Oh hello everyone! Happy 2024!

Sorry for the lack of posting. To be honest I've been in a bad funk and this week in particular only made it harder. Still, I wanna not let the rust settle in so here's a quick thing because one of the BEST parts of the new year is the One Piece anime returning and reaching the newest arc, SO, here's an Egghead Luffy because...boy oh boy I sure do love One Piece.

Ohk low-key, the One Piece live action looked so fun. I just had to binge one piece, and now it's the only thing I can think about. I'm obsessed.

Usopp being Luffy's corner man in the combat round of the Davy Back fight is the funniest joke in the arc...

I love that Oda doubles down on making one piece silly when he gets the chance. He'll make the most heart wrenching plot points with characters giving solid life advice. Will have you bawling your eyes out over objects, create some of the coolest moments.

But he allows things to be silly. The gear 5 fight is silly, it's hilarious. It's old school slap stick cartoons used as the ultimate form luffy can take. It's cool, but it's hilarious.

He makes some of the most inventive powers because he allows himself to pick things that are dumb or gag powers and tries to figure our how they'd work. And ever time he does it's so exciting.

Some of the best fights in one piece are ones where characters have these ridiculous abilities that in any other shounen might have been a comedic relief character, but the way they're written makes them memorable.

ONE PIECE EP 1000

I finally got here. Little did old 2016 baby me, who vehemently refused to get into One Piece because of how long it was, would be amazed. Honestly, old me would definitely look up to and be proud of who I am today just in general lol

But wow. I entirely forgot the reanimated opening of the We Are! with the Post Timeskip designs. But just so many memories we've made with the Straw-hats and the commemorations of the headshots and iconic scenes replaying each of their moments was very well edited.

I'm just so happy to have gotten here, honestly feel like this deserves a cake or something to celebrate (even though I can't have gluten haha.)

Here's to loving an amazing series.

tbh at first I was such a piece of shit, I thought one piece and it’s art style was too goofy for an anime (sorry I was a kid back then and only watches the general pretty anime) but now I understand how unique is what makes it beautiful and it’s amazing and cool in its own way, I even fell in love with the characters’ looks, especially original drawn by oda (colorspreads or manga) they’re the best, I love ace so much, I love one piece so much, to me the whole thing and story is a master piece, oda is crazy for that and I’m amazed how dedicated he is to the story and able to be this successful. I regret not watching one piece earlier but grateful I still watch in the end. my stubborn ass past self eugh 😡 the story is very very good even though it’s one of a slowburn hell but I love it, and how it able to make me cry every arc, and almost every episodes, but also laughs so much, I just can’t express how much more I love this series. <3

"But if college was free, then people would abuse that and get useless degrees" hell yeah I would! If I could go to college without debt I would make it my job to get a degree in every little thing that interested me. I'd get a doctorate in film studies. I'd have a bachelor's degree for every science I like. I'd try to learn at least 5 languages with varying results. I would learn something "useful" like coding and then follow it up with a ""useless"" degree like art history. I'd be the world record speed run holder for getting every degree possible.

But I can't afford college without going into massive debt, so instead I spent the last 5 years trying to figure out what I am passionate enough about to consider going into debt over, because unfortunately being passionate about everything is extremely expensive to pursue.
