At first i was not sure about the new Post Malone Album but after this funky tune I'm hooked why is this so catchy.

So one thing I like about Time is that he will talk about his life and journeys

He talks about it! He'll tell the boys stories and answer questions. (...when asked)

Obviously he tells his family- Malon knows everything

But he has also never held back from telling the boys stories or answering questions

I'm still always cackling over him telling them about gerudo town- he is way too proud to brag about being a mischievous gremlin

"I proved to be a greater thief than all of ganons tribe"- oh yeah. He's definitely the good influence. (That's sarcasm, Wars is the one good example for the younger ones.)

He just. He looks so smug to tell them about his experiences with the Gerudo- I love how often we see him just talking to them and answering questions about his life.

Even if it's clearly painful memories- he has still always told them

Obviously Time talks to Twilight the most about stuff- and everyone knows that (to where Sky went to him for questions about Time)

But the thing that get me the most is Wind.

Wind asked about... everything! Wind asked about his first journey and his life- and Time told him

The sheer transition from

"I was wondering... about your original journey"

To

"You told me about your original journey. Everything you said... the sages you described, the old traditions, the old stories- all of it! ...)

And this literally drives me insane because Time told him- Time told him everything! He told him about the sages, traditions- Time literally openly talked to Wind about his first Journey because he asked.

The Hero of Time's story had always been a tragedy- I mean... yikes. Trauma much? But I think people overlook this part of him- that he's older. All the hurt and scars are still there, but he has learned to talk about it to deal with it. And I think I know why- (Read)

Malon Malon Malon Malon!!! Jojo showed this set up for their marriage- Time was and is traumatized. But he and Malon worked to talk through things. I mean. Can you imagine keeping secrets from Malon? I don't want to. I feel like she would throw a cow at me. Anyways.

It takes a lot to work through trauma and learn to talk through it. Malon claimed him tho, so I don't think he had a choice. But seriously- she helped him work through things as family. Which led to a successful marriage for both of them, and got Time to where he can talk about these things with the boys :D

But

Time is a troll, so although he will share his insane life stories.... he will also say he fought the moon with no more context, and tell his wife that they have a descendant but not freaking tell her which one it is.

He's so insane I love it <3

Just don't forget this part of him... don't forget that rather it's sad or goofy or whatever- he will talk about his life. If someone simply asks

ok well let’s see i hate the album title so that puts me off to start w. what also puts me off is seeing 16 songs which says to me that she made too many songs rather than focusing on making less really good ones so i’m already like ok this is going to be not so great. i am going to listen to florida!!! first as a huge florence fan but i will listen to the rest in order after that ok i will put a read more here for my thoughts on each song

florida!!!: “my friends all smell like weed or little babies” 😭😭😭😭😭 songwriter of our generation ok…..let me be real florence shows taylor up in this song so much she’s just such an artist and her part sounds so good vs taylor’s part is just ok. so first part is ok the rest of the song is really good actually. the parts where they sing together are also really good. florence is great at doing backing vocals for both herself & taylor. thank u florence 🙏 9/10

fortnight: found this p boring it’s ok. not terrible or like bad or anything. it’s fine. i feel like it could be any song ever tho. didn’t need post malone on this at all. 5/10

the tortured poets department: “we declared charlie puth should be a bigger artist” girl what……her lyrics are so weird sometimes fr. first of all he has 35 mil listeners on spotify i think he is big enough. second of all why didn’t u ft him on the album then taylor? idk why i’m beefing over this lyric i just think it’s stupid. girl i listen to artists w like 100k listeners i think THEY should be bigger artists. this one was ok it sounds like a taylor swift song. i guess if u liked taylor swift u would probably like this. 5/10

my boy only breaks his favorite toys: this one is a little more interesting sounding i guess but all three of these songs have kind of sounded the same so far….probably liked this one the best so far since it at least had some variances in the sounds in the chorus and the bridge and outro 6/10

down bad: why does she have to sing in this breathy way in every song it’s so boring 😭 like girl i’m assuming you can sing fr right? this sounds just like the first 2 songs 😭 the way she is saying fuck in like every song is so funny to me tho it’s like she is in middle school and said fuck for the first time and was like hold on now i can say this constantly :) 4/10

so long london: god finally a song that sounds a little different 😩 and she’s actually singing a little more in this one and has a little emotion in her voice. 7/10

but daddy i love him: hate this title so much god….and almost 6 mins 😩 god back to the breathy voice again. ok at least the chorus is interesting. she’s too old for this song she’s in her 30s and this sounds like love story pt 2. girl if ur dad is stopping u from marrying some guy in ur 30s that’s a problem. this feels more like a taylor swift song now that she stopped doing the breathy voice in the rest of the song. this isn’t bad i don’t like the concept of it but it sounds good actually hate that. i would have really liked this age 14 or smth…..8/10

fresh out the slammer: this sounds like the other songs again and she’s doing that breathy voice in the chorus girl open your mouth idk 😭 did nothing for me at all 4/10

florida!!! (again): going to listen a second time now that i’ve heard the other songs. ok i can appreciate this even more now bc it has some variance to it after so many of those songs sounded the same 😩 i do like this song i’m glad she went more for sounding like a florence song than trying to make florence adapt more for her style it makes the song really stand out. 9/10 still

guilty as sin?: it’s ok more interesting than some of the others but nothing that really stands out to me 6/10

who’s afraid of little old me: finally using her voice a little in this song 😩 i like how she yells who’s afraid of little me. i actually like this one i like that she’s angry god she’s actually feeling smth here 😭 i would actually listen to this again probably 8/10

i can fix him (no i really can): is this abt matty healy 😑 doesn’t do this for me at all and is insanely heterosexual. 2/10

loml: this is boring idk what else to say. like this is just like. yeah ok. girl you don’t need this song at all i think u said this already in a song that was somewhat more interesting idk. 2/10

i can do it with a broken heart: ok this one is more interesting again and it’s a little faster. i think i actually like this one omg 😩 i wish it didn’t get slow at some parts but this is the closest she has to a fun song on this album so far. 8/10

the smallest man who ever lived: this one has good parts & boring parts. the first half is whatever but i liked the second part. again the best parts are the ones where she actually sounds like she cares and the music has some emotion rather than just being a beat. 6/10

the alchemy: this song sounds like all the songs on this album were put together and this was the song that was produced from that like 😭 this sounds like every single song on this. 5/10

clara bow: not her referencing herself in this song……this song was so whatever. idk what the point of it was. 4/10

final thoughts: this could have been a potentially good album if she knew how to edit herself. so many of these songs sound the same and say the same things in different words she should have just taken the best parts of them and put them together and made less really good songs instead of just making several songs that sound the same and are mediocre bc of it. i also think she is going herself a massive disservice by leaning into the indie sound again like girl yes phoebe bridgers is popular but u don’t have to be her. i feel like she has lost all sense of personality behind her own work this feels so like. an ai could have made it genuinely. it’s like she is trying to have a mature sound at the cost of entirely removing any of herself from it at all. this was like listening to one really long song tbh w a few songs that stood out but for the most part you could just put them all together and listen to an hr long song and u wouldn’t notice. like that’s not good 😭 i wish she had someone to be like taylor. u don’t need these extra songs. let’s make these songs really good instead. i also wish she would get a new producer or smth that would help her make actually interesting and compelling music instead of just having the same dull background music and her doing that breathy voice that’s barely singing. ok sorry to rag on her for so long but she is a billionaire she has the freedom to make real expressive art that could be experimental or interesting if she wanted to and she just makes. this. like girl u have enough money stop making music for money & start making it for the art of it all. w peace and love. those are my thoughts.

What I love about them: i love that he comes off as the extremely grave serious leader type but he, like any other link, is also a little bit of a shithead. like he too has gremlin tendencies. he likes to fuck with the rest of the chain but it's so hard to tell when he's joking. they can never tell if he's being serious or not. love characters like that. Also love that at this point he's just some guy who lives on a farm and would much rather like. be with his wife than deal with all this cosmic nonsense. like legend, being tired of playing hylia's games but also not knowing how to stop. also also that he is the group dad and really does care deeply for these boys

What I hate about them: i just want more of his backstory post-mm i feel like a lot is teased in the comic but we just haven't gotten it yet

Favorite Moment/Quote: the comic where he jokes about fighting the moon it's my absolute favorite moment with him.

What I would like to see more focus on: i would love to see more of like. the weird tension that I feel like he and sky would have. Like that Time is so bitter about everything and isn't shy about it, and the fact that sky is also bitter to an extent but feels the need to defend zelda and by extension hylia anyway bc he loves her. and the guilt that sky would feel abt demises' curse and how Time might inadvertently make him feel worse about it. Not that they don't get along they Do but there is Tension.

What I would like to see less focus on: him being like. the fun police. you think he'd stop wild from shieldsurfing down steep hills? you fools. any time any one of them suggests something stupid and dangerous there is at least a solid 30 seconds of Time seriously considering it bc it would be cool

Handwriting Headcanons

Same dynamic as before, try to guess whose handwriting it is before reading and tell me how many you got right! <3

Quick disclaimer: halfway through making my initial notes, I remembered I had one (1) single lesson of graphology in my applied linguistics class, but that was a year ago and some information might be off. I just thought it was neat to include.

Another quick disclaimer: I don’t know much about Hylian, but I like to think it has a similar stroke system to Japanese, so the pressure and accuracy of your strokes play a major role in your handwriting (among other things, ofc.) so there are some parts where I focus more on that

Sky

Our first boy is mother hen! Believe it or not, he has the prettiest handwriting out of all of them! Sky: probably has nice, even elegant handwriting because Sun forced him to practice when they were little. In the end, that paid off because his handwriting is the prettiest one. There’s no pressure, but he is confident in what he writes that his lines aren’t thin. Mistakes? what is that? this boy has impeccable grammar and spelling. No mechanic errors to be found in his letters! I’d like to think that many of Hyrule’s classic/staple poems were originally written by the firt king aka sky child. Like, imagine, after a retiring from being a Person of Power (as the first ruler), Sky finds comfort in the arts: revisits his old woodcarvings and starts writing poetry about the world he still doesn’t fully understand. wowie. tldr: sky writes poetry and you can pry it from my cold dead hands.

2. Time

I’ll die on the “Time didn’t know how to read and write” hill. His handwriting is simple, not pretty but not messy. It has some grammar and spelling mistakes here and there. Can become unreadable if writing in a hurry, he sorts of forgets spaces between words are a thing/letters have different sizes and lowercase letters end up the same size as capital letters. I’m not saying he sometimes forgets to write articles: he just doesn’t want to. Honestly, he just has this dad-neat handwriting. He is a gentle dad and writes like a dad, if he puts too much pressure onto the paper, his handwriting become too sharp/angle-ish and ends up looking ugly. And as much as he would like to not care about it, in the end he does (:

Malon taught him how to write and it was quite the experience. At first he didn’t want to because he was ‘too old’ to learn and it was torture at first, but now look at him devouring his cowboy novels.

3. my mansss, your  4x1 deal at Target: Four

Look, my boy is patient! He could do some nice and fancy lettering if he wanted to. He was taught that handwriting and spelling said a whole lot about him as a person, you know, like a first impression kinda thing; so he always proof reads more than twice before sending ­a letter. Super rare grammar mistakes.

The faster he writes, the more slant his writing becomes. Under stress/ when not sure how to write things down, run-on sentences are everywhere and his handwriting is inconsistent in general (I don’t headcanon each part of him having completely different handwriting because handwriting becomes muscle memory over time. It’s just slightly different variations of the same, like idk  Vio’s handwriting is neater than Green’s and Red writes hearts instead of any dot/circle and no, I do not take constructive criticism on that, jk i do.) Adding on to each of the colours’ handwriting, I’d think Red and Green write with words slanted to the right( inclined), Vio is a mix of the opposite, so reclined and straight, and my mans blue a true neutral writes straight (kinda like Time’s).

The logic behind this is that inclined writing supposedly means honesty and need for giving (and getting) affection; reclined means, as you can probably imagine,  defensiveness and repression of true feelings, but also shows great concentration; straight handwriting means self-control, observation and reflection as well as distrust and indifference. But as complete being (tm), Four just writes as in the image example which is not too straight and not too inclined, and I believe that’s a good middle for him

HOWEVER, if I’m feeling in the mood for crack, I totally accept this boy to have the ugliest, chicken scratches-looking handwriting! :’D It’s just funny to think that someone like him, who has to be precise and careful in his work, can't write neatly to save his life.

4.- Mister Bunny Boy - Legend

His uncle taught him how to write. I’d call his handwriting pretty and neat at a first glance, but he presses too hard on the paper, most of the time staining the back or the following page. Sometimes will retrace some words if he doesn’t like how it looks (which only makes it messier). According to my notes, a thick or strong handwriting represents determination/commitment.

As I also headcanon him to know many languages, mechanical errors are more present than grammar ones; that is, weird capitalisation of words. Punctuation is somewhere in between; uses too many commas when he should just cut the sentence. he mixes punctuation from two languages or more in writing when too distracted (or too focused, because, well, pressure.); when he writes for himself, he has almost no problem following said language’s punctuation rules. Also, this is just polyglot culture, and I’m projecting a bit, but when he forgets a word in the language he’s writing, he just replaces it with its equivalent in another language because we don’t care about fluency, but rather functionality. in this household (more on that in my language hc, ksksks).

4.-  Mr. Wolfman, howl me a song - Twilight

I don’t have much for him because 1) I don’t think he writes a lot and 2) he is a hands-on/visual learner, I’ll die by that. He only learnt how to write because Ulli insisted it was important and he was not about to disrespect his momma; he IS That Guy, but doesn’t really write enough to have neat handwriting.

Many people seem to overlook the fact that his house is filled with books and write him as completely illiterate (which if not explored properly, ends up feeling a bit disrespectful and full of prejudice, but go off I guess; and that’s on my core Headcanons for Twi); however, he sticks to simple sentences. Knowing how to read and understanding a text is different from knowing how to write them. Like, when we would see a semicolon and understand its position in the text, but didn’t understand the nature of it. Is this clear? idk i’m sorry. So yeah, boy reads a lot, writes very little.

As for his Actual Handwriting, as opposed to Legend, his handwriting is thiccc but not because he presses into the paper; he is just that messy, he has no sense of ink-flow-control, he does what he can with what he has. To the untrained eye, his handwriting illegible letters like v, n, u are very similar; when he makes notes for himself he does it in the form of doodles or small ‘icons’. But! He reads a lot, so he rarely makes spelling mistakes (: he is your go-to guy when you don’t know how to write a word.

3. My first born- Warrior

Okay, first off... I accept this is completely biased. I saw the idea and said “That’s True”. If you haven’t, please read Effective Communication; or The Lack of Thereof by htruona, a fic where the boys reflect on the language barriers between them. It’s incredibly funny and probably what made me start making these silly notes. So, if you’ve read that fic, you know where I’m going.

My man, Warrior, can’t fucking write. I mean, he physically can, but it’s very bad. Here’s the reason for it, tho, and it’s not his fault: Technically, he knew how to write alright but he joined the military and whatever note he had to write had to be concise or in the worst case coded. He mixes capital and lowercase letters. If we consider that he joined the military at around 15, his handwriting and grammar had yet to continue developing. Just think about how after summer break, your handwriting was always slightly worse than before because you didn’t write for an entire month. Now think what 2 years can do to that. Hmm, not cool, dude. He makes quick notes, when writing he’s all gotta go fast. he is the lighting mcqueen of writing; good for emergency messages, not ideal for love letters. His punctuation also suffered a lot, he only know full stops and commas and hardly uses them. A sentence for him is either one word or fifty without a single comma, no inbetween.

7.- Magic man - Hyrule

I’m basic and I do agree with the popular headcanon of he not knowing how to write because well, y’all know his Hyrule. He only knows how to write his name because that’s important, same with numbers. I don’t see why would he write/read except checking the roadsigns. (he can even use this as an excuse for getting lost frequently; he thought it said something different.) But I do think that because his habitual reading consists of roadsigns, his ‘punctuation’ is weird af and places full stops/points/periods at the same level of his words and his commas/question/exclamation marks below them. Yk, creative license. Sadly, I don’t have much about my magic hands man so here’s what his writing would look like if he actually wrote a paragraph:

8.- Man, I don’t understand this boy -  Wild

Cursive? ain’t nobody have the time for that. He woke up and had to save the world in his underwear while not knowing how to read nor write.  He learnt during his journey and was taught by multiple people from different regions, that explains his inconsistent spelling of things and names for them. So Wild knows language variations for many items and uses them interchangeably (even if they aren’t exactly the same). Another headcanon related to writing/language skills that I’ve been thinking about is that if the shrine was able to cause amnesia, I’m sure there were other areas in the brain affected which leads us to language disorders such as agraphia and aphasia. But that’s a story for another day ksksksk

9.- The best of sons - Wind

I don’t have much for him and that makes me sad. Look, he’s a kid, doing kid things like stabbing dudes on the head. This boy was taught cursive by his grandma, but could never do it and no one needs it anyway. His handwriting is good enough for his pirate life, Tetra is the one to handle Official stuff, he just gotta sign. Spelling and grammar mistakes abound. He is still relatively young and can correct his handwriting if he desires. But same as Wild, with how many times he’s been thrown out and hit his head, I’m starting to consider some language disorder for him as well.

Ok Idk before starting the reading I heard Better Now by Post Malone in my head, specifically the line 'I was so broken over you, life goes on what can you do'. Omg that line makes total sense. Your fs has been through a lot. They've been through so many transformations and cycles and they have learnt so much from all that. Gawd I just feel like giving them a big hug, really. Maybe they started working early, family may have faced issues financially. They were heartbroken as well, an ex may have used them for their kindness. It's so heavy, the energy. They have been through $hit. These things have made them so damn mature like they are super intelligent and understanding. Very very hardworking and they have worked their @ss off to reach where they are today. They may have their guards up like very much when you guys meet for the very first time. It makes sense tho cause they're love, feelings, ideas and thoughts everything was shattered in the past. Hence they are defensive and cautious and haven't dated since that heartbreak as well. They are very decisive and they have good judgement. May look stoic. They could be your boss. They are very clear with what they want and the plans they make. Either very pale skin or very dark. Idk I'm seeing blonde and brown/black hair as well. Maybe they are mixed race. Ohh Adonis(Drake's child) came into my mind. So like he has pale skin and blonde hair but his natural hair texture is afro(cause his mom is white and Drake is mix) so maybe something like that your fs may have or like dark skin and blue/green eyes. Really beautiful feature tho. Shoulder length hair possibly. They may like boots. Youthful face, they may get lotta compliments on their looks. Broad shoulders, really tall. NBA!??? D9 Babies hahaha omg. Right now they are working very hard on their finances now, like they are all work work work. They want to be stable, they want to enjoy life. They may like anime. Others/their close ones see them as someone who is focused, hardworking, determined, ambitious, family oriented, potential to succeed, honest, detached, introvert, independent, not expressive, protective, mature and confident. Right now they are in a much much better place, their career is going great, may soon recieve the fruits of their labour. They are near to reaching their goals and dreams. They are really happy. They'll not be very mushy but they see how you may love those stuff and would try to give you back those feelings and affection as well. They may act like they don't like it but they do, they feel so loved and cared for by you, they feel important and like they feel as if they don't need anything else other than your warmth and love.

“Where are you--”

I’m shut up with the sound of Nikki slamming the door before I can finish asking him where he’s going, and I let out a heavy breath.

"--Going." I finish my question with a heavy sigh.

We’ve only been off the road for a couple days and tomorrow is our last day home, so we decided it’d just be easier for us to stay at the house instead of one of us sleeping elsewhere, but he’s been staying somewhere else every night we’ve been home...I don’t want to know who he’s been staying with or what they’ve been doing, so I haven’t bothered to ask.

I glance at the clock, seeing it’s 5:47pm, and go ahead and assume that since he’s been leaving the house around this time every day and hasn’t been coming back until the next morning, that he’s not coming home again until tomorrow.

Which means I’m by myself, being that Karen is on a small vacation ever since we’ve been home and she hasn’t been having to watch our house.

“Great.” I sarcastically mumble to myself, deciding to start on dinner, Whisky staying under my feet. "If Daddy isn't careful, I'm going to choke him with his own hair." I say to him and he looks up at me with a wagging tail and big smile. "Glad we can agree."

I get one pan out of the cabinet before I’m putting it on the counter, and sighing out.

“You know what? I don’t want to cook.” I state, putting the pan back, shutting the cabinet door, and stepping to the phone, dialing a number.

It rings a couple times before the line is picked up, and I smile at the voice on the other end.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Stevie, it’s Viv.” I tell him.

“Hey, babe, what's going on?" He asks me.

"I'm looking for Duff, do you know where he is?" 

"He's in the shower." He replies. "You want me to tell him you're on the line?"

"No, it's okay, just tell him to gimme a call ba--"

"--Duff, it's Viv!" I hear Steven scream and I cringe, pulling the phone away from my ear a little. 

I hear Duff's muffled reply, opening my mouth to tell Steven that I'll call back later, but I'm being cut off again. 

"I said, 'Viv's on the line'!" Steven yells again, hearing Duff respond. "He's coming." Steven assures me.

"Stevie, you could've waited until he was out of the shower." I comment. 

"Trust me, Viv, he would want me to interrupt him if it's for you." He states. "Ok, he's here, I love you, bye."

"Love you, bye." I reply. 

"Hey." Duff takes over.

"Hey, I'm sorry I interrupted your bathing, I tried telling Stevie you could just call me back later." 

"No, no, Viv, you're fine." He assures me. 

"Oh."

"What's up?" He asks and I look around my kitchen.

"Um...I was just wondering if you're free tonight?"

The line is quiet for a second and I raise my brows, rubbing my lips together, waiting for him to say something. 

"...Hello?" 

"Oh, yeah, s-sorry, you wanna do something or something or--I mean, like you wanna hangout? B-Because I'm free, ya know. Yeah." He stutters out awkwardly and I hold back a laugh. 

"Smooth." I hear Steven comment in the background. 

"Dude, shh!" Duff replies in a whisper. "Um, anyway, yeah, I'm not busy."

"Okay, I was gonna order take out if that's okay with you?"

"Whatever you want is fine with me." He offers. 

"Okay." I reply. 

There's a long pause and the both of us finally try to talk at the same time:

"Alright, well--"

"Cool, so--"

We stop for a second, the two of us chuckling a little. 

"Sorry, you go." He tells me. 

"I was gonna say, 'I'll see you in a few minutes'." I say. 

"Good deal, I'll see you then." He agrees. 

"Okay."

"Okay."

Again, another awkward silence. 

"...Okay."

"Okay."

The phone is suddenly hanging up, the dial tone in my ear, and I quirk a brow, before putting the phone back on the hook. 

I wasn't sure why things were so freaking awkward with us, nothing had changed, nothing had happened. I hadn't seen him since the Playboy shoot a month and a half prior, so I didn't understand what exactly shifted.

I hear the doorbell ring and Whisky starts barking while I grab the Chinese takeout boxes and some silverware. 

"Whisky, who is it?" I ask him sweetly as I step to the door, opening it to see all six feet, four inches of Duff. 

He's in a CBGB t-shirt and black jeans, a bag of gummy worms and a six pack of Pepsi in hand. 

"Hi." He says, and I step aside and let him in as Whisky immediately starts sniffing at him, starting at his boot, up his leg, and I politely keep him from getting too personal as soon as his nose goes for his crotch. 

"Ohhhkay, Whisky, that's enough." I tell him, nudging him away from Duff as he hands me the Pepsi and candy, crouching down to pet him. 

"No, it's fine. He's just trying to know me." Duff chuckles, he and Whisky bonding the second his fingers move over the back of Whisky's ears, making him melt like butter in Duff's hands.

After a few minutes of me putting our food on plates and him going to wash his hands, we're finally eating in the living room floor, at the coffee table, with the dog eating his food several feet away, despite coming over to try to eat some of ours every now and then. 

"So, like, apparently Nikki's trying to get you guys a spot on the tour." I inform him and he raises his brows. 

"Really?"

"Yeah. Slash and Stevie have been conspiring and shared it with Nikki...and he loves you guys so he and Tommy and Vince and Mick are down for it. He's been pestering Doc and Doc said he'd contact your manager a little later." I add.

"Well, we've got some shows coming up to promote the album but, I mean, I don't see the harm in going on tour with them." He shrugs. "It'd be good exposure." 

"It would."

"I don't know." He shakes his head a little, swallowing another bite of Lo mein, and I furrow my brows. "I just expected more people to buy 'Appetite'. And they would, if we had our video on MTV, and radio actually played us." He vents. "We're just chomping at the bit, ready to run our asses off the second the race starts, and nobody's firing the fucking starting gun."

The radio was afraid to play them, MTV refused to put their video for "Welcome to the Jungle" on air because John Malone (who owned half of the cable-houses that broadcasted MTV) only saw them as a heroin band, and promoting them wouldn't sit right with his strong Republican, conservative,"christian" morale...so he threatened to drop MTV if they played Guns N' Roses.

"I can talk to Doc and see if he can pull any strings. I mean if they'll play Mötley Crüe--"

"--Tom is vouching for us to anyone that will listen." He explains. "Right now it's not something to worry about, but if it's still like this six months from now, we need to panic a little."

"There's no way in hell it's gonna take six months for you guys to pick up traction." I state in disbelief.

"Viv--"

"--If six months from now you guys still aren't on MTV, I'll harass whoever I need to, to make it happen. I'll go to their houses." I promise and he shakes his head, chuckling. 

I was serious, and I ended up delivering on that.

"None of them are worth the trouble. Just a bunch of money-hungry hypocrites hiding behind religion to validate their assbackwards logic." He shrugs. 

"You sound like my dad." I point out and he smiles, taking another bite of food as I sip from my bottle of Pepsi. 

He stares at me for a moment before I'm raising my brows, silently asking him what's up. 

"So, like, how is your dad so cool and your mom is so…" he trails off and I take a breath, shrugging a little. 

"That's how she was raised. I mean, I know that's not an excuse but her mom and dad were both that way on her and my aunt--my aunt obviously cracked under the pressure and just gave up trying to please them back when she was a teenager. My grandparents have been dead for years now but my mom still acts like she's trying to make them happy." I mumble. "Which, according to my dad, she wasn't always like that. She did a small 'wild' thing one time, and got knocked up with me." 

"What?!" He gawks. 

"They got married seven months early to avoid her parents knowing what they had done." I add.

"Dude, imagine losing your virginity and getting pregnant from it." He tries to hold back a laugh. 

"My mom always told me I was planned, and once I was old enough to do the math between my birthday and their anniversary, I put the pieces together and my dad finally told me what happened when I turned sixteen." 

He nods, and licks his lips, awkwardly clearing his throat before saying:

"So...what about your first time?" 

I scoff, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. 

"Um, seventeen, Nikki, their roach-motel apartment." 

"You've only dated one guy?" 

"Yeah." I nod. 

"Wow…" he says it like it's hard to believe. 

"What's that mean?"

"I just expected you to have dated a couple more guys before settling on Nikki." He replies. 

"I didn't settle for Nikki." I tell him, matter of fact. "Being with him was a good idea at the time." I add. 

"Nah, I get it. That's how it was with my first big-boy girlfriend." 

"Yeah?" 

"Yeah."

"What happened to her?"

He takes a second, taking in a heavy breath, but trying to keep things light with his smile. 

"We were, like, kids basically. Like sixteen/seventeen, and I had to go out of town to visit some family, and when I got back she told me she had hooked up with this dude at a party while I was away. And we broke up, and then got back together, and then things were good for another year until the big heroin epidemic hit Seattle." He informs me. "It got its hooks in her and wouldn't let go. I finally just had to break things off because I couldn't watch her kill herself in an overdose like some of my friends had already done, and I left for L.A. shortly after. I know that's selfish but ignorance is bliss. I don't think I'd be able to live with myself if I were to ever find out she'd died." There's a small gloss to his eyes, like he's holding back a few tears. 

"That's not selfish." I tell him, shaking my head. "Some people aren't meant to be in our lives forever. Some are just there to grow you in some way and if it's not God's will for them to stay around you he gives you the strength to just walk away." I suggest. 

"Is that what's happening with you and Nikki?" He asks next, looking at me. "He's giving you the strength to walk away?" 

"God's ignoring me currently so I wouldn't know." I admit. "He wants me to stay with Nikki, but Nikki won't even say whether or not he truly wants a divorce. He just avoids the conversation. I think he feels like if he ignores it, the issue will resolve itself."

"Well...what do you think? I mean, has anyone asked how you feel about this? Like having to make people think you guys are together and stuff." 

"It doesn't really matter how I--or even Nikki--feels."

"Okay, Vivian, I didn't ask about Nikki, alright?" He politely tells me and I sigh. 

"I'm miserable." I finally get it out. "We pose for pictures in magazines, still, a-and pile on the PDA anytime press is around and it freaking sucks. Because we're arguing more and more lately so it's like as soon as we get inside we're going back to being mean to each other. And I'm over him, like I've accepted the fact that we're more than likely divorcing, I've gotten all of it out of my system, but the waiting and dragging it out for another year is just getting to me." A couple tears topple over my lashes. 

"If you want out then get out, Viv." He says to me. 

"It's not that simple, Duff."

"Yes, it is. You're just waiting for Nikki to tell you he wants to work things out, and using Doc telling you guys to hold off on any decisions until the tour is over, as an excuse." He states, as noninvasive as possible and I hate to hear the truth. "If you wanna stay, stay, if you want to leave him, leave him. You shouldn't have to explain yourself either way. It's your own business but at least be honest with yourself and call it what it is."

"I will when you do." I argue and he looks at me with raised brows. 

"Excuse me?"

"Oh, please, Duff, you act like this when you're sober but then when you're drunk you're telling me you love me." I state. "You're not being honest with yourself, either."

His brows furrow.

"Viv, what the fuck am I suppose to do? Huh? You're married. You've been married."

"Barely." 

"What do you want me to do about it?" He defensively chuckles out. 

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" 

"Nikki's done a lot for me and the band, and I don't want to disrespect you or him so I've kept to myself, alright? So just leave it at that and let's finish eating because I got rehearsal tomorrow." He tries to change the subject. 

"He had an entire mistress, Duff, telling me how you really felt about me wouldn't have--"

"--You wanna know how I really feel about you? Fine. I don't understand how someone so beautiful and insanely kind could fucking exist, but you do. My hands get all weird and sweaty and gross when you're around. I can barely walk at times because my legs feel like jello anytime I'm talking to you. It pisses me off that you're so talented and a fucking genius but all you see is how you aren't good enough because you aren't the 'type' that guys like Nikki usually desire--but I'm telling you now, people stare at you anywhere we go like you're healing lepers or something and it's definitely not because they think you're ugly. I know what my boundaries are and would never purposely do something that would make you uncomfortable. I'm sorry I said that to you when I was shitfaced. I'd much rather have told you when I was sober, but there's never been a point of me telling you because--"

"--Tell me." I cut him short. "You're sober." I point out, shifting to my knees. "So tell me." 

He licks his lips, his breathing picking up slightly as he looks me dead in the eyes. 

"I love you." He tells me. "I love you, Vivian." He repeats it, more confidently. "I have since the day we met."

I nod a little, my eyes getting teary and I'm kissing him before I can talk myself out of it.

02. Next up we have Sunflower by Post Malone & Swae Lee which, to be honest, gives me such heavy Vanya vibes I can’t even. More so due to the song itself than the lyrics, but they’re still pretty accurate. That smooth af sound, tho.

03. Next we have Way Up by Jaden Smith, which, despite being a boppin’ song, really didn’t remind me of anyone in particular until I really sat down and read the lyrics. So I’m going to attribute this one (tentatively) to all of the seven, though I’m leaning a little heavier towards Luther than the rest.

05. The lyrics don’t necessarily fit in some places, but the general tone and feel of Invincible by Amine still makes it a Luther song in my book.

06. Start a Riot by DUCKWRTH & Shaboozey is Diego’s official anthem don’t @ me. The dude probably blasts this when he’s taking down bad guys. A bit of shade, a bit of bass, I can fully see Diego rocking to this song.

07. Hide by Juice WRLD ft. Seezyn is, for me, all about Allison and how having and losing Claire changed her as a person. This is a more sorrowful song, but I still think it fits her. Slow, more laid back, but still heartfelt.

Despite having a nice little lo-fi beat and a lighter sound going on, in the context of his experiences I really do think that Memories by Thutmose personifies Ben (both the Umbrella and Sparrow versions) and, to an extension, Klaus (seeing as dead!Ben can only interact with the world through him).

Okay, fair enough, this one can go into the “All” category. But, y’all, when I tell you I felt my soul ascend when I read this line:

10. It’s time for the angst track, everybody. And let me tell you that Let Go by Beau Young Prince has the reverb, the tone, and the soul crushing lyrics for the job. It’s universal angst, too, because this could honestly apply to any of the seven.

11. Scared of the Dark by Lil Wayne & Ty Dolla $ign ft XXXTENACION is one of those tracks that immediately hooks you, pulls you in, and then sucker punches you in the feelings. With that in mind, in both a literal and figurative sense, this song is all about Klaus.

And finally, Home by Vince Staples has a soulful kind of sound to it that, combined with the lyrics, reminds me that Five will quite literally do anything, endure anything, kill anything, to get back to and protect his family. It also has a kind of epic choral-esque start and finish to it that felt really nice to listen to.

Interview with the Horans!

This is a compilation of questions I’ve received for Niall and Delilah to answer and I did it as if they were sitting down doing an interview, I hope you enjoy and that it helps give you an insight into the lives of the Horans! If you have no clue what I’m talking about Niall and Delilah are from my Insta Story you can find here! 

Q: How did you two meet?

Niall: At an after party of a sports event I believe? She’s gonna kill me if I got it wrong. 

Delilah: Really? An after party? You’re so annoying. We met at a sports event that I didn’t want to go too but my friend Phoebe dragged me to it and I ran into Niall at the bar it was all super casual.

Niall: Ya sure, if ya call her almost knockin me over ta order a bloody drink casual. 

Q: How did you ask Delilah to be your girlfriend? 

Niall: Oh god uh I jus sat her down and asked her if she wanted to be exclusive an she laughed at me cos she was like “who the hell uses the term exclusive? you’re such an old man” dat was probably after we had been on like four or so dates. I jus enjoyed bein round her. 

Delilah: It was super cute, he gets all blushy and adorable. He was nervous and I have no clue as to why, he had already asked to share my calendar with him to see what dates work for us and everything. Like that’s a pretty big deal. 

Q: What’s a normal day in the life like for the Horans?

Niall: nine times outta ten shes up before me, she was like dat even before the girls. She can stay awake till six in da bloody mornin and be up at eight ready to rock n roll. S’a bit disturbin, but our days when M’not on tour are very like every other married couples... jus wit a set of twins.

Delilah: We go on a walk in the mornings, we’ve been doing that ever since I was pregnant, and while on the walk is when we lay out the game plan for the day. So if he has any meetings or anything he’ll tell me so I can plan my day around it. So like yesterday he had a photo shoot for something-

Niall: Cos m’a model now. Just so ya know.

Delilah: Right...so anyway he had his model thing so the girls and I brought him lunch and he was home at a decent time to help with their bedtime routine.

Niall: I feel like we are pretty normal ta be honest like we don’t do a lot of extravagant shit.

Delilah: Not anymore no.

Niall: We were never like jet settin on tons of trips and stuff we’ve always kinda just went from New York to California. We like ta lay low.

Delilah: As low as a former member of one of the largest boy bands in the world can lay....he forgets who he is sometimes. But yes we do kinda just stick to the two places and don’t go out much unless it’s to dinner because I like to eat out a lot. It’s a problem that I’m working on. Oh and Niall likes to go to parties without me but that’s not typically part of a normal day in the life of us.

Niall: M’not even gonna go der wit you.

Q: Speaking of parties, Delilah it’s pretty obvious you don’t like being left at home while Niall goes and has fun.

Delilah: Yeah he’s an asshole. He met Post Malone while I was at home trying to get comfy with my damn pregnancy pillow! And him and Shawn just are super annoying when they get drunk together. But I don’t mind him having his bro time and going out without me, I just like being dramatic.

Niall: Yeah m’da worst at like tryin ta plan parties and invitin her cos half the time they are so last minute and I know she does not do last minute.

Delilah: No I need at least four hours to prepare myself to be around people and to like get dressed and all that not so fun stuff. 

Q: Who said I love you first?

Niall: She did. During an argument matter of fact, it was pretty memorable. 

Delilah: I said it during a moment of passion Niall James not a full blown argument. it was like a “God why do I have to love you so much?” Don’t make it sound so dramatic. 

Niall: M’pretty sure yelling it in the middle of a “passionate argument” is the same as jus sayin it in an argument babe but okay. 

Delilah: It’s totally different, you’re just a dumb boy you wouldn't understand.

Q: Rumor has it you two broke up briefly while Niall was on tour just after releasing Flicker. Is that true? 

Delilah: Yes it’s true. Couples take breaks. Look at Ross and Rachel, it worked out fine for them. 

Niall: Really ya gonna bring Ross and Rachel into dis? They suffered fo a few years before actually bein happy...

Delilah: I mean are you upset that I forgave you too soon? 

Q: Why did you two break up?

Delilah: Yeah Niall why did we break up? 

Niall: Yer such an arse. Uhhh can we skip dis one? We’re allowed like one skip right? 

Delilah: Nope. The people want to know and you always say you’re a man of the people. 

Niall: I cheated. Next question please. 

Q: What songs on Flicker are about Delilah?

Niall: None of em. 

Delilah: Did you hear that world? I was not the muse for that sad ass album so stop blaming me for breaking this man’s heart. 

Niall: Slow hands is bout her I guess, it was written after a date wit her to a bar so yeah, slow hands s’bout her. 

Delilah: I'll allow that one. 

Niall: Oh and So Long. But that’s not on the album so...but most of the songs I didn’t necessarily write wit anyone in mind more of an emotion I wanted ta get across. 

Q: When the two of you were dating who was the best at keeping in touch with the other?

Niall: She was at first then I’d say it was pretty even once we got a bit mo serious. We always had a good long chat at the end of each day tho no matter if we only exchanged two texts throughout the day.

Delilah: In the beginning I was just nosey and wanted to know what he was doing all the time. Then I realized he legit is either in the studio or he’s playing golf or at some sort of event. We still do the phone call each night when he’s away. 

Q: What’s something you love about each other? 

Niall: Easy! Her love of life, she is someone that ya jus wanna be around cos she will make ya smile and makes ya ten times happier jus being in the same room as her. 

Delilah: Awe you’re so sweet! I honestly love the fact Niall will never tell you anything just because he knows you want to hear it, he doesn’t sugar coat things and I know that sounds odd to like love that about someone but it’s just refreshing. I love knowing that if I ask him for his opinion it's going to be 100% honest and how he truly feels and sometimes it makes me want to smack him but mostly I just appreciate what he has to say. 

Niall: Oh an I love her laugh. 

Delilah: Niall also has a very nice ass so you can put that down as something I love as well. 

Niall: Delilah Grace...m’not arguing though.

Q: So Niall this is mainly for you, how has it been dealing with how often Delilah posts about your private life since normally you like to keep that to yourself.

Delilah: Ohhhh good question!

Niall: I don’t mind it really, s’not like she posts pics of me doin anythin scandalous. I think she shows another side ta me dat the fans enjoy, it shows them dat I’m like I always say, a normal guy wit jus an abnormal job. Also her captions are jus...somethin else she has such a way wit words.

Delilah: He laughs so hard at the photos I post of him looking annoyed. He loves those the best.

Niall: I’d also say she’s da reason my posts have gotten a bit more personal. She’s helped me realize dat my Instagram an twitter doesn’t have ta jus be all Niall Horan the musician. The fans and everyone wanna jus get ta know me.

Delilah: You’re welcome world.

Q: So you two have been married for almost a year now right? What’s been the best part of being married?

Delilah: I get lots of free stuff, it’s pretty freakin great if I’m being honest. 

Niall: Ignore her, yes we’ve been married almost a year now, hard ta believe s’only been a year. 

Delilah: I mean having the girls seemed to take up a big part of the year so I’d honestly say the best part of being married so far is just knowing he’s fully mine now and I get to be in his life forever. Sounds lame when I say it out loud.

Niall: I think the best part is jus knowin that she’s there. Like she always has my back on anythin an bein able to point to her an be like “oh dats my wife.” I enjoy that quite a lot if m’bein totally honest wit ya. 

Q: So the twins they are adorable by the way, what was your initial reaction when you found out you were having twins?

Niall: I absolutely almost shit myself it took me completely off guard.

Delilah: Same! But really I was kinda hoping I was having twins because lord was I getting huge kinda faster than I had anticipated.

Niall: It’s also in the long run good cos we only wanted two so like boom! One an done is what they say right?

Delilah: No one says that about kids you weirdo.

Niall: S’for sure a thing people say even bout kids. 

Q: Who takes care of the kids more?

Delilah: Me, just because Niall has a job while I stay home all day in my sweatpants eating.

Niall: Obviously it’s Delilah, she is an actual angel fo everythin she does for the girls and myself even. An jus fo the record she doesn’t wear sweatpants all day, she eventually puts like dem leggin type pants on.

Delilah: Thanks honey. 

Q: So Delilah what would you do if you came home to Niall asleep on the couch when he’s supposed to be watching the girls?

Delilah: It depends. If the girls are also asleep I’d probably cry at how cute they all look passed out.

Niall: Dey are way cuter dan me when they’re alseep.

Delilah: But if he’s asleep and they aren’t...oh hell will be raised in the Horan house. I’d probably smack him with a throw pillow and never let him live that moment down. Like even Shawn hasn’t fallen asleep while watching the girls yet and he’s only watched them after they are asleep so Niall and I can go have dinner alone. 

Q: So is Shawn The Godfather?

Niall: Did he tell you to ask dat?

Delilah: He’s one of them yes.

Niall: We have two godfathers and two godmothers.

Delilah: We are just extra like that, don’t even ask why. 

Q: Last question, how have you handled the fans response towards your relationship? The overall response seems to be everyone pretty much adore the two of you.

Niall: Oh it’s been great really, only a few people here an there have some shitty remark ta say but it’s always something stupid.

Delilah: I think after the first two years it just switched and it’s been for the most part pretty nice. I think at first the fans just didn’t know how serious this was going to be and everyone legit loves Niall so they wanted to make sure I was worthy of him. But I mean we’ve been together for so long now that they’ve fully accepted me.

Niall: Dey have realized she’s not goin anywhere. I mean she met me when I was still in One Direction like jus before the hiatus so she’s been through a lot wit me and the fans love er.

Delilah: Diall till death.

Niall: Oh yeah dats our Uh..what they call it? Ship name? Diall!

A month has gone by since getting the acceptance letter for U.A. When I called my dad it went the same as every other conversation goes with him on the phone

“...hello?” my dad starts off saying “is there something wrong...I’m really busy” every time I call he says the same thing “No there's nothing wrong dad… I just wanted to tell you I got into U.A” “Oh...okay good job sweety… now i’ve got to go, I’m about to head into a very important meeting” then he hangs up. It goes that way every time. At the most he calls around every month or so, the longest time I've gone without getting a call from him was 3 months. He still pays the bills for the apartment and sends money so I can get groceries and such...but that's it. Just me and Cheeto living alone in a small apartment complex.

And once again I find myself in front of U.A now in my new school uniform wearing my dark red hair down with one black barrette keeping my hair out of the right side of my face, and letting my hair drape over my left covering most of the scar.

‘You don't wanna ride the bus like this’

‘It looks like I have enough time to zone out to the music’ I thought to myself as I look at the time on my phone. I continue walking through the hallways finding my class focusing on the music and not where I’m going because I walk into the wrong class

‘I'm just a singer who already blew his shot’

“Whoa watch it there kid!” a tall woman called out “I think you're headed the wrong way” I snapped out of my daze and looked up to the woman who was dressed in a very inappropriate outfit. I looked at the sign on the door and noticed it said 1-D “Y-yes...sorry” I said and speed walked to the end of the hall where my classroom was class 1-A. As I come up to the door I hear yelling from the other side sounding like Iida ‘he must be telling someone to act less disrespectful’ I thought to myself smiling knowing it isn’t me he's yelling at

“Don’t put your feet on the desk!” yelled Iida at the blond who bumped into me as I was walking into the school during the entrance exams “Oh yea!” the blond yelled “Who gives a fuck!”

I giggle when I notice how Iida’s face goes into pure shock at the comment, and I walk over to the two to calm him down

“Hey Iida!” I said cheerfully “Just leave the guy be, if he gets in trouble he gets in trouble… because I don’t really think he cares what your saying” I laugh tilting my head to the side and notice a large yellow caterpillar laying on the ground at the front of the room.

I walk towards the yellow caterpillar, while not bringing any attention to myself looking at it more closely noticing that there's someone inside it. I quickly turn around and find my seat thinking its better to not disturb whatever is in there. In front of where I sit was the girl I saved during the exam, and another girl behind me with a black ponytail.

“Oh, hi!” the girl with the brown hair said “I’d like to thank you for saving me during the test! I’m Ochaco Uraraka” the girl behind me tapped my shoulder getting my attention before I could respond to Uraraka “I’m Momo Yaoyorozu” the teen said “I’m Scarlett Patterson” I said to the two girls. Uraraka looked up at me in bewilderment at the sound of my name “So you’re American!” she exclaimed ‘ugh is this going to happen everytime I introduce myself?’ I Thought to myself “Yep” I replied not wanting to go through the same thing I had to with Iida “That's so cool!” Uraraka said cheerfully “I’ve never met anyone from there before! Do you think you could help me with my english? I really suck at it, and don’t want to get bad marks in English” she says, sounding down when she mentions how bad she is at speaking English “sure! I’ve never really tried to help anyone with english before but i’ll do my b-” before I could finish what I was saying my phone dinged reminding me what I need to do

“Patterson!” Iida exclaimed “You should not have your phone's ringer on the bell is going to ring soon!” he says while chopping at the air vigorously 

“Sorry Iida” I say apologetically “It was just my alarm telling me I have to take something” I reach into my bag grabbing a small orange cylinder container with pills inside, grabbing one and quickly putting the bottle back. As I go to take a drink of my water a pink girl with horns popped up in front of me

“Hey!” she says “I’m Mina Ashido, you can just call me Mina” she says quickly, then points to the pill in my hand “What are you taking?” She asks 

“It’s just a really strong painkiller for my headaches” I say trying to stay calm as she get close to my face “My quirk gives my really bad headaches sometimes, so I’m supposed to take these once a day, even if they don’t last for very long” I partially lied not wanting the real reason reason for why I’m taking these pills 

Before Mina could say anything else the bell rang and the thing that was inside the caterpillar stood up. His eyes glowed red and his hair floating up. At that point the music stopped playing. I stood up, complete shock on my face. His eyes went back to black and his hair went down, and the music started playing again. Everyone is now staring at me since i’m the only one standing

“How...you-you made the music go away?” I mumbled quietly for only a few could hear “Do you mind me asking...what’s your quirk?” The man stood there for a moment before replying

“My name is Shota Aizawa and I am your home room teacher, answering...Patterson’s question does anyone know the answer? He asks the class. Midoriya shakily raises his hand before standing “Y-your quirk i-is erasure?” the boy says with a questioned tone, and Mr.Aizawa nods “S-so that would mean y-your the underground hero Eraserhead” the erasure hero back at him with a bored look on his face and nods again “Yes that is correct” Mr.Aizawa says “Now please put on your gym uniforms and meet me on the field in 5 minutes”

“Okay” Mr.Aizawa says “We are going to be doing a quirk assessment test, we will not be going to the opening ceremonies because if you are going to be heroes there is no time to part take in illogical things” he states in a monotone voice

“Patterson” my head snapped up at the mention of my name “Since you got first in the practical exam you can go first. Throw the softball while using your quirk as far as you can, just stay within the circle” I nodd and stand where I was instructed to, activating my quirk forcing the music playing inside my head to the inside of the ball making it heavier as I make the volume louder

'Til we were upside down I'll be the bad guy now’ I wind my arm back and whip it forward throwing the ball as fast as I can. A few seconds later and a beep came from Mr.Aizawa’s phone. He then turns it around showing the class ‘100 meters’ on the screen

“Okay. We are now going to start with 50 meter dash, followed by grip strength, and end with the softball throw” Mr.Aizawa states bankly “Whoever finishes with the least amount of points will be expelled” After that last comment the whole class erupts in mild panic for if they got last

“My quirk is called ‘Internal Melody’ . There is always music playing in my head that I can force anyone who I touch with five fingers to hear the song making it as loud or as quiet as I please. There's another part of my quirk I want to keep secret until the sports festival...so i’ll skip that.” I explain “The drawbacks are I get painful headaches, almost everyday from hou loud the music can be, if my quirk gets too intense I can black out for a few hours or maybe more… It's only happened a few times so I don’t really know, my emotions easily change depending on the song playing which gave me a diagnosis of bipolar with mixed features...which is terrible, and a few other things” I finish slightly panting at the large amount of information I just gave out. The others just stare at me in bewilderment “wow...I-I can’t imagine going through something like that” Uraraka says “If you ever need someone to talk to you can always come to me, especially if you don’t have any of your american friends with you and if you’d rather not talk to your parents about i-” “Don’t worry about it Uraraka” I interrupt “I’m used to this.
