Spy Games [Chapter 1] : More Than It Seems

Authors Note: This is literally the first fiction writing I have done since I was a little kid writing stories about a town full of hamburgers. I was inspired to try my hand at writing by the plethora of amazing kpop smut writers out there right now, but by @lockefanfic, @nsfwtwicecatcher, @nsfwflint, and @ggidolsmuts in particular. If there are any similarities between my writing and theirs, please forgive me as I’ve spent more hours than I’d care to admit “researching” their work.

One thing that amazes me is how the hell everyone cranks out thousands of words with such frequency, as this post isn’t even 5k and it took forever to write. I can’t begin to explain how much respect I have for all the authors out there who can write so much and maintain such high levels of quality.

“Coming up on the target now.”

As you climb up the stairs, you wonder why anyone would want to listen in on this particular mission. This was a run-of-the-mill operation to investigate money laundering at an accounting firm. You’d infiltrated foreign governments, broken into and bugged the offices of billionaire CEOs, and tailed enemy agents. You could understand people wanting to hear those comms, but this? A tip had come in through one of the new girls at the Intel Desk reporting that there was some fishy activity related to organized crime going on at the accounting firm. This was routine and you’d gone on dozens of similar recon missions before: break in, find suspicious intel, get out. As you scroll through files, you stop on one with a familiar signature. Not gonna lie, but I’m kinda curious about that aforementioned character playlists. . .

oh HELL yes my time has COME

so i really like making character playlists when i’m bored because it helps me get a feel for the character? and sometimes it’s just a lot of fun to put a song in there that doesn’t necessarily match and try to come up with a justification for it, you know? when i make playlists, some of the songs match them entirely, while some just give off a vibe with their genre or specific tune, others match because of the title, and some just have really good lyrics or a good line or two. sometimes i just add in a song i think they’d like to listen to! really, there’s not a lot of strict method between choosing songs, and i don’t stick to one specific type of music for any given playlist!

i have playlists for all seven brothers and solomon right now. the other nowdateables....i don’t have enough of a grasp on them right now to make a playlist for them? so they’re still upcoming. each playlist is subject to little tweaks, like adding or removing the occasional song, but most of the playlists are finished! The only two that might change the most are Beelzebub’s and Satan’s. Beel’s has the least songs and they’re all revolving around food and eating (at least the titles are) but i just......i don’t know his character well enough to branch out from that yet. Satan’s feels like I just shoved all of the songs i liked by fall out boy in a playlist and called it a day, so I’ll be reworking that one and tailoring it more to him instead of making it more like “hehe angery boy angy”

i am planning to make cute little playlist edits to properly introduce the playlists, but i can go ahead and give you a little intro to the playlists right now!

Solomon

Solomon’s is half a love letter (the beginning being a lot of love songs/songs meant to be sung to another person) and half a character playlist lol. His is the newest and it might be my favorite, but I don’t know if that’s because he’s my favorite or because of the songs. Probably both?

Favorite additions: Willow by Taylor Swift and Meet Me In The Woods by Lord Huron. Church by Aly & AJ is up there, too.

Lucifer

Lucifer’s is one where a lot of my decisions came from song title and vibe over actual content, but I still think a lot of it worked! His is the one with the most allusions to their angel days because he just...he’s the one who reminds me of it the most? He’s got a lot of songs titled “Halo” or “Oh My Dear Lord” or “Devil’s Den” and I’m not 100% sure why alksjlksdf. His is also the only one with his character song in it (though I’m probably gonna add Belphie’s into his) because those are the one’s I feel fit the vibes I already had in the playlists when the songs came out lol

Favorite Additions: The Lovers Dancing by Innerpartysystem, Saints by Echos, and Bubble by Danny Blu (Mr.Kitty Remix).

Mammon

Mammon’s has a lot of those songs that are like “haha i’m so rich and I’ve got chicks for days” while also having a lot of songs that are like “dance till we’re the last ones standing and it’s just you and me.” I feel like that kind of wanting the MC to himself fits without being too....eh? I don’t know? Too Much? He also has a lot of high-energy pop/house/edm/whatever because (especially after his character song came out) I feel like that’s what fits him!

Favorite Additions: Collide by Breathe Carolina, Inseparable by The Jonas Brothers, Big Plans by Why Don’t We.

Leviathan

Levi’s was the first one I made!! Although funnily enough I don’t have a lot to say about it? The music here is probably some of the most varied (or maybe i’m just making it up in my mind) and the songs range from “this describes levi” to “this describes being self conscious” to “this is about breaking out of the friend zone” to “pretty sure this song was popular in AMVs and nightcore” LOL but i think it ended up with being a really good playlist WITHOUT relying solely on like. anime OPs and EDs and vocaloid and stuff like that.

Favorite Additions: They Say You Won’t Come Back by Breathe Carolina, Just a Friend To You by Meghan Trainor, and Doubt by Twenty One Pilots.

Satan

Again, I’m not sure if my choices for him were genius or stupid but man did i make them. A lot of the beginning songs were me just trying to get a /feel/ for him because I’m still working out the balance between wrath and the rest of his personality so...subject to change but maybe not? Maybe I’ll just add a few less angry songs...but I still think what I have right now is good! I wouldn’t show you otherwise!

Favorite Additions: Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift, Duality by Set It Off, and Anti-Gravity by RUNAGROUND.

Asmodeus

Asmo’s playlist feels like one you’d put on while getting ready to go out with The Girls if you know what I mean? It does deal heavily with like. partying and songs about sex but it’s not gross? I don’t know how to explain it without it sounding that way lol. It’s not ALL sex and partying but I wanted a playlist that sounded like the color pink without just being bubblegum pop. I don’t know, I think it works lol

Beelzebub

This is the one I have the least to say about 👉👈😔 no beel disrespect I just have a hard time reading his personality and, at least as far as I’ve gotten, the story kinda puts him on the backburner. but! i’m pretty happy with the songs i did end up choosing, even if they almost all have titles regarding food alskdfjdk

This one!! For the longest time this one used to be my favorite because it has the barest semblance of character development? It doesn’t have a story or anything and the order is all coincidence BUT i feel like if you at least go in expecting this, maybe you’ll get a sense of feeling him slowly change his attitudes towards MC and fall in love? maybe? I don’t know maybe I just really like belphie alkdsf

This has led to me getting taken advantage of in the past but I can't help but try and make others happy. I've developed a thicker skin and some trust issues as I've grown up because of it.

I love hyping my friends/family up!! Do you need a boost in confidence? Here I am, ready to help you remember the absolute king/queen/royalty that you are!! I'm usually very energetic and enthusiastic about many things and I love spreading positivity around!!

My love language is physical touch! So touch is very important to me in my relationships. I'm introverted in nature so although I mean usually full of energy and love making new friends, I can't do it for too long lol. I can also be lazy and unmotivated to do stuff. If something doesn't interest me, I'd find myself incapable of doing it or I'd do it with great difficulty. I'm one of those 'do something when inspiration/motivation hits you otherwise it'll be absolute shit' types.

But when I do have motivation/inspiration that's when my perfectionism comes in and I have to do it in the best possible way and anything less is an insult to me, my family, my ancestors and descendants lmaoo. Unfortunately I subconsciously set a very high bar for myself which can be overwhelming and stressful but when I manage to produce work of that quality, it's very satisfying and rewarding jshkshdhsj

It’s 3 am in the morning. Almost everyone is fast asleep or in their homes, well almost. The night sky is littered with diamond in the sky. The streets were silent but it was comforting. A few people walked here and there. And a few cars passes by there and here. “What are we doing up so late?” A silver haired man said as he yawned. “We’ll be going to Mc Donald’s! What else?” The female responded as she smiled at him. “Is it even open at this time?” He asked. “Koushi, darling, it is open,” Kay, the lover of our beloved silvered male man said as she smiled. Sugawara chuckled and held her hand, the smile on his face was evident. “You know, we should be sleeping by now right?” He said as he pulled her closer. “And so what? I wasn’t planning on sleeping early! I slept the whole day yesterday and missed the chance to hang out with you,” The girl responded.

A small blush appeared on the male’s face and he giggled. “That’s very sweet bu-“ He was about to say but was silenced by the girl. “That was very sweet but we could’ve done this later on or tomorrow. Well, sorry to break it to you, Love. But, we are here,” She said as she pulled the male inside the fast food chain. And soon enough, the two got their orders and enjoyed their meal. “I don’t know why but this hits different,” Kay said as she eat a French fry. “It really does. Especially since you are here,” Sugawara stated as he patted her head. Now, she was the one blushing. As the two chatted, the other customers and staff glanced at them every now and then. None of them were annoyed at their interactions. On the contrary, they enjoyed watching them,

Some felt envious of their relationship. Some dreamt to have something like that. And others remembered the times of old. The two were so sweet, it’s almost too much. Laughter and chattering echoed through the building from both the couple and the people around them. Then they were dub the “3 am couple” as the two would often venture in that restaurant at 3 am in the morning.

I woke up around 9 AM (although I was up at 4 AM to feed my cat). I scrolled on tiktok for a record breaking low of 10 minutes while I waited for my coffee to finish brewing. I have a french press, a drip maker, and a keurig available to me. My favorite is french press because the coffee comes out really rich and bold, but I’ve found that the drip maker is much less labor intensive and produces way more coffee.

I brewed six cups. My roommates never drink any of it even though I’ve let them know they’re welcome to...I really just make six cups because I have a bad habit of not eating breakfast and fueling myself with coffee until lunch.

Although, I did eat two Trader Joe’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dunkers with my coffee this morning. I bought these a few days ago alongside some chicken potstickers!

I got a text from my sister telling me one of our favorite kpop groups, ITZY, had finally released an english version of their song Not Shy. It definitely banged just as hard as the Korean version, but I’m not used to them speaking English!

Speaking of kpop, I was checking up on Twitter and saw that #kpop was trending. Turns out, #ImpeachBidenNow had been taken over by the kpop stans, which I loved. (For the uninitiated, whenever a certain kind of hashtag is trending, fans of kpop groups will spam it with videos of their favorite idols during live performances...it’s pretty funny)

After leisure-ing around for as long as I could justify, I decided to get some homework done before work. I started on some concept sketches for Text and Image and only got 3 done before I had to get ready.

While working on those, I put on Disney Channel’s Gravity Falls. It’s a really nice show to have on in the background when I’m working. Unfortunately, I was getting to the point in Season 2 where the plot really kicks up and I was getting distracted. I ended up switching over to Spotify for the rest of my work time, listening to a lot of TWICE and Red Velvet (...yes those are kpop groups).

For lunch, I popped a Totino’s Party Pizza in the oven. I can’t remember exactly how much the box of 4 I got was, but I know a single pack is like $2. A pretty good deal if you ask me! Regrettably, I ate the whole thing and it made my stomach hurt. It was scrumptious though, so I don’t know if I fully regret it.

As a palette cleanser, I ate one of those little oranges they sell in the red mesh bags (my roommate is yelling at me to call them Cuties but I refuse because I don’t want to call them that). They’re particularly good this time of year, with the perfect balance of sweet and sour. I’m also just biased heavily toward oranges.

Before heading off to work, I poured some of my morning coffee into my travel mug. It had been sitting on the hotplate of the drip maker all morning, so it’s flavor had...some character to it. I’m not sure if you’ve had coffee after it’s sat out for too long, but it’s got this....crispy taste on top of the bitterness. It wasn’t bad but I don’t think it was good either.

After my shift, I ate a 2 day old bagel from Panera. I had stopped at the Rosedale Mall Panera with Bryn Adams (shoutout lol) after our Color and Form lab on Wednesday. I got some other food, but I know that bagel cost like $3 dollars tops. It was still good after sitting in a bag for 2 days.

My roommate also handed me 3 sour cream and onion chips which cost me absolutely nothing. Take that capitalism.

After eating, I completed the first reading for Design and its Discontents and took notes. I listened to classical music while doing it, which helps me wind down for the night. Some of my favorites are Frühlingsstimmen, op. 410, Nocturne en mi bémol majeur opus 9 n. 2: Ballade en Sol Mineur No. 1 and Peer Gynt Suite 1, Op. 46: Anitra’s Dance.

Now I’m writing this post, and honestly, it’s been kind of fun to write this stuff down and log what I’m doing. I look forward to the rest of the month!

let me talk for a long time for a second but the 1 thing that i will never stop thinking about is that post that's like trying to defend mint chocolate being good .and everyone saying well no cuz it tastes like toothpaste .

and the op who was some kpop blog was so focused on making a funny zing of a meangirls kind of comeback that they said "this just tells me you guys don't brush your fucking teeth" like HOW much crack are you on. literally doesn't even make sense, how would it tell you people who associate mint flavourings with (mint fucking flavoured) toothpaste DONT brush their teeth.

it literally tells you we all DO brush our teeth and have for our entire lives 2 times a day associated the taste of mint with toothpaste and mouthwash . so obviously if that's drilled into ur head and sense memory ur going to associate all further mint flavourings with toothpaste. Fucking Hell . i am at the end of my rope. i am going to walk into the sea. what u could have said is u guys clearly haven't had good mint chocolate cuz YEAH, good mint chocolate doesn't make ur brain go This is toothpastey cuz the mint is actually sweet. but it's still not a good chocolate OR ice cream and the op of that post just wanted to be catty for notes. thank u for listening i am going to bed.
