YOU MANIFESTED THE TWEEL CARDS CONGRATS
YOU'RE WELCOME EVERYBODY!
seriously though I was probably like. 60-80% thinking we'd get at least one tweel for chapter 10. but I was NOT expecting it so soon! both of 'em! in August! a shame we're not getting a Coral Sea event after all...but I guess I can be resigned to that and ALSO excited for getting shiny sparkly glowing(!!!!) mertwins along with Azul fighting his inner demons and going right for the eyes! AHHHH I CAN'T WAIT
(also heeeey I recognize that rowboat... 👀)

"You think I need to be coddled, hyped up, lied to?"
This could be taken a few ways obviously but one of them is that these are things Louis does for Armand because he needs them. And he probably throws this out because he knows Armand well enough to know he has a habit of assuming others think and want exactly the same things as him. If the interview wasn't a clear example Armand's too insecure - about himself and their relationship - to just sit with the harder truth, or take the truth from others. Vulnerability is very hard for him. Him revealing himself at all at the end of season 1 is based on an assumption of his that Louis is the same way. That Louis needs, or wants, exactly what he needs, or wants. That Daniel should be ashamed of mocking Louis pain, because he wouldn't want that for his own. (And to an extent that's not a terrible assumption, but to override Louis own feelings on it, when he wants to be confronted with the hard truth even if it is in a mocking way, it is kind of ... yeah.)
To explain this? He's adapted so much to what others want and need of him to be, he probably still thinks he's adapting to it, or needs to, so doesn't quite get these aren't his own wants and needs being expressed. He does a lot of projecting, and also, by caring for Louis he almost lives vicariously through him as sort of a measure for his own self worth. (This can be incredibly suffocating.) Armand does a lot of based on assumption thinking, and I want to say this stems from a disorganized attachment. With uncertain caregivers you have to be prepared for everything changing at a moments notice. So, will need to make assumptions and future predictions to protect yourself from that uncertainty.
But anyway like, if he's not coddled in those, seen perhaps more favorably than he deserves, and more over, allowed to think a lie for the both of them, its at which point it's him who acts out given how insecure in himself he is. If torturing Daniel isn't a clear enough example. And I think Louis tries to indulge this because he sort of understands Armand's just very broken and feeding his insecurities unnecessarily isn't going to help much. He knows Armand was always around for him, and stuck by whenever is was him acting out instead (Even if Armand was always at the root of why he ever was acting out). Max level of empathy Louis strikes again. But draw a line where a line needs to be drawn. Louis will just not compromise for Armand on everything, and will not accept a flat out lie being told if he's not also in on it.
They both know this relationship, by all means, was not supposed to ever work. And the fact they tried at all is almost a lie in itself. A tell yourself something till it's true, situation. But in this instance it can't ever become true, because one or both of you can't actually let it or get to that point honestly.

OUGHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHHG GUYS...
DCAS episode 6 spoilers!!!
(but you knew that)
i surprisingly don't have much to say about this episode despite being a musical nerd but.
never expected to... genuinely care about connor, but he's a good guy. i really wanted yul gone, but i know his arc isn't quite finished yet.
the yellow team's number was surprisingly underwhelming, i think my favorite was cyan team's, IT ATE SO HARDDD
i love that aiden is chill about the kiss like "anyone can tell it was just acting lol" and it cuts to jake like "I FUCKING KNEW IT."
also. wh. why did this episode have me actually caring about jam again. like. i want them back. wh. what is happening to me
FORGET JAM OH MY GOD GABELLIE. GABELLIE I FUCKING LOVE YOU THEY SLAYED SO HARD THEY LOOKED SO CUTE AND IN LOVE AND. AURURURUGHGGHGHGH GABELLIE <333
jake and ally ate. idrk guys. also marcus and nina. fuck yeah. fiore's outfit was underwhelming but going full glam on a child must be hard so i get it. ashley on the other hand had no reason to not eat
conalec vision is getting to me and of fucking course it also happens to be connor's elimination episode. ourhg
kinda sad that the episode had to be premiered early, but i ultimately don't regret staying up for it. now excuse me as i pass out (it's almost midnight)

omg getting tag teamed by trey and cater while drunk in these tags !! your brain is massive as always 🫶🫶
also cater getting serious orz i never knew i needed mean(er) cater in my life but i'll 100% be brainrotting about that for the forseeable future!!!
[also trey changing the flavor of his own shots in the original drunk reader post. he's so mean >:o!! (i love him still)]
Yes!!! Just two kind and helpful upperclassmen helping you when you’re drunk. <3 aren’t they so sweet?
Serious Cater is always so fun to think about. I love the idea of him dropping his outgoing, extroverted side and becoming more colder or less cheerful when you’re drunk because you’re too intoxicated to realize the shift, so you won’t ask any questions if his tone isn’t what you’re used to. It’s such a shock to hear him sound anything less than cheery, but I think it’s so good to think about. orz I love a serious Cater who doesn’t have to keep up any masks when you’re drunk.
Trey is so sneaky. (๑•̀ㅁ•́๑) !!!! His UM is very useful during drinking games because he can trick you into drinking more simply by changing the taste so it will go down easier. And you would not expect him to do such a thing because he has such a kind face and he is so patient and sweet. But it is exactly that type you have to watch out for!! (I also love him despite his mischievous behavior hehe.)

Grand Fest is super cool and fun and this is not criticism on the concerts but some people need to realize that it didn't take as much work as some say. The choreographies are ripped from the lives, the songs are remixes from them (with minor changes, the biggest change being that it's not live and there's no crowd), the battle music (including win and lose themes) are from the past games.
It's GREAT and I LOVE it but it genuinely didn't take that much work. They could have asked the animators to do something for the Splatcasts during Grand Fest and the announcement. Like out of every team, they were the ones with the least work, it's mostly importing premade assets.
...And I'm a bit sad that Anarchy Rainbow is just a bit changed from the live instead of being a new remix. I wish it kept being the song with the most changes but tbh the music team already had a lot on their plate
