Soooo why do you think Evil Morty looked so angry after Rick pulled Morty Prime through the portal by his shirt? I saw @glitteringcrab point this out in one of their posts, but I assumed it was unintentional, but on one of my rewatches, I paid attention to Evil Morty's facial expressions, and yeah, this was definitely intentional, Evil Morty gave Morty Prime an angry glare for several seconds, it's not even directed at Rick, he's glaring directly at Morty Prime, in fact, he actually doesn't look angry when he looked back at Rick, even when he changes his expression, he's still angrily glaring at Morty, and he only regained his neutral expression when he looked at Rick. This is kinda weird, since he only ever seems mildly annoyed by Morty Prime at worst in this episode. I personally believe it's jealousy, since all Evil Morty wanted, in the beginning, was a grandpa who cared about him, Evil Rick was mentally and was implied to be physically abusive to him, and our Rick, Rick C-137, really doesn't care about Evil Morty like, at all, really the only Morty he cares about is Morty Prime, and Morty Prime actually has that, so Evil Morty might feel some jealousy, what do y'all think? Please put your answer in the comments or tags!

i always love this part in episode 2 where fries just hugs morty but burger pushes both of them out of the way before they can get hurt, because of the fact that they’re both somewhat rick. when faced with danger, rick normally would push morty out of there, but there is a clearly equally as prominent part of his mind that just wants to hold onto him and die with him. idk that’s what this tiny detail conveys to me

I so believe that once Rick realized that he could, he destroyed Prime's Earth on purpose.
I also love that his body language changes over time. He starts out so much more stiff and with his shoulders hunched (a lot like toxic Rick), but he seems to slowly relax with time.
I'm so obsessed with his character and development, he's so complex and subtle.

Rick Sanchez peak autism moment in episode 3x02: when he’s having dinner with Beth and the robot kids and he keeps telling them things like ‘dial it back Summer… by 15% and increase dynamic movement by 3%’ and then when Beth starts crying he tries to console her and then tells her ‘try crying 15% less’

rick's backstory introduced a lot of plot holes and basically you can either accept the pre-backstory-reveal era as its own subset of canon OR you can headcanon ways for them to make sense SO i think the main issue with the multiverse setup is birdperson, because he's presumably as infinite as everyone else BUT the way rick acts about him would only make sense if it's always the same birdperson FURTHERMORE some moments absolutely ring hollow because of the backstory, in particular any nods to rick c-137 and morty prime having interacted before rick landed in the prime dimension just before s1 such as the picture of rick holding baby morty in bird person's house and rick's memory of holding baby morty SO for the sake of narrative cohesion rick should always have been friends with the same birdperson, and to a lesser extent the same morty, and overall because rick knew the prime dimension was the prime dimension when he settled there it makes sense for him to have spent a lot of time there before THEREFORE instead of his birdperson being some random universe's birdperson it would make sense for him to be the prime dimension's birdperson AND THEN with the possibility that rick spent a lot of time in the prime dimension prior to s1 (and even the creation of the citadel of ricks) while he hunted rick prime - it makes sense for him to have exhausted earth prime for resources on where to find rick prime SO that means he may have even been around the prime dimension for morty prime's birth (maybe part of him thought morty's birth would draw rick prime back into the picture, who knows) AND SO the baby photos and memories are indeed of morty prime. ffdkffffggjtjfgggg,,,,,,,,, ,,

So I just thought abt this… I only started watching Rick and Morty abt a month ago, and I got to see the release of imo one of the best seasons (fear no mort gave me the Morty content I needed to not immediately cross this season off the list)… and I am so happy that I got to witness the fandom and be apart of it while big things were happening in the show! RnM will definitely be a hyperfixation that will stay a while (*^‿^*)

obsessed with korvo's expressions. nobody in rnm ever looks as genuinely lovestruck as he does when he flips linus' line backwards and listens to how excited terry is to win. not to be a sappy mess on the rick and morty blog but i just think about it a lot

I guess I’ll give my lengthy opinions on Full Meta Jackrick
It was funnier than some of the other episodes in the season in a dumb random humor way but the meta commentary also came across as very pretentious, especially when they brought in Joseph Campbell voiced by Dan Harmon.
The self-deprecation the writers expressed when they used Rick to call the episode concept bad and the puns groan-inducing was half amusing and half annoying, given that they still did exactly what they were criticizing without offering any unique spin that would elevate it.
The best part was the cold open and intro for leaning into absurd vignettes. As soon as the episode tried to inject structure into the concept, I felt it lost most of the initial charm.
There was no meta joke about the show’s recent abundance of incest humor. Missed opportunity.
The “Previously on Jesus Christ” joke made me laugh a lot though.
Also this:

I enjoyed everything about the Rhett Caan scene. The fact that he was a ridiculously overpowered menace that Rick regretted unleashing actually seemed sort of smart. I, too, worry about Rick and Morty falling into the trap of needing to retcon or ignore previous scenes due to the writers’ lack of planning for major plot elements.
Marvin the Cowardly Security Guard got a decent chuckle out of me too. What a likable guy.
“Rick can’t change” said by the writing guru yet we’re repeatedly shown Rick treating Morty with gentle kindness in this episode. I’m getting mixed messages here.

Rick thinking Joseph Campbell got Morty pregnant and repeatedly dunking his head in a bucket of water was so out of left field. In a good way. I think.
Story Lord being smothered to death by a knock-off looking Rick plush had no right being as funny as it was.
As a sequel, the episode did seem to be criticizing the original Never Ricking Morty a lot... which is interesting even though it’s also frustrating that they spent an entire episode to do that. It sadly did feel like it was retreading too much of the same ground by bringing back Story Lord, but Rick’s distaste for meta commentary was a major difference I could appreciate. I HOPE this means that the writers are aware of how an over-reliance on meta references can harm fan investment.
This moment in particular where Rick rejects the meta character and reinforces Morty’s significance as a character who’s actually real and important to him is excellent:

I still wish the “previously on” segments were tied more directly into the show’s concept of the multiverse to better integrate it with canon. Idk, something like there being a leak between different realities. The characters entering the “meta layer” was a little too on the nose for me and shattered immersion. (Yes, this too was commented upon but I still didn’t LIKE it.)
At least we got confirmation that the Rick and Morty at the end of Never Ricking Morty were the same ones we’ve been following since there was a fan theory floating around that they were different ones entirely. That means the Rick who told Morty to “give grandpa a kiss” was in fact C-137.
