid, but fsm that's still how I remembered it.

- Antonia! I loved drawing her hair. Also kinda like her badass big sis vibes.

- She has her hands out to make sure the two kids, but mainly Nelson, don't go missing somehow (happens more often than you think)

- Even if he can shapeshift, I like to tjink Unagami keeps his line-marks in whatever forms, since it's apart of his skin. He can hide them, but it takes effort, so he just doesn't bother.

- He can change his form generally, but you could still tell it's him by the lines, eyes, and hair

- He has a little nick in his eyebrow, and so does (did i guess) Jay. I just think that's a cute detail

The Forgotten ones...

Just called that cause I had to add them on a separate canvas after forgetting them. I forgot Skales Jr, shame on me, I tought Jake and Nelson were one character, and I was still debating Echo. But here they are!

- It was surprisingly not that hard to draw him, even tho I was very scared

- Since he has white on him, I was trying (and failing miserably) to replicate those partially albino reptiles. Also added some pink scales, since he is also Selma's son, who's pink.

- I don't know to this day why Echo was introduced only to be left behind.... Nevertheless he's a sweetheart

- I guess if you count Mr.E, but then he would be dead... Unless the kids fix him (lightbulb moment)

- Also, ahy is his head weirdly tiny? How did that happen?

- Jake. Goddamnit, how were you the hardest to draw? Somehow I couldn't get the head right...

- The giant pants is an idea that lived in my head. I like yo think he would be able to fix ancient artifacts with hairties, ductape, and sheer force of will.

- He might have a bowlcut, but cmon, are you telling me he wouldn't at least try to replicate whatever the hell Kai's hair was in the beginning?

Like any creatures that either got swept up in between people going from one point in time to another or anything that evolved because of bacteria etc getting in between the time streams?

YESSSSSSSSSSS I TJINK SO YEAS. this is something i go into just a little bit in radio relay..although not so much fully formed creatures. although i think given a few more centuries creatures would start to form ^_^ which is fun to think abt bc like… i mean at a certain point time travel would be invented which is what starts the bringing of new bacteria into the time streams but with the way it works its like… Would they need time to develop? because time is all over the place in there… I imagine some of the creatures would still be just forming, from a point in the time streams where time travel is just starting to happen, but they would mix with fully formed creatures from points in the time stream where theyve already had the time.. maybe. or maybe they exist on a totally different level entirely, like those 4th dimension aliens in star trek that are like super fast because they operate on another level entirely. i think maybe this is more likely. I also love the idea that they wouldnt be able to be seen by the human eye or with human tools if they Are on a higher dimension… AGHHH time for class but ill come back to this

i honestly can't decide what regulus should be up to during the summer afsjlghsjgsdf, i think it would be hilarious if he was basically playing the opposite of whack-a-mole with his parents except regulus is the mole and instead of bashing it with a hammer orion and walburga are trying to grab onto it and HOLD IT STILL

they run into each other in diagon alley but regulus has peruvian instant darkness powder in like 3 different pockets and he just throws some into the air and floos away

conspiracy theories about Where In The World Is Regulus Black abound because like - he's clearly fine?? they see him all the time?? he's just???? also technically missing???????

i do think regulus at least needs an OPPORTUNITY to explain to his parents why he is doing this, or else like. nothing will ever get resolved? but i also worry about him going back home after pulling this the first time because now his parents know he can and will vanish if given the opportunity

so for me keeping it lighthearted would mean regulus basically never going back once he's left

Set-Up is a frat au where you're besties with a bunch of guys from NCT, but for some reason you could just never see eye-to-eye with Johnny, aka the friendliest guy in the world, apparently. Lots of fun bickering and banter, I laughed way too much while I was reading this.

Marks is a pretty interesting spin on the soulmate AU bc your soulmate, Haechan sells your soul to two devils Johnny and Jae in exchange for fame. One: robbie is fucking hilarious. Hes 15 deeply deeply insecure and beefing with a Twelve yearold. Like you won. You got wendy to say yes to a date theres negative reason to challenge a child to a fight. Hilarious cant wait for him to lay awake at night and cringe at that memory. especially bc dipper giving her a black eye was his wingmanning! Funny dude cant wait to see what happens with his disaster of an ass. (also during the time travel ep i was like damn robbie can suck a little but hes not that bad. Two: holy shit the wax figure thing mustve been so upsetting for grunkle stan. Like he shrieked upon seeing it! He crawled away backwards. I might be reading to far into that but he seemed scared (?). I love how quick he recovered for mabels sake tho their dynamic is so sweet. Shes a little weird girls and hes like taking her under his wing. the definition of dad who didnt want a pet. I love how they understand each other.

Did he wonder, even for a moment, if it was his dead/missing brother??? Like i have brothers if we still looked alike enough to be twin levels of similar and someone made a statue of me id also scream. Also like his investment in having the "murder" solved feels so weird knowing he has a mysterious disapeared twin. his investment feels heavier. Like hes projecting his grief.

Does watching Mabel and Dipper interact happily make him miss other stan? also how do other family members feel about this diapearance? Clearly bad since they never told dipper and mabel. But them being the grunkles implies they have at least on more sibling. Howd they feel about the disappearance?

I cant wait to get more details on those two. i feel like their relationship has to be all levels of fucked for him to never mention having a twin. Like no matter how mad i was with my bros id fucken mention them at least once even by accident to their nibblings.

Three: i like how often mabels outfit changes i love her silly themed sweaters and fun earrings. The cross fingers gag on the back of her sweater after lying to her grunkle stan made me laugh. Shes so weird and fun and loud and i love her. Dispite now being a guy i see myself in weird little girl characters. Like yeah i too would've glued a hot glue gun tomyself and wore chips as earrings. I too would have lost my mind over losing my pig. delightful i adore her randomness.

Four: dipper is equally relatable but in a way that makes me scream lol. His anxietys are so familiar to me hope he sees someone for that. And that book cannot be helping. The author was clearly paranoid and while dipper wrote that he trusts mabel i worry that he wont always.

I think my favorite song from them is Frou Frou in Midsummer Fires but im feeling off about that answer but only cause ive listened to it such an obscene amount its like. im almost sick of it . due to my depression its hard for me to enjoy any artist anymore but basically i love Frou Frou because i listened to it most in such a god awful time in my life and it encapsulated that feeling so perfectly..... so powerful and devastating sounding. Cocteau Twins is just beautiful in general and they are the artist ive liked most of their discography which is the reason theyre my favorite artist hee hee. My favorite album of all time is from them as well and its Blue Bell Knoll :-) I also love Tishbite it'd probably be my second favorite song from them

def something nautilus based. maybe transitions into an isopod or otherwise arthropod-esque body? (round, many segmented legs, plated) and lots of feelers. whiskers..

i also need a moth. moth-like being. possibly with a bit of an emphasis on bones (which would be fun considering moths dont have any (outside of exoskeleton))

the less powerful gods tend to have simpler forms (simpler as in easier to comprehend) so some might just be anthropomorphic animals. could go for the tried and true method of slapping two animals together but who knows. i tjink it would be silly to just have a gorilla in the mix. whole ass gorilla.
