To keep the bulletpoint list hopefully short: Patch/QoL mods that fix vanilla issues (i.e. USSEP, D13, SMIM, the like), follower mods (save for Miraak since S:EC seems to have something planned for him), mods done to tweak the Werewolf experience, combat & boss difficulty mods, Mods that overhaul NPCs dialogue/AI (guards, citizens in general), weather mods, music mods, & mods that make Argonians & Khajiit look a bit more fun are for sure staying! Any civil war mods I have might be trimmed off, debating on how S:EC approaches reworking the secondary story quest. That being said:

BarenziahQM - For the sole fact it makes that quest soo much better

Paarthunax Dilemma - a solid maybe? S:EC is also gonna do something bout this part of the Blades quest if I read their reddit post correctly, so I might just leave it disabled & see what happens first

Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions - yes pls let me make Tei a papa to every Skyrim also I need it to make Kaidan’s home available for the kiddos

Derkeethus - makes him a more decent follower but eeeh idk i rarely take him out often so it might be snipped itsa maybe

Destructible Display Cases- sometimes i’m too lazy to lockpick

No more Stupid Dog/Immersive Good Boy- Meeko is a good boy I should be able to tell him & also my kids + housecarls shouldn’t call him stupid >:(

More Argonians- I just like these funky reptiles (used to have More Khajiits too but it always would CTD at a certain inn w it installed. F)

Alternate Start- Makes things more spicy

CH- Sorta QoL for the skyrim horses, for sure staying

FTA&C- Again, makes things more spicy, but in the event of some group jumping you while traveling

Vigilant- Maybe?? It’s fun as hell but not really in character for Jeer-Tei. Perhaps re-enabled later as an end game thing alongside BS: Atmora whenever that comes out?

Shout- makes cooldowns more bearable so itsa keep

DSF- also a QoL mod

Immersive Movement + More Tavern Idles + Better Jumping + Immersive Encounters

AFT- big traveling groups are always fun/it makes it easier to horde keep all of Skyrim’s dogs

Race Menu + Racial BM SE- falls under “makes Argonians more fun” like some other argonian focused mods I guess? RBM plays around w everyones height and RM just lets you go buck wild (in a sfw way! unless...yknow you got nsf/w mods i guess) doesn’t hurt to specify tho lol

Alternate Convo Camera- Really fun!! Despite it pointing out how short my LDB is

Deadly Dragons- Makes fighting the Dovah much more fun w all the (honestly not as canon) diversity in looks & abilities! Can recommend, not too harsh on older devices either from what I know

Play as a Dragon + Monster Race Fix- another hard maybe because well...you turn into a dragon which isn’t too immersive I guess?? Probably another “end game” mod for Tei

MODS IM EYEING/WANT TO GET (this post is so long so far I’m sorry)

Survival Mods!! (iNeed is one I’m looking at & maaaybe Frostfall?? idk i’ll have to see about that one i heard its not too fun for the Argonian gang) P much looking for something that’ll make exploring the wilds of Skyrim less of a bore

Camping + Hunting based mods! I’ve been eyeing Campfire & Hunterborn specifically, but open to any other suggestions. Same reasoning as survival mods, makes it more fun to travel! Plus, I’m going for an in character experience, it would fit Tei!

Khash & Auri follower mods. I’ve been eyeing these two for a bit, but from my experience w adding Kaidan & Lucien late game, I miss a lot of fun stuff D: So I’m planning on nabbing them for a fresh playthrough under S:EC (or at least, Khash! I uh...don’t know how to download mods manually/always mess it up & Auri doesn’t have the option to let Vortex do all the work unfortunately, but we’ll see!)

Maybe some nice armor mods?? Again nothing too heavy to handle but just to add some flavor(tm)

Saw a mod that made Animal AI a bit more realistic, might nab that

long shot but a mod that lets everyone refer to your LDB via they/them pronouns would be cool too but idk feel like it’d be a nightmare to attempt modder wise. Honestly i’d love the idea of having a mod or two that’ll let me confirm that Tei is trans themselves in game (3DNPC has a quest where you can say your character is, but that’s about it to my knowledge)! Buuut I’m unsure to search for any cause: 1) I don’t want to deal w transphobes ruining my searches & my day on Nexus & 2) Any curious google/bing searches keep bringing up Lovers lab & mmmm no thank you.

and uh...so far that’s the base of it? idk im still looking around & I might have to add/drop some things depending on like...how much my current computer can handle, Not grabbing any fancy graphics mods, that’s for sure lol

Day 8: Blizzard

               Charlie was really enjoying herself. The night may have started off as a way of helping her brothers out, but this Christmas event was actually super amazing. She had managed to snag a hand-knit elf hat while Sam asked about custom made dolls of all things. Charlie got Sam a headband with reindeer antlers and insisted that he wear them. She even convinced him to take a selfie with her, although he voiced his concerns about her using the picture for blackmail purposes.

               “Why are you looking for dolls, Sam? What does that have to do with talking to Dean?” Sam smiled mysteriously and wiggled his eyebrows at her.

               “You’ll have to wait and see. You’re so impatient. What’s with the picture taking by the way?”

               “I just thought it’d be nice. I got some sneaky ones of Dean being all adorable with Cas.” Sam laughed.

               “So, you are trying for blackmail, clever.” Charlie rolled her eyes. “Actually, can I see the pictures?”

               “Sure.” Charlie handed her phone over to Sam. He took a few moments to look through them with a grin growing across his face.

               “Do you mind if I send some of these to myself?”

               “Go ahead.” Sam thanked her and spent a few moments emailing himself some of the photos.

               “If you get anymore tonight, can you send them as well? Dean’s working on a gift for Cas, and I think I can add on to it a bit.” Charlie nodded her agreement.

               “No prob. What are you up to, a photo album or something?” Sam shrugged.

               “Not really, I’m going to frame some of them. I’m not sure I have enough for an album, we don’t stop and take pictures all that often,” Sam gave Charlie half of a smile and then spotted something in the distance. “Hey, I think that’s the booth I’m looking for.”

               Charlie wandered around the custom doll booth for a bit while Sam got into a deep discussion with the artist running the place. It took long enough that she’d started playing on her phone by the time Sam walked back over.

               “Well, that cost way more than I was originally intending to spend on Dean, and she won’t have it ready until tomorrow night, but I think it’ll be worth it.” Sam honestly looks excited just for himself, so Charlie just punches his arm and grins.

               “You better find somewhere for everyone to spend the night then. Check out the forecast.” Sam’s eyes widen in mild surprise as he sees the weather app on Charlie’s screen.

               “Wow, yeah, I don’t think we want to be driving in that. Especially since the Impala isn’t exactly the best car for snow. An actual blizzard, huh?”

               “Yeah, it may still miss this area but we might as well see where we can snag a few rooms. There’s some sort of 1800s B&B within walking distance. After that we can go meet Santa Claus!” Charlie clapped her hands with glee and started bounding off to wherever this inn was supposed to be as Sam followed her with a bemused expression.

               “Dean. There is one over here.” Dean walked over to Cas while dodging some of the crystals hanging from the ceiling in the New Age-y shop one of the kids they’d passed had tipped them off about. Cas had stopped trying to restrain his smile, he was enjoying how much fun Dean seemed to be having playing this silly game.

               “Awesome! You’re pretty good at this angel spotting thing.” Dean smirked and winked at the actual angel in the store.

               “Yes,” Cas said dryly. “It does seem to be some sort of innate skill on my part.” Dean chuckled and makes sure Castiel records the newest scavenger hunt angel on his list.

               “We only have one more on the list. Where haven’t we gone yet?” Castiel lifts an eyebrow as Dean pours over the small map of the historic city he’d found in the event booklet.

               “We haven’t gone to get coffee yet. I believe someone mentioned coffee to me before starting this endeavor but we’ve been walking around for an hour, and I still have yet to see any.” Dean rolled his eyes.

               “Wow, Cas. I will say the one human trait that’s given you very little problems is sarcasm.” Cas just continued to look at Dean expectantly. “Alright, alright, lets go get you coffee, angel.”

Dean grabbed Cas’ hand to lead him out of the store through the maze of shimmering crystals, painted tarot cards, and velvet draped tables. Cas’ chest felt tight with hope as he allowed himself to be pulled up the stairs towards the door. While, yes, Cas was an angel, that’s not what the word had sounded like when Dean had just said it. Cas felt another wave of grace pulse through his still fragile wings. He kept his grip on Dean’s hand as if it were the only thing keeping him from drowning.

Once they got outside Dean started walking uphill towards the coffee shop he’d seen on the map. Castiel stayed quiet while following, as he didn’t want to draw Dean’s attention to the way that they were still holding hands.                

               Eventually though, they reached their destination and Dean dropped Castiel’s hand to hold open the door to the small shop with local artwork decorating the walls. Cas immediately missed the feeling of Dean’s hand but pretended to be absorbed in reading the menu board to compose himself before looking back over at his best friend.                

               “Do you see anything you want, Cas?” For one insane moment Cas almost said - yes, you. Clearing his throat to cover up his near miss Cas stumbled over his words.

               “Uh, just something warm? Would you pick? There are too many choices.” Dean’s eyes ran across the menu board for a few minutes.

               “You said you could kind of taste the peppermint bark we made, right? The have peppermint flavor on the specials board, if you want.” Cas nodded and let Dean order coffee for Castiel and hot chocolate for himself. While Dean was ordering Cas looked around at some of the artwork hanging on the walls, keeping an eye out for their last scavenger hunt angel. He was contemplating a painting that seemed to be an abstract version of a human eye when Dean came up behind him holding two mismatched mugs.

               “Let’s go upstairs, Cas. It’s kinda crowded down here and the barista told me they have an outdoor area up there.” Cas followed Dean up the stairs of the historic building. The upstairs did seem to be more peaceful. Dean walked over to doors leading outside and Cas reached in front of Dean to grab the door since he was still carrying their drinks.

               “This is beautiful,” stated Cas. The angel stood still for a moment, taking in the narrow wooden balcony that wrapped into a steep drop off of stone that served as a wall to the store but hadn’t been altered from the outside. Dean noticed what Castiel was looking at and led them back to a table right by the natural rock wall. They had an excellent view of the main street and all of the lights from their vantage point.

               “I have to admit, this is a pretty cool place.” Cas agreed with Dean and pulled his drink towards him, only then noticing that the notably handmade mug was covered in bumps that were painted to look like bees. He glanced up at Dean only to find him watching Cas in anticipation. A smile slowly spread across the angel’s face.

               “Bees? You asked them for this mug, didn’t you?” Dean chuckled.

               “Yeah. If I recall you were very enthusiastic about bees a few years ago.” If Castiel could get any redder out in the biting cold he would have.

               “I do like bees, yes.” Castiel attempted to maintain a solemn expression but this was ruined when he looked down at the mug again, feeling new feathers forming as his grace pulsed behind him once again. Dean reached across and touched Cas’ arm for just a moment.

               “Hey Cas, are you okay?” When Cas looked back up into Dean’s face, he knew his eyes had teared up a bit, but he smiled fondly at Dean nonetheless.

               “I’m wonderful Dean. I just – it was very kind of you. To think of me like that, I mean.” Castiel crinkled his nose to try and prevent himself from actually crying. Dean’s face was hard to read just then, some sort of mixture of guilt and perhaps understanding.

               “I, um, I just thought it’d make you smile man.” Dean rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and Cas decided it was time to change the subject.

They began a heated discussion of where they should look next for the last angel. While they were debating the merits of looking in the small train museum it started to snow and Cas took a few seconds to enjoy the sight of the flakes falling on the beautiful street below. They made there way back inside thinking that they may just have to skip to meeting Charlie and Sam as the restaurant was at the opposite end of the main road and the snow was picking up fast. Dean grabbed Castiel’s mug to return them to the front and the angel pulled the blue and white knit hat he’d picked up over his head. He’d made Dean get one as well, in green and red, something he’d probably be less resistant too now that it was snowing. Castiel smiled at the memory of Dean’s protests over the pompom on top of the hat.

               “The guy up front said this snow may turn into a blizzard late tonight, so we should definitely regroup with the others.” Castiel silently held the knit hat up to Dean and rolling his eyes he tilted his head forward a bit so Cas could easily pull it on. Cas opened the door and was quietly happy as Dean took his hand again to lead him through the small crowd of shoppers.

Chart First Impressions: Jun

These are just the first impressions I had to all of their charts – the parts that popped out to me as being notable, things I personally liked, things I thought were interesting or contrary to the image I have of them. Things like that. I’m not looking at anything in particular with each reading. Some of their readings may be more aspect focused, where some may just focus solely on their personal planets. lmao i look at Jun’s chart and it’s a rollercoaster. 

at first I’m like oh god, that’s a lot to handle with a gemini sun and an aries moon. 

then I see the taurus mercury and mars and I’m even more confused.

then I see his taurus mercury and mars is in the 3rd (capricorn) decan and I’m conflicted on all fronts.  

he has a very, very young chart. 

all of his personal planets are from the first cycling of the elements in air, fire & earth. 

these signs have a very young, relentless, and stubborn energy to them.  

the first few signs of astrology are like the toddlers of the signs. They’re just learning how to walk, can’t speak, are screaming/crying all the time (obviously this is a gross over-exaggeration, but thats the gist). 

they go where their fancy takes them. 

gemini leads by curiosity, aries leads by passion, taurus leads by comfort. 

i think this is why Jun has such a young and innocent aura about him. 

his energies are very childlike in their curiosity, vitality, and love for just doing things for the sake of doing them.

he’s MAD stubborn. My GOD. 

primarily for his taurus placements, but also no help due in part to a headstrong gemini and one-track-mind aries.

totally immovable, this guy. once he’s got his mind set on something it’s over. 

taurus influence gives him that dedication and strength of will to stick with what the says, and then you got those gemini/aquarian influences giving him the mental tools to argue his way through anything. 

tho taurus influences aren’t always stubborn out of principle, sometimes they just don’t like change and will stubbornly stick to what they know because that’s what they’re comfortable with.

but all of that persistent aries energy mixed with all that fixed taurus and aquarian energy (gemini venus in 3rd decan w/ uranus trine mercury & mars gives him that added aqua) -- his biggest pet peeve is more than likely people trying to control what he does based off a sense of “what would other people think.”

this may not be a good example of this particularly, but i think it’s a good example generally of his personality and i’ll explain this more once i get there. 

think of that time Jeonghan told him to stop stomping on the floors because it’d bother their neighbors.

he directly disobeyed him and continued doing it, and honestly probably because it wasn’t THAT big a deal and it frustrated him that it was being pointed out. 

this is that restless energy wrapped up in all of that individualistic aquarian that hates, symbolically, this whole concept of “don’t do that, what would they think?”

his playful and restless energies wanted to make a joke of it and he probably stopped EVENTUALLY after he made his point. 

not to mention he was probably even more frustrated BECAUSE he gets so restless. 

gemini sun and an aries moon means his mind works so fast and his aries moon is literally bursting with energy. 

he get’s incredibly antsy if he’s not allowed to put his energy out there which is probs why he got annoyed he was being told to stop and why he probably found something else to do immediately after.

you can spot a gemini when they walk in a room because they’re eyes are darting everywhere or they’re using some kind of tick like tapping their toes or playing with something in their hands. 

and then aries influences are easy to spot because they touch literally EVERYTHING. they just randomly start doing things without any kind of hesitation. 

aries is the sign where you see them start to do something and you think to yourself, “surely they wont actually do that” and before you know it they’ve done it. 

think to the mbti hidden camera vid. he walked into the room AND IMMEDIATELY TOUCHED THE FIRST MANNEQUIN and before he thinks too hard about whether or not it’s a a real human he moves to the NEXT ONE AND GRABS HIS FACE. 

and the pd literally just has to be like “sit down” and he’s sitting down and acting like nothing happened.

he’s just a hyper guy and i think he comes off “childish” because he has these wonderfully lively and enthusiastic energies.

not only that, but there really is nothing in his chart blocking them from being released because his personal planets are so young and have no hard aspects. 

he’s super playful and sees no reason to apologize for that.

he will bond with people based off of sense of humor, a love for the light things, and an ability to connect on an intellectual level through these things.

with these placements, i imagine he makes the kind of friendships where you don’t realize he’s as close to his friends as he makes it seem until something is wrong or they seriously need him. 

then he’ll show up ten fold. 

he connects with others in such a seamless and playful way thanks to those air energies, but his taurus placements are so deeply committed, reliable, and emotionally competent that he’s far more present and committed than you’d imagine. 

he contributes so much more than just being that fun, light company. 

he’s a true and sincere friend.

it’s very interesting because a gemini sun and aries moon would come across to me as very short tempered, super impatient. 

but a taurus mars and mercury are inherently incredibly patient, stubborn, and enduring people. they’ll be the last people to give up on a relationship.

so you may see a weird mix of the two. he may be super patient when necessary, and then totally hot-headed a moment later about the most ridiculous thing.

but lets talk about those capricorn decans. 

having his taurus mercury and mars in capricorn decan kind of wraps all of these very fixed, stubborn taurus energies into a very disciplined & logical package. 

where a taurus may fall victim to sloth or melancholy, his capricorn energies swoop in and tell him to get off his butt. 

it can also explain why, while having such flighty and impulsive placements, he is still an incredibly hard worker (obviously there can be other influences as well such as houses but we can’t get into that cuz we don’t have his birth time). 

he will never take life too seriously, but will readily and gladly invite new and intriguing interests and hobbies as they come and will pursue them with passion until he is satisfied. 

both due to his aquarian influence desiring new experiences, his gemini influence that loves having his attention grabbed and held onto, but also due to his Capricorn influence that has a strong desire for completion and accomplishment.

his uranus and neptune are very well aspected to mercury and mars. 

this makes him very open-minded and furthers his curiosity which can add to that youthful feel. 

the aquarius influence makes him a very individual thinker -- not overly concerned with conforming to norms and more concerned with being authentic and intellectually challenged.

the neptunian vibes also add to this desire for eccentricity and individuality with a great appreciation towards the more creative ways these may be expressed. 

giving neptune such a clear and easy path for expression in mars also means he is very emotionally intuitive and feeling, although he may not be very aware of this as it flies under the radar of his immediate consciousness. he may downplay it if ever brought up. 

his gemini venus being in the 3rd decan gives an even stronger aquarian influence -- making him very attracted to challenging, unconventional things and people. 

solely based off his chart, every single aspect of his will give off an incredibly strong first impression. 

he has the kind of energy you’d feel immediately. 

literally the moment he walks in you can feel his mind buzz.

for more water or earth dom people this can make you feel stressed or uneasy. 

air and fire signs are used to it and often times thrive with this energy. 

either way you’re bound to have an opinion of him, good or bad, but over time you’d eventually come to realize how deep thinking, inherently unique, and interesting he his.

if he’s your speed you’ll learn to appreciate his oddities. 

you’ll find his flighty interests & passions, out-there humor, and overall sincerity incredibly endearing. 

especially if you’re one to be drawn to those who aren’t overly inhibited by fear of ridicule. 

you’ll think he’s a breath of fresh air.

Love Letters from the Chocobros + Ravus, Luna, Cor, Nyx, and Ardyn

Earlier I wrote a love letter from Ravus that I really enjoyed writing, so I thought I’d do one for all of my favs! I sliiightly edited Ravus’s as well and included it here!

This man so rarely communicates with anyone that it is truly special for him to have a message chain with you. You can bet that he never deletes anything you send him. You’ll probably also get King’s Knight invites. Playing the game together helps you two feel closer, even if you can’t be.

Prompto would also text, but he’d send a selfie with either heart stickers all over it or doing the heart hands thing (or both, depending on how much time he has). He also sends multiple messages as things come to him. Prepare for a cheese fest with this cutie.

You know you’re special with Prompto because he always replies as soon as he can, we’re talking like a three second response time. If he can’t respond right away, he’ll apologize profusely when he does text you. He’d use tons of emojis, just...all of them. Prompto is probably the only one who you can reach out to whenever you want and he’ll always try to make time for you.
