MIDGE, born Marjorie, is a librarian at Miskatonic who also now owns her family's antique store. She's 34 as of 1926 and her main goal in life is to discover why her parents were murdered in that very antique store fourteen years prior. She was a fencer in her youth, still keeping up with the practice; she's quite adept. She studied medieval history at Miskatonic and got lucky to be employed in the library there once she graduated. She employs people to run the antique store (Tales Retold, or just the Templeton Antique Store) while she works or is off researching. As of right now in our timeline, she's in Berlin, following a lead on her parents' deaths and getting into all sorts of culty trouble with Wilhelmina Engel (belonging to @newbordeaux). She speaks fluent German and owns a lot of scary artifacts, the vast majority of which she knows nothing about.

DOVE is a gun moll through and through. She's 25 as of 1926 and lives a life of fun and vice, and she loves it. She met her gangster boyfriend, Elias, three years ago and whether it's a lifetime sorta thing is yet to be seen...but as of now, she loves him and she loves his money (yes, separately), especially since she came from poor stock in Providence. She has an older sister called Birdie that she still talks to, and she sends letters to her parents on occasion, but for the most part she can be found in her fancy apartment or in the numerous speakeasies she frequents, with or without Elias. She got brought into the horrors when she was called to New York to help with a distant relative's legal case...turns out she's heir-bound to a centuries-old blood curse that requires her to wear a special ring at all times lest she release a dimensional being hellbent on killing her and all of her relatives. All of that, and she didn't even get the curse's benefits.

GERRY, born Geraldine, is a sweet waitress who moonlights as a singer, but she's no flapper. She's a farm girl, young at 21 in 1926, who comes from a huge family in Missouri, and she escaped as soon as she could. She came to Arkham because it was as far as she could afford. Her singing name is Billie Dove, and that coincidence is how she befriended Dove, who frequents the bar that Gerry sings at every couple weeks. She lives in a boarding house, scraping by with tips from the diner and what she earns singing. Safiya (@newbordeaux) is her best friend, and they met when she came into Gerry's diner; that is, the diner Gerry works at, which is luckily owned by a kind man called Charles. She found a weird bag of marbles there once, and she'll probably learn one day that they're cursed as she continues down the path of horror and terror that Safiya started by mistake, visiting a house that proved to be both haunted and cursed. She's seen a previous crush and neighbor flay himself alive then turn into a monstrous creature, so she's a little unlucky in love.

STEVIE, born Stephanie, is Gerry's great-granddaughter with Arthur (another of @newbordeaux). Her hobbies are photography (her mother is a professional), cooking, and her rifle. She's 26 in 2019, the year of The Horrors with her best friend, Selena (again, @newbordeaux). They know that their great-grandmothers (Gerry and Safiya) knew each other, but they don't know about The Prior Horrors quite yet. She and Selena met as middle schoolers and became fast friends. In high school they started an early-years YouTube channel, full of cringey stuff... After graduating college they decided to revisit their YouTube channel, becoming urban explorers. She's a park ranger at Muskana Reservoir (former site of Dunwich, among other towns, as well as many horrors) so she has access to a lot of creepy places. They're quite successful with their channel, and it's one of these expeditions that leads to their experiencing of the nightmare. Cults of the color out of space and sunken Dunwich buildings and old cursed texts are what await her and Selena. She shouldn't have done so much research on cryptids during her college years.

here r sm basic facts for u so far!

-first, evrything is the same as s1 except the party dont find el/ dont know will is in the UD, n ofc, will never escapes then

-will resists henry for a bit until he starts visiting him in the void in a more.. human form, n after tht will slowly succumbs

-n yk how in canon will feels wht He feels?? yeah imagine tht but ten times worse, where smtimes he'll literally forget his identity for a short amount of time

-will ends up bonding w a demo creature, but when henry has it killed in front him, he keeps his distance after tht so none of the others die. the demos still, tho, r surprisingly attached to him n v protective despite this, bc ovr time, they only recognize him as one of their own. (bf howevr they attempted to eat him.. several times. his hand is in rough shape due to tht, among other things tht happened during training

-will is even more malnourished than usual n is a lot smaller, but he's even more agile n fast here too. altho his vision is impaired, bc during an "ep" he tried to blind himself

-n speaking of tht, will eventually has to start eating any of the ppl who fall into the UD, n his first is, u guessed it, barb<3 (sorry barb)

-in here, will has creation powers, n henry teaches him how to use them, but even when will succumbs to his manipulation, most times the training is.. unwilling. due to tht henry keeps will on a short leash instead, more or less coaxes him into it in the void when the time comes, n frequently shows him his worst memories when he feels will's loyalty waning

-will is basically on the borderline of insanity due to the extreme amount of horrors he was exposed to, n by the time *someone* reaches him, he chooses the UD n henry ovr them

this should be its own post but i'd like to see a jade and marielle friendship, she would probably get REALLY serious with him if she hears him casually joke about how much he's into party drugs like he did around kenny, and tell him that he should count himself lucky to still be able to just get away from all that consequence-free. i also want a boyd and marielle dynamic, he's good at adopting troubled girls

i don't need a lot to be happy. jade sitting as autistically as possible on the kitchen counter means everything to me. he's just so easy to love, like a cat. also i really appreciate the way the show moved heaven and earth to make jade and tabby end up alone together for the night. the matthews house getting demolished + the new horror making it so that no one can be alone at night + jim leaving his family to go on his crazy adventure at the RV... im grateful i truly am

jade really took the supportive role to tabby's lead in the investigation and i love that for them. there's something so special to me about this dynamic, we're so used to genius guy detective + layman sidekick, seeing it flipped is so special to me. tabby is so awesome that the rich genius guy is actually her sidekick! love them sm

victor, tian chen, julie and ethan were so so sweet i'm literally heartbroken about what ethan said to victor!!! now that jade just learned to be normal istg this poor man can't catch a break???? he's a kid and he's scared i obviously don't blame him but i bet victor was so hurt T_T still im really happy to see him be more social. he's in good hands with tian chen. i swear the new "can't be alone at night" horror was engineered in a lab to socialise the loners against their will like feral kittens and i'm so down with it LMAO like yes you can bet i'll write jade fanfic about this

sara's got a... way of dealing with the whole thing that's for sure. she brought up like the worst possible conversation topic when looking at the map LMAO i just couldn't believe it was possible to screw up that bad. i kinda have a bit of paranoia specifically about going crazy and killing someone and then having to emotionally deal with that (just my brain being my brain dont ask) so her plot fascinates me because i've mulled over how i'd feel and how i'd deal with a situation like that so much. but i draw the sympathy line at hurting kenny and she's still hurting him so !!!!!!!! girl just shut up when he asks you to shut up it's not that hard arghh

really good insight about the place and peoples fears though. was she saying that the place gets stronger the more people it manages to kill? thats a really nice explanation for all the mix-and-match weird horror stuff going on together at the same time tbh, i like it a lot if it's like that. if khatri was afraid of god's punishment or something like that then i guess they're royally fucked (some of victor's drawings showed the place getting flooded...)

im gonna start with my faves THE TWINSS!! god i love them so bad okay so we have mindy whos a horror enthusiast/lesbian/stoner shes autistic AS HELL and was def born before chad cos he fr followers her around like a dog and takes notes when she talks (canon!) and chad is a himbo/jock whos just following the lead from the women in his life whether its his sister or the girl who used to babysit him and let him wear his favorite pokemon onesies and now is someone he would kill and die for or her lil sister whos just a lil loser hes smitten over fdkfjfk the twins are amazing their dynamic is classic lesbian/himbo solidarity (STOBIN TEAS) i just know growing up they would ask each other for girl advice and i KNOW mindy would do the opposite of what chad says cos look at how long it took him to make a move with tara jdfjkjkfjdf theyre an unkillable lesbian/bi duo and their mother is played by a lesbian icon theyre just!!!!!!!

and then theres the carpenters <3 first theres sam who’s suffered more than jesus himself. shes an older sister who just wants to take care of her sister and the kids she used to babysit cos all this terrible shit that happened to them is cos of her (in her mind!!) and then sometimes she hallucinates her dead serial killer dad who (to me) seems to represent the darkness in her while tara is the one who always seems to bring her out of that. their relationship was very strained after sam split and left tara with just their mom (who sounds like a fucking bitch!) so since coming back into each others lives theyve had to find a way to balance sam's overcompensating for being gone and trying to be glued to tara and tara adamantly trying to pretend nothing ever happened. but by the end of scre6m they seem to be on the same page and want to move forward together <3 tara is a lil sad wet cat who always just needs a fucking break!!! she has no interest in being part of some murder legacy shes just fed up and would like to have a lil fun take a load off!!! but ofc she cant so instead she has to start stabbing people like her big sis

idk if u saw the reblog w we must be killers: tales from district 2 but i am kind of obsessed w the behind the scenes systemic cyclical stuff that’s implied w the books but not really gone into in canon. traumatized teenagers growing into traumatized adults trying to keep traumatized teenagers alive (and getting retraumatized in the process), the kind of people who are stylists and games designers and such behind the scenes, that kind of thing… i’ve got no specific clue (and im also so unfamiliar w canon these days omg could not even tell you what district is what) really. it wouldn’t be In The Games, tho, if i did write it. (although landoscar mapped somewhat directly onto katniss and peeta Could be interesting.) sorry basically all the ideas below involve them being the (relative) good guys

we have v different styles and i LOVEEE post apocalyptic games & any games with the found family trope in them bc i crave that so tloa & the walking dead have my heart.

ive been playing the resident evil games bc i saw a bunch of fics for them last year and had never seen game fics before. horror isn’t my thing but it’s survival horror so it kinda reminds me of the post apocalyptic games

other than that, I have a lot of good memories playing gta & fortnite.

i used to hate valorant but my ex loved it and so I played it a lot with him/spent a lotttt of time watching him play. i have good memories of it bc of that

i generally prefer more fantasy games in fictional universes to ones set in the real world or like sci-fi. a found family trope is my fav. like the line blood is thicker than water, but the full saying is the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. meaning bonds formed by choice are stronger than those you are born with. i heard that full saying a decade ago and never forgot. i played the telltale walking dead game when it came out and i was obsessed. i cried over it.

i played resident evil as a kid on the ps2 or ps3 i think and idk how because i tried a few years ago and got scared and quit. not a big horror game fan. i’ve forced myself to play a lot like amnesia, outlast, prey scared me so bad i played like an hour and quit.

gna geek out a bit. there’s this game called silent hill p.t. it was a playable trailer for a since abandoned and unreleased silent hill game. it was released for free on ps4 but when the game was cancelled, it was taken down and unable to be redownloaded. i housesat for my moms boyfriend when i was 15 and he had the game, he never deleted it so it was still playable. i played it in the middle of the night in his gaming room in pure darkness and i have never played a scarier game. i turned every light in the house on and kept every door open. i slept with his two great danes on the bed LMAO the consoles that had it downloaded were being sold for thousands afterwards bc there was no other way to play it other than buy the console and account that it’s downloaded to.

played sm gta growing up and im so excited for the new one!! the trailer looks phenomenal

never played valorant but i’ve downloaded it to play and then forgot about it twice HAHA

okay im gonna be completely honest with yall and say that my every single try at keeping a journal failed spectacularly and i lost motivation after like a few months so my only journals rn are my fancy fake-leather-bound calendar to note tests and assessments into, a kinda roughed up notebook that i uses for noting down poems or scribbling or passing notes in class, and a kinda fancy bullet journal notebook that i used as a book of shadows for a while but since my fountain pen died i didnt touch it

okay heres the thing. for anyone else both my playlist library and my bookshelf would be considered pure chaos of a mad man b u t they actually have a highly focused system which means that i sort them based on their vibes, lovability and (in case of books) their age and whether or not theyre a part of a series so i would say my bookshelf is rather organised (when a quarter of it isnt occupying my desk that is) and my music is more organised than not but sometimes it gets out of control and i have to sort it entirely again

 Almost as if to emphasize his statement shrill screams coming from within the maze finally reached your ears, and shit did it send a chill up your spine, but you weren’t about to tell him that. Huffing out a laugh you turned to face the eccentric blonde, "We're gonna have to square up after this you know that right?"

"What? I'm not a square! I picked this place after all." He boasted gesturing to the haunting atmosphere hanging over the two of you, before you could correct him on the term a particularly loud shriek had the both of you jumping in place, the sudden movement caused your hand to ever so slightly brush against his, unknown to you, but the harmless action had his heart racing faster than the zombie that chased the two of you from the ticket booth to where you now stood.

“If something grabs me i’m going to hit you.”

He laughed holding a hand to his chest in mock hurt, “Why are you gonna hit me?! I’ll only grab you if you ask- wAIT STOP LEAVING.” 

“Well i’m not gonna hit the worker, they’re just doing their job.”

“You know I’m surprised.”

“What that I actually dragged my ass outta bed to be here? Me too.”

“No, well yes and no heh.” You turned to face him, overly aware of your place in line and how it slowly but surely grew closer to the dark entrance.

Was the only word the doorman said as he ushered the two of you forward, cutting off your defense before it could begin, you’ve been in burning buildings, the bad end of a gun fight and can proudly say you’ve talked back to your mama and lived to tell the tale, statistically, you a bad bitch, things can’t shake you.

The air seemed to grow colder as you wordlessly moved forward, your hands twitched at your sides, the longer nothing happened the tighter you tensed up.

“What good does that do anyone in horror movies ever? Exactly.” He laughed tugging at your sleeve.

“Come on! I’ve been asking you out since you transferred and you finally said yes, stay a while.” The urge to clown him for the line was strong, only outweighed by the urge to throw him a bone, to his credit, he had been asking you out since your first day in class, you gave him an elaborate excuse not to go every single time, it became sort of a game, no matter how ridiculous the lies got, he never argued, never got mean like a lot of people do when they get rejected, instead he’d laugh along and swear one day he’d get you to say yes, and somewhere, along the way, among the jokes and terrible, garbage pick up lines, you began to notice a few things about Denki Kaminari.

The first was that he had two sides, the guy who tries to be cool, the school flirt, this is the guy he usually was, but there was also this version of him that switches his Netflix to English when you come over, just to make it easier for you to enjoy, the kinda guy that sends you memes when you’ve had a bad day, the kinda guy who actually remembered how homesick you got talking about Halloween back home so he tried to surprise you with what he no doubt thought was a good idea.

Points for effort.

You sighed slowing your pace to fall beside him, once ore you continued forward in silence, you finally came to a choice in the path, left or right.

“So, where we going?” you asked subtly inching closer to him, the skin crawly feeling seemed to spread as you stared down the offending paths,knowing no matter where you went, some scurry shit was waiting for you.

“You tell me gorgeous.”

“Why the hell should I know?” he rolled his eyes, tugging you with a grin

“Fine! Lets go this way.” he began walking to the left, to his surprise you’d suddenly latched on his arm pulling him back.

“D-Don’t the screams sound louder down there?”

He tried to memorize the way you wrapped around his arm, not knowing if he’d get the chance again, he was so caught up he nearly forgot how to speak.

“Okay, no problemo, uh right it is-” a shout from that direction halted both your steps.

“Ah-Ha! You admit this is a date?”

“Yes! whatever get me thefuckupouttahere!” your words were rushed as you tugged him forward, sidestepping a zombie on the floor, your grip was iron but he couldn’t find the heart to care, not when you were wrapped around him in a way he’d only imagined before.

The rest of the event was a blur as you dodged any and everything you seen, in fact it wasn’t until he pointed it out did you realize you'd ran all the way back to the train station. 

While you leaned on your knees and desperately tried to get air back into your body, he was busy watching you with the sweetest little smile curling on his lips, because even in a moment like this you were still the prettiest girl he’d ever seen, and as that thought processed, he understood just how whipped he was.

“Sorry, I didn’t realize that be so scary.”

“Okay, you wanna makes jokes huh, fine next time we’re going on the biggest roller coaster in japan and I’m gonna watch your soul leave your body.”

- the very beginning shot thats like people spinning around wwx echoing them saying all these horrible things to him about how hes terrible as he is just reeling from the death of his sister. its a very powerful shot you really do get the feeling of him literally spinning out of control

-"wwx is injured!! quickly capture the tiger seal for me!!" yeah we all see what this is all REALLY about. they find any reason they can to attack and accuse wwx of things despite them mercilessly killing the wen civilians entirely because theyre power hungry. the fight scene once wwx drops it just proves that all their ohh were together as clans fighting against wwxs evil was just bullshit and all they really want is the power and theyre willing to kill anyone to get ut

ok so stranger things was odd (ha); i remember when it very first came out during that july i was like ‘im not rlly into scifi so idk if i’d care for it’ and my sister was like ‘no, trust me, me neither but i started this and it’s really good’ so i started it while hanging out at her house and was absolutely glued to the screen and then i left and went home and proceeded to stay up until 4 am to finish it and was absolutely SOBBING at my screen. i was enamored by the aesthetic (so many beautiful shots of the fall landscape and a simple 80s wintery vibe and the christmas lights UGH poetic cinema) and i just felt like all of the characters were so fleshed out and no matter how much conflict there was or idiotic things they did i literally loved every single one (except like. Ted and Papa yk??). and they were such good friends and so so funny??? like dustin and lucas had a hilarious dynamic and mike literally going to jump off a cliff for dustin???? being so concerned for will and letting that take precedence over any romances (not just talking about mileven i promise) hello????? el sacrificing so much of herself and her energy for these people because they’re the first to truly treat her with unconditional kindness in her life and they’re her family now??? but they all had SUCH heart and dedication to one another, and i loved that because the boys werent super concerned with like toxic masculinity (not to be #deep like a lot of it was that they were kids but they love each other so much and don’t care when they’re bullied by troy and his gang; they are there for each other and the first season shows how deep each of their friendships run and i love it); like these idiots were big NERDS and so sweet and kind to el, and each other honestly. you know they all had each other’s backs, even when they were mad or bickering. it went against my expectations for an 80s-based show and the government conspiracy aspect was intriguing (despite the fact that i usually get lost with that stuff; same with the sci-fi aspect) and i adored all of the kids and the story was just so tight and developed so wonderfully. i think season 1 was phenomenal and thats where it becomes hard for me as it goes on; im bummed that it’s more mainstream and thus i can only expect them to abide by mainstream guidlines (in terms of how they handle lgbt/minority characters, the balance between plot vs character, how far they will go in criticizing american and other governments), but i do think it deserves the hype. it is a beautiful, wonderful show and i am attached to the characters and the actual story more than i have been with anything else. it easily became my favorite show and season 2 LIVED UP TO THE HYPE it was so so good!!!! i rewatch the first two seasons all the time (i honestly dont know how many times ive seen each season at this point (other than three which i have seen thrice, i believe); i simply adore each and every character and the different teams that form by the ends of the season and i believe that they did very very well with all of this up until season 3 (ive talked about my diasppointment extensively, so im gonna focus on the positive); and we will see how s4 goes.

as for It, i have a lot less background tbh but i still really love it. i remember watching the og miniseries years ago and even though i have trouble watching shows with a big “ensemble” cast (mostly bc the characters arent diverse so i have trouble distinguishing between them), i liked the story and i remember being struck by bev’s storyline. i dont remember why i wanted to see it ch1 so bad (probably because i’d seen finn in stranger things the year before, ngl) but i attached to the characters so quickly. i saw it with my mom and she was like ‘that was awful it wasn’t even scary, it was just corny’ and i was like MAYBE SO but i fucking loved the characters so so much. i said that over and over and over and was heartbroken when i found out upon further research that two of my favorite characters (though ofc its hard to ‘rank’ them when they all have such a special place in my heart) die in the book. regardless, i just loved the kid actors sm and i think i found it especially easy to get invested in the story and the cast because they’re my age?? idk i just find it a lot more fun (which is probably why im still more partial to ch1). and then i went home and found all of the stupid interviews with them and the videos they posted on their own youtube channels and i thought they were so funny and it was awesome that they were genuinely such good friends. again, i dont always get invested in horror storylines but i thought the fact that its really....a love story between friends and ch2 especially has a lot of commentary on homophobia (its absolutely not perfect but yk) because of adrian mellon coming from charlie howard and how they all come from more troubled backgrounds but find love in each other is just the BEST i am such a sucker for found family and i have genuinely not found a better example of that than the losers club. i love them so fucking much. again, im not quite as informed when it comes to It as i am with stranger things, but i still really really love the story and characters and the depth that they all have (except mike/stan they were slept on) (and eddie was deprived of a good gay story and just Happy story but whatever) and yeah anyway im just ranting at this point. i think that stephen king had some... interesting ways of writing this story that make me wary of finally just picking up the book and reading more than the first few chapters (ie You Know, and just... idk i don’t trust how bev was written (but maybe thats harsh of me considering i Havent read it)), but hopefully eventually i will so i can be more involved than i am now. i cant quite articulate all that im trying to say, but i really really do love the story and the kids.
