the difference between the og hunger games movies was that it expanded on the story rather than sticking to only katniss’ pov like the books. thats why it was so good. (ik they erased madge and greasy sae and so many more characters that were crucial okay)

whereas ballads movie didnt expand the story but rather contracts it? there are tons of parts they took out from the books and they changed so much details in the story and games

fall guy brain rot time !!!!!!! i was wondering why i enjoyed this more than free guy despite me thinking objectively free guy's plot has less holes in it so i do consider the plot objectively better, but then i realized like fall guy just feels so much more sincere to me. every aspect of it is coated in this love for film and tv making and the medium as a whole

my sister spontaneously dropped that we were going to see a movie today literally a second before we left n on the way i found out it was dungeons n dragons and oh. oog,, my god,,, i have been putting off seeing this movie for so long bc i physically cannot contain myself ab dnd i get too excited but itwas so fucking good,,,, one of the best movies ive seen in years it was so silly n whimsy n dnd as hell and i think it wouldve been a great movie even if i wasnt autisically abnormal ab dnd as an interest,,,,,,,,, probably

yes when i can afford it! i love physical media and i really need to inventory my collection (i went to so many blockbuster sales when they were closing). but recently i bought criterion’s videodrome release and i’m so <333 about it because i love commentary tracks

from a standpoint separating the series from the books, the lockwood and co show is great. phenomenal. the acting is incredible. but from the standpoint of “this book series is my special interest and i’ve read every book multiple times and stabbed a boy in the hand with a pencil for spoiling it for me when the last book came out because i had to wait but he got it early” it’s just. not the adaptation i wanted. the actors are incredible and they bring so much life to the characters, but so much of the progression of the plot is largely inconsistent with what we see in books that it completely takes me out of it and i can’t enjoy it at all
