Hello everyone <]:) just plopping in one last time to tell you that I'm retiring solarcas for the time being. The spn brainworms left me (they're probably already seeing other ppl smh), and I don't see myself making any new content for it anytime soon and I don't wanna keep a seperate space for it anymore. You can follow my main @masters-calling if you wanna stick around, but no pressure. If you were just here for the desitels I get it <3 I will still rb spn stuff over there occassionally when it crosses my way bc I'm not fully done w it (bc let's be real when is one ever hfkfhfk) and maybe one day I'll revive this blog who knows. If the brainworms ever return. Or if jackles drops the tapes whatever happens first

the thing i cant get over with calvinism is that like. yes God is sovereign yes God knew the ones who will be His since before the beginning of time, but that doesn't necessarily imply predestination. God knowing does not equal Him Specifically Choosing These People To Be Saved. the aspect i get the most hung up on is if you are saying that God has chosen specific people to be saved, then the opposite is also true. you can't say that God chose these specific people to go to heaven without necessarily implying that inversely, God ALSO chose (maybe indirectly, but still) specific people to not be saved. to go to hell. and for me that absolutely does not mesh with the loving God of the Scriptures.

i thought splatfest was next week (& only found out it was this week because i happened to check splatnet) so i missed half of it … really disappointing

#i probably would have known it was this week if i checked my dash but i haven't been on all week #because classes give me limited phone/computer time & lately I've been using that time to read comics or code #i'll probably be back soon but it's also nice to take a break for a few days. i literally only got on now because i wanted to complain abou #missing half of grand fest LOL. i wanted to see the performances while fighting against my joycon gyro #now i have to look them up instead… it's just not the same #i at least played for like an hour this evening tho. but tomorrow I'm out all day TT-TT they should have held it at a time convenient for m #such as next week. Oh well goodbye splatoon 3 #i guess it's better than missing it completely tho. that would have been extremely disappointing #it's also bittersweet that 3's already at end-of-life because it came out my first semester of college and now I'm graduating this semester #and then moving on to a different college next semester… life comes at you fast. and makes your game lifespan feel infinitely shorter #fiftytenpost #splatoon

hmm i don't think the fandom's dying, it's still jammed with so much talent & new content daily, but i get what you mean! fandoms are fleeting, people lose interest & move on, but new people also pop up at the same time.

as time passes there will be less & less fics art edits etc - i know it can be disheartening but i think as long as there's a community & people are interacting with each other it won't ever die out

so bizarre when you make a choice in a dream that leads to you waking up instantly

#was having some kind of stanley parable ass dream and my narrator was all like this is about to be the final part #so i was running because i was being chased by a bunch of students and teachers (long story) and saw two doors #and he gave me some kind of riddle about how the left door that said oct. 11 showed me what i could be (like an ideal future??)#and the right door said Oct. 3 and the riddle went something like 'you'll be who you were/ (something?) / your own future' and i though #well its weird that this rhyme mentions my future if he means it goes to the past #but i dashed through the oct 3 door and woke up instantly #i think i get it. i 'became who is was' which is me before the dream #the whole dream i had been playing dream characters and it wasn't until a few minutes before i had begun to remember myself #and i guess the part about the future is saying the real life present is both my past (before the dream) and my future (will continue after)#anyway so weird. i miss him and his voice that made me trust and not trust him at the same time #my only regret is i never got to see him like he said i would #maybe i failed the dream?#also i was running hand in hand with a kid (source of the students and teachers chasing us) i wonder what happened #our post comrade.#i think i would have stopped more to ponder the choice if i didn't have the little girl with me
