My most recent watch included the 2012 movie Celeste & Jesse Forever, which I strictly had on my watchlist because of Andy Samberg. I had been putting off watching this movie for quite some time now because I was struggling with the fear that I would be bored out of my mind watching it. And I can safely say that I was pleasantly surprised by it.
The movie had something that I really loved (no not Andy Samberg) which is a simple and almost lifelike plot. There's something about seeing a movie that just naturally replicates life, without having to overdramatize every aspect of the plot, that I love. This movie felt like home, it felt like life, it felt like growing up, and I loved that. It also has Andy Samberg in it which I also love. <3
On the topic of Andy Samberg, I also absolutely love when comedic actors take on a more serious role. Both Andy Samberg and Rashida Jones did an absolutely fantastic job at showcasing these characters and how they are truly feeling. You can understand where both characters are coming from, and something I loved was that there was no one person you had to root for, everyone had something wrong or right going on. This is definitely a movie everyone should look into if they haven't already.
Celeste and Jesse met in high school and got married young. They laugh at the same jokes and finish each other’s sentences. They are forever linked in their friends’ minds as the perfect couple – she, a high-powered businesswoman and budding novelist; he, a free spirit who keeps things from getting boring. Their only problem is that they have decided to get divorced. Can their perfect relationship withstand this minor setback?

Joanna Newsom and Andy Samberg walking out to Jay Z's "Public Service Announcement" after their wedding ceremony is the best and HILARIOUS and the most Andy and Joanna thing ever lmaoaskhfsjd
I really love this genre of couple where you have an extremely competent, sarcastic lady with a tragic backstory and the soft boy who’s there for moral support. Also theres some sort of time loop happening.
