Fine. I’ll admit it. I’m coming out as an I Robot, You Jane sympathizer. I like that episode. The first scene in the library alone like!! Giles’s snide little “of course 😒”. The iconic “if you’re not jacked in, you’re not alive,” line that I quote relentlessly. The interpretation of scanning a book as being the same as “reading” it, which is just (unintentionally) so, so fascinating to me. The way the whole episode as a Time Capsule of anxieties not just about the internet and technology and “stranger danger”, but more broadly about information and knowledge and privacy and human connection. The idea that the mystical and the divine is everywhere, even in digital spaces. Willow has a picture of her and Giles in her locker. She has a picture of herself and Rupert Giles. Hanging In Her Locker. I cannot emphasize this enough. Willow has a picture of her and her high school librarian Rupert Giles hanging prominently in her locker. And. most importantly. Jenny Calendar. <3

yeah re-watching season one of buffy is great and nostalgic and everyone is so small and mostly unharmed but sometimes jenny and giles will be onscreen together and i'll just start spontaneously sobbing

Why didn't they just burn the book that contained Moloch? like the people who trapped him there initially. If he was trapped in the book wouldn't burning it have killed him? They could have saved everyone a lot of trouble.

Hey. I'm not really one to throw my hat into the ring over any kind of discourse or anything like that, it's really not my style. But it is really upsetting seeing mutuals, especially my friends, openly and honestly kinda viciously put themselves down.

I struggled a LOT with self love/acceptance, and I know how hard it is to achieve it, but I promise you the effort is SO worth it. Self shipping, whether it's a coping mechanism or a hobby, is something that should make you happy, not sad, and believe me it is detrimental to your health to constantly be making a mockery of yourself, especially through the lense of something that you LOVE.

I know each one of you has boundless love for your f/os and for each other, turn it INWARD. Make your f/os as crazy about you as you are about them, even if you don't really believe it at first and I promise you that over time you will and self shipping will be more fun than ever.

My biggest grievance is that we never really got a 2000's 'futuristic' redesign for K9 that would have inevitably shook the doctor who community to its core with horror and have resulted in the design being canned or reverted immediately, just like pretty much every single dalek redesign but particularly the paradigm ones. I'd always had the personal belief that when Jun confronted Kaz she impressed him so hard that he stopped the animal experiments solely by her request (and kept his word to the point where he never ever resumed them, not even at gcorp!!) so T8 having him be BUCKWILD over her strength is so validating and now those comics are just hilarious because all the ex-trial animals casually milling around is literally the best and funniest potential outcome (idgaf if the comics specifically aren't canon, the *idea* is now real to me!!)

(The way he worded this. If it was "supposed" to be shut down, it means the order to do so came from him, and not like, smth heihachi did when he took back the zaibatsu or something. So him stopping the animal experiments at jun's request after she made quite the impression on him and probably never doing those again even at gcorp, a BIOTECH firm and GENETICS RESEARCH lab, is actually pretty solid 👀)
