1. The development for relationships with Gisella and Wyatt has been lowered. You can see whether your relationship is sufficiently developed during the scene at the castle in Rajahili, if your branch is not with the characters who are present in the scene. If you have a love story with Reinhold, Delia or Vanora, if your relationship with Wyatt and Gisella is sufficiently leveled, you will get a friendly scene with them.

If Gisella and Taki die anyway, it means you didn't improve your relationship with them enough as you progressed through the story.

Correction of errors in episode 16:

1. Fixed an error in the branch with Wyatt if the MC is pregnant and the player selects “Trust his decision.” Wyatt will not disappear now and will be present until the end of the story.

2. The paid scene of a conversation with Wyatt about the wedding is now available only if the required development of a relationship with him has been reached.

3. Fixed a couple of minor errors that do not affect the course of the story.

Visual errors have also been fixed.

1. Sprite of animals along the branch with Reinhold;

2. Lack of smiles from guests;

3. The absence of a hand reaching forward in the cutscene of Wyatt’s death;

4. Reinhold has no scar;

Gotham’s city glow hit all the right places that Jason’s shadow couldn’t hide, casting the curves of your eyes, your nose, your cheeks, your lips in neon. The occasional siren and zooming cars faded as he listened to each of your breaths, every exhale slowing as you fell into a deeper sleep. He used to stay up for hours past the sun and past the moon in anxious torment over the angel in his bed.

Angel wasn’t the right word. A deity or simply some kind of divine? No, that wasn’t it either.

You rolled over, your leg hitching over his slightly. The sheets rolled and crumpled with you. When you settled, your breath of content was his. 

Jason knew the word. 

His heart.

It was true. Your breath was his as was your rhythm, and the pace you set was steadfast and quiet. It was something true that he could keep in tune.

He used to pace anxiously as you slept in bed, counting down the hours and minutes when you would wake. Years of constant vigilance made it difficult to still of his own accord. If he laid in bed, he could hear the raucous tempo of his thoughts. They blended in with the city noise–the siren, the cars, and on bad nights, the crying, the screams, the gun shots.

His heart used to fall into a discordant rhythm as if something was trying to crawl out of his chest.

It was horrifying, really, and he’d seen some shit.

But like that, you’d strike a chord with your sleep-laced song. It was a hymn, a hum, a request. 

“Come back to bed.”

On the reverb, he’d follow your command. The heart wants what it wants, after all.

It took him a while–weeks, days, months. Some nights would be good, and Jason would stay in bed all night. Other nights were bad. Those were the nights when patrol was better than sitting with worries of a future that might not ever come. 

But still, he came whenever you asked.

Your bedtime routine was practically a military march, and eventually he fell into your cadence. You had one half of the bed but also his half too. Jason didn’t mind the closeness. His heart could keep up and match your chords until one day your song became his.

Jason didn’t pace as much, if even at all. He laid in bed on your angel cloud, his heart your heart, your song his song, and his love was yours to take.

if you have extra spoons or just want to open it up to your community, I have questions about erotica and amazon.

Is there any content that amazon nukes that isn't implicitly part of it's TOS or written rules? For examples I guess:

Knots in erotica (were-anything, dragons, etc.) I heard from a friend that they don't allow this so they're trying to work around this by calling it everything but a knot.

How 'steamy' is too steamy? I know for non hetero they gloss over a lot of them but I guess what keywords did you have to avoid to not be shadow banned on their algorithm

I read up a little on what kinds of cover pictures were acceptable and that's just, weird but I guess color blocks and silhouettes are all in right now (It's erotica, why not have somebody in a questionable pose?!?)

And I guess this final question is a little outside what your book series did, but non humanoid love interests (more akin to Shape of Water and other love interests that look less like humans). What does Amazon expect the writers to avoid (aside from writing them in general) and what goods ways are there to put tags, the blurb, etc?!

So, for the most part, provided you stick to the TOS with Amazon, you're fine. However, the Amazon censors are human and have their own biases you have to contend with. Amazon also recently purged their dark romance category, which was an actual thing, presumably in an attempt to look squeaky clean despite romance and erotica being the backbone upon which KDP is built. Yay, sanitized capitalism...

I'm not aware of 'knotting' being banned, though it probably depends on whether you're writing straight or queer erotica and which human you get on the other end of the screen when it comes to final approval. There's a well-known problem with a homophobic censor on the weekends (Fuck you, Carlos, 🖕) who seemingly tends to knock back LGBTQ+ content on a whim. Hilariously, he knocked back the Fluff version of Hunger Pangs the first time I submitted it for approval. I didn't make any changes to the file and reuploaded it on Monday. Problem solved. (This also happened to Chuck Tingle about a year ago, though I can't seem to find the thread atm.)

When it comes to het-content, you can start the book with dubcon, and likely, nothing will happen. Queer content, you will want to give yourself a longer build-up to avoid getting knocked back. I've heard that censors stop reading after 20% but don't quote me on that. Putting certain content after that mark may be a way to avoid getting certain things picked up. When it comes to the algorithm, don't tag it like fic. Things like Shifter Romance, Monster Romance, and Gay Romance are acceptable (or whatever category you are in), but DO NOT tag it the way you would fic. A list like gay, shifter, knotting, BDSM, kink, tentacles--whatever-- is not how the Amazon algorithm works. Avoid putting trigger/content warnings anywhere inside the book as well. If you want a comprehensive list of content tags for your readers, you'll need to do what I did and have a specific page on your website listed at the front of your book, but you'll also want to keep that page inactive on your website until the book gets approved. These are the hoops we jump through to let our readers make informed choices... Also, don't tag it as queer anywhere. You can't even use 'queer' in reviews on Amazon anymore. 🙃

The reason you're currently seeing the trend of vector art and whatnot is twofold: one, it's cheaper than hiring models or paying for certain licensed content. Secondly, it's to avoid being flagged as erotic because we live in the bad place where everything must be sanitized for advertisers. You'll still see the odd headless hot-abbed torso, but it's safer to have non-explicit content on the cover. If you want a good example of how to code something as erotic without using explicit images, take a look at Katee Robert's covers. They tend to have a symbolic image framed in the middle surrounded by darkness with very vibrant colors--usually an electric purple, red or green.

In terms of content, in theory, as long as you are sticking to the TOS, you're fine. As for tagging, I sort of already answered this with how to tag via website links, but as for how to write blurbs, you're going to want to phrase it as something hintingly vague. For example: After an accident at work, Merissa finds herself plunged into an alternate fantasy dimension ruled over by the merfolk of Atlan'titsia. Captured, she is brought before the mysterious Prince SexyMonster, who claims her for himself. Bound and displayed as an oddity in his court, she is torn between her desire to return home and to learn more about this strange new place where desire rules supreme, and the rules are not at all what she expects... Or something to that effect. Don't ask me. I'm rubbish at blurbs, lmao.

Anyway, it's been a minute since I contended with Amazon's uploads, and some of this may have changed. If it has, I'd be curious to know what has changed. I hope some of that helps, though.

Also, before anyone starts ragging on Amazon for any of this, the TOS are pretty universal across the board. It's just more evident with Amazon because it's often the only place indies can afford to publish.

REAL ORIGINAL. This is going to sound like a total humblebrag, but my mom and I are both published academic authors, so we have to use our middle initials to distinguish who published what 🙃

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED? I played T-ball when I was 5 or 6 (hated it, cried so much that my parents pulled me out LMAO) and I was on the volleyball team in Grade 6. I'm left-handed and I had a habit of serving into the wall, unfortunately, and the habit got worse when I was nervous. During one game, they took pity on me so much that they paused the game until I got the ball over the net. In undergrad, I took an incredible linguistics/history course about writing systems, and that was probably my favourite class ever. DREAM JOB? I also loved Johaerys's answer here: "I don't think there's any sort of job anyone could do in this capitalist hellscape we're all currently living in that would be enjoyable enough to make up for, well... living in a capitalist hellscape." I'm lucky enough to work in the public healthcare system so I'm pretty safe from the worst of capitalism, I guess, though my job (speech-language pathologist) is one I chose more for practicality (certainty of employment) than because I was really passionate about it. If I could do something else and not have to worry about money, I would either want to be a fiction editor, or a sex therapist.

Now for the second one, they change it for the champions-but unlike hunger games to prove a point and get rid of him, they do it SOLELY to get Tanjirou to the capital and meet him, woo him, etc. Tanjirou of course gives them no time of the day. In fact he doesn't spend much time with anyone, just training....

The hashira miss their own parties, meetings and feasts with the other candidates for the games to go watch Tanjirou train🙃and maybe. Maybe Tanjirou starts, ahem, changing them.

4. favourite dish specific for your country?

i cant pick 😭 there’s too many i love, im gonna pick some from each category

soup : right now im really craving these chicken soups, like just chicken broth, with potatoes, beans, carrots, chicken, sometimes corn too…

appetizer : bakwan (fritters)! or martabak! (fried egg thingy with a thin skin of something idk i never made it 🙃)

main course : one of my favorite is rendang, that’s beef cooked with spices and coconut milk for houurrsss long. that or any kind of sate, which is beef/chicken/pork with sweet sauce, grilled over open fire

dessert : kue lapis legit (literally translates to chewy layered cake), pie susu (milk pie, from Bali), and this last one has a funny name im sorry 😂 kue pepe coklat (looks like the layered cake to but a lot more chewy and less cakey, i like to peel it off and eat it layer by layer, which you can’t really do with the other layered cake)

snack : risoles (especially if it’s with ham and mayo) or pastel, but i have no idea how to describe these sorry 😭

yes!! also a lot of seas, we’re an archipelago after all, though i havent really been to a lot because i live in the capital, buildings everywhere (boring), so my answer isnt really that valid 😂

lakes : i want to someday go to danau kelimutu, which is a group of three lakes, with different colors, it’s really pretty

mountains : i’ve only been to a few, and my favorite so far has been dieng, with its many craters, it’s spooky 😂

rivers : sadly i haven’t been to any pretty rivers…

in exchange imma answer with beaches! : okay this is more like island, but the closest pretty one to where i live is the kepulauan seribu (thousand isles complex?), and ive been to pulau tidung and it’s so pretty 🥰 and some of the smaller islands in the surrounding for day trips, but we stayed in pulau tidung, other pretty beaches are in bali but its already common knowledge
