#i opened my inbox for once

there's a box on his bed. it is carefully wrapped in simple brown paper, folded with bent edges, and no tape. a note protrudes from the top, outermost fold. - beloved, i spoke to your father last week and he shared that you are running low of your favorite supplies. in this box you shall find pants and other such necessities. please let me know if i missed a color or shade you would like. i love you, my darling son. please send mommy one or two when you are finished. - mom @pitborn when he opens it, another note is inside. - and tell jason that if he picked up his phone and called his mother, she would be sending him gifts as well. it has been five days. thank you.

he reads the letter once. places it gently on the bedspread before fingernails slide under the thin lines of brown paper that hold the box altogether. he pushes, pressure enough to make a tear.

the box opens without protest and hands disappear into the soft fabrics instantly. a mix of rich browns, cool blacks, and dark greens greet him. the colors of his mother, his grandfather. to an empty room, the boy smiles.

damian picks up the letter once more, reads it, turns it over in his hands. he lifts the paper to his nose, breathes it in. his smile widens. of course it smells like her.

it smells of memories: memories of meaty little fingers clinging to her skirts as she pushed him behind her. he knows now that she was hiding him, protecting him. then, he had thought she was obscuring his view of the world, thought so certainly that she wished to blind him to truths. now that he is of an age to understand, to discuss matters of childhood in a frank manner, her motivations make sense.

his smile fades.

to live truly under the thumb of a parent must have had a daunting effect on her, damian reasons as he inspects the box again. his parents offer him choices, treat him as an equal. talia died to her own sister's hands, talia is the first to drag her father's body back into the healing waters of a lazarus pit. she is there to raise him, to clothe him and calm him of the madness that plagues the freshly revived.

the second note slips free of the first paper and his head whips down to track its movement. he snatches it from the air, scans the words for further mention of himself and finds disappointment tinges his vision. she separated the notes intentionally: he will pass it to his brother and mention nothing of the one given to him.

a final time, his focus turns to the box at the foot of his bed. in silence, in peace, he begins to change into fresh clothes.

hey this is so random hahah, but have you read "my heart's a leather jacket i'm waiting to give to someone sweet" on ao3? it's my favorite brittana fanfic. essentially though, it's just badass!brittany (worn out leather jacket, bloody knuckles, yk) and santana falling in love and there is NO fanart of it whatsoever. i was just thinking, if you ever run out of inspiration and need something new to draw, i would literally dieee if you made brittana fanart of that, i've been searching the entire web lmao. okay sorry for the rambling, just an idea!

Dialtown is a dating simulator, but all the characters have items for heads, and you play as a heavily pregnant cryptid entity with green skin and a rotary phone made out do flesh for a head named Phonegingi. They need to get into a funfair to lay their eggs, however they’re broke. Luckily, the funfair is having a 2 for 1 deal on tickets for Valentine’s Day! So now, Phonegingi goes around town, looking for a date to take them to the funfair! So the options are Randy the insecure Nokia who works as a sex-hotline operator and a swan wrestler, Karen the autistic printer who works at a bank, Oliver the geeky wall phone who works at his adoptive dad’s cinema, and Bigfoot! Or, you could get yourself banned from the town, which is called Dialtown, and meet Norm, the outcasted hypothetical astrophysicist cowboy, who is my personal favorite character.

Next, Dayshift at Freddy’s 1 is a horror RPG by DirectDogman, the creator of Dialtown. The protagonist of Dayshift at Freddy’s is Jack Kennedy. Jack is dead. He died in a springlock failure while working his minimum wage pizzeria job. He was falsely accused of the murder of his little sister Dee. Now, Jack gets a job at Freddy Fazbender’s Pizzeria, run by a dude with a rotary phone for a head, Steven Stevenson. Steven hasn’t seen his wife and kids in years due to the work contract he signed saying he wasn’t allowed to leave. Unfortunately, Jack is have stupid and signs the same contract. Now, this is where Jack meets his boyfriend Dave in the off-camera Safe Room. Dave and Jack go on a child-killing spree, give each other pet names, and other couple activities. Now, Steven is not pleased with this because it’ll get his restaurant shut down. Steven decides to work with the police to throw a false birthday party to catch Dave and Jack trying to kill a kid. This is a success, and Dave and Jack get caught. Well you see, Dave anticipated this and fixed up the deadliest animatronics, who kill the cops and allow Dave and Jack to burn down the pizzeria and run away to Las Vegas. The game has two sequels.
