Hate when someone online vents about not liking traditionally feminine things - and ESPECIALLY not liking the fact that society forces them to do it - and every response is
a) pick me accusation
b) "i used to be like you too but now i love my 294050 step skin care routine and playing with makeup and skinny jeans and gilmore girls teehee :) you'll grow out of it <3 anyway you should like it more because it's really good for you and helps your confidence!! Don't you want to have something to talk about with other girls :3"
c) "it's not valid to say you hate those things that's misogynist :("
d) "those things are not gendered, everyone should have a 294050 step skin care routine and wear makeup <3 especially queer people regardless of gender because everyone knows queer = femininity and if you don't do this you're ugly and boring and also queerphobic"
The worst thing is that some queer women do this, like bestie I thought living outside a pretty major societal norm meant we all had to reflect on the ways in which society (and the people it consists of) tries to put everyone in a box and, you know, fight it when we see it....... Even some lesbians do this and if you call it out they say "just because i'm a lesbian doesn't mean i'm not hot and conventionally attractively feminine!!" which I find terrible

An 0309 drabble for an anon ask I got a bit ago :) Thank you for being patient, I really enjoyed writing this!! It's actually a little moment I've wanted to write since I started Milgram fic, but never got around to it. (I mention his injured eye, but don't actually describe anything)
“Stop moving around so much.”
“Don’t tell me what to do.”
“I mean it. You’ll make things worse.”
Mikoto watched as the intensity in Fuuta’s gaze flickered between fire and fear.
He had a doctor’s kit laid out on his lap. Recently, Shidou had his hands full with Mahiru’s treatments and having intense conversations with Haruka, so Mikoto wanted to give him a break. With none of the injuries actually healing as they should, the prisoners were caught in an endless loop of changing bandages and checking for complications.
Shidou was grateful for the help. Many of the others tolerated Fuuta in the same way they spent only the necessary time around Mikoto. They smiled and placated him, acting like he’d gone mad all of the sudden. Whatever was making the others avoid the two of them, it drew the pair together. Mikoto was finding he enjoyed Fuuta’s company. Something about him was rather… charming.
“Me? You’re the asshole that will make things worse. You’re no doctor! Fuck you.”
Eh, maybe he had gone mad.
He took comfort, at least, in the knowledge that Fuuta was growing more comfortable with him. He sure had a special way of showing it, but Mikoto didn’t brag about being a people-person for nothing – he picked up on the way Fuuta sought him out during the day, pretending to be involved in his own activities. The way he struck up a conversation, then acted as if it had been Mikoto’s idea to come over and bother him.
Therefore it was exciting, though not surprising, when Fuuta allowed Mikoto to help treat his injuries. They had only done it a few times, but today brought a whole new challenge.
“I’m not performing surgery or anything. Shidou said it just needs some basic disinfecting.” He flashed his usual grin. “I have a steady hand – I’m a photographer, you know.”
Aside from Shidou, Fuuta hadn’t allowed a single person to look under his eyepatch.
He remained unamused by Mikoto’s smile. For better or worse, he could always tell when it was forced. “It’s not like I have any proof of that. You could be awful at it, for all I know.”
“First chance I get, I’ll request a camera and prove it. Want me to take a picture of you first?”
“If you haven’t already messed up my face…” Fuuta’s focus was glued to the hand carefully reaching towards him.
Mikoto pouted his lips. “Shidou trusted me enough with this. And you must have, because you agreed earlier. So If it’s not about me… You’re not scared, are you?”
There were some things that Fuuta didn’t stop to see through. He sputtered in surprise. “Hell no!” He lifted his chin, finally taking his attention off Mikoto’s hands. He stared defiantly. “I can take it.”
Mikoto felt a bit guilty for resorting to foul play. But not that guilty. “Good. Now hold still...”
He got right to it. One hand held ginger hair out of the way, while the other pinched the corner of the eyepatch. Fuuta’s good eye darted nervously around the room, avoiding the other's close-leaning face. Mikoto peeled it away swiftly, gently
As a horror movie buff, the injury didn’t faze him in the slightest. As someone who’d grown close to Fuuta recently, he felt a wave of anguish at the sight.
Fuuta squirmed. “It’s nasty, isn’t it…”
Mikoto reached down for some supplies. He considered mustering up a smile and saying there was no need to worry so much, but it would have been pointless. Times like these, it was kind of a relief when someone else could see right through him for a change.
“It looks like it hurts.”
“Tch, I don’t need any pity from you.”
“I was going to say, you hide it well. You’re tougher than the warden gives you credit for.”
His cheeks flushed red. “I – I don’t need any flattery from you either!”
“Don’t need anything from anybody, huh?”
Before he could come up with a retort, he hissed through his teeth in pain.
“Ah, sorry.” Mikoto immediately retracted his hand from where it had been dabbing alcohol onto the injury.
Steeling his expression, he muttered, “it’s fine.”
Mikoto tried again. He made sure to move with even more steadiness, his face drawn up in concentration. He saw Fuuta’s features flinch when he touched him, but he stayed still. The two were silent, now, as Mikoto worked. Leaning his face so close made the short task feel much longer. The reddening in his cheeks didn't subside.
He expected Fuuta to snatch the fresh eyepatch away the moment he unwrapped it – he was shocked that Fuuta let him adjust it into place without a word.
“Alright. You’re all set.” He started packing up the kit.
“Listen, don’t tell the others. About my eye.”
Mikoto squinted. He gestured to the right side of his face. “I hate to break it to you, but the big patch kinda gives you away.”
“You idiot! I just mean, don’t tell them what it looks like.” He pulled his hood down over his hair. “I don’t need everyone trying to steal a look at it like I’m some sort of freakshow.”
“Hey, of course.” Mikoto gave him a smile, the kind they both knew was genuine. “I’ve got you.”
Fuuta nodded. He turned his face away, his fingers lingering over where Mikoto’s had just been. “... And… thanks.”

something i keep thinking of is a mötley crüe streamer au…like i’ve been writing about it for most of the morning.
vince
vince would be a sort of gossip streamer, like he streams the latest gossip and stuff like that. he’s like if a drama channel on youtube had a twitch stream (he calls it Gossip Corner)
i think he’d also do make up looks, and they’d all be very complicated. he’d also recreate historical looks (like 1920’s flapper girl makeup) just for fun but his fans love it and keep asking him to do it.
would update fans on how the bands doing, shit talks his members (with love) and exposes whatever weird shit they do. sometimes one of the members catches him doing it live and is in the comments begging him to stop.
loves hearing the fans gossip, will try to give advice (this suddenly becomes a segment on his streams…mostly gives very weird and almost terrible advice because he doesn’t take it that seriously).
sometimes joins nikki on his streams when he’s reacting to something interesting (talks over him a lot and makes nikki almost banning him from coming on his streams).
always complains about missing a moldy stream, mick never tells him when he’s going to do one.
nikki
most of his streams are him reacting to something
he has set schedules for streams and he almost streams everyday
varies from stupid memes to new music
he always reacts to new music on fridays (appropriately called “New Music Fridays”), and he’s uber critical about the music he reacts to (unless it’s some of his friends, then he’ll get all bootlicker)
hypes up the other members streams all the time, even during his own streams. sometimes will abandon his own stream to watch one of the members streams (mostly mick)
does “try not to laugh” challenges with tommy on stream
always fights his chat if they’re being a bit negative during new music fridays
mick
ok this one’s gonna be good
so, whenever mick does livestreams while drunk, everyone calls it a “Moldy Streams” (mainly because mick always refers to himself as being “moldy” when he’s wasted) those are the streams that always go viral.
he usually streams himself playing video games, but does other things like reacting to videos that everyone requests, playing his guitar, doing really weird things (he once tried to see how much hairspray would make his hair really stiff). he usually tries to play certain video games while drunk but he constantly loses and it makes him go insane (one time he was trying to play geometry dash and couldn’t even make it past the first level and immediately started to bash his head against his desk).
when he’s not absolutely wasted, he’s still a bit weird and does things to avoid going silent. one time he tried to stand up on his rolling chair and almost fell. all he could say was “i just wanted to see if i could do it.”
tommy loves to come over to his room when he’s doing a moldy stream just to see how ridiculous he’s being. he’s literally just in the corner of the room laughing hard as mick screams in agony about whatever game he’s playing.
gets tricked into playing doki doki literature club (ifykyk) because a viewer said it was just a cute game about schoolgirls who are in a poetry club together (he’d probably be like “aww that’s something my daughter would like :)”). literally halfway through the game he’s throughly disturbed. constantly goes “you guys lied to me, what is this?” by the end of it he’s just tired and can’t believe he played a game like that.
i’ve said this before but he’s so jerma coded, just purely chaotic and weird but everyone loves him and constantly thirsts for him (he purposely ignores those comments unless he’s a bit buzzed).
tommy
does literally anything
loves joining in on nikki and mick’s streams and just being there
he’d do something scandalous like wear a speedo and try not to get banned somehow if he did get banned his fansbase comes together to get him unbanned (which somehow works) and it ends up with twitch unbanning him and reworking the guidelines so that you can wear things like speedos as long as you’re explicit on the age range that should be watching (he’s gotta title things like “time to get freaky (18+)” but he finds it funny so it doesn’t matter).
he’s kind of a wild card in that nobody really knows what they’re going to get when they watch his stream…one time he literally tried to make an ikea bookshelf in his room and nearly threw a hammer at the wall, within 30 minutes he’d moved on to watching some dumb tiktok compilation.
he would SO watch fan edits of himself and react to them live (he loves all of them and is so amazed that people could make things like edits).
all of his streams have “tommy funny stream moment” youtube compilations made as soon as it ends.
the band as a whole would regularly livestream rehearsals, soundchecks, a couple of q&as together. that’s all i really have, i just had a lil idea that’s all!
