I like to imagine that if wild goes back to the chain after totk he’s gonna have trouble sleeping because he looks at the sky and just knows Zelda is up there somewhere, lost and alone.

Yeah, even though I think the refounding of hyrule and the zonai coming down from the heavens happens after the events of all the other games, usually they're being bounced back and forth through time so it's impossible to tell if they're going through a time where Zelda is just floating around.

Sometimes he swears he can see something moving beyond the clouds or catches a hint of a glow in the sky but he can never be sure. Maybe now he understands how it feels to be left behind through time when Zelda can never know if he's okay or not.

At least Sky isn't alone staring up sadly into the sky anymore lol

LMAO I'll try, I'm at kind of a weird spot with it, where I have a bunch of the major moments planned out but I'm struggling with all the in-between stuff, and with the release of totk taking up a lot of my creative brain power, that fic hasn't been extremely high on my priority list. Though it also seems to be more well-liked than my other long multi-chapter fic so I could see myself working on it before that one at least lol.

I'm also really unsure about having to stick with the timeline/ events of AoC for it, that game has some weird shit going on and idk if I even want to deal with it all. That and I may have to replay it or at least the cutscenes to refresh myself on its story but that feels like a bit of a chore. I'll probably just mold it into my own beast and not worry about the order of things in AoC. or have Wild be doing a whole lot of bullshit on the side while the events happen slightly away from him lol. That could be fun.

Anyway thanks for the interest, I'll try to work on it a least in the planning stages to get the story where I want it.

My favourite female character is Andromeda. The woman is indomitable. She runs away from the wealth and privilege she was born into (with seemingly no fear of Bellatrix). She raises the wonder that is Tonks. She then looses her daughter and husband yet still finds the strength to raise Teddy. A 👸🏻

It's so sad to think about how Andromeda really lost everything to the blood war. First, she lost her family when she married Ted Tonks, a muggleborn, because they couldn't see past their own prejudice.

Then, her husband was killed due to the Muggleborn Registration Commission and she didn't even have time to mourn because, not even a year later, her daughter was killed by her own aunt, Andromeda's sister.

Yet, she still had the strength to raise Teddy (with help from Harry and the Weasley's.) That takes an iron will. She really is a queen.

Hi Robert, I've been rewatching Andromeda with a friend and having a blast. I watched it as it aired with my dad when I was a kid, and it was hugely influential to me and my own writing. My friend and I just got to 'Ouroboros,' and I realized I can ask something I've wondered for, god, 20+ years now. Why *did* Trance's skin tone change as she grew older? I've seen a theory that it alludes to how stars change color as they age, but is that the real-world reason?

After Ouroboros, Trance is moving toward you much slower. Or maybe she's moving away? I suppose it really depends on what color she is when she's standing still. I mean, gold is right in the middle.*

*The real world reason is that Tribune and Fireworks thought the purple version of Trance was too cute and not "f---able" enough (their exact word). They wanted her to be sexier and seem older. I fought it tooth and nail, finally folded, and got fired. Hurrah, TV!

'How has the Marauders fandom hurt you today?'

By turning the Black Sisters into abused, cynical sad girls™ with no agency, a characterisation that is the very opposite of how canon presents them. Even Andromeda is no 'sad girl'. In the only scene we have of her, she is described as haughty. Narcissa is only sad because of Draco being in danger. And Bellatrix... How can anyone read about someone so exuberant and...sensual, who enjoys life to the fullest especially in battle and while she kills and tortures people, and see a sad girl? She is sad in one or two scenes because she is human and things are not going well, but when they are going well, like at the beginning of the Department of Mysteries and in DH when she thinks Harry is dead, she is positively vivacious.

And people who are abused obviously do not have monolithic personalities but abuse leaves signs that I do not see in any of the Black sisters. You can see such signs clearly in someone like Merope, for instance she is defeatist, but nothing like that in the Black sisters. I really hate the obsession this fandom has of giving villains/darker characters tragic backstories and they're not even creative about the tragic backstories. It always has to be child abuse. Sirius going to Azkaban at 21 for a crime he didn't commit after his best friend got betrayed by one of his other friends and died isn't that tragic. He has to be tortured by Walburga to be tragic enough for them.

Dear @fugamalefica, preach. Dialling up child abuse to make the characters "interesting" or "tragic" is a cheap way to characterise. Especially if no thought is given to its lifelong effects. Actual survivors of child abuse will show signs of it well into adulthood or for their entire lives. It's glossed over. Romance "fixes" the abuse. That's not how it works. It is fanfiction. It does not have to be realistic. It does not have to be accurate. It is frustrating when this narrative is pushed on all parts of fandom. When fanon relies on bad narrative, bad characterisation.

The Black sisters in fandom are sad, hysterical, or forgotten. When you want to write them in a different way you get hate.

PLEASE elaborate on the phoenix and franziska shenanigans during the 7yg you have NO idea how much i like them

I am someone who loved the investigative portion of Bridge to the Turnabout where Franziska had to babysit Phoenix when he wasn't allowed to follow Miles and Iris. I think when he's not her rival defense attorney and is looking particularly pathetic, she is actually pretty chill around him. She is not exempt from his aura that gets young women to imprint on him and follow him around.

She is genuinely offended on his behalf when he gets disbarred because he beat Miles and Manfred and even her! why the hell would he cheat in a case against a teenager! She does not think for a second that he forged that diary page because she knows firsthand how he throws himself into things and cannot prepare an entire evil plan for shit. However, she does not know how to convey this to him so she bullies Miles into flying him and Trucy around because Miles is almost too good at being resigned to pine sadly from a distance.

It's also important to know that she sees Phoenix being a caring father to Trucy and as someone who never really had a valid father, decided that maybe (ex) defense attorneys have rights... Even if Miles didn't get his shit together to put a ring on That Man's finger, Franziska would find herself in Phoenix's found family, it's only a matter of time.

For some reason Phoenix doesn't go to court with Edgeworth, maybe he can't stand being there while not being a lawyer, maybe he forgot he wasn't an attorney once and got kicked out for yelling out an objection, it doesn't matter, Trucy gets to be Edgeworths weirdgirl assistant and Phoenix is stuck investigating with Franziska and they are the worst people to keep each other out of trouble. We're talking about 'guy who ran across a burning bridge' and 'woman who got shot in the shoulder and still managed to get to court eventually' they are an unstoppable duo when they find something they can both get behind.

If anyone can slowly get Franziska to loosen up and learn to embrace the childhood that she lost, it would be Phoenix. I mean, this girl passed the bar at like 13 there was no way she had time to binge she-ra and check out books on drawing horses from the library. He would convince her to get a cat who hangs out in a window backpack that she can carry around during her travels because it turns out that her life is kinda lonely and she totally seems like the cat lesbian type. She is also allergic to cats so she has to get a sphinx or a devon rex or just the most gargoyle/ golbin looking creature to walk on this earth. That just seems like her vibe.

I'm always coming up with color palettes and find them super important when thinking about character design, colors not just for clothes and general art stuff but also for the vibes.

Andromeda is widely known as the kindest of the Blacks at school, but everyone always forgets that this is in comparison to her relatives; she’s the most deranged person around in every other context. Snape is the only person to never forget this, aside from her family, because Andromeda just despises him and will attack him at the drop of a hat.

Snape, thinking of how Andromeda hexed his legs backward two days ago and he had to hobble to the infirmary to fix it, only to learn that actually, this particular spell means the bones will have to be regrown entirely, all because he called Sirius an arrogant prick (he knows damn well she agrees with the statement, Snape has heard her call Sirius that to his face): Yeah, she’s a blessing
