ELLIE!! SO happy that totk finally released bc there's a chance you might hyperfixate and give me the yandere link content that sustains my life force. oh and uh, cuz we waited so long for this game too, of course!
prrrrr i really do love yan Link! so many potential avenues! i was replaying totk recently (bc i was so excited for it i literally blazed thru the whole gam 8 days after release LOL) and some gems really cropped up:
Tumblr media
1. Link makes you a little dream house in Tarrey Town to keep you safe and to take advantage of your inherent housewifery. He's so feral you don't even think about leaving even when he's gone for long stretches of time, because you know he'll track you down and drag you back home because you're not the hero silly! :) you stay home :) where it's safe :)
2. Yiga clan member reader who is constantly being hunted down and "rehabilitated" by the Hylian hero. Which is incredibly frustrating to you because a.) ur trying to kill him and b.) the other yiga quickly lose respect for you/shun you when they find out you're practically Link's little playtoy. Especially when he goes x2 as feral on the other yiga in battle when you're around cause he's bricked up at the very sight of you, and you end up getting chewed out by Kohga for letting him hit it and just escape afterwards.
3. You work at one of the stables or the little inn at Hateno village and Link falls so hard for you he's downright creepy. He's constantly hanging around and bringing you gifts and stuff you didn't ask for but you can't just tell him to go away cause...he's the hero. So you kinda just have to deal with his awkward stare and the fumbled kisses he steals behind the barn and try not to hurt his feelings because what are you gonna do if the hero of time decides to quit saving Hyrule because he got rejected?
4. You're part of the Gerudo/live in Gerudo town and Link is undeterred in his attempts to woo you, even though he can't step foot in town or he'll get locked up. So he either dresses up in the vai outfit or just lies in wait for you to leave the city for one reason or another, and then ambushes you and follows you around like a weird little stalker until you love him. Bonus if he scares off another suitor or saves you from a Molduga or--my personal favourite--your sand seal gets spooked and takes you far out into the desert and strands you by accident, and you're forced to accept Link's help when he comes to save you. And now, you owe him.
5. Much like Link, you're a fellow adventurer/wanderer/merchant/etc. and bump into him out in the wild. Maybe you share a campfire for a night and swap stories, or you give him directions, or you just wave at him in passing, and now Link is completely obsessed with you. He stalks you through the wild areas of Hyrule and never lets any harm befall you, be it monsters or gloom pits or pools of malice or just general unluckiness, and while you don't realize it's him you slowly feel less and less alone when you're out in the field. You swear you can even feel some kind of warmth when you lay down in your tent to sleep, like someone's curled up right next to you....
6. Link kidnaps you and takes you to Hyrule castle where he forcibly makes you pretend to be a princess. He dresses you up in pretty gowns and kills all the monsters lurking around so you'll always be safe, and he acts like you're his damsel in distress that he's constantly saving even though you're just some farmer girl he picked up off the side of the road and fell in love with. You're the pretty princess, he's your loyal knight, and if he does a really good job at "saving" you, maybe you'll let him stay in your room for the night when he keeps watch...?

In this house we believe in MASTER KOHGA SUPREMACY!!!!!!!! 🍌
I know this might look like "oh haha Veronica likes another fictional guy go figure 🙄" but NO. You dont understand. this goes so fucking deep, I LOVE this man. When his ass showed up on screen I SCREAMED. Literally no different from a girl at a Harry styles concert or something, except in this case it's me in my living room, and a fat old dude (who is VERY silly mind you) from a video game. We're almost encroaching self ship territory, but thankfully link is here, and to quote our lord and savior austin powers, he’s the town bicycle and EVERYONES had a ride. I can live vicariously through him. Let me tell you a little about my master kohga journey (totk spoilers)
So way back when I first played this game in 2017 or something, I really liked him, and when he fell down that hole I was CONVINCED he wasn't dead. I had a theory that link would go down in the hole in the sequel and kohga would be there, stuck. I remember I told this theory to someone and they actually LAUGHED!! well GUESS WHOS LAUGHING NOW BITCH!!!!!! MY FUCKIGN BOYFRIEND IS ALIVE!!!!! My theory was basically right, I just didn't know about the depths at all obviously. I came across kohga at the temple and I shit you not I was SCREAMING like an insane person. Like actual cringe fangirl shit in my living room. I was SO happy, that actually made my whole day and the days afterward. I'd just be sitting there and my brain would go "DUDE master kohga though" and then I would go ":)" I'm gonna go meet him in the gerudo depths and i’m excited to see him again :) This is what I have been doing between commissions. This is what keeps me sane somehow. Pear shaped king 😔💞 I hope you like my design for him sans the mask. He is so tricky to draw so idk if I'm gonna draw more of him BUT, just know that I WILL be thinking about him
(Also WHAT is with me liking characters who like bananas??? Why is this a reoccurring theme???)

How about legend and four with a reader who is seen by others as a boy because of his haircut? Like they cut it when they were in guard training or whatever from their hyrule, and the boys see the girls trying to flirt, without knowing that it's not a man? Feel free, just a stupid idea
Four and legand x kinda masc F! Reader / gender-fluid
OMGGGGGG first of all I just wanna say thank you for this request I never thought that I would get a request from one of my fav story makers!! BTW LOV YOUR DARK LINK STUFF :D

~~~
Only just yesterday you finally decided it was time to cut your hair after a while of letting it grow all the way down to your waist. When you finally came out of the inn you and the chain were staying at for a while in gerudo town in wilds world you were almost unrecognizable at first. The only reason they actually knew it was you is because twi sniffed your sent from a mile way.
Wind: “wow I almost didn’t recognize them at first!” 😦
Time: “I don’t think any of us did wind.”
Four: “well he’s got a point- uh… and thei r gone.”
Legand: “great..”
You literally just dashed out of there going to the up draft before taking off the go find riju and hopefully train with her for a while. You eventually found her in north gerudo ruins training on dummies again and you both agreed to battle each other for a bit of training. Little did you know that four and legand were looking for you in gerudo town thinking you’ll be there..
(Yeah I’m doing a lot of time skips because I’m getting a mind grain😬)
—————————
After around 3-4 hours of training with ruji (Btw ruji was the only one that recognized you straight away) you both decided to head to the town hoping the see the chain their already and only after the first few minutes of you both walking into town you started getting stairs and people whispering..
“Did ruji let in an another voe already?”
“Most likely but he’s cute in my opinion.”
Once you heard the vais say that you started giving ruji a side eye like your telling her “let’s bounce” but before you could even take another step a group of vai walked up to you and started commenting how you looked or how strong you were (not like they knew)
While the crowd was just getting larger and ruji was just trying to get you away from there you saw four and legend, and legend looked like he was about to beat the shit out of someone but he somehow kept his composer dragging you out of there in a instant with four watching
“You vai know that’s a female right?”
Four yelled into the crowd making everyone but ruji stunned as they were both pulling you back to the chain
“Never again..”
They both said almost in sync while you just nodded
“Fine fine… bozos-“
“Hey!”
~~~~~
Ye so uh that’s the end I might make a part two after Christmas but ye-
Requests are still open and I’m posting my ais on here so wait up for that and pokepasta stufffffff
BTW STILL LOVE UR STORIES AND THANKS FOR THE REQUEST😁

TW: Death, Blood, Murder, Assassination. My interpretation of Riju’s mother’s death :) /
Riju was only a little girl when her mother died. Her memory was fuzzy, but she could still picture the moments before her death crystal clear.
Like most little kids, Riju had a fight with her mother. It was something so trivial that the reason was completely gone from her memory.
But she remembered storming into the desert, her sneakers leaving deep marks into the sand, as she muttered and groveled under her breath. Waving her hands around frantically.
Riju didn’t mean to get lost that day. She was still young, and didn’t know the desert like she does now. It all looked the same to her back then. Big, sandy hills and hot wind that whipped at her cheeks.
By the time she realized that she was lost, the sun had set and the cold was creeping in. She looked around, confused, feeling tears weld up in her eyes. All she saw was yellow and orange, and the endless sea of sand.
“Mama?”
Her words were hoarse, on the verge of breaking, as her bottom lip began to quiver.
“Mama?”
She repeated, louder this time. But all she received was dead silence.
Until she heard the sound of chuckling behind her.
The girl wiped around, coming face-to-face with a group of Yiga Clan members. Riju didn’t know who the Yiga Clan were back then. To her, they were just scary masked people.
To them, she was a highly valuable asset. But it was up to their leader to decide if she would die, or be used as a hostage. But they needed to get her to the hideout first.
A gloved hand as big as Riju’s entire arm reached down to grab the small child, and she let out a loud scream.
The scream was enough to cause the group to shrink back and cover their ears, but only for a moment. The girl didn’t wait any more time, and spun on her heels, running in a random direction.
She screamed, sobbed, begged for help.
“Mama!! Mama!!!”
She wailed, her vision becoming blurry. Her legs ached but she didn’t stop running. In the distance, she could see small flames dotting across the horizon. Torches?
With no other choice, she ran towards them.
“Mama! Mama!!”
She screeched, coughing and choking on sand as the flames grew bigger and bigger. Until she could finally see who was holding them.
It was a group of Gerudo guards and her mother, the leader of the town. She looked beyond herself in worry, but she turned around so fast when she heard Riju’s voice, that she almost hit a guard with one of the torches.
“Riju!”
She ran towards her daughter, relieved, but it quickly turned to horror. Riju could see the guards running right behind her, shouting, waving their weapons.
But the child didn’t understand. Why were they telling her to run?
The leader could see what Riju couldn’t. A Yiga bowman, who had just released an arrow, aiming right at her precious daughter.
They weren’t going to make it on time. The arrow wasn’t going to be stopped.
Unless…
Without a second thought, the woman threw herself at her young daughter, grabbing her in her arms and twisting their bodies.
The arrow entered a lung, but not the lung of the target.
The two bodies crashed to the ground as the guards formed a protective circle around them.
Riju was confused. When she looked down at her hands, she noticed red. Paint? Why did her mother have paint? The woman gasped, finding breathing suddenly ten times more difficult. But that didn’t matter. She saved her daughter. She saved Riju.
She cupped the girl’s face in her hands, wiping tears and sand off her skin.
“Riju…”
She croaked.
“My little thunderstorm. I’m…so sorry that I yelled at you. I’m so sorry that we couldn’t find you earlier.”
A tear of her own traced down her cheek as she stared into her daughter’s big eyes.
“I’m so *proud* of you, vehvi. You’re going to be a great leader for our people. I’m…sorry I won’t be there to witness it.”
“Mama?”
“I love you, Riju. And I’m…sorry…”
With a thud, the woman collapsed, still. The guards began shouting in concern, shaking her. One, Buliara, scooped up the shaken Riju in her arms and ran back towards town.
“I’m so sorry Riju. I’m so so sorry.”

I love that the Gerudo in the Zelda universe have these dedicated teams dedicated to mastering different weapon types and are known worldwide for their impressive battle prowess and strategic minds.
And one of them insisted on wielding a giant cannon.
She proudly boasts her skill with it.
You can also talk to her during the "defend Gerudo town" mission and she's laughing and boasting at the enemies. She's one of the funniest Gerudo ever and her hilarious dialogue is easy to miss.
She says this while literally fighting off a horde of Gibdos from assaulting their town:
Hehehe! I don't care what everyone else says...Gibdos are still just monsters and a monster's head is always a weak point!
After you succeed the mission:
Hehehe! It looks like you did just about as well as me and my little friend here. Since you've been so helpful, I'll let you fire off a one-cannon salute whenever you like.
Think of all the little Gerudo girls that look up to her. Think of all the creepy men who fell before they even got close to the town. (deserved). Think of all the other women low-key wanting to also be the cannon woman.
Other armies in Hyrule talk so highly of the Gerudo, so they have to know Barta specifically, the "cannon woman" right?
Tumblr media
Barta is truly a treasure.

Here, i finally finished this💀
Meet my Zelink fan kids! I have alot planned for them, but I'm too shy to actually share everything, especially bc I've only now just started fully exploring Totk (i got the game around last month) and so i wanna make sure I'm like, canon accurate, but i wouldn't mind answering questions about them👉👈
Anyhow, some fun facts about the desings:
Sonia has scars on her eyes and the tip of her left ear, why? The ones on her eyes were caused by a wolf she came across the one time she ran away from home (due to her jealousy over her sister when she was born, it's a long story), the one on her ear is bc of a bird she tried to grab once since Adira thought it was cute and wanted to pet it (Adira was 2, Sonia was 5)
Sonia's earring was a gift from her bff/crush, a gerudo girl that imma keep secret for now bc I'm still working on her
Adira's feather necklace is a gift from her close buddy/bff, a rito, which I'm also gonna be hush hush about for now
Adira messes around with alot of not so safe devices out of curiosity and the need to create, but gets her hands dirty/hurt in the process, hence the band-aids
They both have small fangs thanks to their mom (iykyk)
Adira's favorite color is pink, Sonia's is blue
Also, huge thanks to @carogdraws for helping me desing their clothes! It was a huge help and i probably wouldn't have done it without it ^^
Now, those are the extra info i have for them, the rest of the basic info i have already shared will be under the cut
Yes it was copy pasted from the last post i did about them, but i have a need to keep everything in one neat little post sue me
The two girls are 3 years apart. Oldest is Sonia (yes, named after Queen Sonia herself), and the youngest is Adira
Sonia is more like her dad, especially in terms of looks, but she inherited her mother's eyes and thurst for answers. She's very energetic and adventurous and likes helping others
She tends to be the guinea-pig to a lot of her sister's projects and creations since she has almost no self-preservation. She enjoys it tho, thinking it as a fun activity to try out new things and hang out with her sister. She also enjoys carving things, mainly toys and masks. Most of her sister's toys were made by her when they were around 11 and 8
Although she is usually quite the airhead, and not really the brightest (like her dad, cough-), she definitely inherited her mother's overthinker mind. Doesn't help that she also tends to think little of herself, being the firstborn of the Princess and Hero themselves, alot of people put her under alot of high expectations and although her parents tried their best to show she didn't have to prove her worth, the gossip around town was hard to ignore, doesn't help the fact that her sister has started to become a prodigy to her mom, creating inventions to help hyrule and planning to bring the royal system back when she's old enough
Sonia though, has no intention of bringing the royal life back, nor to continue it. Like her dad she wants to explore, she's fascinated by history and wants to disvover every small relic left unseen. And she wants to travel beyond Hyrule one day as well and help those she comes across her path. But also perhaps, escape the duties and expectations others put on top of her, and perhaps prove herself better then those expectations
She loves her sister tho, despite everything, and will never admit to her how jelouse she actually is of Adira. How jealous she was of Adira of being able to hang out with their mom so much, have so much in common with her, sometimes she wonders if she has anything from her mom other then her eyes
Adira is alot like her mother, especially in the looks department, but she has her father's eyes and thurst for chaos. She's usually quiet, but very sassy when needs be, and although seeming quite shy, she got quite the temperament and wont hold back her tounge
Like mentioned previously she becoms a prodigy to her mom, creating and getting invested on inventions to help hyrule and planning to bring the royal system back when she's old enough. She spends most of her time studying and working on anything technology finding it fun to see what possible outcomes it came give
Although sometimes the pressure is too much, as much as her parents give her the liberty to explore her interests, as she had started to show advancements in her creations and helping hyrule, as well as proclaiming to bring back the kingdom (even tho she was a child when she said that), all eyes were now set on her and she is terrified of any failure, and to disappoint everyone, she usually confides on her sister who never cared of her status and just liked to be around her for her (and well, she felt too embarrassed about it to tell her parents about it, they didn't need to worry about such simple things in her eyes, they already fought the townsfolk so much bc of that, she didn't want to make them dislike her parents bc of her)
She admires her sister alot, looks up to her and wishes she could be as cool as her, as free as her, but she isn't good in any sort of physical activities and is usually just stuck in the lab. And that causes a smidge of jealousy as Sonia is able to bond more with their dad then Adira ever could, she feels like she has nothing in common to her dad other then his eyes and need for chaos (which the second part was something looked down apon by others)
And those are the basics i have so far, there is more but I'm unsure about it for now, and aren't 100% concrete yet, so i wont share at the moment
But before i end this, here are some small fun facts:
Both Sonia and Adira are pure glutons, just like their dad XD. They have cooking sessions together quite often, helping around the kitchen when they can;
Sonia loves horses as much as her dad does, but she is terrified of riding them, because when she was little and riding one for the first time, the person who set settle on didn't do it properly and she fell, head first into a rocky ground, and to add onto it, the horse stepped right onto her pinky. Now she has small panic attacks trying to ride them
Sonia actually used to hate Adira. Since Adira was a rainbow baby, Zelda and Link did kinda get overprotective with her and accidentally neglected Sonia. That didn't last long after Sonia did cause a whole scene with running away and almost getting killed- but that's likez a whole other story in itself lol (i might make a more detailed post about this later). But after that incident, they were able to work things out, and Sonia ended up being way more protective over Adira than her own parents

first kiss for redeemed ganny and y/n? TT_TT
So I've thought about this one for a bit and it kinda goes in line with the 'confession' part as in it's set sometime after that. like they understand their feelings but haven't made the final leap yet.
Y/N sighed as she stared at the journal before ultimately closing it. Rubbing her face, she tried to clear her head of the memories of the Depths.
"She is mine."
She shook her head, face flushing at the memory of his words. The way he stared down the Yiga before looking at her, as though trying to dissuade any fear she'd had.
"Which one of you was it?"
His anger when he truly saw the bruise on her jaw from where she'd been hit.
"I'm glad to have you back alive," his sigh whispered in the back of her mind as she stood.
"I need air," She muttered, stepping outside her home. Kakariko village was busy as always, with researchers running about and older folks working on their crops.
Grandma Mellie's head perked up as she walked past, smiling at the woman and waving. Behind her, she could see Ganondorf helping with the garden, tending to it under the old woman's instruction.
Her gaze fixed on him long enough to make him feel watched as he looked up and smiled, nodding to her.
Y/N's face went red as she waved before continuing on.
The Gerudo frowned, watching her. "You love her," Mellie chuckled, startling him. "Interesting. The Demon King and the Sheikah. Never would've thought I'd see that."
"It will never happen," He said firmly.
"What makes you so sure?"
"I'm not at liberty to experience such things," he said simply.
Mellie hummed as she studied him. He had refocused on his task, clearly not willing to accept the idea of it. "I think you're full of it, Ganondorf.'
He blinked at that, looking at the old woman as she studied her plum trees. "Love is a strange thing. It doesn't allow you to choose your liberties. Your heart knows best."
"My heart wanted to kill everyone in sight," Ganondorf grumbled, earning a soft whack to the back of his head. "Hey!"
"And yet. Somehow, despite this quote-unquote, magic amnesia, you found yourself desiring the woman who has done nothing but treat you as an equal. I think it's safe to say the intentions are pure."
He weighed her words and nodded. "Even so…" he hesitated to say this before sighing. "Even if I were to pursue her, I am unsure of how. It's been well over a hundred thousand years. If I ever pursued anyone, I doubt I could now."
"Based on what?"
"How would I court her properly?" He asked, looking at her. At her wheezing laugh, he sighed in defeat, looking away.
"Apologies. It's just, that you really must be lost in your own head if you ever thought Y/N cared for formality. She only became friends with the princess because of her personality." Mellie sighed out the last of her laugh as she studied the garden. "I think you've done enough today. Whether or not you decide to pursue her makes no difference to me, but don't hurt her. She's a strange girl but a good one. You'd make a cute couple."
Ganondorf's cheeks warmed as he nodded, getting up and looking around. Mellie nodded to the stream, letting him clean his hands in the water before leaving.
He aimed for the leader's home as he always did to report in when Y/N wasn't in charge of him. He saw her up by the device dispenser and gulped thickly, watching her.
They hadn't spoken much, if at all, since they left the Depths. Her usual bubbly attitude seemed exhausted by everything. He couldn't fault her for it though, as three days between his arrival and her vanishing would likely exhaust anyone.
He shook the thoughts of her being taken from his head. Likely, if he dwelled on it, he might act irrationally.
Paya greeted him as he entered, listening to his report of the day. "Alright. You're dismissed," she said simply, surprising him. At his hesitance, she looked at him and sighed. "Go find Y/N. If anything, make sure she doesn't get into any trouble."
Y/N studied the dispenser, dropping a Construct horn in to earn a balloon. She blushed as she remembered the way Ganondorf held her and shook her head.
"Quit," She sighed, putting away the strange device as she walked towards the chasm nearby. She only wanted to observe the area around her and take a moment of peace. She hadn't expected as she stared down into the deep darkness to have a hand pull her quickly away.
Turning, she saw Ganondorf's worried expression. "Oh, hey."
"Why were you standing so close?" He scolded. "What if you'd fallen?" At her shrug, he sighed. His hand was still on her shoulder, as though letting her go might cause her to tumble down. "Are you…alright?"
"Yeah, why?" She asked as her heart hammered again. She blushed and looked away, staring pointedly at the edge.
After a beat of silence, Ganondorf finally said, "I worry about you. You're practically a magnet for danger because of your innate curiosity."
"Not my fault everything interesting is a danger to me," she said, smiling softly. She flinched when a loud crack of thunder above them made them stop and look up seconds before the downpour began. "Wha–Woo!" She squeaked when he hurried her under the scaffolding for shelter. "Thanks."
"I don't want you sick again," He hummed, looking toward the village. He thought of what would be the best route to get her home quickly before hearing her soft sigh. Looking over, she sat on the ground, lounging as the storm rumbled. Amending, he sat beside her. "Y/N…I…"
Y/N studied him for a moment before moving closer to him. "I think I might love you," She finally said, making him flinch. "And, we don't have to do anything about it unless you want to. I just…think you're interesting."
Ganondorf smirked at that. "And a danger to you," He added before frowning. "Which is why…I hesitate. Should my memory return…and my power, I don't know what I'll do. If I'll hurt you. If I'll save you."
"You mean if your old self will just kill me."
"Stop saying every dark thought outloud," He snorted.
"Well, why wouldn't I? It's the truth, and what you were thinking. You're scared that…your past will kill me. I get it," She admitted. Biting her lip, she adjusted and cupped his face, making him look at her. "What if I said I don't care? That, I'm willing to take the risk?"
Ganondorf gulped as the tiny Hylian stilled. She was letting him choose. He reached up and cradled her hand.
It was at this moment that Farosh dipped its head down, studying them. Y/N was unaware of it as Ganondorf leaned closer. The dragon seemed to purr in approval before pulling away.
It was all he needed. Thinking back on it, it truly felt like a blessing from the dragon of courage as his lips touched hers.
The rain clouded their moment from the world and allowed them the moment to simply be.

A pretty easy exploit found in Tears of the Kingdom allows you to move NPCs around to basically wherever you want using two upside down Zonai carts, and I’ve seen a few people go “on dates” with their favorite characters.
I couldn’t really help myself, and went a little overboard taking a certain NPC as many places as I could today. Spoilers for TotK inbound!
Tumblr media
Out on a date with Purah, when I spot a pretty flower for my pretty flower.
Tumblr media
Purah can get pretty moody on rainy days, so I brought her a gift.
Tumblr media
Purah decided to return the favor and take the both of us out on a romantic trip to a heart shaped pond, and gave me a huge bouquet of flowers. She loved my dress, too. People, get yourself a girl who doesn’t judge you for what outfits you like to wear. And is also willing to peg you in said outfits.
Tumblr media
Bae wanted to visit a few sky temples, and what bae wants, bae gets. One long, romantic flight and we spent the rest of the day exploring the sky borne temple of Time together.
Tumblr media
After a few months of dating, I asked Purah to marry me, and she said yes! We decided to move in together as soon as possible. Here she is on moving day.
Tumblr media
Purah and I went to Gerudo town to shop for rings. I only get the best for my girl, after all.
Tumblr media
Next we went to Kakariko to tell Purah’s family the good news about our engagement. Paya wasn’t very enthusiastic about the news, though. Something about it being a terrible day for rain?
Tumblr media
Here my bestie and future wife finally meet! Sidon was so happy to meet Purah, and can’t wait to go on a double date with us and Yona. He’s thrilled that I want him to be my best man at the wedding.
Tumblr media
And here it is, the happy day! Married in Tarrey town, under the eyes of Hylia in the same spot as Hudson and Rhondson did a few years ago. We are now Mr. And Mrs. Nolastname!
And there you have it, the adventure of Link and Purah. This was a lot of fun to do, and I learned a lot. Like that fans have a ridiculous amount of use time. Takes nearly 30-40 minutes for them to timeout.
You can’t take characters to the depths, they despawn halfway down. That affected a few photoshoots I wanted to do.
And finally, never take your eyes off of your Waifu. Ever. The game will try to despawn any NPC in an area they shouldn’t be, so moving the camera off of Purah even for an instance had the risk of making her disappear in a puff of smoke, meaning wasting half an hour going back to Lookout Landing to pick her up again.

Selling Masks in Gerudo Town ☀️
Tumblr media
I had questions on if he'd really sold Masks ALL over Hyrule, but answered them quickly. He probably has better methods to do this, but he's got to have used this one at least once, right? If anyone asks, he's just a really skinny Hylian girl.
(I loved designing this outfit! Clothing folds are my jam.)

Kara Kara Bazaar had a delightful new addition; an extension of the Noble Canteen. Most of the Chain were happy to settle in the inn or do a little shipping. Hyrule, though, pulled Wild aside. “Still have those vai clothes?”
The champion lights up. “What are you thinking?”
“Want to go check out the new bar?”
“Yes! Come on, I’ll help you get ready.”
A quick scrub and Hyrule is sliding into silks; smooth and airy against his skin. They don’t need to wear the face coverings here, so Wild dips into his store of makeup. Glitter eyeshadow highlights his eyes and he sweeps gloss across Hyrule’s lips. Then he takes over the mirror to do his own.
“Well? What do you think?” Wild spins to show off the outfit and makeup.
“Stunning!”
“You look like a catch yourself!”
Hyrule smiles at the compliment, but it’s a little tight. The feeling is forgotten as Wild loops his arm in his and pulls him to the door. They have a bar to visit.
The bar is packed with people. Wild and Hyrule squeeze up to the counter and order drinks. People bump up against them and to one side, hylians are dancing. There are a few Gerudo women as well and a couple are chatting with the men.
Drinks in hand, Hyrule and Wild find a clear space and a little table to stand by. It’s barely a minute before two people come up.
“Hi cuties! My friend and I were hoping we could buy you a drink?”
Hyrule looks at the drink in his hand, still full, then at the two hylians. A girl and a boy; both dressed for the desert heat, although not in vai clothes. The girl’s hair is braided and looped up; the boy’s pulled back in a ponytail. They look similar in age to Wild and Hyrule.
“I’m Oshi,” the girl introduces herself, “and this is my friend Koran.” The boy waves.
Wild’s grin is welcoming. “I’m Wild! This is my friend Hyrule—funny name, I know. But ah,” he glances sideways at the traveler. “I think my friend is good on drinks.”
Wait...what? Hyrule looks at his cup and then back to Wild. “I mean, I can have more than one drink.”
The champion’s smile is fading. “I can get you another drink if you want one. Or you can have mine.”
“Oshi and Koran offered?”
The two friends simply smile and wait, not minding the discussion.
Wild nods slowly. “Yes, but in this case I think it would be…rude.”
“I don’t mind buying Hyrule a drink,” Oshi offers. She bats her lashes; they sparkle in the dim light. “I hope you don’t mind me saying so, but you are gorgeous. Look at your eyes!” she leans across the table, which pulls at her loose shirt.
Hyrule smiles back. “I love your hair braids. Can you tell me how you did them?”
Before Oshi can answer, Wild flashes them a blinding smile. “Give us just a moment, would you?”
“Of course.”
Hyrule glances back at the table as Wild pulls him a few feet away. “You need to stop it,” Wild hisses. “They’re not just being nice, they are flirting.”
“I know.” The traveler stares back, brows crinkling.
“You…do?”
Unbidden, annoyance surges. “I’m not as stupid as you think I am, Wild. I know what flirting is. I know what sex is, relationships, and everything else that goes along with it. Everyone acts like I’m—Wind, too young to hear about it. Just because I don’t want some of those things doesn’t mean I don’t know what they are!”
Wild steps back, hands up. “Woah, okay! I’m sorry! I just…didn’t want you to agree to something you didn’t understand.”
“I know. I know. But you never asked. You just assumed. I know my era isn’t like the rest of yours and there are not a lot of people around but…I like flirting with people. It’s fun. And it’s nice to feel wanted, you know? Even if I don’t want to do anything about it. Don’t you like feeling pretty, too?”
“Of course.” His face falls and he glances at the scars on his side and arm. The vai outfit hides little. “I get it. It’s nice to feel wanted.”
The annoyance vanishes and Hyrule steps closer, laying a hand on the champion’s arm. “I’m sorry I snapped. You were just trying to watch out for me.”
“I’m sorry I assumed. You never seemed interested in any of it before and…well, I guess I fell into the same trap as everyone else.” He still looks subdued.
“Really, Wild, it’s okay. Now, come on, I think we could both use some liquid encouragement to loosen up tonight.”
“Yeah.”
The traveler pauses and ducks slightly to look up at Wild. “Hey, what’s going on? Really?”
His face twists. “I just—I feel so bad for treating you like that. I should know better.”
“Why?”
“Because I…feel the same sometimes. Not always. But I get what you mean, about not wanting all the stuff that goes with being with someone. But sometimes I do want it and—anyway, it’s stupid.”
“It’s not stupid.” Hyrule grabs Wild’s hand and squeezes it. Somehow, this has drawn up more feelings than he was expecting. “You can feel however you want, champ.”
When Wild looks up, tears are brimming at the edges of his eyes. “But when if something’s wrong with me? The shrine messed up and I’m—broken.”
“You are not broken.” The traveler grabs his other hand and gives him a little shake. “Listen to me, Wild, there is nothing wrong with you. I know that’s hard to accept but…everyone is different.
“It took a while for me to realize I didn’t want to settle down and get married, you know? Warriors likes boys. Time is so focused on Malon that I don’t think he realizes anyone else exists in the world. Legend and Ravio are…well, whatever they’ve got going on. We’re all different.”
“But—”
“No buts. You can want someone and change your mind. You don’t have to do anything more or less than you want to. Don’t let anything make you feel guilty for that.”
“I don’t want to lead them on.” Wild lets go to wipe at his eyes, nearly smearing his eyeshadow.
“You aren’t.” Hyrule pulls him in for a hug. “And if they don’t appreciate you as you are, then you probably don’t want anything to do with them.”
Wild squeezes and when he pulls back, his smile is a little stronger. “Thanks for the talk, Rulie.”
“Any time. Now let’s go see if those drinks are still on the table.”

Prompt idea: Wild presenting Koko to the rest of the Chain
"I don't know how helpful Impa is going to be, she has a tendency to go on long rambling tangents that probably won't actually give us any answers but we can try," Wild said as they entered Kakariko Villiage, the old woman that liked to hang out by the entrance gave them a wave after she spotted him among their colorful group.
"It's worth a shot, at least she may be informed of any incidents that may be connected to the shadow," Warriors shrugged and glanced around the village. He had expected more of a trace of the ancient sheikah tech they had seen all over Wild's Hyrule.
"LIIIIIINNNK!" a shrill voice shrieked, originating from a little girl who was barreling at Wild at a tremendous speed. Thankfully the champion was able to catch her in a hug before she crashed into him like a cannonball.
"Hey, Koko!" Wild laughed as he let her go, "If you guys think I'm a good cook then you all have Koko to thank for that. She taught me everything I know. These are my uh, close traveling companions?"
"Koko thought you were gone for FOREVER!" she frowned dramatically.
"You must be really good if you taught Link how to cook, what kind of things did you teach him?" Wind interrupted and Koko immediately lit up with a grin.
"Well, Mother really liked apples, so she taught Koko a bunch of apple recipes! Koko taught Link how to cook them with honey and butter!" She exclaimed.
"Oh, those are so good! I love it when he makes them for us!"
"She's a great teacher, anyway, Koko? Can you go tell your dad that Impa is getting some visitors?" Wild interrupted.
"You got it! But Koko has recipes for you to learn, so you better not disappear again!" She demanded, running off before he could utter an answer. He smiled at her unending enthusiasm.
"Is there a single child in your era that you don't get along with? First, the chief of the Gerudo and a whole hatchery of Rito fledglings, now you almost get pummeled by a toddler," Time smiled, it was nice to see that one of the things most of them seemed to have was an aggressive older brotherly streak.
"I don't think so, I think it's one of the things I retained from before the calamity. I used to be an older brother," Wild mentioned far too casually with a little sadness behind his expression.
"Come on, I think Impa is sick of waiting for me," He jogged ahead of them, which Time accepted easily because he had no idea how to respond to that.
