Hockey/figure skater au where Johnny's a figure skater and Daniel is a hockey player.

They start out as rivals because Johnny thinks the hockey team uses the ice too long and makes a snippy comment to Daniel about it, which in turn starts a rivalry about it.

They continue to make snippy comments back and forth to each other while Johnny's coach and Daniel's team just watches.

(Ali, Chozen, and Susan are on Daniel's team and they're just not bothered by what Johnny says bc who cares, but Daniel is bothered by him.

Kreese actually thinks this may be a good development and it would be good if Johnny had some kind of outside force to motivate his routines.)

Johnny and Daniel end up meeting each other because they both sign up to help out with some hockey camp.

(Johnny thought it'd be cool to help out, because he wanted to do hockey before his mother told him he should do figure skating since it's less violent and Daniel wants to help kids learn hockey.)

Daniel and Johnny kind of bicker while they help and almost bite each others heads off, but they end up growing closer since they're trying to help plan drills out of practice.

They end up still bickering a little which in turn leads to wrestling where Johnny wins since he has more muscle mass. And yes, Daniel is bitter because he's the hockey player who fights, not Johnny.

They also end up learning they have a lot in common and Daniel learns Johnny likes hockey.

("The Kings are where it's fucking at, man."

"Fuck the Kings, dude. What do they got over the Devils?"

"A cool mascot."

"Shut up! A devil is a cool mascot!")

(It should be noted the 1984 Devils and Kings were both,,,woof.)

They'd somehow end up becoming friends and then lovers because Johnny falls for Daniel as soon as he sees him get into a fight. Daniel ends up winning his fight and is like yelling as he gets dragged away and Johnny is just like, "This better not awaken anything in me."

Daniel also falls for Johnny because he sees his routine and it's just gorgeous. Johnny is so elegant and graceful and beautiful when he's normally all edges and teeth, and Daniel loves it all.

Everyone in Cobra Kai is great—Amazing, even, to be honest. But,

You gotta admire how observant Robby tends to be. When he taught Cobra Kai Miyagi Do techniques? I’m pretty sure most other characters wouldn’t even know what to do. They wouldn’t be a leader like how Robby was.

And yeah yeah, “Miguel is the original King Cobra”, I understand that, but Robby was the better King Cobra. I do love Miguel, dont get me wrong, but Robby knew how to lead. With or without orders. He wasn’t ordered to teach Cobra Kai how to do Miyagi Do.

He just wanted to win. He showed that there is no specific way to win as long as he did win.

And he does deserve a win. Him and Tory. They’ve been through so much.

Again, I do love everyone on that show, even Sam (because not everything was her fault, and thru through the embarrassing times..) but they got their wins.

Hawk, Miguel, Sam. They got their wins. Robby was robbed TWICE and Tory never got a win. (Silver cheating doesn’t count.)

Robby deserves his pain to be recognized because,

“I just fought my soon to be step-brother (my dad didn’t tell me until later (s5)) and my dad and his new girlfriend are having a baby and I am totally fine even after I’ve gone through so much trauma and never got a real happy ending bc my gf and kid that I took under my wing is still in Cobra Kai.”

And that might seem like I’m over looking Robby’s trauma, but it’s right there.

I think everyone needs their happy ending, but I think Robby needs his pain to be more looked into.

Anyways Robby is really Observant. (SORRY I GOT OFF TRACK IDEK WHAT I WAS SAYING..)

The fucking girlhood of Tory and Sam's arc like...it's so <3 to me.

Like Sam and Tory understand each other, because there is nothing that Tory understands more than the desperate need to be understood and Sam understands Tory because there's nothing she understands more than hiding something from people you care about until it builds to be too much.

Sam knows what it's like to not be perfect while still trying to be and Tory understands what it's like to not really understand yourself at all.

It's not just that Sam and Tory are parallel experiences but rather that Tory reached out to Sam to tell her she'd won. It didn't feel right to just not tell her and admit the truth.

They're starting to look out for each other and understand one another.

Like I feel like what Cobra Kai does really well is encapsulating what it's like to be a complicated teenage girl with a complicated family background and makes their characters realistic. Not perfectly, but it still captures it.
